Went twice. Food excelĺent. I had steam a kidney pie. Best i have had. Hubby had hunters gammkn. Different. He found delicious. Second time i had cod. Crikey that was good. Hubby had gammon and eggs. Gammon was good first time equally as good 2nd time

Best Roast Dinner iv had in a while. Such great value for money. Will definitely go there again

Another lovely meal we all had 8 plus a dog .4 times here alway a great meal this is the only pub we go to for birthdays .now this time it was the dogs 🐶 so good idea to pop in always book as dogs only in bar lots of parking give it a go you will love the food and the staff are friendly

Lovely cosy pub. The pie and pudding is a great deal for £12 each. The pie selection is good and the cheese and red onion pie was delicious! The sides are big and very fresh. The desserts are amazing with a massive selection on offer. Great friendly pub!

Amazing food, visiting a supplier today and they took us here. Menu and specials were great and the pie was brilliant. Choice of mash, new potatoes or chips with veg, everything so tasty and filling. Deserts were just as good. Thank you!

Lovely atmosphere. With open fire on cold days. Staff are very friendly. Lots of choice on the menu, what you would expect for pub grub. Our food was really good and we couldn't fault it.

Went on Monday 18th March for pie night . Food was lovely , I had the steak & stilton very tasty , chips could have done with being just a tad crispier but that's my taste .Great value as well .

We were a group of 8. All the meals arrived at the same time. They were hot and tasty. Large servings.

11 of us had drinks before we went for an Indian. But we will be going back for food soon. As the food looked great. The owner was very helpful in finding us a table and bringing us the drinks (even though we weren't eating) as 3 of us have mobility problems.

Disappointing visit to The Bell Inn. We have been going the Bell for a few years now and have always enjoyed our visits. However have started to see it slowly decline in recent months since the previous management left. Our visit this week was the last straw and I’m sorry to say we won’t be back. It wasn’t very busy only 3 tables occupied and a handful of customers at the bar. Yet the service was awful. We had to go to the bar ourselves to order our drinks. Our food was just OK. No one checked to see if everything was alright. We asked for the bill several times, then no one came to take our payment! In the end we went up to the bar with our payment and left. The manager was sitting at the bar on a laptop. He left us standing there waiting for the barman to take our payment and didn’t even acknowledge us! Absolutely awful experience. Such a pity. We were always recommending the Bell to others. We won’t bother now!

Went here to see a band playing. (Vertigo Park , excellent band ) Parking is a little limited in the carpark.But there is another carpark next the pub one & on street parking too. The pub itself is decorated like a village pub, not some up market wine bar/bistro etc. They have a great selection of drinks, catering for pretty much all tastes. Prices were pretty standard for the area. The staff were smartly dressed, polite, attentive & efficient in their work. It was nice and clean, no sticky carpets in this pub!! The toilets were spotless!! Even at 11pm they were still clean, didn't smell !! I can't comment on the food as I didn't eat there, but having spoken to a couple of the regulars, they all said the food was excellent 5 good value for money. Definitely worth a visit 😄

Couldn't be seated in the dining area as one of our party had a dog with them .We were seated in the bar area which was not a problem at first ,but as the evening drew on the patrons of the bar became increasingly vociferous and despite a sign stating " No profanity please in this area " bad language became the norm . The staff were helpful and welcoming . The ladies had a salmon dish and a hunters chicken which were cooked just right and reasonably priced .4 of us had sirloin steak with plenty of vegetables and chips at £17.95 ,sadly these steaks were somewhat chewy ,and a couple of the platters and plates had rather obvious chipped edges. We didn't complain as there were ladies with us and felt intimidated by the customers who were "merry ". I will point out that we have used The Bell on other occasions without finding fault ,but not under the present management .

Great pub, nice staff and lovely locals. Allow dogs in, but not the whole area.

Friendly landlord and staff. Great music playlist as well. Food is always consistently good. The garden is a big draw in the summer months.

Very enjoyable evening with friends at this lovely old pub. We tucked into the homemade steak and ale pie which was delicious. Staff were attentive and helpful. There was a medical emergency while we were there which was handled effectively and with care and compassion by the landlord and landlady. First time here and I was not disappointed.

We had a lovely meal the staff were very nice and helpful. There was a medical incident in the pub whilst we were there and the staff dealt with this in a very profession way. A lovely village pub with lovely staff.

Tried a new place for us and went for a roast lamb, with all the trimmings including an extra dish of homemade cauliflower cheese. Didn't take pictures as was too busy eating it. Such an amazing village pub. Spacious and clean. Helpful and friendly staff, nothing to much trouble. The food tasted amazing and there was plenty of it. The price was great for what we got. It's not worth doing it yourself for the price. We were thoroughly impressed and look forward to booking up again for a try of more of the delicious menu. The pub is just perfect for us and our needs and has beautiful surroundings and history in the Minster village. Higrhly recommended.

Went here for a Saturday evening early dinner with the family as we were staying locally. Clearly a popular place locally and the Saturday steak night was clearly a big attraction! We decided to order from the regular menu instead but the food was still amazing, loads of steak in the steak pie, lasagne bubbling with cheese and great meals for the children, loads of really nicely cooked vegetables which are often missing at a pub dinner too! Just about managed to stuff in one of their amazing (yet reasonably priced) puddings too! Service was super great too, really attentive without being too much. Price for the quality of the food and service was very good too. Would really recommend!

We are so lucky to have a local traditional pub with a great team of people and you can see that Claudia & Brett know how to run it. There is a good selection of drinks, and if you like beer the Timothy Taylor is always spot on. The waiters and waitresses are always courteous and helpful. The restaurant produces hearty home cooked fresh food. We look forward to having our Sunday dinners here. They have a great beer garden that is dog friendly and even make sure the dog has water and a few dog biscuits, spot on!

A proper country pub. Thank you for existing. Wooden beams, horse brasses, open fire, guest ales, cozy atmosphere and no blaring music. A great place to visit and catch up with friends. I didn't eat but the menu looked great. Recommend this Minster pub 100%

I am fed up going to places lately after checking their own website to check their prices and then find when we all arrived they have gone up considerably. All the owner said was he couldn't change the website! When I asked him what he was prepared to do about it, he just said nothing, that was the new prices, and asked us were we staying or leaving. Not the customer service I was expecting

Great evening at the bell. 5 of us visited on a Monday evening for pie night and did not dissapoint. All the options you could want and dessert also amazing. All reasonably priced and if you are staying in the area don't miss out I will definitely be coming back

Don’t pass by this place, the food is amazing, best liver and bacon we have ever had and we have eat countrywide, friendly and accommodating staff, great priced menu, we will be back. 5 stars well deserved.

Nice pub for Saturday lunch at 2pm. Not overcrowded table available on arrival. Wife's ploughman's was huge, fantastic value. Steak baguette with chips and salad also very good.

Had Hunters chicken, chips & salad, it was well cooked, well presented and a great price at £13.45 I'd highly recommend this pub for food and drink. I'll be coming again 😁👍 I tipped the chips on the plate, I was a bit eager to tuck in😉🤣

Had to go to Minster for Covid jab and had found this on an internet search. Was not disappointed, food was well priced, beautifully cooked and well presented. Owners and staff were very friendly and welcoming and managed a large difficult group, who were quite rude, professionally and politely. Will definitely be back.

Amazing pub/restaurant, food was excellent We were on holiday for a few days and came across this pub through an internet search. Was warmly welcomed and we happened to arrive on pie and pudding night, which was great for us. Food was plentiful and piping hot. Pudding was amazing and I was so disappointed that I couldn’t finish it! Staff very attentive checking with us that the food was ok and if we needed anything else to eat or more to drink. Very reasonably priced and value for money. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend a visit.

Lovely pub,friendly staff. First visit,will go again. Food very nice. Only tiny negative was nobody came and asked if we needed any more drinks.

The new owners have a challenge on their hands to turn this pub around, had a quick drink and left.i will return when its been refurbished.

This fine establishment is a proper traditional country village pub with a great selection of beers, a great varied menu with daily specials and lovely friendly staff. I plumped for the lambs liver with mash and veg selection in a rich gravy, the portion size was huge and I could just manage about 1/2 of it. My partner had an enormous chicken breast stuffed with spinach and mozzarella in a delicious sauce with fries and salad, she could only manage 1/2 as well. They kindly wrapped the remainder which we had the next day. Love this place and will definitely return time and time again. Thoroughly recommend.

My father wanted this coffee that he had a month ago when they had dinner there, he couldn't remember what it was. The staff made an effort to get him this coffee (similar). That was top notch for him, thank you.

What an amazing pub, we visited while staying at a local caravan park. The food was amazing and service was brilliant, a young girl served us but was so knowledgeable about the menu and was so good at helping us decide. It was full of locals and had a great atmosphere, the banoffee pie was a must!

Skate wing for lunch,perfectly served, definitely will be retuning. Our dog was looked after also.

So sorry to say and in the passed have had great food and service. But tonight it was poor waited an hour and 15 minutes before leaving. No explanation, people coming after us and getting their food before us. We never got our food we left and had to make do with a Macdonald's for my sons birthday. Always been great in the passed but tonight it was poor. We asked the staff why is there a delay. The staff would than walk into the kitchen, come out and just go to another table, it was like we were invisible.

Waited over a hour and a half for food and It never came out

Came here as a group of 10 to celebrate my partners birthday. The service was amazing and the owner and waitress couldn't do enough for us. A nice cosy, friendly pub. We all came for a meal over Christmas and were all treated just as well and the food was cooked perfectly. Lovely portion sizes and the chef came to introduce himself too. Such lovely people. Thank you for being so accommodating and looking after us all
