Monday nights chef Giovanni cooking up seriously good food. Valentine's Day was exceptional. Mouth watering just thinking about it.

Brilliant Great food superb staff Stopped by for a bite to eat and how glad I was Very clean all covid conscious and really enjoyed it. Wish I could have stayed longer so I will be back and I will be with family next time. Top notch indeed

came for a drink wont be coming again dirty and scruffy looking, all u get is a mouth full of smoke from the smokers as ur try to enter, outside looks scruffy and run down and language is disgusting not good when ur walking threw with young kids..

When with a group of friends to celebrate results day, soon as I walked through the door I was greeted by 3 customers shouting abuse to any one not following the arrow system, politely informed the bar staff and was told that they are regular customers and they are allowed to shout abuse. One of us was told to present ID for a lemonade and was told to leave by 9pm if you are under the age of 18 with the staff member saying “she has to be out by 9”. Overall, a very disappointing trip due to the harsh treatment of the customers. As a result, we swiftly departed to another pub and stayed at the Beaumont for 30 minutes. We shall not be drinking/dining here again.

Went today for Sunday lunch with my husband the best Sunday lunch we have had in a long time .The meat was so succulent it melted in your mouth everything was home made and cooked to perfection , the Yorkshire puddings were to die for . I would highly recommend and for the price in fact i would have paid more . I will defiantly be back again .

Went for lunch with a friend, ordered fish, chips and mushy peas from the menu. Had quite a wait and when the food arrived it had garden peas and no tartare sauce. The fish batter was bright yellow and the fish inside was hard and inedible. I changed mine for scampi and my friend ordered another fish, mine was ok but the fish was once again inedible. Told the waitress and said she didn't want another. Asked for the bill and was charged full price untill we said we weren't paying for the fish. The bill was reduced but we wont be returning !

I had made arrangements to take my Mum who was celebrating her 100th birthday to the Beaumont today, unfortunately due to the current risks to her health due to the Covid 19 virus it was wise to cancel this visit. I received a call from the pub landlord to say that they felt sure that she would be disappointed and were very sorry she could not come as arranged. They told me that in view of this they would deliver a nice vegetarian meal to her at her home. And this they duly did. How many pubs would do this I wonder, how's that for customer service and caring for the elderly and their community. I can't thank them enough. Ten stars!

Recently visited The Beaumont, had a Sunday roast, choice of meat, it was lush, plentyful and very, very tasty. The service was excellent and the bar staff were very poliylte and friendly. Would I go back, absolutely and I would definitely recommend it.

Food was just about satisfactory for a pub, although burger was burnt black round the edges. Sons side salad looked like it had been prepared last week. Eggs were snotty. Main problem was the resident alky/druggy, I couldn't quite make up my mind which one? Maybe both? Stood at the bar ordering half pints one after the other, shouting, swearing, and talking extremely loudly to a fruit machine.... Constantly! Older couple next to us complained about the food and two ladies across ordered a bottle of wine but only drunk half then left. He was unbearable, His voice carried as we were at the opposite end of the pub and it was grinding on us the whole time. I mentioned to bar maid 'is he always this loud' she answered 'oh Graham? Yes' 'i'll ask him to calm down for you' then at the bar she spoke to him, he said 'I'll behave myself' they then kissed on the lips. He wasn't shutting up anytime soon! He continued, there were children in there and he was hastling everybody that walked through the door! Trying to hug the females, he'd have got a swift back hander if he'd tried to touch me! We ate our food quick time and went. But like other reviews on here their dog was sat beside us the whole time! I'm a dog lover I have 2, but certainly don't want one staring at me the whole time I'm eating! Safe to say I won't be returning anytime soon...

My wife and I had heard some good reviews of this place recently and had cause to visit ASDA Clayton last week si decided ti lunch here. First impressions of the outside of the building were not great. Paintwork a shocking purple and some rotting wood on the outside furniture and doors. Nice and warm and very clean inside and we were warmly welcomed. First disappointment, no non-alcoholic beer so had to settle for lime and soda. It was okay. I ordered sausage, mash & peas and my wife ordered buttermilk chicken. Both lots of food were well cooked and the gravy with my sausage was excellent. Why won't we return? The pub's resident dog wouldn't leave us alone! It constantly eyed my sausage with obvious envy. I don't mind dogs but not when I'm eating.

Myself and my partner have been here a few times to eat. I can honestly say it is delicious. We always have a mixed grill and have never been disappointed. Service is wonderful. The whole experience is excellent. Charlotte is a delight.

First visit for a long time, I had sirloin and my two sisters had rump. It was delicious and everything was eaten. Second visit was a Tuesday teatime, took husband and ordered the same food, it was very disappointing. The pub is being refurbished and there are workers with high viz on drinking in the bar. One of them was pouring a pint because the barman was too busy. The chef was also working on his own trying to manage. To be fair this pub should not be open for business, not enough staff. Very unprofessional. We were to book Christmas dinner for November but, I won't be going back until they get more staff and the refurb is complete.

Last time I went it’s not very good, but tried it today what a difference absolutely lovely. The food was cooked fresh and how you like it I had steak, hubby had fish and chips as usual @nd granddaughter had buttermilk chicken and mayo baguette. All light bites. You can tell it’s under new management keep it up will definitely be back

Absolutely amazing night in here my second ever visit and I will be back the staff was great, also the manager Martin was a fantastic host and made our night a good but messy one xx thanks again

We enjoyed a good meal (Cajun chicken, chips & salad) in lively surroundings. The food was hot, tasty and excellent value for money. The staff were friendly and efficient, and we hardly had to wait at all. In recent months, the owner/landlord has been making a big effort to make the pub more noticeable from the outside and has spent a lot of time and money to do so. He/she deserves to be successful. Definitely going back, to sample something else on the excellent value menu!

Very mixed reviews about this place. The most of the staff are very welcoming and are happy to help but two are bullys. The food was coming out fresh with the new cook and they sacked her because she asked for her wage as she was underpaid. Whether this is a mistake is unknown but to sack the best chef in that place because she asked for her wage and cos she opened the kitchen early to help business she was told to leave. Now it's nothing but microwaved crap.

As always lovely food and the owners are very friendly. Misty the visiting dog 🐶 makes it Extra nice

We found this this pub/restaurant after discovering that the restaurant we had booked at was closed for refurbishment. It was a sunny evening and there were many people sitting in the beer garden. We decided to eat inside which was quiet. We were seated at a table and then ordered our food and drinks.Our meals arrived in a reasonable time and the food was good. I had the steak and chips whilst my wife had the scampi. Our friends both had the pie & chips. Following our main courses we had desserts each which again were very nice. If we are in the area again we would certainly visit again.

We have been a few times, as we live locally. We always have a good welcome in a recently updated atmosphere, changes to the local surroundings have made the pub a more friendly and family oriented place.

We go every Wednesday for the Curry Night, the food is always excellent, served very quickly and very good value for money. Staff are very friendly and can't do enough for you. Would highly recommend a visit.

We are grandparents came here ended up with young drug fuelled clampits causing trouble with us but worse still the landlord is off his head on cocaine ! Absolutely shocking

Thought we would give it a try. Great value for food and big breakfast. Staff are great, toilets clean. Had an evening meal there few things wrong, but didn't care because still tasted good and great value for money.

First visit after passing it by for a good year. Glad we stopped in! Friendly bar staff, quick service and good quality food. It just so happened kids eat free on a Wednesday so that was a bonus!

Popped in as a last minute decision for lunch with a friend on Friday 1st February and was not disappointed. Lady behind bar was quick to serve us and friendly. We both chose from the lighter bites menu. I had the 5oz gammon for £3.95, such good value. Got our meals quickly. My gammon was really tasty, no fat and that lovely chargrilled taste to it. Plenty chips, peas, perfect fried egg and a bit of fresh side salad. I enjoyed every bite! Nice atmosphere and cosy fire on. Will definitely be going back very soon!

We stopped by to kill some time while visiting family. The service was great! The staff were helpful and friendly. The food on the lighter bites menu was plentiful and tasty. When we are back in the area, we wouldn’t hesitate to go back there again

Went here for a birthday lunch. The food overall was fine as was service. My mushrooms were a little overdone and hard to cut into. Not sure about the external colour scheme of purple but that does not affect the food etc.

As I live locally I thought it would be nice to have a Sunday breakfast at this pub last week (They have just started this again), on the plate two bacon, two sausage, two hash browns, two eggs (Done just the way I like them) tomato, beans and mushrooms topped off with two nice slices of toast plus a nice cup of coffee, great value and well worth a visit especially after the night before. Good stuff! Sid

My wife and I paid a visit on Sunday afternoon for a meal and I must say for the price you pay it is very good no complaints at all with the food and also the staff are. really friendly and very helpful will definitely go back

Two of us visited the Beaumont which is nearby to have something to eat as we had seen the sign outside advertising food. We arrived at 7.35 on Thursday evening. We had just sat down and picked up the menu from the table when a man shot over and said food stopped being served at 7.30pm sorry. Firstly it was only 5 minutes after that, secondly the menu's should not have still been displayed on the tables and thirdly above all he should have been more polite. His customer service skills were very very poor. It has made the decision that I will not be visiting this place again. The board outside should also reflect the serving times of food. I did notice that there were very few people inside, if this is the attitude of the staff they will find that people will not visit. Unfriendly.

The Pub was clean and tidy, service very good,the food was good value and excellent I had a mixed grill and my husband a gammon steak. I asked for my steak on my mixed grill blue and it came exactly as I asked.

We had often passed this place but never ventured in. From the outside it appears a little hidden from the road. Inside the decor is up to date and inviting.

Visited here with my partner and her 3 year old. Place itself is fairly nice, prices are quite reasonable.

Arranged to meet friends for lunch at 11:30, website states open 11-11. On arriving pub shut so sat on table outside when a male member of staff informed us not open till 12,

My family like to try a few different pubs for food and decided to try this place for the first time. As soon as we sat down, we were advised that there was a slight delay for food as a big family had just come in. We ordered drinks and food and sat down. Staff were all polite and conscientious, even asking if we were happy for the door next to us to be open because the bar was slightly warm (it was a hot day!) The food came out quicker than expected and was cooked really well and staff were attentive to everyone in the pub. Would definitely return and a huge thank you to Martin who served us and was clearly working very hard that evening.

Turned up on a Friday evening at 7.45pm to be told it was quiet and not serving food, this is the second time this has happened to us! Ridiculous they advertise serving food! Won’t be going for a third time!!

The same themes as others like this so it becomes boring after the 100th even if the 50 shades of grey are slightly different.

Food was undercooked, food cold. Observed staff drinking whilst serving and manager was oblivious to everything, seemed to have had a few drinks himself. Felt very uncomfortable. WILL NOT BE VISITING THIS ESTABLISHMENT AGAIN

Popped into the Beaumont for something to eat with a few friends. Ordered the mains but forgot to order the deserts. Asked if we could order deserts really quickly and was quickly thrown back a huff that somewhat resembled that of a dying horse, and a mutter under the breath that was definitely purposely loud enough to hear "ugh I've got customers to serve!". As far as I am aware, i am classed as a customer as I am exchanging money over the counter for a product, or has the definition recently changed and I am just not aware? The man behind the bar was acting like he was three rows deep at the bar, but there where about 3 people in total waiting. I mean I've only been working in the resteraunt / hospitality industry for the past 14 years so it's not like I'm a professional or anything, but I do think the term "running around like a blue bummed fly" was a bit of an understatement. The pub should really reconsider their training approaches when tackling the customer service module.. I'll not be returning until they inevitably change hands again.

we came here for mothers day and surprised they had taken out some seating and put in a pool table , what surprised us more there was not a lot in to say it was a special day

Saw the New Year in at The Beaumont. There was a live band on, playing rock music, with a few unexpected variations (Long Train Running, Wicked Game), and they were decent enough. Seen better, but I’ve certainly seen far worse.

After shopping at nearby Asda we called in to the Beaumont after several years absence to see if they offered light lunches. The menu offered a wide range of dishes which included a light bite menu I choose the Ham eggs and chips whilst my wife had the vegetarian tartlet with chips. We were served with free coffees as they had the offer for Asda customers leaving the store which was appreciated. With my favourite real ale Hobgoblin being on tap I made a note to call in here more often.

To be honest wasn't expecting much based on previous reviews however the menu was something along the lines if a wetherspoons pub. We had the Buttermilk Chicken burger with sweet potato fries and the xl chicken burger with chips and they were great for the cheap price cooked and presented well. In fact I was so surprised and pleased I spoke with the owner and told them so! They were also really attentive with the service as well.

Food was very reasonably priced. Good choice. Quick, efficient friendly service. Will definitely visit again.

No he comido aquí por un tiempo y debido a una reunión después del trabajo decidí tomar un bocadillo. No puedo conseguir un sándwich solo. . . . . Así que optamos por un bagel. Vino tibio con lo que parecía un pedazo de Queso derretido por todas partes y el jamón no estaba ni corte para encajar el bagel. Horno seco patatas fritas realmente casi quemados. Sin guarnición de ensalada. En verdad, si no sirven comida decente, entonces alcanzarás sirve bebidas. Definitivamente no sería revombend

Peor que el infierno. Olía a excrementos tan pronto como entré en. Cuando llego la comida estaba tibia y sabía mal. Cuando pedí una jarra de agua, nos dijeron que no había jarras. Nunca venir aquí.

Tan pronto como entré por la puerta, me sentí incómodo al instante como todo el personal del bar se miraban a nosotros y nos reímos. Una mujer joven en particular en el bar era muy grosero y incomodo.

Mucha variedad. La comida era adorable que comí patatas fritas pescado y guisantes. Estaba fresco y era delicioso para comer.

Easy parking. A very welcoming pub. Early meal on a Saturday evening although not very full it had a good atmosphere. John the barman was friendly with general welcoming banter...We had garlic bread starter, which was very tasty and enjoyable...followed by sirloin steak, chips, onion rings, tomato..cooked to perfection.The merlot wine seemed to be of very good quality.Table service by John brought things to the table quickly..I would recommend if in the area.

We must of been unlucky, as the lunch was poor.The chef did offer something else but we declined. We will at some point try it one more time.

Visited this week for the first time since the refurbishment and OMG I could not believe what they had done to the exterior of the pub. What a ghastly colour (purple). Makes it look tacky. If you need to give directions to someone just tell them to keep driving till they see a purple pub, you don't need to name the actual pub because they wouldn't be able to miss it. Thank God other surrounding pubs have a good eye for style. Also I don't see the point of tearing up the numerous trees that they have in front of the pub. It seems unnecessary and sad, the area now looks barren. Onto the inside and yes it looks ok but is nothing special. On the plus side, i could not fault the service, staff were friendly and helpful and the quality of the food was good. Not sure if I would return.

Not impressed. Ordered two meals for £14.00. After hearing a pingfrom the kitchen I saw our meals being brought out. I had asked for warm plates but this didn't happen . At this point we still had no cutlery, salt pepper of serviette.My husbands steak pie looked miserable on the plate and had chunks of gristle in it.The gravy was like water and the gravy jug was only a quarter full. Very disappointed and will not be returning in the future

From the minute you walk in the door you were made to feel very welcome. Was staying in the nearby hotel on business. Came across the Beaumont, Marston pub " thought to myself I have a Marston where I live in South Wales. The food should be spot on ", wasn't disappointed. Great food,beer and on the last night of my stay we played darts with the staff, great laugh. Thanks to John and Monday for making it a pleasant visit. Go visit and see for yourself.

Amazing staff always make you laugh all the time and get stuck in with you couldn't say a bad word about it. Big up for John the boss and Morgan the barmaid!!!!

Who on earth decided on the recent disgusting external colour. What an absolute eyesore. We live in this area and can only say it really brings down the tone of the area. We have dined here a few times but as a protest ..never again

we were very welcomed by john ,who made me a lovely cup of tea ,as I don't drink charlotte was very nice as well, they really put themselves out to make you feel at home .would recommend trying.. .the place was very very clean. which is a plus for me.. it felt comfortable and homely.. john is just right for running a place like this .happy all the time.

Went along after refurbished on family advice. nice place pity about time paintwork outside lol. New menu was studied and we all decided on different meals I had mammoth mixed grill wife had scampi daughter had Sunday roast burger thing lol and son had steak and ale pie all were served hot and quickly. good size portions but we all ate the lot no room for deserts this time but we all enjoyed it will visit again when in the area

My husband and I visit the Beaumont regularly ( him slightly more than me ) ;-) ... We have been in this afternoon / early evening after the pub has been closed due to refurbishments and the new look is fabulous !! Don't be put off by the purple exterior ( although I quite like it , I know it's not to everyone's taste ) !! The whole pub looks brilliant especially the bar area which looks very classy ... Reminds me of a town centre wine bar !! The new menu looks delicious ... So much choice and diversity :-) ! Always a warm welcome and the bar staff are fabulous!!! Hands down the best pub in the area !!

Called in for a pint on the way home. Currently 3 ales on - Lancaster Red, Pedigree and Ringwood Mauler which is a cracking pint served by the very affable John behind the bar

Typical pub/restaurant but better than most. Friendly staff, good food, good drinks, clean tables and good prices. Four people for lunch and all agreed that all courses were well prepared and well presented. We will be back

One of the best blue sirloin steaks ive had. For the money, its a treat! I have read some reviews and feel that they are unjustified. As the saying goes, you can't please all the people all the time! I however will certainly be back. Well done, keep up the good work.

We visited the Beaumont for lunch after shopping in the nearby ASDA.We had intended to call in to this pub for some time after only recently moving into the area, hoping it would be a potential "local".The building and interior were pleasant enough, and as the time was 1-45pm, not very busy, with only a few tables occupied. We found a table, perused the menu and chose our meals.I settled for gammon egg and chips, my partner ham egg and chips.After a short wait at the bar for someone to appear, our order was taken.Some 15 minutes later, the girl from the bar, who had taken our order, delivered our meals.My meal, although a little small, looked ok but at best was only luke warm.My partners, much the same.After tasting the ham my partner said that it just didnt taste right.I tasted it and agreed. It tasted sour.My partner took it to the bar, explained the problem, and received no comment from the barmaid other than "Oh".She then took the meal presumably to the kitchen. After waiting for a while for someone to appear, my partner gave up waiting and returned to our table.We took our time finishing our drinks but still no one appeared either to our table or behind the bar. We left.I wrote on two occasions to Marsdens, who own the Beaumont, explaining the problem, and after some three weeks since writing, they still havent bothered to respond!We read that some 25 pubs per week are closing in the U.K.I wonder why?

Cannot recommend this lovely place enough, staff were lovely and the assistant manager (john i think his name was) was a pleasure to speak to, we discussed our possible wedding and nothing was too much trouble! 5* we will definitely be back!

Lovely meal , steak was perfect and my daughter loved her fish and chips... lovely welcoming staff. Will be back for sure :)

Six of us went for lunch lovely clean place, I had steak was beautiful with onion rings my dad had fish and chips the fish was hanging off the plate other people in the party had mixed grill ,hunters chicken all well cooked and plentiful. Very reasonable and lovely service with a smile

On our way back to our hotel we went into ASDA to pick up a few things and decided to stop for a mealPub was very busy and noisy which is far enough but the music volume was turned up and down like the volume switch was attached to a violinist elbow one minute you had to lip read the conversation next minute you could hear every wordAlso I know that smoking e cigarettes is not banned in pubs but when you are trying to eat it is very off putting We did mention it to the waitress and was told in a shirty manor that until its banned they can do it as much as the customers wantMeal very basic and not very good value Would not go back their again

Called in for lunch early December.It had always been good, the 2 for £10 gammon especially. We had even recommended it to friends. It is not the same, the meals seem to be cheaper. The gammon now is so small you could not see it under the small fried egg. My food was very poor. Hubby had the brunch and said it was okay. Very disappointed as it was handy when we shopped at the local Asda.

On arriving I ordered a brunch without meat, my colleague wanted the meat thus we asked that they be on a separate plate, the mushrooms and tomato be on the meat free plate. My tomatoes were touching the meat. I pointed this out and the girl said well I wasn't aware and you didn't tell me . Then said they would cook fresh, wow large mushrooms and tomatoes cooked in less than 3 minutes including the walk back to the kitchen . Could not eat as obvious they were the same ones. Won't be going again....

My wife and I,together with our Mancunian friends had pre-booked the festive menu. On arrival we were immediately shown to our well decorated table. Our starter was served straight away and was superb. The main was served very quickly-again it was lovely. Then the desert came-quickly and was great. Altogether a very pleasing lunch served by extremely attentive staff. WELL DONE.

The food was delicious and reasonably priced, and the staff couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. Even though we went on a Sunday lunchtime it wasn't too busy or noisy. There's a nice vegetarian choice and also options for people with a small appetite. Will definitely be going here again.

Went with a friend for lunch , on arrival it was very warm and inviting ( just left an eating establishment without ordering as it was so cold inside) the gardens were immaculate as was the pub and restaurant , we sat near the log fire which was artificial but looked and felt lovely , the decor was light and airy and also tasteful , we ordered at the bar and the waitress was lovely and friendly she brought our hot drinks over within minutes and they were actually hot unlike other places which are lukewarm ! The food followed later ..not to long that you get fed up of waiting (although a member of staff even came over to tell us it was on its way which was nice) and not too soon for you to think it had been just pinged in a microwave . We both had a mixed grill which we both thoroughly enjoyed a good piece of steak, gammon , chicken , a sausage, an egg , a tomato , chips and peas ( just missing a mushroom) they were all cooked lovely and the steak and gammon had the griddle marks across them which we like , the only thing we could say which is slightly negative is that the chicken should be finished off on the griddle too as it was rather white and didn't look too appetising but nevertheless tasted ok but it would look a lot more appealing with a bit of browning to it . Overall a lovely enjoyable meal in nice clean pleasant surroundings and very reasonably priced too , I would recommend it highly :) well done the Beaumont :)

I've lived and breathed this pub over the years for 25 years .. Not been here for at least 5 years! Bar manager went above and beyond! We walked in and food service had finished, she put together some snacks and even offered a free bottle of Prosecco!! Happy days!! Great night!! Great pub as I remember it!! X X x thank you X x

Dont know if it was plaice but thefish and chips were excellent. My wife had prawns and baguette which were also first class. The lady in charge was friendly helpfull and efficient. Well done

We haven't been for awhile, the staff were very friendly and helpful. And the food was great, my niece really enjoyed the over 8's menu, normally a child's portion isn't enough and an adults to much, just the right amount for her

My wife and I called in at lunch time after shopping at Asda this was our first visit. The rooms were lovely and warm as was the welcome from both ladies on duty. Only about a dozen in so didn't have long to wait for our meals. I had the small gammon egg etc and apart from the chips being of the frozen type [ they were still good] I thoroughly enjoyed mine , the wife had fish chips and mushy peas and enjoyed it but had had better. We will certainly be back, the wife will probably try someting else off the extensive menue.It's definately a place to try.

Called into this pub first time before visiting nearby asda store.i was pleasantly surprised with the nice decor inside.the music was playing tunes,and there was a nice modern looking fire open to both sides.everything was nice and clean and some tables to the back had cushions.we ordered some meals and drinks.they were very nice,and at a good value price.also the staff were very pleasant and chatty,as I live 40 miles away,I will go out of my way to visit their again,and visit national trust at rufford hall enroute.

We recently had a meal and drinks and can not thank the staff enough for the service we received. Food was brought quickly and was of a very high standard, very tasty unlike some other local establishments. Will definitely return in the near future. Thankyou everyone and keep up the good work

Been for meals before, but not for a good while. Good menu with different things to the norm for a change. Well looked after by the staff.Give it a try as it was great food at very reasonable prices.

All the staff at the Beaumont are in one word. Fantastic! Having been away for several weeks due to a family bereavement I went and called in for my usual social.... I was so warmly welcomed with open arms and my usual tipple was awaiting... It was like I had never been away...Always a warm welcome.... Thank you to all you wonderful staff at the Beaumont.... My wife and I together with our Mancunian friends paid our first visit to the Beaumont. When we arrived, the on-line menu was not available! ( Taken over by Marstons ).As it happened the new menu was better and great value for money. We all enjoyed our meals and the service was first-class and extremely caring!! Keep it up.

Me and my friend visited the beaumont at lunchtime on friday thinking it was a nice place to go after shopping at asda. There where only two other couples in which made it look a bit ominous to us but we decided to stay as the surroundings whete nice. We went to the bar and ordered our drinks. I wanted a bitter lemon and soda they didnt have any so i had to have orange juice. My friend ordered a plaice fish and chips. I ordered steak and ale pie. We sat down to wait and they arrived within about 5 minutes we thought thay was a bit quick really. My pie was marstons steak and ale and when i tried to cut it my knife bounced off , the pastery was rock hard. The waitress cwme and asked us if we enjoyed our meal wr had just started so i showed her the pie with the hard pastery. The manageress came over and asked me if i would like another meal or another pie. I thought if the pie wasnt going to be rock hard i would have another pie. When it came it had been done in the microwave with a cup of water to stop the pastery from going hard as the managerss had said. Cant say i was impressed with the beaumont wont be having anothet trip.

Great value and you can't fault the service. We had 4 meals, 2 desserts and 6 drinks all for under £35. Will be coming again!

We hosted a baby shower at the Beaumont it was amazing the service was amazing the land lady went above and beyond to help us set up and waited on us hand and foot. We had a buffet provided by the kitchen which was very good and was plenty enough for the number we ordered for!! We enjoyed ourselves so much that we stayed after the baby shower was over for tea which we ordered off the standard menu which again was very good food. On the whole an excellent experience with the Beaumont and all the staff and especially the land lady

Friendly staff and enjoyable fish and chips . The bar staff were also very attentive . Very relaxed and nice surroundings. Would definitely call again for a midweek meal .

The place was clean, the staff friendly and helpful BUT my son and wife had fish and chips and both suffered from a bad stomach the next day and the common denominator was the fish. We suspect it had been frozen and possibly not defrosted properly. It may well be worth avoiding that particular item on the menu.

We have been here in the recent past and had a fairly decent meal.Sunday was not the same. It was more the lack of service that was the problem.After ordering were told that there was a 20 minute wait for food - I wish! We ordered an extra with the meal but they said they didnt have the onion rings. So we said substitute for something else.40 minutes later a platter arrived, we were quite amazed that for £2 we got a platter with mushrooms, wedges, wings and garlic bread arrived. So we ate it thinking they had overcompensated for the lack of onion rings and slow service.Maybe not. Maybe they gave us someone else's platter from a table nearby because the waitress was new.The Thai two way burger should have had a breaded fillet plus chicken strips on. It arrived with just strips - half the burger it should have been.The scampi didnt come with tartar sauce on the side but a separate bottle with the condiments which should have been refrigerated once open but hadnt been. Resulting in blob of 'off' sauceThe place wasnt even busy to make the service so slow.Won't be going again

Called in to have our sunday tea-chose from the 2 for £10 -meals.These were very good-portion size ample & food well cooked & hot.Good value for the price.Pub very quiet-only complaint is that food is only served until 7pm which we did not realise as we only arrived at the venue at about 6.50 pm & had we not read the notice at the bar would have just ordered our drinks & took our time to decide on our food choice-then would have been disappointed at missing the food order deadline-perhaps extending it to 8 pm would be better.Nevertheless the meal was faultless & service friendly & attentive.Would definitely call again.

Turned up out the blue to find this little gem. The welcome was most pleasant, the beer good and the food great, especially the 'Smothered Chicken' that my wife was unable to finish due to the size of the portion. I duly obliged in emptying her plate and can testify that it was delicious!
