The Bell Inn in Stafford

This is my favourite pub in Eccleshall. Beer is by far the best, the atmosphere is lovely, and the staff are friendly. What more could you want?

Traditional locals drinking pub. Attended on specially hosted Caribbean food night with friends. Only intended to stay a short time. Ended up staying most of evening.

I’ve not been in the bell for a long long time, but I’m having visited the other day. I will make sure that I’m a regular visitor, really enjoyed the beer, and the atmosphere was brilliant, a real change around for this place👍

Food is lovely butties and Scottish Eggs, the Bell is back on form, lovely landlord and lady, great company!

Since the new management have taken over, this is once again a great pub with fabulous real ale and a friendly atmosphere. It is your typical village type pub with friendly bar staff and well kept real ale.

Great pub been going there on and off for years. However, One or 2 of the customers should get their mouths washed out - Unfortunately, the Landlord didn't say anything so wont be visiting again for awhile to listen to that.

Fantastic pub, so traditional you can almost feel the ghosts of 200 yrs ago sitting in a snug around the corner having a private conversation. It's an ancient building and a real proper pub still. Coffee is fantastic, atmosphere is fantastic and the staff and Landlord and landlady are lovely and so welcoming. It's in a beautiful setting on the high street and very quaint. Tvs always showing sport and a steady stream of drinkers in and out all day long. Open all day and they've just started doing pub food which I look forward to trying. Lovely big garden too.

Had a lovely meal to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The lady behind the bar was very friendly & made us most welcome. Lovely food, lovely atmosphere, will visit again soon 👍👍

Avoid this place, went in for a drink with my partner after 20 mins started getting verbally abused from blonde female bar staff., don't even waist your time going in there.

Furst time here, as recommended by a local in the village. Sarah, one of the managers, was exemplary in her welcome, manner and service. Nothing too much trouble. Steaks cooked to perfect medium as asked for. We will call again.

This pub is in the centre of the town and has a nice friendly feel and appears to be popular with the locals. The bar has a good choice of beers and live sport on the tv. We chose to sit in one of the other rooms to enjoy our drinks and a very tasty bacon, Brie and mango chutney baguette. Looking at the menu there were plenty of other meals to choose from plus some specials on the wall by the bar all looked reasonably priced, but for a Saturday lunchtime snack our food was perfect. Would definitely call in again if in the area.

The welcome was warm, as were the premises with an open log fire. The food was freshly prepared and cooked. The ingredients clearly were of a good quality and the quantity was large. The food was reasonably quick and very tasty. The bar is well stocked with a great selection of ales, lagers, gins, etc. as well as both non-alcoholic cold drinks and hot drinks.

Lovely food- giant portions, ideal if you're very hungry! Lovely proprietors and excellent service.

L have to say as l only drink ale the bell offers a good selection of ales at a reasonable price and you cant go wrong with the customer service there l would recommend the bell to anyone.

Hands down one of the best Steak and ale pies I’ve had in my life. My wife said her gammon was simply beautiful. The food was prompt and superb. Highly recommend this homemade genuine pub food.

Having recently moved to the area finding a new local was quite high on my list. This pub is awesome. Great staff and service along with a proper traditional feel. We have been welcomed with open arms by the staff and customers in this pub. Also very dog friendly- highly recommended.

Very nice place based on the high street in Eccleshall good selection off beers and wines good food has bands playing occasionally quiz night dog friendly.

A proper pub. With proper beer plus the usual improper beer. Would be 5 stars, but they have barstools at the bar which means you have to excuse yourself between a pair of locals to get served. I'm new to the area, so it's a bit inconvenient to get served.

Hiden gem on the high street. Pub that does everything. Food drink sport and good chat. Polite staff and a warm welcome. Good price food.

Very nice traditional pub with really good beer and a very nice atmosphere

We visited late on a Sunday afternoon, family of four including a toddler and were made to feel very welcome. I have to say Wendy’s roast dinner was simply splendid!! All our plates were scraped clean and the Yorkshires were amazing!! I should have taken a picture, but to be honest I just wanted to devour it as soon as it was our in front of me! After a bit of rocky period and questionable management it really seems that the new manager Phil is bringing the true spirit of the Bell back to life - happy days!! We will be returning.

Lovely atmospheric pub. Great food. Friendly staff. Real fire. My only problem was lack of parking as it's on a busy street in the middle of the town centre . Once I found somewhere to park....excellent.

The guy behind the bar was efficient and friendly, the drinks were good and reasonably priced and the live music was excellent. The only downside was the foul language of a small group of people. Hopefully that is not a regular occurrence.

Paid a visit to the bell last night as always great atmosphere , quick and efficient service and also there was a live band on which were very good . Always guaranteed a good night .

Typical men's meeting place but they let us girls join the men, good beers, food looks good, roaring fire and selection of gins - girlies and boys happy

Visitamos con la familia para cenar. Alimentos básicos pero bien. El lugar en sí es extremadamente sucio. Yo tenía un pantalón de color y no sentarse en el asiento de la banqueta en la alcoba. Están cubiertos de suciedad/grasa. Las ventanas están llenas de pequeñas moscas y todo el lugar necesita una limpieza profunda.
