Fine. Old building. Nothing special but bedding clean so fine for a night. Creaky uneven floors but it's an old building that has not been done up. No issues.

Great little pub in a great location for the town centre, the town hall, the theatre. They do a nice selection of ales and a really nice pint of Guinness. It's an old style pub where you can sit and enjoy a drink.

Booked The Bell Inn for a last minute weekend break and we were very pleased, the room was lovely, with a huge bathroom with bath and separate shower, room was clean and comfortable, with smart tv and tea and coffee making facilities. The hosts were friendly and welcoming, we will definitely be back!

We only had the displeasure of staying here for 1 night (was supposed to be staying for 2). If you are planning on staying here as they advertise ‘free private parking on site available’ don’t bother because this is false advertisement by The Bell Inn, there is not free parking and the only place to park is for permit holders only and god forbid you park in the wife’s spot she will slag you off! Save your money and book somewhere that has tidy carpets and that doesn’t smell like beer, urine and cheap perfume!

Great pub. Warm and welcoming. Serves a smashin' pint of Guinness into the bargain. Just to top it all, there was a Partick Thistle strip on display - full marks for a pub in the middle of Cheltenham.

Lovely welcome from barmaid who took me to the room. Room 1 was rather large for one person. You enter into a small lobby, which has the bathroom off it and through another door in to the bedroom. There is no net curtain or curtain on the large window in this lobby, so passing through the lobby from the bedroom for the toilet in the night means getting fully dressed! The bathroom has an enormous bath in it plus a double-sized shower. Bathroom is tastefully decorated but I didn’t appreciate other people’s hair on the floor. The bedroom had a double bed and a single bed in it, plus there was a folded put-you-up single bed in there. The carpet wasn’t thread-bare but was coming to the end of life. The curtains were very pale and with street lights shining brightly, it made for quite a bright room. The TV stand had a broken shelf and the TV remote was falling to pieces. Due to the windows, all street noise could be heard but I did not hear any noise from the pub downstairs. Bedding and towels were spotlessly clean. I stayed in the pub for evening meal which was well cooked, tasty and an absolute bargain for £15 for two courses and a drink. Again, served by nice staff. Breakfast was in the back room of the pub which smelled of cat urine and a cat sat watching me for the whole time I was in there! The breakfast was simple but well cooked and good quality ingredients. Again, served by pleasant staff. This isn’t the Ritz but is a fair stay at a fair price run by staff who are kind and who seem to do their best to make you comfortable.

Great food from a wide menu. They offer children's portions from the adult menu but they are not actually much smaller anyway. A bit pricy, but the food is good and you get what you pay for!

We booked in for a one night stay including breakfast. The Inn was in a great location: a 5 minute walk into town and convenient parking across the road next to Crossways. We were greeted upon arrival and taken straight to our rooms. The rooms were big and each had a double and single bed. One room came with the option for a single bed to be put up as an extra. There were tea and coffee facilities, including a packet of biscuits. Towels were provided. The shower in the room with the ensuite was good quality. The breakfast was top notch, great quality food. The cost of the rooms were a fantastic price.

Four of us have just returned home after a 4 night stay having played golf in the surrounding area. The Bell was just perfect with great ensuite rooms which were clean, warm with comfortable beds,tv and tea/coffee.The price of our stay also included a full English breakfast or continental if preferred. The bar was cosy and traditional and obviously well liked by the regulars. The Bell is well situated for walking into town if looking for somewhere to eat, although The Bell has a very adequate evening meal choice which we sampled, and it was excellent and great value for money. Chris and is wife Joan went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable and extremely comfortable. If you are looking for great inexpensive accommodation then look no further than The Bell Inn. ,

Booked a room in this Inn as needed a central location for a night out in Cheltenham. It offers good value for money and is ideal for a short stay. The décor is a old fashioned but the rooms are clean and have a TV and tea and coffee making facilities. Plus there's a pub and restaurant downstairs! The owners are friendly and cooked a great breakfast. There is limited free parking alongside the Inn so you may be better using another car park.

A good spot if you are looking for a traditional pub ie good beer, good people and no screaming music. Great that you can get to the bar and be served without having to shout

Simply one of the best Sunday lunches I have ever had, everything cooked to perfection, with a varied choice to suit everyone's taste. The bell is a very friendly family orientated pub with a great atmosphere. June and Chris are very welcoming and cannot do enough for you. I will definitely be back and will be spreading the word. Thanks again

The worst pub in Cheltenham the landlord hates new people in his pub and just stands there giving dirty looks making people feel uncomfortable. He is a very rude man and I wouldn't recommend this pub to anyone

I didn't eat here, just nipped in for a pint of Guinness which was really nice. The barman was friendly (and had the most beautiful Welsh accent, but that's beside the point and has in no way influenced my rating ;D), and although there were only a couple of locals in there I didn't feel uncomfortable sitting on my own. It was a very relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, would definitely go back next time I'm in the area.

The Bell used to be my local pub and I have always loved the people and atmosphere. Went back two weeks ago to try their new carvery Sunday lunch. As a family with two small children it is sometimes hard to find something to suit everyone. This suited everyone. Lovely hot food, delicious potatoes and a choice of veg. Add some crackling and a yorkshire pud and you have the perfect family lunch. We planned to return once a month. Lasted two weeks before returning for more of the same today. A lovely relaxing and tasty meal.

We moved into offices near the Bell Inn last November and after using other 'trendier' bars in the area we stubbled across the Bell Inn. A nice warm greeting from Chis the Mine Host was accompanied by proper cold pints in a very friendly and relaxed setting. Chris' wife caters daily and there are some very nice dishes and specialities as well as standard pub fare. The locals welcomed us as did the staff, this is now our chosen local. We have taken staff and clients for lunch there and each time it has been superb with lots of choice and generous portions. A hidden gem.

Bien hecho!
