Lovely, family run, dog friendly cafe. Good food, reasonably priced with friendly staff and great coffee. Will definitely visit again.

I am now a regular :) The best cafe I have ever been too, the coffee is amazing , the staff are super friendly and the dogs get a pup cup ! The cheese scones are divine and that biscoff cheesecake makes me drool just thinking about it lol !

Amazing cafe and food. The cakes are out of this world, all homemade and they cater for all dietary requirements. Nothing is ever too much bother.

We seem to be the exception here, yes the place is nice and welcoming, staff very friendly but the food was not great. We had a panini, cheese not even melted and a blt, which had weird precooked cold streaky bacon. Coffe was excellent though. Would revisit for the coffee but not bother ordering food again

We happened upon this lovely coffee shop and bakery during a recent visit to Plymouth. It was busy when we arrived and struggled for a table but this isn't a bad thing. The coffee (flat white & latte) was spot on and the food was also really good and artisan quality. This place was a really good find and I'd definitely be back if we ever visit Plymouth again.

Have purchased from here several times - both the cake slices and celebration cakes. Most of the time the cakes are great - light and fluffy, but have been two occasions where the cake was too sweet and did not taste very fresh (seems more of an exception), but will still be purchasing nonetheless.

The Chancel has been one of our favourite places to eat in Plymouth for many years. During Covid and a bit longer they’ve been delivering or preparing for collection. Without much thought or any foreknowledge we walked down this evening hoping it might up and running for their traditional bistro food and good wines. Very disappointed therefore to find it dark, empty and will a To Let sign. No hint that there might still be an online service. Pity and we’re sad. Many dozens of happy memories.
