This place knows how to do coffee right! Their beans are freshly roasted, and you can really taste the difference in every cup—smooth, rich, and full of flavor. If you appreciate a well-made coffee, this spot is definitely worth a visit.

The coffee here tasted so good. The pan aux raisin was great too! Only downside is that the shop is quite small and it was super busy.

Guys and gals working here were awesome and a perfect flat white and iced latte. Best coffee I’ve had in a long time!

Great coffee and almond croissant

Lilliputian interior offset by outdoor seating in the narrow passageway. Robust and aromatic coffee that’s comfortingly better than better. A nominal tease of pastries, cakes and lite-bites confirm rather than challenge expectations. No cash … thank you, with prices in line with industry average. The service is prompt and efficient.

Couldn’t believe it when I saw a charge of £5 for a coffee. Nearly refused to pay and cancelled my order but I was desperate for a warm place to sit as it was cold and rainy outside. They charge an extra 50p for decaf and an extra 50p for oat milk. It isn’t my fault I can’t have dairy so don’t think it’s fair to charge extra for this, considering most places don’t anymore. Would have been fine with this if the coffee was great and large but it was small and mediocre. Then there was nowhere to sit. Staff were nice enough. Not going back here though.

Not hugely cheap, nice coffee & decent pastries. A few tables inside, but can be very busy.

I've had their coffee before and it was good, matcha though could use a lot of improvement because it was almost just milk with a dash of matcha 🥲 But their coffee is good!!

For 5 pounds, I got just slightly warmed milk instead of the matcha latte I ordered. Waste of money.

Great coffee but charging extra for alternative milks is absurd.

Staff need to be trained properly how to make coffees. The texture of milk was horrible. One of the worst latte I have ever had(see the pictures). I ordered my coffee with skimmed milk but, they used whole milk. Although the taste of coffee was not bad, I would not come back as I did not feel comfortable with staff attitude.

The seasonal miso hot chocolate was boring and did not even count as a good chocolate drink, very weak & watery chocolate taste. £4.5 ? Please show some dedication in your products. We were really disappointed. It's ok to just focus on coffee if you can't make good hot chocolate🙂

Unfortunately this coffee blend was not to our taste - very sour but still tasted watery. Small cup for £4. Specifically asked for "sit in" but still served in a paper cup. Space cramped. Would not visit again or recommend.

Good coffee, speedy delivery but cramped space. Most annoyingly: the card machine had preselected tipping options in a place where I pick up my own coffee. What is this, the USA? Stop nudging customers to tip and instead pay your staff a fair wage.

Came here for a quick coffee, lured in by the nice reviews and interesting coffee alternatives. Unfortunately we were greeted by a very cold and disrespectful staff. Not only they were very unfriendly, but they got very annoyed while we were taking time to choose what to order, and rude when we finally ended up ordering. It’s really sad since the coffee was nice but the atmosphere was very unwelcoming because of the staff. I don’t think we will come back again or recommend this place

Hot chocolate not hot. Prompted to tip Barrista on payment? This isn’t NYC and defo not before receiving purchase. Poor

The coffee shot is small but very cosy. The carrot cake is delicious, the chai latte could have been better but the service was good!

Solid coffee. Recommend asking for slightly less milk in an espresso beverage if you so prefer.

Delicious specialty coffee options and kind staff. I went twice in the afternoon and hope to come back tomorrow. Next time I'm in London; this is on my list! The Monte Alban decaf coffee they had was delicious. It's hard to do decaf well but they nailed it!

Stopped by to grab an iced drink and the place was pretty small and not many seats. But the drinks were pretty good. My friends and I got it to go. The service was very fast! The staff were very friendly! We didn’t wait long and it was pretty good and priced well. I recommend coming here and walking around the area.

Came for the good reviews, staffs not super friendly. Takeaway lid station is empty and everyone’s confused by all the lid sizes. Coffee is really just normal. Unfortunately.

Had a cup of tea today & the staff were extremely friendly, helpful and kind. Tea was lovely as well!

I had a Flat White with the house blend (“The Yard”) beans. It was too milky for my taste, although it did balance the extra acidity. Good service. Paper cups. Somewhat better than the average random coffee shops in London.

My cortado was delicious and interesting, lots of complex flavours which I love. Any coffee lover and nerd will love this!

Nice products but absoloutely horrendous staff, everytime i go they look absoloutely baffled when i order standard items, and as if a please thanku or even a hello is a foriegn concept.

Very expensive for a tiny amount of hot drink. Coffee was nice but not very hot. Hot chocolate was watery and also not very hot. Wouldn't recommend.

The Redemption Roasters is situated in Lower Staple Street, Coal Drops Yard, which is near Kings Cross. It is situated amongst lots of other cafes, restaurants, fast food shops. It has some seating inside and outside and it gets very busy with constant customers. It offers teas, coffees and selections of cakes, nuts etc. It also sells packets of coffees and teas etc. The cafe is clean and it has efficient staff.

Suspicious “racists”service were provided. Felt disrespected while we as an Asian group ordered blacked iced Americano. Cocky service tones and eyes rolling. Pls reconsider before stepping in if you were from the BAME group.

Went to grab a quick pastry after lunch. Tried the Cardamom bun which was fine but nothing special. Not worth £3.90.

Great coffee place. We went here daily. Incredibly friendly staff who were willing to make everything to our exact specifications. We aren’t overly picky but they let us be. Highly recommend.

We’ve come here twice on our trip to London and we loved it! Although it was very crowded and full, the staff was very calm and always kind to the customers. The coffee was delicious and the baked goods as well!

Decent, quality coffee, although it was £4.50 for an oat milk flat white. Yes, this is London - but that is still pretty excessive. I don’t believe plant milk should ever be an extra charge when cow’s milk is not, hence the 4 stars.

This little café has potential to be better, but is reliable if you’re in need of a quick bite. The food is mediocre currently, as I found both my pain au chocolat and hot chocolate to be lacking the amount of chocolate I would usually expect. The service was a let down, as the employee at the till didn’t understand that my girlfriend was trying to redeem her free hot drink, which caused some obvious frustration. We decided to take away too, as it was much too warm inside to enjoy our food. I do appreciate the loyalty card that is offered, but overall, I believe that with some small adjustments I would be willing to revisit this café again.

Hard to find good coffee in the UK sometimes, but this place was great. Hot and strong flat whites, plus really good to support what they are going with people on their training programme.

Coffee was okay but space is organised poorly resulting in a very rushed feeling and not a space I reccomend to enjoy a coffee. Kinda felt rushed and no time to read or think what you wanted...

£3.4 for an espresso but the one I had was tasting smoky and bitter.

I had coffee with a group of 5. The cafe is very small but managed to squeeze in and got a table. Staff was helpful. I did not try food but pastry looked nice and crispy.

Lovely lady at the till accommodated my green tea with honey and lemon which was lovely. However 1 star for the grumpy man who took away the honey! What a misery!!

The coffee is ok, not better than most other places. But the bad thing was a standard slice of carrot cake is £5.90 🤯🤯. 2 coffees, a carrot cake and a muffin over £15. Insane. Cathartt store has coffee just as good without the mad prices.

Coffee in the mood and nothing better. It is specialized and roasted coffee. Cortado 10/10 While you are walking, I advise you to stop for a moment and enjoy the taste of coffee. Delicious and clear coffee taste

Two espresso beans to choose from. Solid work from barrister. No almond milk but soy/oat. Overall good but rather traditional espresso. Not necessarily worth a detour

Visited the branch in Jermyn street Piccadilly. £4 for a coffee and a 50p surcharge for decaffeinated coffee. Ridiculous. Coffee had to be returned as was cold. Very poor.

They care about the environment and food waste. A perfectly made extra-hot hot-chocolate. Right temperature, chocolately, divine. Perfect for the "spring" we are having! The cinnamon bun was delicious. They are lovely, welcoming, superb experience.

I come to the Farringdon Redemption branch daily ever since Serge joined! Always cheers everyone who comes in and makes us laugh, we're excited to see him daily and make great start to our shifts at the hospital!! Could not recommend more

On my last visit, I ordered a coffee to go and the payment machine asked me for a tip. This seems like a new change and it's a no-no from me. This is not the US. You already charge 4 pounds for an espresso. Pay your workers decent wages.

Currently here, just had the best Oat Milk Latte and piece of carrot cake in my life. This is a well above par coffee shop, great vibe. Will be hard to get a nicer coffee and piece of cake than this...

Very nice service and good coffee

I visited the CDY branch of Redemption Rosters yesterday for the first time in a little while. The food and coffee were as good as I remembered, but what really stood out was the service. I was served by a really friendly and helpful barista called Jaden. He welcomed me as soon as I arrived, talked me through the different batch brew options available and even recommended which flavour of muffin I should try. I can't fault his service and he was a credit to his team!

Love a brand that thinks of people at it heart! Using coffee roasted in a prison and generating employment for people beyond the bars, this is so good! I was in the awe of the idea. The coffee was just the cherry on the cake. My mocha was just perfect amazingly dark and chocolatey exactly how I like it. We really wanted to sit and eat there but there was no place! We even waited for 10-15 mins but people were just there. So took a take away! On a rainy day… when London is gloomy and wet go and redeem yourself at redemption!!!

£4.10 for a one shot decaffeinated black coffee !!! That’s an outrageous price for a no milk coffee. Highest price ever charged so far.

Enjoyed a coffee here before getting the train home. Good presentation and nice latte. All their coffee is roasted behind bars too and some profits go to try and stop reoffending.
