Second visit this week. Tuesday was truly excellent so very hard to follow.....well tonight was also superb. We arrived with my wife in the middle of an asthma cough, no fuss, no bother, a member of staff simply handed her a glass of water. Now that is service. We ordered drinks from a very polite young woman, then ordered Mac'n'cheese and Katsu Chicken, ok, it was Steak Night but we had Steak on Tuesday.....both arrived in good time, both tasty, hot, and plentiful. Dessert was pannacotta, nice wobble and flavour. The ambience is good, the place was buzzing, the staff universally calm and friendly. A really great experience.

Have been coming to this pub for a few years now and seen different teams come and go but yesterday was one of the best visits we have had. Friendly staff and service good even though it was busy. The food was lovely and good value for money. Tables were cleared quickly. Best this pub has been in a while.

Another great family visit to The Bell. Despite a busy St Patrick’s Day they managed to fit 8 of us in for a late birthday lunch. Great, relaxed meal with excellent service- nice, friendly, smiling staff.

Food and service was impeccable could not fault it x Their were 10 of us but didnt have to wait for anything Keep up the good work x

Called in for quick drink. Made to feel very welcome and landlord happy that we just wanted drinks (although we did buy a children’s meal) Very pleased to see that they also have a seniors (smaller portion) menu. Although we didn’t eat on this occasion we will definitely be returning.

Booked in for Sunday lunch. Delicious roast, served with a smile. Lovely atmosphere, very friendly. Would recommend .

Tried the 'Gold' rated Beef and Ale Pie last night @ £12.69. Unfortunately the crust was hard, could not eat it. The 2 stems of Broccoli was cold and also hard, again had to leave it. Accompanied by a single layer of chips, totalling 17 and a small container of watery gravy! Not good. Pub not busy, so Chef's had plenty of time to prepare. Previously gave this pub 5 stars for Sunday Lunch. Not sure what happened last night, but it was not good!!! 3 main meals, 2 sides of onion rings, 2 regular cokes and a coffee, £52.74.

This was our 4th visit and yes again all great this is now our go to place to meet and eat. Staff, ambiance and food perfect. I work in hospitality myself and can't fault a thing.

We were staying at Benson Waterfront for a few days over new year and fancied some 'pub grub'. I found this lovely pub with parking quickly online then we headed out. This is the nicests greene king we've ever been to! Food was absolutely lovely, not greasy at all. Great service and lovely atmosphere. Love menu, would recommend to everybody!

We were caught in a storm and much in need of shelter and lunch, when we saw the bell, it has a big carpark and a garden, We rushed in and luckily were given a table, the place looked lovely, service was excellent and food very good, Every thing was perfect, we will come back again

We had pre booked a table for my dads birthday. The food was delicious and all came out together. The staff were friendly and attentive and even though there was 11 of us nothing was too much trouble. We even had our own seating area. The tables were beautifully decorated and festive. I booked a table for 18 of us a few months ago, to hold my mums 70th birthday lunch at The Bell on 9th December. The staff were so welcoming on the day, and set up our own private area which worked really well. The food was all correct to what we pre ordered and apart from a small complaint about the steak, your team member Steven was very prompt and helpful and apologetic, and replaced it. Thank you to Steven, Richard and the team who looked after us all so well. Nothing was too much trouble, food was great and so was the service. I look forward to visiting again in the future! I had a Christmas meal today with my friends, such a wonderful time , the staff were very attentive especially the Landlord, who made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble for him, thank you Richard. Definitely recommend.

Went for a meal on the 1st of November we’d booked our table for 4 quite a number of weeks prior, we arrived to be greeted by a member of staff might have been the manager “I hope you’ve pre booked or it’s pot luck what you get” amazing greeting! We ordered our meals and drinks as well as some water for with our meals. Our meals arrived (which were edible that’s all you can say about them) and the server bought the water and 3 glasses…. There were 4 of us, they then noticed the mistake and said “ohhh there’s four of you ahh well two of you will have to share” in a very can’t be arsed manner. We are individually repeat visitors as we are all very local, that will be our last visit the meal that my place of works Christmas meal (booked that night by someone that wasn’t with us) has now been cancelled via Barclay card, if we want to be treated like that we’ll go to Burger King the foods of about the same standard anyway

We have eaten twice this week Tuesday with 5 grandchildren and today with my daughter and granddaughter and both times had a very nice meal manager very friendly and great service will definitely be back again we’ll done seems too have improved since new manager has taken over but as only took over at weekend early days but such an improvement this week already

Came here on a busy Tuesday with my fiance, for some lunch fantastic food again and great service. The lady behind the bar was a real help and the gluten free menu was superb.

Came to the Bell, with all this lovely febuary weather. What a pleasant surprise, plenty of outside tables, great value on the entire range of drinks, #pleasantly surprised. Cheapest pub in Wallingford by a mile.

Really friendly staff, went out their way to help. 10/10 would go again. Food was good quality with fast service

Was just blown away by how friendly the staff are and that nothing is too much for them. Good little outdoor play ground to keep the kids happy and with the feed the family for £15 deal you can't go wrong (thank you chloe for pointing that out for me the kids loved there ice cream) will definitely be returning

I took my girlfriend out for Sunday lunch and I was pleasantly surprised by the price and quality of the food and the chap behind called Ben recommend the vilot fizz as I was wanted a glass of prosecco for my partner and witch was a perfect idea as it got me some browie points and I will definitely be returning soon. To take my mum out for her birthday meal thank you for such a great experience

Was very pleased today with the friendly and welcoming staff. However we had a problem with one of our meals but it was a small error and in a busy environment it happens but Owen sorted it effectively and quickly with a great smile, and a very kind apology whilst working his socks off.

What more can you ask for then free WiFi and a good cup of tea! Thank you chloe and Carl for helping me get set up

Food was amazing. Service was also amazing and our waitor cain was fun and friendly with us all and I would definitely recommend this place to all my friends and family for dinner.

I came in yesterday for a late lunch and staff were so friendly and helpful. Thomas was helpful and let it us Know it was order at the bar and Ellie and Andrea did an amazing job with the food. The manager Kieran was amazing, especially with my little one and thank you Carl and chloe for being great hosts to us. Will recommend to my family and friends.

I visited with my family and the bar maid named Zia was absolutely amazing so helpful and such a lovely person. Would definitely recommend.

Just got back from a meal here. 5 of us out of 8 had steak, regardless of how you like it cooked you get it well done, chips over cooked. Service was slow. How hungry horse let this pub remain part of their chain us beyond me? Would never visit again. There is a macdonalds 3 miles up the road-go there
