Family of 10. Where to begin. Mixed up veg and non veg samosas and my vegetarian wife ended up eating meat. Half hearted apologies, blaming each other - they didn’t really have a clue. We waited 1 hour for starters even through the restaurant was super quiet. Food was not great. Fish Amritsar slimy and bland. Chana Puri bland. Nan breads flat. Chilli paneer and paneer shashlik were identical. Tandoori chicken and aloo tiki were ok. No drinks menu. Left after Starters. Place is a joke.

The food was lovely the service outstanding , well worth a visit . We travel twenty miles to have a meal at this restaurant and it never disappoints ..

We have been here on many occasions, as a couple, with friends, family and business colleagues and have never been disappointed. Service is exceptional, nothing is too difficult. The food is delicious and the atmosphere great. I would while heartedly recommend this little gem down a country road!

The worst Indian meal I have ever had, I ordered vegetarian samosas and they gave me lamb which were still frozen in the middle, the waiter commented that they were lamb not vegetarian when he cleared the plate but didn’t even apologise, the curry was bland with cheap tasting chicken, the only good thing about it was the portions were very small. We had eaten there a few times before Covid and the food used to be very good.

Never fails to please. Every time we visit since The Barn reopened during the pandemic we have been delighted by the food and service. We have frequented this restaurant for many years although we did stop going when it changed hands and both food and service fell into an abyss. Now, since the new owners and team have taken over the standards have risen to former heights. It can take years to build a good reputation and a fraction of that time to destroy it. The Barn is gradually managing to show that high standards are again present and we wish them every success. Loved the food and the service tonight.

We frequently use the barn, as it’s local. Has been great over the years, but recently not been on form, but tonight, the food was absolutely perfect! Could eat the whole meal again it was so good! Whatever your doing, keep doing it guys!!!

So relieved that they having announced a closure it has re opened. The Staff remain as does the superb quality of food. If you enjoy Indian food you will enjoy the Barn.

At 8.0 pm on Sunday night we were the only customers. The Masala curry was so bitter it was inedible and was sent back. Really nice waiter who apologised for the food which he tested himself and agreed it was unfit. He brought a veg curry in its place. The starter was also a disappointment as the Puree was more like a large soft pancake than a delicate bread with the prawn sauce on top.

We had a fantastic delivery from here this evening. We ordered it and it came in half an hour. The food was fabulous and we will definitely be ordering from here again. Amazing 👏

Had an excellent takeaway from The Barn, all the food was delicious and it was delivered in a timely manner. I even ate the leftovers cold the next day and was still really tasty! Wouldn't hesitate to order again.

I have just ordered a takeout from the Barn, the delivery was on time, I ordered a lamb dish, this was fantastic, But my wife ordered the Butter chicken, this was terrible, the chicken was over cooked, definitely not fresh, it’s looks like they order pre cooked food in. Delicious Chicken Tikka Masala, Keema Mattar and Peshwari naans - delivered quickly and piping hot by very friendly chap. Generous portions and good value. Would thoroughly recommend if you fancy a takeaway that’s a cut above the usual.

We went for my wife's birthday on a Monday evening. The staff couldn't do enough for us and we were given the best service throughout the evening. They assisted us with food choices and their recommendations were spot on. The food was beyond impressive, some of the best if not the best indian food I've ever had. They even brought out a complimentary birthday desert for us to share. We've not been for a while, but will be returning and telling all our friends about it.

The worst Indian takeaway I have ever eaten. I’ll start by saying what was wrong… - The order arrived two hours after we ordered it ‘ASAP’ and they didn’t once call to say it would be delayed. - they sent lamb tikka instead of chicken...

This time it was a takeaway. Food was absolutely superb. Chicken Tikka Special, Lamb Tikka Special and Lamb Bhuna with rice, chips and nann. Generous portions and superbly prepared. Could not be better.

We were driving up and used the just eat app to order our food to be delivered to our destination. Arrived on time. Food was absolutely gorgeous. One of the best menus and excellent taste and quality. Great value

Like everywhere else, The Barn had to close its doors during the Covid-19 crisis. That was five weeks ago. On Thursday they reopened for takeaway and delivery and so we gave it a go. So very pleased, the standard was as high as ever and...

Nice greeting upon arrival and immediately shown to our table.Decor and ambiance were a class above aided by our very personable waiter Wahed.Drinks were served very swiftly whilst we perused the extensive menu.Choices made it wasn’t long before we were tucking in to some seriously tasty food opting to go for differing and generously proportioned curries.The services that we received by all of the waiting staff but in particular Wahed was superb and definitely added to a very enjoyable evening. I would definitely highly recommend this establishment for those looking for high quality food ,service in a very comfortable venue!Highly enjoyable all round.

This restaurant is now under new management and is great. The owner and staff are so friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is lovely and the food is excellent, lots of choices. If you can’t decide what to have they will happily recommend. Parking is easy, right outside, and we will definitely go again, we can highly recommend.

We visited this evening, a party of 4 adults and three kids, all with different opinions on what makes a good curry. The greeting was friendly and welcoming, service prompt and attentive, even encouraging my 14 year to "try something new". The food was excellent; tasty, varied and catered for all palates. Particularly good Naan bread, light and crisp not at all like the doughy super market impersonators.One area to think about; the lighting in the restaurant is a little harsh. Admittedly in the past I remember the lighting being a bit too subdued, verging on dark. Perhaps a happy medium can be found...I believe the restaurant has been taken over recently after a wobbly few years. On the back of this visit, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend and will be booking again.

This was our second visit and the meal was as good as the first time. We were a large group on both occasions and everyone enjoyed their meals. The service is very friendly, the curries were some of the best we have had.

Great food, great area, great restaurant and wonderful owners and staff. Take aways are fab too, they delivery promptly. Also had drinks in the bar and played darts with friends. A lovely place to spend the evening

We took some of our family who have come over from Australia to visit us. They were amazed at the friendly welcome, great service and brilliant food. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. It has recently been taken over by a new owner, who has worked there for many years. Please try it, you won't be disappointed

We went to The Barn for a birthday meal as a table of 12. The restaurant was quiet with only 3 other small tables in yet we waited in excess of an hour for food. We had to repeatedly ask for drink orders to be taken, the waiter didn't appear to know the menu when asked questions. Staff didn't communicate with us as to why we had such a wait for food, when a member of our party went to ask they were informed that it was because of completing deliveries - not really acceptable. When the food eventually did arrive it didn't come out together which meant some of the party had nearly finished meals by the time the last arrived.

We went to The Barn as a group of 7 for a catch up with friends. I have had a takeaway from here previously but never eaten in, we were not disappointed. The service and hospitality were second to none, all the staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough for us.

Newly refurbished this spacious restaurant is well laid out and tastefully decorated. The efficient without being fussy. The food is first class. A wide ranging menu with a good selection of “specials” alongside all the usual varieties. Set off the main track, it is certainly worth a small detour to sample their delights.

We had heard the barn was fantastic since re-opening so we made a last minute decision to dine there last night. There were 6 of us and a baby and we couldn't fault their hospitality and were very accommodating with the baby. Food was very good, I had the Lamb madras and it was very good. Deffo one to add to the list for a regular visit again.

Since The Barn reopened and returned to its former high standard we have been keen to visit as often as we can. This last time was a takeaway as we could not all get to the restaurant in time to eat together.

My husband and I visited The Barn on Friday evening. We had a drink in the bar first, where we were welcomed by a great barman and the locals were very friendly. We were taken to our table and the waiter brought our starters. We both had the puri, king prawn for my husband and as I'm veggie, chickpea for me. Both were delicious and came with a really lovely sauce. My husband had a main which was minced lamb which he said was outstanding, and I had paneer balti which was full of flavour. The rice was also great, not overcooked and stodgy like you sometimes find. Couldn't eat all mine so they packaged it up for me to take home. This place is a little out of town, but don't hesitate to visit as it's a gem and you won't be disappointed.

All the staff were really friendly and made us feel welcomed. The food tasted amazing, it exceeded our expectations. We were recommended this restaurant by a friend and we would both recommend this further. It wasn’t overly priced and the portions were the perfect size.

Tried to order online (didn’t have any cash on me, only my mastercard) funds taken from account and declined. I thought this was the internet. Slow WiFi in this area. Tried again, same thing happens. So up to yet. £50 been taken from bank, bank now says it could take up to 1-7 days for the money to be returned due to the merchant account the Barn Restaurant uses on the website.

Under new management the service and food was excellent. All staff very polite and friendly, nothing too much bother. Would thoroughly recommend this Indian Restaurant and the new owners who obviously take pride in their customer service and delivering quality food. Will definitely be back.

I used to be an avid attendee at The Barn, sadly it was sold and very much lost its way for a few years. Now, I am delighted to say, it is new hands and been refurbished and very much refreshed. Each time we have visited the standard just gets higher.

This restaurant has been refurbished and is under new management .The service was excellent . Decor vastly improved . There is a large extensive menu with excellent choices . The dish I chose was delicious . Only criticism ditch the music get some better background more up to date Indian music . Apart from that excellent food . Loved the tut tut at the entrance to the restaurant

Looking for somewhere local and around the countryside, I found this restaurant on TripAdvisor and thought we'd give it a try.

After a recent recommendation from a friend we thought we'd go here for a takeaway meal. We had to wait an hour for our food to arrive and only got it when we chased for it. We asked how long it would be when we ordered it but they didn't know. The bar was full and very noise and not a relaxing place to wait for your food with lots of swearing by the Customers which was not nice. There were children in the bar area too. The food was disappointing with a chemical taste in one dish and despite asking for medium to hot food for both dishes they both still came out mild. It was expensive for a takeaway and seemed to be the same price for dining in as for takeaway. Most restaurants charge less for takeaways but this one doesn't. We'll be giving this a miss for a while as the takeaway service is not good.

The Barn changed hands before Christmas and has only just reopened with a new look, management and layout, but the food is back to how it was in its heyday. So pleased.

Having travelled through India and tried varies authentic Indian dishes I am often left disappointed after eating Indians back in the UK. However The Barn is one of the very few Indian restaurants I have tried in the UK who serve authentic Indian cuisine! Although I live over 2 hours away we go to the Barn every couple of months to meet family and there’s no where we’d rather go for our meals! Defiantly worth a visit!

We travel to meet family in this area about 5 times a year from oxford. We ALWAYS visit the barn whenever we’re nearby. You cannot beat the curry at this place it really is amazing. Service is great and waiters and friendly. Couldn’t recommend more

No papadums? Fırst time i see that Indian restaurant didn’t give a papadum. Plus its dont mark on menu for hot dishes. I order vegetarian dish for me and my toddler share and its turn out too spicy, so she didnt eat any Disappointed!

The chicken tikka masala was too salty, there was no option (as far as I could see) for normal pilau so went for the vegetable pilau which was coated in oil (??). The chicken korma was nice but found some bone on one of the pieces of chicken. The pesharwi naan tasted a little odd too but they did put extra mint sauce in as requested (I couldn’t find it on the menu). We don’t have takeaways that often so we were really looking forward to it! We left quite a bit which is unlike us.

Our group of 4 went here for a meal and really enjoyed it, the food was very tasty and a little different to most Indian restaurants. The service was also so good always with a smile we would return anytime.Keep up the good work.

Quite quiet. Lovely Staff quietly attentive and cheerful. Served at a good pace. Price excellent and portions a good size. The food was excellent in presèntation and taste. All told I will revisit and recommend.

The Barn was a firm favourite but following a couple of less than satisfactory meals we stayed away. Now, a year or so on and two excellent meals later I am happy to endorse it again.

We hadn't been here for a number of years and recently decided to visit again . The restaurant was empty on a Saturday night !! Few people drinking in the bar area no atmosphere whatsoever , however the food was very good and for that reason we would visit again or order a takeaway but a shame there were no diners

La comida siempre es de primera calidad ya sea en el restaurante o recoger un llevar. El restaurante es bastante remota, pero está en un entorno agradable. A veces puede ser tranquilo, creo que sufre un poco en un sentido ya que es remoto y tienes que ir en coche para llegar allí. Pero no dejes que esto te desanime si ir dentro, la comida es excelente y el personal es amable y atento.

Restaurante frío vacío, 6 en nuestro grupo, dos horas de espera para luke campos principal caliente. Un gerente muy amenazante abusivo cuando conscientes de mala comida. Quizás explica la falta de clientes en un lugar que una vez fue un próspero establecimiento ocupado sirve comida de calidad. Evita este lugar como la peste.

Pedimos una entrega y me dijeron 50 minutos. 1 hora y 10 más tarde llegaron con platos fríos (literalmente FRÍO) Cuando les llamamos no ofrecieron nada, sin reemplazo, pero recomienda que el calor en el microondas! Deseo muy muy pobre teníamos atrapado con Anoki

Hemos tenido llevar maravillosa desde aquí, pero pensamos que ya que era nuestro aniversario nos gustaría visitar, como de costumbre comida maravillosa, y las porciones son muy generosas, el pan Naan que tuvimos fueron muy claros y deliciosos.
