Nice little pub with good music and good selection of lager

We went for an evening meal. It was quite disappointing. My wife's chicken skewers had hard overcooked lumps in it. I had the steak and ale pie. The pastry was undercooked, less said about the mash the better the only vegetable being an extravagant measure of peas. To cap it the juke box was put with some very loud shouting music with some choice language. We paid up and left.

Our roast was so nice really enjoyed it lovely service staff would recommend to anyone

Made very welcome, we also took our dog in. We had a bar lunch,chicken skewers and chilli jacket potatoe,very good value,the Spitfire bitter perfect. Have booked to try the Sunday Lunch.

Lovely music. Shame about the alcohol price. Very expensive thought we were in London. Poor selection of Cask Ales, only Bishop Finger available. Seemed a bit flat. Didn't enjoy it. Tried some bottled beers which were very expensive.

Sunday Roast highly recommended - staff friendly and welcoming. Food quality, portion sizes and prices very good.

It's better to come before the band starts at 9pm as the seating would be taken and standing would be the only option. I found some group of people who sat next to me this evening very pleasant, and this made me feel gratified.

A really welcoming, good value local pub. Also run great events (music and quizzes) as well as having board games and a pool table for customers.

We had an excellent Sunday roast. The meat was plentiful & the quantity & variety of vegetables was extremely good. The yorkshire puds were fresh & crispy & the jug of extra gravy was very welcome. Service was prompt & friendly.

Slightly biased as the pub has plenty of Spurs fans but others are welcome to join the humour at the bar. Food and beers are great and recommended for any evening to sit outside in the sun

Here they serve delicious beavertown neck oil sessions ipa on tap. Enjoying the ipa a great live band is playing.

Very good excellent like all ways

Served promptly. Not a huge selection of beers but I enjoyed my Singha. It was a quiet time of the day but I felt comfortable and enjoyed the pleasant interior. I will go back again.

Being new to the area , ,came looking for a decent roast and we certainly found it The ,best roast ever , and friendly ,smiling service , thank you. We will be back .

First visit to this pub, situated between Harbour Street and York Street in Ramsgate. Small cosy bar with friendly staff. Not the sort of place you can park nearby, but one of the more comfortable pubs to relax in after a visit to town. Beer garden and even a petanque, (not sure of the spelling!) Court!. Well behaved dogs seemed welcome, but not the best access for those with issues, but it is an old pub with limited external options. We'll worth a visit for a drink or bite to eat.

It's difficult for pubs when there are few customers and they don't really want to wind up the kitchen. Still the chef prepared a nice fish and chip meal.

Family, dog friendly pub. Food was fantastic, washed down with a local brew. Really nice original English pub

Excelent place, loved every second of my visit and was felt so welcome by the locals and the staff. Definitely will be visiting again if I work down here in the future! I loved all the different games and puzzles scattered around the pub, also a great dartboard set up too ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Popped in for a quick pint,was happily waiting to be served as two other people waiting. Then someone who was already in the pub drinking went to the bar and Landlady got up and Served Him before me,still saved my money as I'll Never drink in there again. This was Today,it was around 16:30/45,you and your partner were sat in the corner,you chatted to the person in front of me

We always enjoy the live music and the drinks are reasonably priced. Good atmosphere too!

1st visit in about 12 years, staff friendly and professional.

We visited again yesterday lunchtime and we were given a very friendly welcome. The pub is a bit out of the way but it is really nice with a good selection of drinks. We were told that later on in the year that they do food at certain times.

Went in for the Sunday carvery all ok if you're a vegan, the veg was great, the meat was hard to find, and when found half was fat, it was cut that thin, it only had one side. Not one for the meat lovers

Friendly staff. Food quality not the best, mixed frozen veg and the rest of the meal could.easily be from Iceland savers frozen range. Defo ping cooking! Decor very tired needs a refit. Only 3stars because the staff saved it from a 2!

Lovely friendly pub which we always use before going to a few local restaurants we like. The garden is lovely, the roasts are pretty good and Jamie the landlord is a lovely happy jolly character. His wife Sam is lovely too. Never really seen any horrible people there. Good live music too

Great bands and live music on the weekends! Staff are great, and has a good atmosphere! Drinks prices are reasonable, and has a great pool table and dart board area.

Had a really good couple of hours in here on Saturday 31,7,21 ,the band were brilliant, the crowd were brilliant, the owners were a fantastic couple, we will definitely be back the next time I'm out on the town in Ramsgate

i am a carer to my blind uncle the landlord said i didnt have a mask on if he gave me 20 seconds i would of found my mask instead giving me a mouth full abouse and barred me when he was standing at my table with out a mask on abusing me and my uncle 1000% would not recomend to disabled or carers the abuse you would get from the landlord sometimes people for get how hard it is to look after someone full time and care about yourself

Visited at lunchtime on two occasions typical traditional pub very welcoming great service look forward to being able to sit inside 😀 however lovely seating available in small pretty courtyard there's also a large gazebo covering if needed. Loos are second to none iv used recently very clean and homely. Nice to enjoy a less trendy setting !!! as seems to be the the way the harbour front is going blah humbug. I would recommend visit during the less busy lunch time .I'm so pleased this lovely pub has survived covid long may it continue 😀 Thank Horse and Groom brilliant pricing beer and larger top notch xxxxx

Wonderful food yesterday. Friday May 7th. Jerk chicken which was totally yummy and had a lovely kick to it. Also Portuguese pork which tasted quite authentic. Both in fresh subs. Thank you Horse and Groom. Your menu is superb. All washed down with Spitfire Lager. 😋

I would say personally myself it is better than the Goose because people are nice to you it's better than the harbour Bar
