Friends Fish & Chips in Thanet

The owner is so rude there was a homeless person in there asking for the left overs and he laughed at her and said there was none which in fact there was loads of food left over he should be ashamed of he's self there was no need for him to laugh at her

Would advise not using the brown cardboard boxes as the chips all taste & smell of the cardboard unfortunately when delivered.Fish is lovely and other chips that wasn’t in the brown card boxes all lovely . Just need a packaging change for the kids meals so they taste better .

Been here quite a few times whilst I’ve been staying in Ramsgate and they’ve been my go-to fish and chips shop. Good quality fish and generous portion sizes. Plus,the people are lovely✨

Just ordered Cod and Chips both cooked to perfection generous portions and still hot when delivered will most definitely be ordering again

Not great - chips were re-heated and chewy - cod was greasy and went in the bin!

Fantastic! Good portions, the grilled Haddock was amazing, chips were great, lovely spam fritter, it was all hot and delivered quickly. What more can you ask for. Very happy thanks B-)

As always,Friends Fish and Chips always fresh and cooked especially for you. I do not think it can be beaten,for freshly cooked food that is a taist experience,once tried you will not go anywhere else. It's always a nice clean shop with very friendly staff,plus they have started doing battered Mars bar's plus lot's more chocolates to choose from. Enjoy.Friends fish and chips cannot get any better,because it is the best in Ramsgate.

Lovely food, thoroughly recommend. My only gripe, I wish I could order smaller portions. Way too many chips for me, and the fish was huge, I would have liked to be able to order a medium fish and small chips

I only ordered to portions of chips which were meant to be large they will not large portions it cost me 13 pounds all together with three pound 50 delivery charge I won't be ordering from you again

The fish was as good as usual (perfectly cooked) will never go anywhere else.

Curry sauce was cold. My fish have bones in it lots of bones and so did the kids. Fish and chip have lots of fish bones my son nearly choked, never going there again

This is one of the finest fish and chips shops in the area. The fish is not just large. It is huge! Very large portions. Fish and chips are always very tasty. Chicken Burger is also very good. The staff are very friendly, and the prices are reasonable. That's why we have been using this chippie for more than 2 years. Must try!!

As directed by the request of Friends I asked for the skin to be removed off both pieces of haddock. It wasn’t.

this was delivered 5 mins after time posted not 1925 but 1930 which was within the estimated time. i was about to phone when he finally knock on door with no sorry or explanation

Ordered a few items which were fine but chicken burger not cooked properly, luckily only took 1 small bite and noticed the texture and taste was a bit off. Can’t rate restaurant as it was delivered so ignore my rating

Have ordered from friends many times, decent size pieces of fish and always really tasty. Only one negative was part of my order was missing this time. Unable to get through on phone.

In the past the food was very good, since taking on "just eat" and "deliveroo" the quality has deteriorate, don't go there much any more.

Have driver on cctv arriving then going again without leaving food, Tried to phone shop but it shut at 2pm .. went to shop when it reopened to be laughed at and told this driver does it all the time.. no response from just eat my next step will be to contact PayPal!!!

Delivered cold and soggy to wrong address the people who got my food brought it over. I called restaurant and the woman said it wasn’t their problem and hung up. So much for customer service. I do not recommend them or just eat as delivery drivers are just as useless.

Ordered savaloy - it was lukewarm and I think uncooked. The boxes of chips were overpriced and out of the two boxes one was half full. The delivery charge is high, so overall I was not satisfied with the food and feel it was overpriced. I would not order from the restaurant again.

Chips beautiful savaloys cold pies you couldn’t cut the top it was to hard I asked for peters and got pukka pies

1st time we used friends. My partner is so picky but he raved about his chips, pie and battered sausage. I had kids fish and chips more like a small/medium bloody lovely even enough fish left for my cats. Would definitely go there again.

Normally really love this restaurant order all the time but tonight the food wasn’t a very good standard all the food was squashed and might not be the restaurant might of been the delivery but wasn’t very good

This was a lovely meal. My son had plaice and I had whitebait, it was delicious. The portion sizes were just right and we will definitely order from them again.

Order dinner chose this chip shop because of reviews. Kids meal non existent (used to come in a box with a drink and chips received a fish cake on its own) chips missing so two of us have no dinner 👌🏻 won’t be returning again

2 items missing and 1 item changed for something we couldn't eat. Phoned the restaurant who accused us of lying and then blamed the driver (who is notorious at stealing out of orders!). When asked about the item that had been changed was told there was nothing that could be done, it was probably her fault and it was a real don't care less attitude. Will never use them again, which is a shame because the food we got that we could eat was nice food.

Been using this chippie for last 2 years. They are always very fresh and the food is faultless. Prices are getting very expensive now which I understand is not much to do with the establishment itself but it just means I'll be visiting much less unfortunately.
