They do not serve food. Apparantly they have not served food for 5 years. Think the website needs updating

Booked with 4 friends, most of us in our late 50's and 1 couple mid sixties. Booked hotel due to close proximity to town centre as one of our party lost a leg in Afghanistan fighting for his country. The rest of us all work for the NHS and this was our first break together since the pandemic 2 days before we were due to arrive we had an email off the hotel saying they were cancelling our stay as they do not accept group bookings,I must admit we we're all flabbergasted, and the manager claimed she tried to phone us on several occasions to tell us not to come as we're obviously trouble makers(nobody phoned). We are all now out of pocket as we had already payed for a bus and we couldn't find any other rooms on the date we wanted. So if you are middle aged and fancy a trip to weston AVOID this petty hotel as they will ultimately let you down. THEY OBVIOUSLY DONT SUPPORT THE NHS OR THE DISABLED..

This pub is local to me, although I would not take my partner there it is a good honest local pub, and handy when waiting to pick up a takeaway. They serve local real ale, but sadly only fizzy cider.

Went here with Family, very accommodating as we had about 10 people. Drinks and snacks fairly priced. Its a traditional pub with a hotel attached, no need to dress up, place for people to have a drink and a chat.

Having recently started working in Weston, the Bear Inn was the obvious choice to stay being a 1 min walk to my place of work and 2 min walk to the beach. There is parking available although I never had to use it as parked at work. I stayed for the one night in room 22 which was on the ground floor with access via a side door so didn’t have to enter through the main pub area. The room was a double, it was clean and tidy and had tea/coffee making facilities, a TV, toilet with sink and shower, towels were provided. The shower was powerful with instant hot water, the bed was a little too soft for my liking but was comfortable nonetheless. The cost during peak season for 1 night was £69 through a well known hotel booking app so cheaper then other places being advertised. Breakfast was not an option but being there is a cafe at the Tropicana a 2 min walk away I didn’t find this an issue, a further 3 min walk and you’d have many other options in the town center, there were however two bar areas for drinks and snacks and a skittle ally, with free WiFi available. The Inn is also dog friendly. I would definitely stay there again.

The pub is just off the seafront and seems to mostly attract locals, but friendly enough. There are rooms upstairs. Real ale is served, and Thatchers cider, but no real cider.

we popped in on Saturday evening. The beer was well kept and well priced. The music was deafening, but well played. The décor and furniture is pretty terrible, especially the back room, which could be the ugliest room I've ever been in. This place has so much potential - it could be a great pub but no thought has been given to the layout and the general state of the place. But my, it could be great.

We arrived to find that we had booked a room in a pub with no breakfast. As it turned out it was fantastic, the room was spotless and bedding changed 3 times in the Mon-Friday stay. The owners were fantastic and welcoming and socialised with their customers. Also the locals were extremely welcoming and friendly. Would visit again and recommend to anyone.

I've been here a few times with friends as the music is played very quietly so it's easy to chat. It's not busy during weekday afternoons though I understand that they get a big crowd on Sundays when they offer live music. Prices are reasonable and the regulars are friendly.

No bin in the bathroom and the shower had no hot water - on the plus side the staff were friendly and helpful.

I have stayed above this pub a few times and each time I have received with the most awkward, confused bar staff who are clearly not reception staff. I would seriously recommend that guests be taken to a quieter spot, or at least some quiet space on the bar counter to check in ...super weird checking in, answering a loooong list of questions about personal details, paying etc ... over a bar counter amidst a bunch of drinking strangers!!! Plus theres no reception, except when the bar is open ... which mean if yyou have any kind of need (like say a hair dryer - which is not available by standard in rooms) - you are basically on your own!

My family and I dined in the restaurant on a Saturday and Sunday night over the August bank holiday weekend. The menu is small but varied.I chose the curry and my wife the chicken pasta dish. Both were good sized portions and very tasty. My children also ate from the menu, and really enjoyed their food.MY wife and children also had a pudding which they cleared the plate..Because it was so good and friendly we returned on the Sunday night. My wife and children chose the roast dinner, the plates were full of good food. What was good for meI was that i was able to have a steak from the menu as I am not really a fan of Sunday dinners. The chef walks round and engages in conversation with the diners,Which is a nice touch. The service is friendly and the food was beautiful and fantastic value. The staff could'nt do enough for the kids.Overall the restaurant offers good food at very reasonable prices.

Within walking distance of the Parasol guest house on Walliscote Road, we found the restaurant at the back of the bar area by accident. They didn't ask for reservations, but the place was full by the time we finished our meal. There is a very good selection of dishes plus daily specials, and I warn you - the portions are huge. My husband had steak and chips, I had fishcakes and although we enjoyed the food, neither of us could finish our main course. Two choices on the pudding menu, walnut & coffee cake or ice cream bombe. Both very good. We saw various meals being served while waiting and we could not believe the portion sizes - all at very reasonable prices. Besides our meals, the lasagne & steak pie with mustard mash looked appetising. The waitress was friendly and efficient, serving freshly cooked meals with a smile. A real gem of a place to eat

Sunny day so we took advantage and sat outside and ordered drinks to the app at 2.50pm. Pint and vodka & orange. At 3.10 I went inside to see how long they would be drinks a rude tall woman with dark hair shouted at me ‘our screen is saying 25 mins can u see we busy’ no sorry just rude! So we decided to go and get served at the bar as there was no wait. We actually drank these then at 3.35 went to see where our drinks where that I ordered at 2.50! We eventually got them at 3.45. Then we ordered food which came within 15 mins. 👌Chicken bites were lovely! Garlic bread had no taste of garlic and the cheese chips lol see photo - what cheese. The female staff behind the bar need to learn how to use manners and SMILE. What a mirsable bunch. At least the male staff were friendly and welcoming. Won’t be going to this place again.

The dining staff completely ignored my presence, so much so that I had to get up and ask at the bar for the pudding to be served. Their either need to train their staff to look the part and act the part or give up. Breakfast the following morning was similar, I had three staff not 4 feet from my table discussing their shift patterns at the top of their voices. I should have got up and asked them politely to move their discussions away from the paying guests but I did not.

We visited at the end of September, the food was pleasant enough although service slow. Decided to visit again a week later and waited 50 minutes for a 3 ingredient side salad and a simple pasta dish. Both occasions resulted in receipt of £100 fines for parking on the premises yet at no time did staff or signage alert us to the need to register our vehicle. This is so careless on the staff's behalf, and has resulted in locals deciding not to use the venue - nobody would willingly add £100 to their light-lunch bill nor go through the hassle of appealing fines simply because staff can't be bothered to advise visitors. Alas, I have 2 fines (£200) on appeal and I am presently awaiting the outcome. No plans to visit again - why would I?
