Went to Joels for afternoon tea. It was lovely and the waiter was very attentive. Service was very good. Sadly it was a cloudy day but we still had a good view across the bay. First visit and definitely not the last.

This is the 2nd time we have travelled to Joel's at the Bay for Sunday Lunch. The food is so tasty and good quality. We all had something different Pate, Prawn Cocktail, Mushrooms and Buffalo Wings for starters followed by lamb, belly pork and chicken for the mains. The Yorkshire Pudding and veg are delicious too. A special mention about the staff, they are friendly, helpful and efficient. All in all another great visit. We will be back.

Had Sunday lunch, I had roast beef which included huge, tasty Yorkshire, fresh veg including tenderloin stem, cauliflower cheese, roast & mash potatoes. The beef was very tender and plenty of it, my wife's shoulder of lamb she thought was excellent. The price is reasonable and staff very polite and helpful. We had a nice table with a view of the sea, so all in all a really enjoyable experience.

We've just landed home from a wonderful lunch at Joels (23/08/24 lunchtime), and we had a cracking meal. The gal serving was delightful, and the food was absolutely delicious... I had the Chicken Livers, Roasted Salmon and finished with the best Brownie (all from the main menu)... My friend had the Fish and Chips followed by Ice Cream (all from the lunch menu). We will most definitely be returning : -)

What a great visit to Joel’s. The service was top notch. We even saw one of the waitresses in full service recovery mode as another customers didn’t like what she ordered and her teeth could cope with the toast. A round of applause to her, great job. There were no complaints from us. I was only going to have 2 courses and had the calamari, which was on point. The Mrs had the pate (which I tried and this was excellent) and the youngest daughter had the tomato and mozzarella which was good if you like it (Not my thing but the daughter loved it) For the mains I had the Belly pork. I was bursting after eating it but I could have eaten it again, it was so good. The Mrs had the lamb shank ( I tried that as well) this was awesome and I had a little fomo. The daughter both had chicken. I was told this was great but they couldn’t finish it. Then onto dessert, 3 Sticky toffee puddings and all was good with the world. We’ll be back.

The food was nice and the menu had a large variety of options that would suit going with almost anybody including vegetarian and vegan options. Lots of televisions to watch sport as this restaurant is also a pub. The food was a little expensive. The staff were helpful and the food took a little while to arrive but not too long. The fish and chips was a little to crispy for me but other members of my group enjoyed and it is all down to opinion. Enjoyed all the meals. Would certainly consider revisiting if I return to Fleetwood.

My mum and I like to travel to different venues around the Fylde for Sunday lunch. This one did not disappoint. We had a lovely 3 course lunch for less than £25 each which we thought was very reasonable. I had a traditional prawn cocktail, roast lamb dinner with plenty of veg and a dish of cauliflower cheese ( included in the price), followed by tart au citron. Lovely setting with a nice view of the sea. The staff were attentive and pleasant. We will definitely return.

Hands down the best meal I've had for a long time. Hubby had fillet steak which was cooked to perfection and I had the belly pork, which was unreal, it literally fell to bits. It came with a delicious sauce / jous and the creamiest mash I've ever tasted. The decor is really classy and the staff were lovely. Expensive but so worth it 👌 about time Fleetwood got somewhere this nice.

We stayed at the North Euston on Christmas eve and Christmas day. The room and the hotel staff were great. We would happily stay again. We had a meal on Christmas eve evening that was nothing short of beautiful. All six of us thoroughly enjoyed it and on the strength of this we were all looking forward to Christmas day lunch. Now we really do not like criticising and doing people down but we have to this occasion because this needs saying. Christmas day lunch unfortunately was awful. The three sprouts were tiny and soggy. The two or three baby carrots were of similar terrible quality to the sprouts. The mash and roast potatoes were nothing special and looked just the same as the white anemic parsnip. The gravy was salty which spoiled even more what was an awful meal. There was a large helping of turkey with a dried out massive chunk of stuffing and a couple cheap tasting little pigs in blankets. You needed twice the amount of veg to compliment the amount of turkey. Then, just to cap it off the whole thing was lukewarm at best. Add to that that everything was rushed and there you have it. It was easily the worst Christmas lunch I've/ we've ever had and for £72 it was shocking. This is an accurate and true account of exactly how we found this Christmas lunch, my wife and I just picked at ours it was so bad. We had also paid £17 a head for the evening Christmas buffet. This was even worse than the Christmas lunch!!! There wasn't a sandwich in sight. You were "treated" to some salad on its last legs, sad pork pies, cheap sausage rolls, quiche and a couple of other tasteless bits. There were little cakes, they were ok. If I'd have done a buffet like that at home I would have been thoroughly ashamed of myself. This really was a poor man's buffet if there ever was. I say again, we loved the hotel and would stay again and eat there again BUT never again for Christmas day lunch. Sorry Euston, you need to do far better than that.

There were 11 of us so we pre-ordered our meal from the usual menu. The service was rapid and smooth making us feel welcome. Dishes were removed only when everyone had finished their course and any special wishes were dealt with swiftly and without fuss. The chef is new but all our courses were tasty, well prepared and hot. The chips were exceptional. One of us had the butternut squash risotto, which the guest found okay but rather too much liquid. All in all can recommend.

Called in for lunch today, we stood by the sign saying ‘wait here to be seated’ and waited, and waited, and waited, a member of staff walked past us several times without speaking so the next time she went past I caught her attention and we said we would like to sit at a table outside, she just said ok.We sat at a table and waited, and waited, and waited for over 15 minutes, that was enough, we left and went to the Granada, which was excellent!Hopefully the manager of this establishment will read this review and have a word with their staff as this is unacceptable, the place was half empty so no excuse there either.Appalling that any establishment would act in this way, all it would have taken would have been for a member of staff to say ‘I’ll be with you as quickly as I can’ and all would have been fine but they could not be bothered to even say that.No wonder this place has such poor reviews.

Atrocious service in the restaurant. Booked for 5:30 so we could get in and out quickly, and ended up not getting out until 7:30. Had to repeat our order several times to have it taken. Dinner in a half empty restaurant took an hour to arrive. We were offered the next round of drinks for free due to the delay, but then never had our drinks order taken. We were then offered free desserts instead. After being given 5 menus and having our order taken, we were then informed only the 2 kids desserts would be free, presumably due to the manager who was lurking about but solving nothing over ruling the offer that was made when it came into the kitchen (but not in person). Finally when the bill came it included 4 drinks which were not ours. It's a shame to see what was once the finest place in the area run into the ground like this. The food was good when it arrived, but having two goodwill gestures made and then rescinded was appalling. Avoid.

My wife and I took the tram from Blackpool all the way up to Fleetwood to see the coast. When we arrived we were looking for a place to have a quick coffee to warm up with. We say the North Euston hotel and gave that a try. We found the Victoria Bar and seated ourselves at on of the windows to enjoy a lovely view of the Sea. We had our cappuccinos and decided to have a cocktail. My wife ordered a specialty gin with lemonade and I ordered a cocktail the bartenders were unfamiliar with. So I just took a simple drink thinking nothing of it. Well after I finished my cocktail the special cocktail I ordered showed up at the table for free. The bartenders figured out how to make it, went to the kitchen to get certain ingredients they did not usve behind the bar and wanted to practice making this drink incase anyone else ever asked for it. At this pointed we decided to stay for supper. I ordered the teadiyiondl prawn cocktail to start with the scampi dish as my main. My wife took the homemade burger. Everything was great. For dessert we shared the banoffee pie and again this was delicious. Nice place with great staff and good food. If we come back this way we will definitely be heading back and I will order my cocktail again.

This has clearly been an important hotel in its time and I’m sure it serves the locals well. We had a pork and beef barn cake (roll) served with skinny fries. Probably not the most exciting thing on the menu but the quality was extremely poor. Meat almost unrecognisable in taste. The next table had ordered fish and chips which looked much more appealing. Toilets are incredibly dated and were still showing posters for a wedding fair which was held in February! No excuses for that.

This was my 3rd time to the bay for my birthday celebration, unfortunately, this time it was not good. We both started with the chicken liver brandy pate served with toasted brioche. The pate was in a quenelle and it was grey and not very appealing the side garnish was okay and the chutney was okay. We then both had the loin pork roast. Three thin slices of pork the good points the vegetables were good, bad points the roast potatoes were cold and seemed to be old. The mash potato was tasty but again cold. The desert pecan pie with ice cream which was ordered came with custard and had a burnt taste. I ordered the cheese and biscuits then as it was extremely hot decided to have the ice cream which were the very cheap style yuk so reordered the cheese and biscuits don't know when Stilton and Brie became Lancashire cheeses but ha ho. All in all, not a great experience so sorry have decided to give it a miss and find somewhere else to celebrate my birthday.

The kitchen was also dealing with a wedding party but the staff continued to be pleasant. On both occasions we would have benefitted from a second waiter visit after serving the food basically to ask if the meal was satisfactory as we could have order additions without have to draw the attention of the staff. We did not get a wine menu which would have assisted. Although we saw the restaurant menu we chose from the bar food menu as it appeared to have greater choice although being dearer than the fixed two or three course menu. This review relates to the lunchtime bar snacks served at The North Euston, not the restaurant. My wife and I ate in the bar last week, and it was ok, but rather ordinary. In such an interesting, historically important building we were expecting much more.Service was unimpressive, there was no eye contact or greeting from the barman. We just had a quick snack of half a bitter, and J2O, an egg and bacon bap and a roast beef sandwich, for which I paid £13 (with a tip). The food was slow to arrive (others who came in after us seemed to be served before us, but they if they were residents they may have pre-ordered I suppose), this gave us time to notice the untidied tables and slightly down at heel appearance of the whole bar area. On a positive, when the food did arrive it was fine and the beef in particular was good. What a shame, we wanted to like the North Euston and it should be the jewel in Fleetwood's crown, but it's just ordinary with nothing to tempt us back.

Dropped in following walk along the prom to find The Bay sea view room temporarily closed for refurbishment (due to reopen later this week we were told) but fortunately relocated to a room, equally pleasant but without sea view, at the back of the hotel. Service was very friendly and efficient and the coffee excellent. Becoming a favourite stop when in the area.

Something missing with the euston! Such an iconic building so was expecting more! Staff looked scruffy and were a little bit to forward with their "banter" for me! 1 member of staff was delighted to find £20 under a table and felt the need to share how happy he was with his colleagues even though i could hear every word! Little bit unprofessional for me as they should surely of handed it to a manager! After tea i did went to reception to book a room for the upcoming weekend for my mum and dad! It was their 50th wedding anniversary! Spoke to a lovely young lady who gave me a price for the hesketh suite. (Best room in the hotel) Was a little expensive but thought these things only happen once! The young lady however said that if i wanted a better deal i should go home and book it via booking.com as it was roughly £20 cheaper! I said great and did so! I left a note on the booking form that i wanted the hesketh suite as she had told me to do so so she would know it was us booking it. I then went in to pay a day or two later as payment could be mad in cash! When i got there because i was in my work stuff! Scruffy fleece, workman pants and wellies the receptionist looked me up and down and carried on with her PERSONAL phone call! Great i thought!I then proceeded to give her my booking number and said i was here to pay the balance. She the told me that i had not booked the hesketh suite and it was nearly £30 more if i wanted it! I spoke to a manager who was more interested in telling me he was in charge than listening to what i was saying! He spoke over me and wasnt very helpful! I told him the situation of what i had been told to do and he turned round and said that wasnt true as he would never let his staff say that! Even if she was new to the hotel! As he wasnt there at the time i said how can you be sure which he replied with a load of bull about commission he pays booking.com. He also squeezed £15 extra out of me for the room as a good will gesture!A few days later i returned to pay the balance again as i had to cancel it via the website and found a new young lady being trained up! Not confirmed but im guessing they sacked the original young lady rather than maybe providing more staff training! If so i am sorry for possibly getting you fired as you were genuinely trying to help me. Since this experience is have not revisited and probably wont do! Very poor standard of service The 50th wedding anniversary however went without a hitch and everyone was happy not that we told our mum n dad what had happened!

Being new to the area and wanting some real Fleetwood Fish & Chips we had booked a table, though not it seems strictly necessary, so we could be near a window and get the views as we ate. Unfortunately, whilst the restaurant played their part, the weather didn't and the mist spoiled the view but the food and friendly service more than made up for it.We all shared a cheesy garlic bread starter followed by the fish, chips and peas. The chips were home-made, crisp on the outside yet fluffy in, the peas were proper mushy peas and not just the over-boiled marrow-fats some establishments call mushy but the star of the show was without doubt the fish - lovely and meaty with a crisp batter. Everything was piping hot (almost too much so) and served up by a waitress full of natural Lancashire friendliness. The venue itself is looking a little past it's best or it would have got a five-star rating but don't let that put you off. We've already booked our next sea-view table!

My wife took an elderly friend for afternoon tea along with our daughter. She was not impressed. The sandwich was a minimal effort with a dried up scone with no cream. The sponge was shop bought and no imagination. She complained and got it half price. Would definitely have preferred for it to be right first time. The whole thing lacked effort and imagination. It's not hard to get right but this was so wrong.

Very old very large Victorian hotel that caters well for a range of clientele.. Nice bar with good range of beers and a very full and varied menu.. Excellent steaks cooked to perfection though the steak and ale pie on the table near me looked equally appealing.. Good food, good beers, good service and very good value for money Would we revisit = Yes Would I recommend = Yes

Ate from the bar menu three times. One time was the Sunday Carvery. This was very satisfactory except for the broccoli. When will Brits learn how to do broccoli properly?! The other two times I had the fish platter with a side of chips. First time, on a Saturday, really good. Second time, on a weekday, I had to complain. Salad was poor, chips were yesterday's McDonald's, and I got a shrimp cocktail instead of just shrimps. Seems a bit of a lottery

This restaurant is very peaceful and serves decent food. It is a nice and spacious, slightly old fashioned but nice. Most of the customers were pensioners, in fact I think we were the youngest there. It's reasonably priced and very pleasant. They were many different things on the menu. I had a lovely a poached salmon salad. I would go again.

I have recently returned from a 2 night stay at the North Euston Hotel on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis. The room we had was good and so were the breakfasts but the two evenings meals I had were awful. On the Sunday I had what was described on the menu as roast beef with yorkshire pudding. The portion of beef was edible but the rest of the meal wasn't. However the meat did appear to be pot roasted and not carved off a roast joint. The roast potatoes were burnt and almost impossible to get a knife into. The whole plate of food was barely warm. The vegetables for two of us consisted of a tiny dish with some over cooked broccoli, some pureed veg which could have been carrot and a tiny spoonful of tasteless, over cooked red cabbage. When I complained I was offered another meal but didn't want one as the vegetables would have been no different. At the end of the meal the waiter admitted to my friend that the food wasn't up to standard. If you know this is the case why send it out to a customer? When asked he said that there would be a different chef on Monday evening and things would be better.Oh how wrong that comment was!On Monday evening I chose the chicken chasseur. This came as a piece of chicken in a bowl with some mashed potato and some very strange tasting sauce dribbled over it. I had my partner taste the sauce and he agreed that it tasted wrong. The chicken had not been cooked in the sauce which is what I would have expected. This time the vegetables were carrots and green beans. The green beans were the complete opposite of the vegetables on the first night. They were hard and under cooked this time. We called the waiter over and he took the meal away and I had a small portion of vegetable lasagne ( which was very nice|) instead although after a bad experience two days on the trot I was past wanting to eat anything. It is a great shame about the quality of the food that I was served as the hotel itself is great. I would visit again but I wouldn't eat in the restaurant again.

I had the roast beef dinner with all the trimmings and my husband steak and chips. I received a generous amount of roast beef and a variety of vegetables. The food was lovely and tasty. We followed this up with a chocolate torte and sticky toffee pudding, both yummy. The chocolate torte was light and not over facing after a large dinner. The staff were all friendly. Two of the members of staff were serving there 20 years ago when we had our wedding reception which was lovely to see.

My partner and I came up to Fleetwood on the tram from Blackpool and decided to go into the North Euston for our lunch. We both had the fish and chips as you can't go to the seaside for the day without having fish and chips. The fish and the chips were both nicely cooked with the bonus of a salad starter from the salad bar included in the price. The place is clean and tidy with cheerful staff. In fact, we liked the place so much we decided to book a two night stay for later in the year and did so before leaving to get back on the tram.

This is my second visit to the bay at North Euston, this time I was not impressed, the chicken liver pate had a cheesy after taste, but the plum chutney was good, brioche is too sweet to be served with pate. The main course of pork, came on a barely warm plate, with soggy stuffing and burnt roast potatoes, one small dish of vegetables between two people, and apple sauce that tasted as if it came out of a jar. The sticky toffee pudding was poor quality, but the redeeming feature was the butterscotch sauce. Not once were we asked how the meal was, people near us were asked if they wanted tea or coffee after the meal but we weren't.

An amazing historic building from 1700s, it is more like a cultural museum for Garstang than a pub. We were looked after by Ali (Alison?). We had a mushroom bourgunion pie, mac& cheese and some of the local alcoholic beverages. Good portions. Ali informed me that it gets very busy during the warmer days due to it's prime location. Clean throughout, a place to take your children to get them interested in history and learning. Pets are treated like VIPs. I would recommend.
