This pub is another fine example of landlords and landladies really taking a pride in their business... The place was spotless from top to bottom, with various community incentives bringing people together.. On Wednesdays all day free pool table and also free Juke box On Fridays a good old fashion meat raffle Steven and Scarlet really have this pub looking it's best... A new disability / walk ramp leads into the garden they are refurbishing ready for the summer The windmill is Ideally situated on the main road of a bustling housing area, with the multiple special buy food offers available this is a great Hub to meet friends or bring the family. This is a comfortable / clean pub serving top Food and Drink, with Live sports, 2 dart boards and a pool table what more could you want or need from your local. This place has the whole package. 😎

Fantastic sports pub with a good choice of food on the menu and top-notch staff. The atmosphere is lively, the burgers are delicious, and the service is excellent. One of my definite go-to pubs!

Went here today, food was absolutely terrible. Staff were really lovely. Didn't have the heart to tell then how awful the food was when asked if everything was okay. Great little garden with play area, shame about other people not controlling their dogs when you're trying to eat your food. Dogs running around our table, under our feet begging for scraps.

The windmill is a very nice pub and kid friendly. Very underated and the hosts are very friendly plus it's in walking 🚶‍♂️ distance if you want a nice relaxing place to go this is a good one.

Nice staff, but just a bit too noisy for me ,being an oldie. A mans pub with sport on screens and snooker tables.

Nowhere to sit down and have a conversation,lots of space but not much in the way of seating.Not a comfortable atmosphere.

Staff lovely food very tasty and good portion

This pub was my local 10yrs ago,n when I walked in the transformation was incredible, I went to meet an friend,it was fresh,nice atmosphere and felt really comfy,They serve food in here now we didn't eat,but it looked nice,I was really impressed..

Just a great place for a pint. I cant comment on the food as ive not had any but if going by the general vibe and attitude of the staff then i can only assume the qaulity of the food would reflect that. Well worth visiting over and over again

Pleasant place, but shortage of parking space

First time to a pub in over a year and it was a really friendly experience. Prices better than expected and food was fresh and well presented.

Twice we have booked and turned up to find a sign saying kitchen closed. Fed up with disappointment. No phone calls no notices on social media. We give up with this place

Warm but had run out of most beers and offered no deals in compensation, ie reduce bottle beer price

Very quiet pub twice on our visit, always TVs on with sports and ok feel for newington estate, staff members ok young and helpful, drinks prices average for area, food looks ok .

Pool table & small kids ,throwing cues on floor & using as batons at 20.00 hrs.no no.

Ok for a quick drink while passing, it didn't have a very nice atmosphere and felt like I was intruding on a private party. Clean and tidy with a good pint.

I had a chicken burger and chips. Service for drinks was OK.. Only thing no serviettes. Other wise my experience there was OK.

Friendly staff and great atmosphere. Only reason I gave it ****, is that they didn't have any real ale.

I love this pub. Since its makeover three years ago, this has become our go-to local. I like the fact that it has a nice large garden for children to play around in, with no access to the main road. There is a good selection of hot and cold drinks as well as food available every day of the week. If you’re looking for a good meal deal, their £5 Monday’s is a good one if you want to treat the family (doesn’t include children’s meals that are cheap at £3.99-£4.99). They have a good selection of sports channels if you’re looking to watch your football or the rugby at the weekend. There are often events on if you’re looking for a night out without having to trek far. I’ve liked it so much here, it’s been my chosen venue for my partners 40th a few years back, a wake, my daughter’s birthday and a fundraiser.

Never been here before. Notice 5star for food and hygiene so a good start. Bar staff welcoming. Big place, very loud. Not sure but think a children's party out bk, so lots of kids in and out. All TVs on. Music put on over the TV's so loud you couldn't hear yourselves speaking. Had to ask them to turn it down. Ordered food. Yes cheap, yes was ok, not great, not a long wait. Little confused when asked if we wanted cutlery by the waitress. Main concern was 2 little girls came in from garden, bout 8yrs old maybe. Goes up to the bar few minutes later both walked bk with a bottle of cider and a empty glass and a coke the other with a pint. 1. Where are the parents. 2. Since when is it allowed to give young children alcohol over the bar. Couldn't believe my eyes. Shame I wasn't a secret shopper on this day.

Decently priced meals and drinks in a neatly kept establishment. Great place to go watch the game or play snooker and darts.

Food is OK pub food. Staff are nice. Prices reasonable. But as a family friendly pub, multiple times there is glass or dog mess on the garden which leaves parents on edge constantly. Food plates left out with seagulls sweeping in scaring customers. And glasses uncollected even on a Saturday when staffing should be at its peak. If they want to maintain the 'family friendly' vide. I suggest the garden maintenance becomes a bigger priority.

Decided to eat here and wasn't expecting much and rightly so to not expect much. Food was terrible, had to wait 15 minutes to be served in an empty pub why they cleaned and when it came it looked nice until I tried the food. An hour later after eating plates are still sitting on my table. Lemonade tasted horrible

Booked tables at the windmill for a family birthday and we all had a great time. Good atmosphere with friendly staff giving excellent customer service! The food was very good,we were all very happy with our meal...not one complaint (And my family like a moan!). I highly recommend The Windmill.

My husband went for fish and chipsooked brill I went for the light lunch of 1/2 butterlyed chicken breast roast pots peas gravey well I would not steal if serving it it was a very small 2 mouth full of chicken that had been microwaved to death aunt Bessie style roast her annemic hard peas so we ordered chocolate sponge with custard sponge lovely well it is pre cooked just need to warm it but o e spoon of custard do very dry will not have that again

Tried this pub as it was recommended by a family member, who told me that the pub offered good value for money food and that the food was excellent. The staff are also very friendly and Megan who served me behind the bar was exceptional very pleasant. I would recommend anyone to try this local pub if in the area and to try it especially on a Monday as all the items on the menu are £5.

Great pub that serves food and a good range of drinks. Neil, the new manager, is putting on a range of great entertainment suitable for the whole family. Staff and locals are all friendly and there’s always a good atmosphere. There’s a nice pub garden in the summer with a play area for children. It’s also a great place to have a party, we recently had a family party there which went really smoothly and was a great night. Would highly recommend a visit there!

Taken my family to The Windmill a few times now, food is excellent and a decent selection of beers with very friendly staff (Ashley served us on this visit). Can’t recommend this bar highly enough

Went for a celebratory family meal. Not many people in the restaurant and told half hour wait which was fine. Hour later and no food - mentioned to the lady behind the bar to be told "well its only me and two in the kitchen" and told we have to wait another 15 minutes. Would much rather honesty! Almost feel like because we arent regulars that our food was second priority as someone who ordered after us got their food first. Having worked in the food industry before, communication is key and on a busy day with offers you make sure that you have enough staff on! The poor girl that was working was run off her feet trying to keep the place tidy and get food out on time

Awful awful service ordered at 7 was told half an hour waited till 8 and no food. Questioned staff and was basiclly told tough it just me and two chefs. Not the servers fault and they did take 2 meals off the bill but was needs more staff to deal with busy promotions Won't be returning

Very nice place where you can have a quiet beer and a chat

Just a great place to pop in for a midweek meal with the family. Popped in with my children and stepfather and were made very welcome- there were children’s toys available and everything was clean and fresh. The food was lovely again - I wasn’t too hungry so just had some sweet potato fries which were fine but my daughters fish was unbelievable and once again she couldn’t eat it all so we got to dig in on some! My other daughter loved her spaghetti bolognese and it was all so reasonable - £3.50 ish for a kids meal and £1.50 for a desert. Prosecco by the glass which is always a plus! After speaking to the new owner I found out They have live music every weekend too and loads of midweek stuff, darts, poker etc. I’m looking forward to what they have planned for the place in the summer.

Popped in with friends for a beer and possibly food. No cask ales, just Doombar, the rest was lager and cider. Food typically everything with chips from the freezer, ok sometimes but I was not drunk so decided not to eat. Atmosphere decidedly naff, drunk rambling on in middle of bar, football on small screens, pretty empty even for a Monday night. Nothing really positive for me. Makes Wetherspoons in Ramsgate look like a palace where the food is better, drinks more varied, and best of all cheaper.

Can only get better. No card taken. Cash only Mix up with order No one came round to check meals were ok .

Took my 2 kids aged 13 and 14 for lunch all had fish. Chips peas and pudding for about 5.no each of the deals page only live nearby so handy also car parking always been available garden to sit bouncy castle for little ones staff friendly also you can reserve a table if u would prefer good all round for anyone really

We decided to go out for a nice family meal together and I ordered the nachos. When they came out they were plain tortilla chips with the smallest amount of stone cold rubbery cheese and topped with loads of fajita salsa. First of all fajita salsa and nacho salsa are completely different and should be kept in there on specialties. But the cheese was freezing cold and there was hardly any of it. When I wiped the ‘salsa’ off with a tissue I lifted the cheese nachos separate from the rest and oh my the amount of plain dry chips. So I asked kindly if I could maybe have some more cheese so it wasn’t so dry and the chef replied ‘can’t do that. If you want you can pay for a new batch.’ So I left them on the counter and walked off . Long story short DO NOT get them disgusting nachos.
