Great service as always at Costa coffee

We went for breakfast and ordered 2 cappuccinos with pastries. I was very surprised by the size of the cups. Both the coffee and the pastries were good. The price is the same as other establishments in London. Cozy place.

Je viens pour commander une boisson qui me fait de l'oeil depuis que j'ai atterri quelques jours auparavant, pour me faire dire sur un ton sec que pour l'avoir il fallait que je vienne la veille, qui était le dernier jour de l'offre limitée. Je décide tout de même de commander un chocolat chaud mais la serveuse est restée désagréable, ce qui a un peu ruiné l'expérience pour moi. Par ailleurs, les toilettes étaient sales et la porte ne fonctionnait plus correctement (poignée dysfonctionnelle), un monsieur est resté coincé dedans et les serveuses n'en avaient rien à faire. On a dû se débrouiller avec d'autres clients pour débloquer la porte. Ce costa ne vaut pas les autres, heureusement que le service était mieux lors de mes expériences précédentes.

Decent coffee; convenient location

The best coffee in London... Beats Starbucks....

Service was not too bad, the coffee was a alright. I got the Latte and my girlfriend got the Mocha. The prices are about level with other coffee shops in the area. However the espresso that they use in the mocha and i’m sure the espresso in general is EXTREMELY STRONG. We aren’t very caffeine sensitive but this was a lot for us lol. It felt like I had 4 monster energy drinks. We had a mocha at the Attendant that tasted much better with way less potency. So just a fair warning to eat a lot of food if you plan to have an espresso or the Mocha because it is quite strong. The place itself is nice and clean as well. Some of the workers are very fast and hard at work and there’s another that’s very slow. But they seem to have a good flow here.

Revamped since my last visit I use this often on my way through to the city. now plus M&S food 🙂 the only recent changes have been the increase in PRICES 😞

Great coffee staff always friendly

Breakfast was substandard. Have had the menu items at other outlets and they were nice but this one tasted completely wrong. Suffice to say the food was inedible.

This is a local place to me, I normally pass by. On this occasion I thought I would give it a try. The worst customer service experience I have experienced. I smiled and said hello to the young girl and she made no facial expression and no reply. I expect a minimum service standard when I go in and order something. Even if the smile is not there, acknowledge customers and greet them, hello can i help you is a good start. I went in on 23 November at around 3pm Improve your customer service! You are not the only ones serving high priced coffee in the area!

Comfortable chairs. Soft lights. Pleasant temperature. Clean premises. Friendly service. Quiet when we visited. Sadly, the coffee was served luke warm.

A cafe with large selection of coffee and pastries. They have a delicious lotus cheesecake that is a must. It’s located on a Main Street closer to many train stations. The staff were not as friendly and that is why I gave them 3 stars.

I took my oat latte from that shop 13 th Sunday in August .Staff named Irma was super helpfull ,kind and very carring when I told her that I have allergy about unwashed jug in many coffe shop then after she straightaway recleaned the jug .She was one of the best and kindest Costa staff .Thank you for dedicated job Irma

Asked for a simple vanilla latte - the thing had no taste, completely watery, and no foam. The lady really did not care at all making it properly. Really unpleasant

No payment receipt given. Generally not a great service.

It was quiet. I could sit down there was space, the baristas were friendly and helpful. I got the order I wanted. I had a delicious cheese and bean toasty with a popcorn frappé and thoroughly enjoyed it. I will definitely go back soon. I didn't have the presence of mine to add photos up this point but I will the next time I visit.

This shop should not be advertised as “Opens at 6am” . 6:10am this morning and the staff was not quite ready yet. I was joined by another 3 blokes waiting for them to open. One of them said they are never on time at this shop. I could have walked down to Aldgate, get a coffee from the Black sheep, and go my way- it would have taken less time than queuing here.

Stinky uncleaned toilet. Basic bacon sandwich and 2 coffees that we waited 10 mins for even though the Costa was nearly empty

Just got this iced flat white. Tastes like charcoal, completely over brewed and burnt.

Came here on my birthday to redeem my bday cake voucher, and the staff were super friendly! They wished me a happy birthday too which is always nice, and my coffee and cake were as good as expected!

Spanish or Italian guy is a condescending member of staff. If you don't like your job, move on.

I have never experienced such rude and unprofessional customer service in my life. My food was not cooked, I asked for the food to be cooked correctly and got my sandwich thrown down on the counter and told to wait. I then asked to speak to the manager and found it was the manager Maria who was making and slamming my food around !! The toll lady apologised for her managers behaviour which in itself is a joke ! Manager Maria had nothing to say no apology and had her faced screwed up. Avoid this place at all costs the customer service is honestly shocking and they can’t even cook the food properly. I was also told the grill they use doesn’t work properly lol absolute joke of a place !!!

I love my coffee in a ceramic mug because taste better. This is the reason I never order take away coffee. This is the reason I love costa. However this time I have being told "we will serve it I a take away cup because we short of staff." Well first of all everyone seated around me had a latte glass or ceramic mug, so I felt treated differently. Second of all, it was 4pm and the place close at 7 pm, I'm sure they had enough time to wash that mug. I am sorry your place have not enough staff, you should complain to your manager. However, there was 3 tables seating there. It was not busy.. It's sound very lazy to say something like that to a guest in those circumstances. The guy was polite but not even bothered.

I was especially looking for a Costa here in the area because I like Costa coffee..waiting for my coffee, I noticed how one of the employees wiped the coffee cup of a customer in front of me with a dirty cloth, which is not correct! and at 5 pm they have already started cleaning for closing, the outside meals have been taken, (taking into account that the program is until 6 p.m)

So disappointed Tropical Mango Bubble Frappé . She make to much ice , the drink like water disgusting. I been drink Tropical Mango Bubble Frappé other store near Aldgate Station all the time taste so great . Never go this store again.

I go with my friends to this particular Costa on a daily basis because stuff is friendly and they make great coffe, place is always clean and really welcoming.

A very tasty lovely coconut 🥥 milk cappuccino n golden syrup cappuccino from hmmm hmmm Costa, it was very delightful and enjoyable and you can taste the coconut if just drinking of the froofy milk

Firstly, Costa Coffee is far better and cheaper than Starbucks! I will always rate Costa Coffee higher than Starbucks! I've been a regular customer of this Costa Coffee branch for a while now and I have always been impressed. The customer service is outstanding! I was served by the guy with braids and he was amazing! He was very friendly and caring! I don't know his name or I would have definitely mentioned him. Honestly, he deserves a pay rise for his brilliant customer service! The branch was clean, well organised and tidy. It smelt fresh and had a calming, relaxing atmosphere. Very cooling to sit in particularly on a hot day. Brilliant music played throughout the day. However, my order was a takeout. I highly recommend that you try the Fruit Coolers and the Golden Caramel Frostino (Absolutely delicious and limited edition). The branch is well stocked with a great range of desserts and lunch options. However, I really wish they could stock the Lotus Biscoff Cheesecake that Costa Coffee do! I'm still longing to try that! The branch is conveniently located in between Aldgate and Aldgate East Stations and has always been my go to Costa Coffee branch! You can also order from here on Uber Eats and Deliveroo which is a great added convenience. Overall, a brilliant Costa Coffee branch I strongly recommend you order from here!

I LOVE this store. The members of staff there are exceptional! Not only they are super friendly, but if you're also kind to them, they remember excactly what you order which makes things even better. It's the only Costa in the area that I go to basically for the staff only! :) Keep up the amazing job!

I'm seething. I've been a regular customer in this well kept outlet for the best part of six years, at this stage of my life, I have familiarised myself with what Costa provides and have found that to be to my liking. What I like about Costa is the predictability. The worst thing that had previously happened in one, was when the Vanilla latte I ordered, was presented to me as a regular latte. Okay, I thought. People make mistakes. After a year or so, I got over it and stopped writing letters to the barista in question and let him move on too, without this time noting the change of address. All charges were dropped. But today, all previous wrongs forgotten, I breezed in, chatting cheerily at anyone who would listen, saying classic white person things like "hey chaps", "good morning campers" and "what a day to be alive on this crisp January" (really emphasising the word 'crisp' to indicate the cold freshness) - no one responded to me, but that's okay. They never do. "Good morning Sandy" I chirped to the barista - I'm not sure if that was her name, and I didn't have glasses on so couldn't read the tag - but even a broken clock tells the right time twice a day, so i've always found just picking random names, assigning them based on a first impression, can occasionally bring success, if not always, then at least once in about a thousand. "Can you warm up this sausage bap?" I asked. Sandy did so, and while doing so, asked if I wanted anything else. "Yes ma'am" I said, tipping my hat to her. "May I have the usual?" She asked me what my usual was, which I found amateurish but after a withering glance that had enough venom to still the heartbeat of a small marmot, I continued. "Vanilla Latte please - and don't be shy with the vanilla" "That will be five pounds - cash or card" said Sandy At this stage I already had my cheque book out and was just signing it off when she said they didn't take cheque. Another withering glance. But fine. I paid in coins to spite her. Having secured the latte, and really anticipating its rich, creamy sweetness - I smiled, leaving the outlet and saluting the other customers on my way out. That's when it happened. I lifted the carton to my lips, when out poured the coffee, its flood of hot steaming sugary goodness, suddenly like the boiling lime poured on the attacking soldiers beneath the crenellated walls of a castle siege. I couldn't keep a lid on things. I was being boiled alive. Was I dying? Is this how it ends? Sandy hadn't put the lid on. What I thought was a sip, was really a deadly act of self harm, my white tuxedo which I wear to work (at a Warhammer Merchandise shop) was ruined and people stopped in the street to point and jeer. I wanted the ground to swallow me up, instead the ground coffee was all that enveloped me. I could smell vanilla on my clothes and the stain on my pride will never be washed out, even with a mountain of Vanish Oxyaction. I am going to sue, that's a given. The question is for how much? It's sad because I was like Costa, but this is going to Cost-a-lot for them and it's a price that they won't be able to pay. I don't need any sugar added to my next syrupy latte (from Cafe Nero) because the revenge that I shall take on Costa, will be sweet enough, sweet sweet vengeance. P.S the sausage bap was fine.

Lovely place to relax for coffee.

Very friendly staff. I do not drink a lot of coffee but today I felt like need one. Walked in and the staff made my day. Both of the gentlemen on duty we super friendly and nice. They served everyone a coffee with a smile and it made my Day. Keep it up guys! Friendly atmosphere and 5* customer service definitely makes me want to come back.

Standard Costa in the grimy, busy, building site which is this part of London. Pleasant enough; not too busy, staff ok and clean and functional facilities.

Great friendly staffs with fast and efficient service when the area manager is not getting in the way (guy in white shirt scrutinizing everything causing delays, this could be done as a training session when not trading) otherwise great.
