The Beckford Inn in Wychavon

Booked 3 Nights on a Muddy Paw Deal, which included Breakfast & £25 pp towards the cost of the Evg Meal. All the Staff were Polite, Professional & Characters in their own right. The Breakfasts were Excellent & my 4 legged Companion enjoyed his Mng Canine Sausage. The Home Made Pies & Steaks were Moorish. The Free Drinks in the Fridge/Room & Biscuits were a nice Touch. Will Return.

We nipped in for a quick lunch and we were pleasantly surprised. Husband had “delicious” fish tacos and I went to heaven in a bowl of truffle fries and side salad. The service was good and the restaurant nice and cosy despite its size.

A very nice remodeled, cosy, boutique, room that was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Free water, non alcoholic beer and milk were in the in room fridge. We did not have dinner in the attractive restaurant as our friends, who live a mile from the inn, fed us dinner. The free breakfast was a full English and most adequate, We would gladly stay again if we are in the area again.

What a find! We loved this place, so did our dogs. The bedroom was lovely and clean and big enough for an overnight stay, lived the Dyson fan and radio in the room. We had dinner here and it was faultless. I had steak and my OH had fish n chips. Nothing was too much. What makes this place is the staff. They are welcoming and friendly. The wine list is incredible and the restaurant is warm and cosy. I would stay here again in a heartbeat and it’s so close for exploring Broadway and Tewkesbury. Thanks all for a lovely Mini break. We came across this Inn on the way to our holiday destination. Its a two min drive from where we stayed for two weeks. The staff are friendly, it's a big place with a large car park. Lots of seating inside and out with accommodation if needed. It's clean, dog Friendly and relaxing. We had the Sunday roasts. Reasonably priced and tasted great! With the added bonus of not cooking it or washing up! We called in several times during our stay and enjoyed it every time. We shall definitely visit again.

Me and partner came here for a Sunday lunch…. It was awful. The beef dinner was £23 and the side of cauliflower cheese was £6, so total of £29 The roast potatoes were hard and cold. You can clearly see they had been cooked hours ago, for the veg I had one slice of carrot and cabbage, again also dry. The cauliflower cheese looked like it had been cooked yesterday and just reheated The staff were polite and took it off the bill as I had to two mouthfuls and couldnt eat any more of the awful toast dinner Dont go here with too much expectation and be prepared to eat else where after

We really enjoyed our short stay. The room was spacious, clean and a little quirky which we loved. Dinner and breakfast were excellent and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. Only minor concern was the lack of cereal and fruit at breakfast. Overall a lovely stay and good value for money.

We stopped here for lunch on the way through to Cheltenham. Wow! We must return again very soon, the food was absolutely incredible 😍

We had been told the food was good here. Indeed that was true the food was really tasty. However, some portions were very disappointing. We had a cheeseboard as a starter and for £12.95 we got 6 crackers, 3 very small pieces of cheese and chutney. We also ordered cauliflower cheese to accompany our Sunday lunch. For £5.25 we got a very small portion, hardly enough for 1 person. Also I advise visitors to check the drinks prices before you order because I was charged £12 for a glass of wine. Which was supposed to be large! So come on guys, your prices are not cheap so at least give people decent portions so we feel we are at least getting value for our money.

A disappointing lunch with walking friends at the Beckford Inn. We had a good table in a well-appointed room with bay window. The food had been ordered earlier (before the walk), but the person who said he was the manager got the order wrong (4 large and 1 small fish& chips instead of 4 small and 1 large), and then when we arrived, told us that the menu had been changed the previous day and the pie of the day was now cottage pie. That cottage pie (with chopped-up cabbage) was somewhat small and very ordinary, and the price charged was the same as the pie would have been - £16.95 - excessive, we thought; and the small fish (& chips) was decidedly small. The young waitress was very polite and attentive, but she could do nothing about the order or food, and the manager said he couldn't (or wouldn't) do anything, and tried to charge us a 10% service charge on top of our bills. So, not a good experience and my wife and I certainly won't go there again.

Made our first visit to the Beckford Inn today and couldn't be more impressed. From the initial warm welcome by our host, through to fine wine, great beer and fabulous food, this gem of a pub couldn't be faulted! It's clear that this find has much more to offer too by way of accommodation and events but our experience today was just exceptional. Thank you Beckford Inn and we'll be back!

Searching for a new place for reasonably local pub lunch, we were attracted by the menu, and the reality did not disappoint. We shared two starters and two (smaller size) mains. Perfectly judged portions. Some imaginative additions to the dishes on all the Butcombe menus. Everything very enjoyable. Friendly, well timed service. There were some problems with the beer pumps, and our first drinks were kindly deleted from the bill. The optional 10% service charge had not been added to the bill and was not mentioned until we asked. Prices very fair, and there are some special deals, especially if you sign up to their Rewards programme. We were very impressed overall and will return.

A wonderful hotel. Made to feel so welcome, from the moment we arrived, until the moment we checked out. Lovely warm, comfortable,tasteful bedrooms, with surprise extras such as complimentary bottle of prosecco and local craft beer. Food was splendid and very good value, given the quality and surroundings (the restaurant is beautiful). Every single member of the hotel team were a delight to meet - warm, friendly, polite and helpful. Would give this hotel 10/10 and highly recommend

I booked a table for 7 adults and 4 granddaughter's lunch, the staff were so helpful dealing with the booking and welcoming on arrival. The roast lunches were amazing, we had 4 beef, 2 chicken and all the girls had the children sized roast along with one other meal. It was great to see all enjoying their food. All agreed the food was brilliant and a few of us did manage to have desserts after. Service was excellent, a big thank you to everyone at The Beckford. Thoroughly recommend

We stayed at the Bedford inn for a long weekend, Pedro, Meme and Katherine were excellent they couldn’t do enough for us. The room, food and all staff were amazing. We will definitely be coming back. Although there was a busy road at the front of the inn, we didn’t hear a thing, it was very quiet and relaxing.

Sick of sandwiches and we were longing for a home cooked meal, and destiny randomly decided that we should spontanelously stop for lunch at the attractive looking Beckford Inn. Greeted by the manager Pedro and soon after by his youthful, well trained chef Rui. What a warm welcome, and having declared that our longing was a home cooked wholesome meal, Rui ecommended, and produced the most delicious fresh pie and chips, gravy beyond culinary belief, and a perfect salad. Wow, wow & wow!!! Spoil yourselves and stop here for a fabulous meal. Thank you Pedro and Rui.

Thank you to Pedro and Barry for welcoming us to The Beckford Inn with our dog Pete . We stayed for 2 nights to celebrate the New Year. The Food the cleanliness of the rooms and the standard was excellent. All the food is freshly cooked to a very high standard . With good quality produce. All the staff are very pleasant and hard working . We will definitely be back in the near future. We cannot fault this fantastic place .

We went as a family to celebrate my father’s 70th birthday with family. We had drinks in the bar as well as a meal. We waited ages ( I mean ages) for service,Pedro the meet & greater that showed us to our room was short, non descriptive and unhelpful. The meals we ordered all had to be changed due to a booking of 50 in a function room ( Cheltenham race week) So we all had to order what was left! All we can say is sack the chef(s) Food was ALL SALTY?? Like really salty and inedible, no one retook drinks orders , ice cream was stingy and 1 scoop ( not enough for an adult paying £6) Rooms were the noisiest due to people upstairs walking around at all hours 3-6am!! We couldn’t sleep and were exhausted the next day. The whole place was clean, staff were bored and non responsive. Breakfast we waited over 40 mins to eat! No toast offered and when it came half way through was burnt!! In the end we just laughed as it was that bad. We will not return which is a shame as it took the sparkle out of my Dads special celebration. This place needs a shake up with staff. Room was clean

We stayed for one night with our 2 dachshunds. Lovely friendly welcome. Showed us to our room which was one of the cottages. Lovely clean room, and they had the radio playing for us which was a nice touch! Great selection of tea and coffee, and fridge drinks. Considering it is a dog friendly room, there was no dog hair or signs of pets being allowed in the rooms - it was that immaculate! We had dinner and breakfast with our stay. Our dogs are quite reactive, however Pedro was amazing with them both! He paid them just as much attention as us - bringing around all sorts of biscuits for them to try. We couldn’t fault Pedro. He’s such a breath of fresh air, and made our dogs feel so comfortable that we were able to sit around for hours and not have to worry about them. Food was too notch and very reasonably priced. The scotch egg sharing plate is a must!! We’re very sad to be leaving after only one short night, but loved it so much we’re looking at coming back for christmas next year! Facilities for dogs are great. Lots of open grass area for them to walk around, plenty of dog treats and water bowls provided too. This is a must for absolutely anyone - very reasonably priced and well worth every penny.

Fabulous food and a lovely atmosphere. Staff are friendly and just attentive enough. Cannot recommend leaving room for a dessert enough - everything is great but the desserts are superb.

Food is seriously good but expensive. The real let down is the automatic 10pc service charge that we did not know about. Give people the choice. Most will pay. Feels underhand and unnecessary.

Friendly welcome, well equipped and comfortable rooms with lots of nice extras including a beer or prosecco in the fridge, cafetiere with local coffee, nice teas, fresh milk and home made shortbread biscuits.
