Went with friends on a "fish Friday" Although busy , food was served relatively quickly by staff who smiled. The special fish and chips was excellent! Good size portion and well cooked. Our partners meals- veal and chicken salad were also excellent and good value for money. All together a very enjoyable dining experience

We arrived for an overnight stay and found it was steak night on Thursdays. Although we had not booked, a table was found and we had a lovely meal. Staff were friendly and helpful. The pub was busy and coped well. Beer was hand pulled and a good range of wine. A lovely experience.

We were a group of 13 who had lunch at The Bell on Wednesday. We had a pre booked menu. The booking was dealt with efficiently and all the food was served hot at the same time to everyone. The staff were very friendly and professional. We received jugs of iced water as soon as we sat down. As we arrived in 'dribs and drabs' the kitchen staff were very patient, waiting for the stragglers. The food was very good with generous portions. The salad was good quality with no resorting to iceberg lettuce. Pasta cooked al dente and with a flavoursome homemade sauce. Two of us had the chef's pies and enjoyed them with the fresh accompanying vegetables. Large proportion had the fishcakes which were apparently tasty and substantial. The staff appeared to us to be a harmonious team with high standards. It is also an exceptionally clean pub. I am sorry if others perceptions are different.

The food was lovely, we wanted a sandwich or ploughmans but were told that menu was only for outside, it was a bit windy so we wanted to sit inside and were only offered the menu with larger meals. The staff behind the bar weren't very helpful. I would have given you 5 stars if it wasn't for being dissapointed, but again the food was lovely.

We walked from a campsite in Cambridge to the Bell for drinks and Sunday lunch. We had contacted the pub before hand to book a table but were told “fully booked” and no other options. When we got there we were told we could order and eat food outside which was fine but the weather went cold so we went inside to the bar and found a table free. We all had the roast beef or pork and it arrived promptly. Well, what can I say, it was probably the best pub meal I have ever had, cooked to perfection and super tasty. I would book early and definitely go again.

We had a nice meal and drinks at the Bell tonight, but our experience was ruined when the front of house gentleman asked us to vacate our table within 5 minutes immediately after we had finished our meals. He suggested moving down to the bar area which was rather busy. There were at least 5 vacant tables in the Resturant..

We visited this place on the off chance that a table would be free at lunchtime and were not disappointed. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the food was excellent, and a very reasonable price too. Service was a bit slow but this could be due to large number of customers coming at one time. Good menu choices and excellent desserts ....apple crumble was delicious !! All in all a great place, nice restaurant, and a great setting....large car parking area would highly recommend

Visited on a Saturday evening, due to knowing the other local pub would be packed with rugby fans. Very pleased to find this was much more of a restaurant than a pub, with a very nice seating area, although it was very quiet when we visited. Great menu with lots of options, and some excellent sounding specials as well. Our party of seven all had different dishes and all were impressed and seriously enjoyed them. Too full for pudding, but would definitely return. Slightly on the pricier end, but not extravagant.

We walked in to an empty restaurant and asked if the waiter if they had room for 11 of us. The waiter was not impressed, maybe we should have booked? But there was no one there, he huffed and puffed about it, but did put 2 tables together for us. He was very rude and it seemed like he didn't want our custom. We wanted about 6/7 kids meals and asked for the lunch menu for the adults, we were told they no longer did baguettes, the only choice was the main menu. As we were not that hungry we asked if we could just have some sides of chips ect. We were told if were ordering chips we had to eat them in the bar, which is tiny. So we decided to leave and go elsewhere. The whole experience was horrible, I told the bar lady that the waiter was very rude and she informed me he was the manager!!! Such a shame as this is a lovely pub in a lovely location, I am hoping the manager was just having a bad day! But his customer service skills were appalling.

If anybody local is looking for somewhere to get their leather shoes resold look no further than the The Bell Inn Frampton on Severn. My braised beef could not have been tougher and would be perfect for such a repair. It was also served a totally impractical deep sided bowl which made the cutting of this inedible leatherette impossible. On the plus side the otter real ale was very good.

We visited the first time when my son surprised us with a birthday meal back in May of this year. Since then I visited again with a friend in September and with another couple in December. Every time we have gone we have booked in advance, been met with a friendly greeting, been more than happy with the menu selection and found the food tasty and good value for money. Twice we have booked on a Thursday night which is steak night and found our steaks cooked to perfection. It does get fairly busy on this midweek evening. On one occasion I ordered the banoffee pie as a dessert and it came in a china cup. I was a little surprised and felt the portion was a little small HOWEVER It’s the best I’ve ever tasted. We are scheduled to go back again next week with another couple who are friends of ours. Would thoroughly recommend

We decided to have a mid week break for two nights at THE BELL INN FRAMPTON. GLOUCESTER. A much loved place we visit regularly especially in summer ! but only for a day out. After the loss of our beloved 12 yr old dog, we were feeling very down so we decided to have this break. OHHHH DEAR ! Very disappointed. On arriving there was no real greeting. We were too early to check in, we knew that so we were going to have some lunch. However, a member of staff abruptly told us we were too early so to go away and come back later ! We didn’t want to go away ! We ordered drinks and asked for the menu . This tatty dirty A4 paper menu was brought over . I ordered a large Gin and Tonic. My husband a beer. At no time did we feel welcome. Lunch time food was ok but nothing special. At 2.45 they said we could check in . My husband struggled with our cases and bags. I am disabled no mention of “ can we help you “ . Thanks to a chap having he’s lunch he took our bags and helped us. ( what a lovely caring man. ) First impression of the room was ok however …. A bit basic to be honest. I could rant and rant, but I will Finnish by saying, they ran out of Gordon’s Gin and the bar lady mixed two different ones ?! Food was not very special. Front of house staff rude and unprofessional in my view. The cleaner was the only one who helped us sort the Wi-Fi out. We won’t be staying again and we won’t be recommending. VERY POOR. VERY SAD 😥 For the price you pay it’s NOT worth the money…at all.👎👎👎

Not up to usual high standard. Asked for a starter of scallops...oh dear none left. ( Why were they still on the board?). I asked for medium steak but the rump (16oz) came rare...the problem was it looked more like a pork loin shape and hence was difficult to cook. I sent it back asking for it to be cut in half laterally and recooked, the result was good as were the fresh batch of chips. As we left I noticed the man on the adjacent table also sent his back ...didn't the chef realise?? Finally the bill arrived £2.50 for 'Fever tree' tonic..but it wasn't fever tree it was 'Britvic' ..funny I thought 'Fever tree' was THE premium brand.

I have been with a group of friends for dinner this evening with a table booked at 6.45pm. When we arrived I was told it would be an hour wait on food, then by the other member of staff I was told it wouldn’t be as we were in the restaurant. We ordered our main courses and waited an hour and 25 minutes for it to arrive after asking 3 times how long it would be. We hoped the food would be worth the wait. I had along with one of my friends then bacon and Brie salad, £15 for 3 pieces of bacon with Brie melted on it on a bed of lettuce, it had 2 pieces of cucumber and 2 slices of tomato, no croutons as the menu said. For £15 this was not worth the price at all. I had been told how good the food was by family a couple of weeks ago so I had high hopes but as I ordered the exact same meal as they did it is safe to say we won’t be returning and neither will my friends or family. A real shame as we are all local and visit Frampton quite often. Very disappointed with the service and value for money.

Fabulous suite with a kitchen and lounge area, used Tesco Clubcard vouchers, so only paid £21 for the night! They don’t do breakfasts, but in our suite there is a fridge, an oven, a toaster and a microwave if you want to bring your own, or just go to the local garden centre cafe, or on the M5. We dined here last night for a friends birthday and were not disappointed! We hadn’t booked as it was a little unplanned but this wasn’t as issue. We shared some starters which were all lovely, especially the scallops from the specials board! The steaks were cooked perfectly and the best we’d had for a long time. I had the lamb rump steaks, honestly the BEST minted gravy. We’ve eaten out a few time’s since lockdown lifted and we all agreed this was the best meal we’ve had so far! It’s obviously prepared by a talented chef, everything is full of flavour. Very pleased with the social distancing measures. There’s a one way system through the pub and full table service is offered in the restaurant. Multiple hand sanitiser facilities and a general clean and organised feeling. We will be back!

When for a meal with the family, big mistake ,not only is the social distancing very poor, but also not passing on vat reduction. The food is way over priced,. The outside space Is just full of piss heads.

Headed to the Bell as it seemed a good place to sit outside as there are loads of well spaced outside tables. Good but slow queuing system somewhat impaired by people pushing past you in a narrow corridor to the serving point. No control of the number in the toilets. The two queues need separating Gammon steak of my friend was tough. The dog enjoyed half of it

Really remarkable how many customers they serve on a Sunday. Our pork was very good indeed and a very interesting selection of vegetables. Very fine puddings to! It is a good good local pub but with excellent dining complete with fresh flowers on the table.

We searched for a venue for 20 family members to meet for lunch. It had to be child / dog friendly and equidistant for our scattered family. The Bell Inn was perfect. It is situated beside a huge green and the outside seating was perfect for lunch. We initially booked a table in the restaurant but the weather was glorious so favoured an outdoors setting. The children were safe and had the freedom to play. We enjoyed the food and the staff were helpful and friendly. It was a bonus to see a wedding party and an open carriage - a lovely sight. One part of our family were over from Vietnam and another from the Philippines so a very special occasion.

Delicious prawn and tuna salad which was a substantial lunch plate. The cheese ploughman's was also very good, especially the chutney. Very good local beers. The team behind the bar were efficient and very friendly. Ample parking behind the pub which is 5 mins walk from the canal if you fancy a walk before or after lunch!

My family and I had a lovely meal at The Bell last Saturday but were left disappointed when the staff all seemed to disappear after our main course had been cleared. Nobody returned to ask if we wanted dessert or coffee and we felt as if we were no longer welcome so left

A friend recommended The Bell for its good rump steak but I was very disappointed. Lots of gristle and what was left was pretty chewy. The waitress said she would tell the chef, who would tell the butcher, which is good, but didn't make my lunch any better!

Very warm day and we drove out early evening to Frampton. The Bell is situated on what is supposed to be the largest village green in England.

Old fashioned family pub - friendly staff. Lovely setting on the green. Ample parking. Decor could be updated & made more cosy for diners, as mostly wooden chairs - bit sparse. Chips were chunky but poss microwaved? Room for improvement. Very popular pub.

Birthday lunch for four on a Friday. We took advantage of the £20 steak and fish deals for two (i.e. £10 mains per person). The steaks were excellent and the fish were huge! Service was good and the staff were kind enough to include a candle and a 'Happy Birthday' cake topper with a our friend's sweet. The Bell are part of the Quality Inns chain and in our view the best restaurant in the group. Frampton on Severn is well worth a visit it looks superb especially in the sunshine!

I stumbled across The Edgemoor Inn whilst driving past and arrived with no expectations. From the moment that I walked through the door I was made to feel welcome. My table had magnificent views across the valley. There was a selection of drinks to suit most tastes: I thoroughly enjoyed a well kept pint of bitter from the local Uley brewery. The food was freshly prepared with care and attention to detail. Both starter and main were exceptionally good. The menu has a good selection of meat, fish, and vegetarian dishes. For me this has been the discovery of an unexpected gem. I will be back. Kevin

We have just come back from a 2 night stay at the Amberley Inn. What a lovely stay we had we were greeted and looked after by Skye as we arrived, and on the first night in the bar and restaurant, all other staff were equally attentive. Delicious 3 course meal with wine, Perfect breakfast in the morning served by Jennifer who looked after a busy breakfast room wonderfully, nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff this day too. We went to a wedding on the second night. But had another great breakfast on our last day. Rooms were lovely and clean, staff all amazing I just only took 2 names sorry to everyone else. Food was just amazing too. Can’t wait to return thank you amberley inn!
