I have a dairy intolerance and was served a meal with butter, slaw and mayonnaise after I had told them about my intolerance. The meal was taken away and I was served a Ham baguette with most of the meat inside being just fat and I found spread in the roll. The mustard turned out to be mayonnaise with mustard seeds in it. My family member asked for Fish and chips yet she was served Fish with French fries. I ended leaving the cafe completely disgusted and will never return.

My daughter and myself visited the Trowbridge garden centre today (Easter Monday) and had already decided to have tea and cake in the cafe attached. We were ignored for minutes as we waited to be served in this cafe, (the only two people waiting at the time ) then a lady with a pony tail finally shouted illegably to us, and without any eye contact, 'any hot drinks?'.She was clearly in a bad mood and flustered, and proceeded to drop and break some china. A blonde haired lady from the kitchen approached, ignoring us completely too , made some 'in house' comment to her as the china was swept up, and the first lady shouted again to us 'illegably and angrily 'any hot drinks?' I said I hadn't heard her, and she shouted 'I said 'ANY HOT DRI N KS?' l said how rude she was, and she looked startled for a minute, but my daughter told this person she can forget any order from us and we walked out. We did notice that other people going in immediately after us seemed to have this person's more courteous attention, so perhaps at least we made an impact on her about her awful manner. There's no excuse for awful manners to customers , whatever has happened in your day, and we will never return to this cafe , only to the garden centre which is really lovely.

This cafe is attached to the Garden Centre but seems to be an attraction on its own - on the day I went the cafe was nearly full but the Garden Centre was nearly empty. This cafe serves a large selection of traditional English dishes and the prices are reasonable. I chose cod, chips and peas with a cappuccino and got change out of £15. You order at the counter and the food is brought to your table. The place is clean and functional but it is not the last word in luxury. Well worth the trip but avoid peak times or you might be waiting for a table to become available.

Tea and coffees were lovely. The apple pie was a tiny slice and no cream to go with it. Meringue was better. Would visit again and try other things like a hot meal or sandwich etc. Liked looking around the garden centre too.

The staff are always friendly and go out of their way to meet customers needs. Yes, there are some leaks in roof but food is relatively priced and delicious.

I have just returned from the cafe with my elderly mother. On approaching the counter, the lady serving didn't acknowledge me at all. I asked for cake and with that she disappeared to the back and returned with trays I asked her for drinks and although my items were put in a tray, NOT once did she speak to me or smile. I asked her if it was possible for cream and she looked at me blankly. I said I would pay extra and asked for either double, whipped or squirty cream. This was to go in a slice of lemon meringue. She didn't answer, tipped the meringue into a soup bowl and went off to get the cream which was actually runny cream filling the bowl half way. It looked like soup!! I didn't know what to say. I paid and the ONLY time she spoke is when she asked if I wanted a receipt. I had to tip most of the cream onto my carrot cake. My mother's meringue was drowned! All in all, a very unpleasant experience, no customer awareness or service.

Lovely cafe in the garden centre, excellent food & drinks at very good price. Lovely staff, very helpful. I seen the comment below about the leaks, but the whole garden centre is the same type of roof like a green house, meaning expansion when hot/cold - leaks are definitely not there all the time. We will definitely be returning!

I took my Mother who is 90 for lunch after going around the Garden Centre. We had 1 Childs Beans on Toast for Mum and I went for the Ham and Tomato Sandwich, on looking around I could see that in at least 4 spots the Roof was leaking and in all 4 places had rain Water dripping into containers below, surly this is clearly not allowed as I’m sure there is some sort of bacteria building up around the Leakages. This needs to be addressed pretty quickly!! The Food arrived after a little wait, first thing my Mother said was that her Beans were stone cold and that her Toast wasn’t toasted but more like just warmed up Bread, my Sandwich wasn’t much better either with the Ham although very tasty...was cut into chunks so not to clever in the preparation, more care and attention needed there. In all we both said that we wouldn’t never go back with that team behind as counter, as there were very poor not only with just the Food itself but also the preparation.

This cafe is based within the Trowbridge garden centre. We stopped off for a cuppa as it was pouring with rain. They seemed to have a very extensive menu and seeing food brought out, it looked very nice. The tables were well spaced and seemed covid secure. Garden centre very nice too.

Very friendly welcome, food cooked while we waited - and not long at all to wait. Generous portions but not too much. Just well cooked and a decent cuppa.

Visited this place today and it was buzzing and it was good to see Order and pay for things at the counter and hot food appears to be done to order and bought to the tables, and whilst I did not try this all the food seemed to be good and fresh All types of things to suit various needs and requirements and also the tables are seating 2 or 4 people which is good Had tea and cake which was delicious Will be back again if I am back Not far from the centre of Trowbridge and has plenty of parking

Great little cafe nestled in nice little garden centre. Comfortable indoor seating and lovely outdoor seating area for sunny days. Good, efficient and friendly service. Value for money cafe food with daily specials. Had the cauliflower cheese chips and salad today which was excellent but usually go for a toastie or baguette both of which hit the spot.

Whenever we have visitors and want to go somewhere near to home for a light lunch, or a coffee, this is our first port of call. The food is always good, we've eaten "all day breakfasts", Ham egg and Chips, toasted tea cakes, and many other dishes, the food is on the whole very good, well cooked and hot. But - ham, egg and chips, is exactly that! However ask for baked beans / peas, or whatever and they will be provided at an extra cost. We have always found the staff to be friendly and helpful, the service, even when the place is busy is always slick, we never wait long for our food to arrive. It is nothing unusual to wait longer at the counter to place an order than it is for the food to arrive!!This review is for the cafe, but this is also one of the nicest small garden centres I've visited, not overly expensive, this is also the case with the cafe. At lunch times, especially at the weekend, this place is full to bursting - they must be doing something right!!

No he tenido una mala comida todavía. Los asados son preciosas, pero el bistec y el riñón pastel es para morirse. El personal es amable, educado y eficiente.

Met a friend for lunch recently. The menu is good for a garden centre café with simple choices in both hot and cold - the usual favourites, a range of sandwiches / baguettes, soups / salads and jacket potatoes with hot dishes e.g. ham, egg and chips / lasagne / cottage pie etc... as well as a specials board.

Have a lovely stay here with friends, booked a triple room. The room was spacious and very comfortable, we booked an evening meal here and the owner was very helpful with the Thai menu as I'm unable to eat spicy food and her recommendation was delicious ( pad Thai noodles with chicken). Lovely breakfast and the owners were very friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay again 👍

Wedding coordinators both amazing. Prompt and professional support and advice. Food was better than some Michelin restaurants I’ve been to. Five star quality; amazing service and would highly recommend. Venue went over and above what was necessary from free coffee to supporting external vendors and accommodation

Would just like to let people know how lovely our visit was her last week. We arrived just as breakfast was finishing but were still offered the service. The lady serving was incredibly friendly nothing was too much trouble. Excellent value for money and wide variety of choice.
