We went to Milaanj for lunch when it first opened and thoroughly enjoyed it. We were therefore pleased to be notified when they were producing a Tasting Menu for Autumn. Although it was the next evening we went and were so pleased we did. The food is exceptional. We spent the evening trying to break down the flavours. I do so hope they find time to offer a cooking course from time to time. We were stuffed by the end but we persevered; after all who in their right mind would pass up on apple and blackberry crumble. What really makes this place though are the people. The bonhomie and infectious enthusiasm of the main man (I must get his name), the delightful efficiency of the young ladies always happy and eager to look after you; and the Maestro Ruchi discreetly conducting. A real pleasure to talk to, professional and somehow in the background but everywhere at the same time. It’s a drive for us but worth it. The hardest part is going to be choosing something different when you know you’re already looking to something you had before. Thank you for a super feast.

What a brilliant experience ! Delicious food with an exciting mix of British & Indian flavours. We were delighted to see good vegan options too which is a massive positive change. An amazing evening at the Milaanj with some fusion of flavours at display expertly crafted by Ruchi and her team. The service right from the word go was impeccable and Phoenix took care of us very well. We had the Potato Plava and lamb kebabs for starters. Both the dishes were authentic and flavoursome. Jamun cocktail and the negroni were very good accompaniments. I had the marinated lamp rump and my wife had the courgette paneer flower and both dishes were very tasty. We polished off with a saffron soufflé Rasmalai with a home made mango ice cream ( this is a must try !!) and came home Happy with our tummies full and happy. Thank you Team Milaanj for an amazing dinner !

Big mistakes made here. First impressions bad. Removing the traditional pub sign - not on really. Real ale was off. Erecting an umbrella on the patio required a member of staff to do it. Hedge on left of garden has grown to obscure the view. Painting the patio furniture is a mistake. Good luck my friend you will need it. Also who are going to pay £20 a Head for lunch (excluding drinks) ?

Recently visited Milaanj for Sunday lunch, and it was an unforgettable experience. The highlight of the meal was the fish wrapped in fig leaf – absolutely exquisite and bursting with flavour. The dish was a perfect blend of tradition and innovation, making it stand out as one of the best meals I've had in a long time. The service was exceptional, with the staff going above and beyond to make us feel welcome and well taken care of. Milaanj continues to impress with its diverse and flavorful offerings. The lamb kebab was succulent and well-seasoned, while the chicken tandoori exhibited perfect tenderness with a smoky depth. However, the standout dish was undoubtedly the potato chat - an extraordinary blend of textures and spices that elevates this often overlooked appetizer to new heights. The meal concluded on a sweet note with the chocolate marquis, a rich and decadent dessert that balanced the savory courses perfectly. Milaanj’s consistency across multiple visits speaks to its quality and attention to detail. The restaurant successfully marries traditional flavors with modern execution, making it a worthy destination for those seeking a memorable dining experience.

Recently, I visited "Milaanj at Beehive" with my family (nine of us) and we were impressed by the new look and menu with such unique food. It was the best we could ask for. The new drink menu also added to the experience like never before. The food, which was the most important thing for me, was outstanding. We had many starters and all of them were delicious, and the mains were excellent too. I had a Jamun Gin drink, which I had never seen anywhere else, and it was amazing. Finally we tried all desserts to share and once again there all fantastic. It was a great experience for us, and a wonderful dinner for my son's birthday. I would highly recommend the place!!

Came here on fathers day with the family and we were all disappointed. Servers themselves were nice enough although we didn’t have one consistent waiter, which is fine and not something to expect from a place like this. Service itself was slow, we assumed there was no bread as it took a good while to come, we were given half a bun each which is okay but on the way out I saw another group of 4 get one bun split between all of them which comes across as inconsistent and unprepared. I had the fish and chips, chips were soft and didn’t come with vinegar, the texture of the fish was okay but it tasted soapy, hints of a clean kitchen counter you could say. It came with a curry sauce which tasted more like a tomato soup than anything, which is surprising for a place with lots of south asian influence in the dishes. Tartar sauce and mushy peas were okay but didn’t taste very fresh. My sister ordered a roast and shared some of it, the potatoes were lacking in crunch and yorkshire pudding was thin and chewy. Also tasted some of the lamb which my parents ordered which wasn’t too bad to be fair. Atmosphere wasn’t great, the restaurant doesn’t feel special in any way from the tacky wallpaper to the waiters black shirt uniforms. We had no inclination to stay for dessert. I had heard this pub was very good before and had some passion about it but all the chefs left when management changed hands and I can see why. Won’t be coming back for a while but if i do i’d hope to be pleasantly surprised in which case i’ll delete this review but until then a lot needs to change.

Food was amazing, would definitelygo again and definitelyrecommend, the service was extremely good, the only reason I didn't give 5 stars for service was the condescending older waiter, who spoke to me like I was an idiot when asking how many shots of coffee they put in their cappuccino. This required a simple answer of 1 or 2, not a long obnoxious condescending lecture at the end of my meal. Which did somewhat spoil the lovrly experience.

Sunday lunch tasted delicious although very salty, the meat arrived 5 minutes before the vegetables so the plate got cold quite quickly the vegetables arrived warm but not hot so we asked for extra gravy which was hot but so so salty. The roast potatoes were the only things that were hot but covered in salt. It all tasted delicious but it wasn’t hot and too salty so completely ruined the meal for me. The wine was overpriced (£50 for a bottle of Marlborough Sauvignon) so we gave that a miss. Nice place, but quite cold inside and service was slow - sorry to say we won’t be back.

I'd love to rate higher, but it just wasn't worth it. Nice location and design ok (but not a clue why it's called Beehive as NOTHING relates to it Service was really just ordinary, no attempt at all to inject any personality or character, the service team was young and probably new which is ok, but come on, anyone can be trained And if SO MANY things are not available, hey, tell guests when they arrive, not after they have decided, and this was at least 4 to 5 items Food was 'ok' but certainly nothing better than anywhere else The manager...well, didn't really think there was one as NO personality and NO responsiveness to requests..obviously just a job, that's it This is the sort of place you go to, first impression..nice, further impressions.. oh boy, they have no clue, don't care and just don't respond, last impression...wouldn't go back again, no reason at all, many other options Suggestion..New manager? A real one..train staff, it isn't that hard, inject some care and passion and make the food fab, not just OK Bit sad really, and doesn't need to be

Man, we were so excited to eat here as it came highly recommended from a trusted source. Sadly, our experience was at best a 2 out of 5. Our meal started on a promising note. The bread was fresh, warm and utterly delicious. The cheesy pickley canapé served alongside it was like a blast of flavor in our mouths, setting a rather high bar for our Sunday lunch. We were off to a promising start. The starter course followed suit. The medley of anchovies, pickled red onions, and sourdough worked wonders, tantalizing our taste buds with the unique combination of flavors. Unfortunately, from there on, things went south. We had ordered the beef pie and the beef roast for our main courses, and they both were profoundly disappointing. Let's start with the roast, the Yorkshire puddings accompanying the roast were soft and had a puddle of oil in the middle. The cauliflower cheese was cold, the roast potatoes were rubbery and waxy - exactly not what you want from your Sunday roast. The only thing that was cooked well was the beef. The pie, in particular, was shockingly inedible. An overwhelming salinity took over every bite, completely overwhelming the rest of the ingredients and reducing what could have been a hearty dish to a salt mine. It was a hard pass. Interestingly, we also saw a family next to us send back their pie. The chips were a pleasant deviation from this downward spiral, crispy and well-seasoned, they were an unexpected star. Then there was the matter of our drinks. We had ordered the Elderflower Spritz, yet despite reminding the staff multiple times, our drinks were never served. When we brought this to the attention of our waitress, she was unapologetic, offering the excuse of the restaurant being busy. In conclusion, a meal that had such a promising start was completely overshadowed by poor main courses and lackluster service. For an establishment that came highly recommended, we were left deeply disappointed. We expected much better, and the restaurant didn't deliver. From our experience, I'd think twice before suggesting this place to anyone else.

Three stars seems like a harsh score, but I've dropped one for food and another for value. Food wise I felt that both dishes I had clobbered the fish with overpowering flavours; soy-sauce based dressing on the tuna tartare and the pickled cabbage/satay sauce with the cod. I finished both dishes and the other diners all thought their food was great, so maybe I just didn't choose that well. Canapés and bread were also excellent, as was the orange soufflé with mince pie ice cream Also, £85 each seemed steep, but there were enough good things to warrant trying the Beehive again

We came to eat knowing it’s going to be very pricey and wanted to have a posh and nice night out. We were welcome nicely and got presented the menu. We selected the wine and our starters and mains. For starter I had the tuna tartare and my other half had the duck and liver pate. My tuna tartare was interesting but was lack of salt and a bit tasteless. The pate was very nice. My other half enjoyed it. For main I had the Haunch of Wild Venison and my other half had the Roast Pork Tenderloin. My main came warm and I was expecting it to be hot. I asked the waiter and he explained me that as the wild venison is supposed to be red it’s not being cooked in hot temperature and that is how it should be cooked. Maybe it’s my lack of understanding but it put me off of this dish. My other half enjoyed the pork. For desert we had the chocolate fundo which was fine. I don’t know how to summarise this evening as personally I was disappointed but my other half wasn’t.

Some of the staff are trying hard (our server was nice) but are absolutely let down by lack of front-of-house leadership. The job of the manager is not to stand around gossiping with tables about how they’ve fired someone, it didn’t help the atmosphere much... It’s not a cheap place (easily £200 for a couple, and more than that for us on our visit) but although the food is probably worth it, the experience is not! (Visit: Saturday 1st October 2022)

I visted Nandos, Windsor for the very first time on Friday 12/4/24, with my family (x8 of us). I was most impressed with the venue and the attentiveness of the staff in general. We were greeted with a welcoming smile and politeness from Ahsan upon entering and shown to our table after he ensured it was clean and given our menus. Our order was taken by an absolutely welcoming and most professional young lady, named Tasha (Natasha?). She ensured our order and a gluten order was done as requested. She checked in with us to ensure everything was ok and that the food and service was to our satisfaction. She answered any concerns we had regarding the cooking of the gluten food ordered; which was very reassuring. When the food came Flemming ensured the chicken was grilled to perfection and another young man (dark haired, charming) ensured we had our cutlery and enough tissues which was great to have because of my little grandchildren. Upon finishing our delicious meal, the lovely Ruzalia in passing wasted no time in ensuring our table was cleared which was great because it stopped my grandchildren from dipping fingers back into the plates or playing with the cutlery. A great experience was had by all. We enjoyed the meal, the service and the ambience of the venue. Thanks to Tasha for being a great host, alongside her team 🙂 which helps greatly when entering a restaurant for the first time. When next in Windsor, I WOULD definitely visit again. 🙂

This spot is absolutely amazing! Friendly services and yummilicious food. My son absolutely adore their special fried rice and I love most of the foods specially dragon roll, fried aubergine, salmon teriyaki, Peking ribs, tofu fried vegetables 😋 Yes we go there very often!

My husband and I always love coming here. It always feels special when we come here for date night. The owner, a lovely guy always comes over to check on us and say hello. This visit was probably the best steak I have had there. I chose a really lovely Italian rose to have with it and tomato salad and whole garlic bulb. My husband had steak and Caesar salad, which he also raved about. This is definitely the nicest place to eat in Windsor and always feels super special. Thanks for a lovely evening, once again x
