🚇 Aldgate 🍺 £6.20 Moretti ❤️ A lovely corner pub with an eclectic interior. . The Bell is just a five minute walk from Aldgate Tube and within touching distance of the sights and sounds of Spitalfields. . I visited here late on a Saturday afternoon not long after the pub opened at 5pm. There were a few in enjoying the relaxing atmosphere and the indie soundtrack which was playing tracks from Bowie, Arctic Monkeys and tunes from Pulp Fiction. . I ordered a beer from the nice fella behind the bar and took a seat on one of the many tables placed around this good sized bar area. I had a Moretti which was just over six quid and couldn’t fault it. The decor here is traditional with some eclectic touches, there are glamorous chandeliers, lots of stuffed animal heads (probs fake) and a wall of random mirrors. Downstairs there is a games room which has a fussball and pool table, downstairs is very popular and is often booked up for private functions. . This pub is where old London meets new. Looking around this pub you can imagine what it was like a hundred years ago and similarly there is a modern day artistic touch to make relevant to a younger crowd. This pub is off the beaten track which does makes it more desirable to visit. I thoroughly enjoyed this E1 boozer, @thebellpub has something for everyone and is a must visit. . 📊 Information correct on visiting 23/04/22

Arriba en la Campana esta semana tuvieron una noche de micrófono abierto, un gran ambiente, todos se divierten, apoyo a la gente que lo dirige. Me encantaría decir lo mismo sobre el bar de abajo y su personal. Mi único consejo puede ser si no quieres trabajar en un bar, por favor, encuentra otro trabajo, porque no podrías haberme hecho sentir menos bienvenido, solo grosero grosero y poco profesional. Sí, entiendo que quieres irte a casa. Tengo una noche libre a la semana y quiero divertirme. A veces tampoco me gusta mi trabajo pero no me desquito con los clientes. Siempre pensé que los bares de Londres servían hasta las 11 pm, luego tenías un período de gracia de veinte minutos para terminar tus bebidas. Desde alrededor de las 10 de la noche me sentí tan inoportuno, que solo me quedé para agradecer a la gente de la comedia. Great atmosphere and packed full of history. We ended up there after a Jack the Ripper walking tour, as the pub is directly linked to the 1888 murders. Well worth a visit

Visited the Bell last night and loved it! Dom and Isaac were super friendly and helpful! Loved the drinks, and the vibes and the decor. Will definitely be back for some more board games and drinks!

Nice pub, stopped by for some pool and pints. Had the games room to ourselves, played our own music on their Bluetooth system as directed by their very friendly! Lots of boardgames, nice pints, average price. Lovely spot to hangout for an evening in London.

Some of the worst bar service I’ve experienced in my 45 years on this planet. Not short of telling you to pour your own pint while practically spitting in your face. Maybe as an Irish person I’ve been ruined by excellent service in Ireland, but the lack of actual care to customer service is outstanding. If I could give a negative star I would. Any business person who had any sort of desire to make money needs to buy this place out cos it’s a travesty what is happening here. Ringing last orders at 10:30 while there is a crowd of people still drinking - screams staff who must be paid for a guaranteed min no of worked hours and have no desire to stay and serve customers. The potential for atmosphere is huge. I left and went just 500m down the road to another still busy bar 30 mins later after the last orders bell was rang at 10:30. Just next level could give zero fracks customer service ! Bravo.

Colegas de trabajo me dijeron que evitara este lugar y desearía haber seguido su consejo. Estaba allí con mi padre y algunos amigos y realmente tiene que ser el peor pub en el que he estado. Con alrededor de 40 personas en el bar -a mitad de semana- un barman hosco llamó repentinamente a los últimos pedidos justo antes de las 10 . 20 pm (La gente del trabajo me advirtió que el personal del bar cierra el bar temprano si no están de humor). Cuando mi padre le señaló la hora a dicho barman, a mi padre le dijeron que se fuera. Mi padre pidió amablemente hablar con el gerente y fue señalado hacia un tipo sentado al final del bar, que estaba completamente desinteresado en el lenguaje sucio que venía de su personal hacia un hombre de 70 años. Cuando mi padre fue a hablar con el gerente, se levantó y se fue. Como dije, la gente del trabajo me había advertido que este lugar tenía el personal más rudo y hosco y que se ha hecho conocido en la zona por su terrible servicio y temperamental horario de apertura, pero era otra cosa para verlo todo en acción. Es una verdadera pena, porque este podría ser un gran bar. Quien sea el dueño de este lugar sería mejor aconsejado deshacerse de todo su cumplido del personal y empezar de nuevo porque ahora está sangrando a los clientes a un ritmo con el que ningún negocio debería sentirse cómodo hoy en día. Ciertamente ninguno de nosotros volverá.

This is a nice traditional pub close to several attractions including Brick Lane, Spitalfields Market and Petticoat Lane. They had three cask beers on offer and I chose a rather nice Ghost Ship at £6.20. The pub has a lot of wood panelling, a feature that I like. They have a games room in the basement e.g. pool and table football, on Mondays and Tuesdays games are free. I was here at 3.30pm on a Tuesday and it was quite busy. The bar area was somewhat cluttered with posters and various other things adorning the walls but that added to the charm for me. In summary I liked this pub, it had a rather "local" feel to it.
