I’ve visited this place a couple of times, and on both occasions, the staff was extremely rude and lacked patience. Their customer service definitely needs improvement. I wouldn’t recommend coming here, as every time I asked for help or clarification, I was met with a dismissive attitude that made the whole experience uncomfortable.

I have been here twice and both the times I found that the people are very rude, and quite impatient. They need to improve on customer service, it’s not a place I would recommend, when you ask for something they give you an answer with a very bad attitude and make you feel unpleasant.

We first went to another Indian restaurant in Uttoxeter. There, the menu wasn't very inviting for vegetarians/vegans, with only four vague main course options and the odd side dish. We left that place and went to Divine Indian. Here, the menu was clear, and vegetarian dishes were abundant and easily to spot. We were all ordering vegetarian dishes, and when I asked someone from the staff for an explanation of Keema Rice, something went wrong. Either she didn't understand what I asked or I didn't understand what she said, anyway we ordered, among other types of rice, some Keema Rice to go with our curries. And also ordered some nice Cobra beer (draughted 😋) to go along with it. Drinks came and a couple of minutes passed, and suddenly, the owner came from the kitchen wanting verification for the Keema Rice as he noticed all starters, sides, and main courses were vegetarian and he found it odd that we would then take some rice with mince meat in it. As I had understood, Keema rice was rice with onions. Great customer care in action there. The food was very good, the best Indian food I ever had, or at least in a very, very long time... After the meal, we had a lovely chat with the attentive owner and even learnt the correct pronunciation of Stramshall... 😆 If I am ever again in a 50-mile area of Uttoxeter, I will be going back there for sure.

Went very early with my parents, rated atmosphere 5 even though we were the only ones in, early on a Tuesday evening, so to be expected. Service fantastic and the food was beautifully presented and the best Indian food I have had for a while.

Amazing takeaway the best Indian we've had for a long time

I keep getting my order refused on just eat. I tried yesterday and today. So I won't be using this takeaway. Very disappointed 😔

After a great day at Alton Towers, we headed to Uttoxeter to find a restaurant for an evening meal. Low on options, we decided to give Divine a try; it turned out to be a great choice. The service was fantastic and our group of 7 all enjoyed the wonderful food. Highly recommended!

Visited The Divine with the family they were very accommodating for a table of 6 including 2 little ones. Service was exceptional only second to the quality of the food. Even spend the time to assist and recommend curries for our individual diets. The breads are not to be missed by for my star of the show. Without out doubt the best curry I've had in the years I've been around Uttoxeter for. Couldn't recommend higher.

I travel the country on business and like to try all different Indian takeaways. This has Bern one of the best I've had. 👌 👍

Four of us fancied an Indian meal and we were thrilled to have found the Divine Punjabi. We were welcomed and shown to a nice table, the restaurant and facilities were clean. Drinks were served and the food lived up to the name, “Devine”. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Take away - food was obviously not cooked fresh. Plate was full off water of both curries. Poor size also very poor for extras (rice/bread etc)

Decided couldn't be bothered to cook. So curry it was. Fantastic Service, lovely food. Good menu choice clean and nice atmosphere Job done.

Our first visit and definitely will not be our last! Excellent service, quality food and drink..all great value for money. Pleasant surroundings and atmosphere with attentive staff all made for a very enjoyable evening. Highly recommend.

Unfortunately both of our curries lacked any flavour, quite watery as well. Not what we’d expect from an Indian takeaway. The rice was okay, nothing special again lacked seasoning and so was under par. Overall the worst Indian me and my wife have ordered so far. Unfortunately we won’t be using them again.

Usually we go to Indian Spice but as we were having a drink in town we decided to be lazy and go to Divine. Great friendly service but the food was average.

The restaurant were accommodating with our online booking even though it was a busy night. Due to a beer fest at the towns racecourse there were a few worse for wear diners. The staff were great with us and very tolerant of the rude behaviour of some of the diners. We really enjoyed our food and felt well looked after. We felt sorry for the staff having to deal with 2 large tables of anti social diners. The other diners were the only thing that spoiled our experience but we would have no hesitation in recommending the restaurant. Just keep the riff raff out if they don’t know how to behave in a restaurant.

Food was nice however the customer service was terrible. I was at work when I ordered the food to come at 7.30 it came at 6.55 so my food was cold when I got bsckThe woman who delivered it was rude to my wife as I asked for spinach in the curry she abruptly said have you got a pound? For the saag? To which my wife said no sorry I didn’t know she said well tell him next time! Poppadoms we paid for we’re broken and came with no mint sauce or salad unlike the other Indians.. will not be returning.

Rude!! Just ordered a takeaway from here my husband asked for spinach in my vindaloo.. answered the door and the woman abruptly said have you got the pound for the saag I said sorry? She said a pound for the spinach I said no sorry my husband ordered it his as work to which she said well tell him next time! I also ordered poppadoms as last time they never came with the meal like all the other Indiansi order do.. So I ordered 2 ..which have come with no sauce or salad. Will not be going here again!

Lovely little Indian with friendly staff, loved my food wife wasn't as keen, found the korma too sweet, reminded her of carrot and parsnip soup. My shashlik was amazing though

40 mins late but the App won’t let me select that! The food was just OK. The portion sizes for the pickles was a joke!

What a brilliant restaurant. Really flavoursome dishes, perfect sized portions and great service. Came here on the recommendation from the owners of the Olive Tree where I am staying. It didn’t disappointed.

Upon entering the surroundings looked very pleasant. Then we ordered after the meal arrived it went down hill. Pickle tray the onions were sitting in some form of liquid!! Ordered 2 Korai dishes, it arrived like pale brown runny soup with boiled chicken in. The side dish of saag baghi spinanach was as runny as the Korai Taste was bland. Visited after the races, which for 40+ years we've been doing around the country finishing with an Indian meal. This is by far the worst curry we've ever had. But the best comment was left until last, upon trying to find the Indian we asked a local couple where it was and they told us to avoid it!! Didn't listen....never again!!

The best food and restaurant in Uttoxeter once you try you will never try anywhere else. Nothing disappoints us every time we go the service and knowledge is also fantastic.

They were hugely helpful sorting out a large group order. The food was delicious.

We ordered a takeaway tonight from Divine in uttoxeter and I just wanted to say it was beautiful! Like normally when we eat in even the takeaway was great! I’m so glad that they said they would deliver to tean. And the food was still HOT too thank you for a great meal it was well enjoyed :)

Delivered 15 mins early which was great, food tasted lovely but lacking in portion size. Half a bag of chips , small amount of rice… not really worth the money it came to. Would’ve been nice if it included poppadoms (given the cost!) like other local Indian restaurants. Probably won’t order again sadly :(

Great find in Uttoxeter, smart and classy surroundings. Service was quick, and the garlic chilli chicken, madras hot was lovely. It's an odd thing to say, but it tasted clean, fresh, and spicy. Chappattis and mushroom rice, too, had a tasty aroma and not greasy at all. Definitely a cut above others that we tried. So give it a whirl... Punjabi food is well represented.

Food arrived earlier than suggested time frame and delivery driver was polite. However, didn’t really enjoy the food. The korma was ok if a little on the cooler side, the rice was hard and dry and the butter chicken was bland and lukewarm. It has normally been lovely but a bit disappointing this time. I can maybe put it down to a busy Friday night.

Absolutely fantastic restaurant. We were visiting the area for my birthday and fancied some Indian food. Wow all I can say was how authentic and home cooked the food was. Everything was so delicious well done to you all.

Recently visited for a family birthday party. Right from the time of booking a table to the time we left our group of 9 aged 7 to 70 were made really welcome. We had various items from the menu and all were excellent and the service faultless. Looking forward to the next time we are able to visit I have no hesitation in recommending Devine.

Warm, friendly staff. Food was well prepared and reasonably priced. The menu was a little limited but we enjoyed our meal.

We really enjoyed our food although both felt the chicken was slightly rubbery (hence not 5 stars) but the flavours were amazing. We haven't ordered from this restaurant before but would gladly do so again.

Have always had great food and service here, been taking my boys since they started eating curry. We tend to go on less busy times so the atmosphere is usually quiet, but the service and food is impeccable.

The food was bland and disappointing. The onion chutney was soggy and poppadom stale. The tandoori chicken didn't have any flavour. The Tarka Dhal was bland and watery. I won't be ordering again.

Took a chance as fanced a change from our usual Indian. Delivery was quick however food wasn't good. Tandoori chicken was awful, no flavour, dry and burnt. Ordered the tandoori wings. Received 4 small undercooked wings for £4.40. complete joke. Curry was waterly matching over reviews on here. Poor experience, won't be ordering from here again.

Onion Bajhais Very Small. And not worth the Money. Cheese Nan was Very Plain. Hardly Any cheese in Nan But Curry was Good. 👍

Usually really pleased with the quality of the food. Little bit disappointed tonight, as the lid wasn’t sealed properly on one of the dishes, bag was ripped on another of the dishes which resulted in part of the food leaking into the bottom of the bag. As a result, the poppadoms were a bit soft and the naan was in pieces. Hopefully, a bit more care packing the food in the future, but food quality was good.

Never had a bad meal from the restaurant

Not used Divine for a while but found the main meals to be very watery as if the contents had been defrosted and re heated. Flavour was bland. Half inch of water at the bottom of each plate when served up and unfortunately wasn’t fully edible. We had spent £60 and i’d expect a bit better quality food for what we got.

Really enjoyed the visit after our tour of Uttoxeter. England Lionesses even won Euro 2022 while we had our starters. Had the garlic chilli chicken to Vindaloo strength. Almost too hot but yummy. Yellow fellow had lamb and aubergine to madras strength. Yummy as well. Cobra on tap. Lots of Indian heritage customers. . .

Always great food from here, the only criticism is the lamb tikka starter was over cooked and chewy. However everything else is lovely! Delivery is quick and easy and the drivers are all friendly.

I can't fault their food, but the customer service is the most awkward one I have ever seen. If there are people who don't like their job then why they do it. Service ruined our day and mood that's why giving only Single star for the food. She had just made us all angry. I have seen most negative reviews were due to customer service. Good Desi Indian food. We tried the lababdar and garlic chicken and we all loved it. The host also prepared Jeera Rice (cumin) as per our request. Good experience and surely on my list when I am visiting Alton Park next time.

First time ordering from here not only was food 45mins early the food was absolutely spot on. The only thing I would say is the rice was a bit greasy but it was still amazing food. Our new curry house.

Absolutely stay away from here they have no customer service skills simply want to argue when something just wasn't nice even my 8 year old son started off by saying his korma was far too sweet I mean how hard is it to get a korma wrong .My friend ordered a chicken and spinach and no spinach was in there just grounded spice as he had said he liked spice in his dish but was more like a vindaloo which originally one of the staff said staff said it was there was no authenticity,even I left most of mine and im a big girl and love my food even the ambiance was poor!! It felt like the sauce was just added last minute not even marinated,these people are punjabi so what a let down i would have thought they knew what they were cooking clearly not. They didn't even no certain curry facts, I've travelled to India enough times so I do know my curry's shame these people do not. Most food was left I really should have argued my payment but just wanted to leave without a fuss and you could tell these people would not let it go so please be warned stay away go find somewhere else to eat unless you have no taste buds.worsed curry in all my life and I'm almost 40 stay clear!

Whilst the food was excellent the staff were not very attentive. The waitresses were either busy on their phones or chatting. Took ages to get their attention when wanting more drinks. Disappointing service. Won't revisit

We had the incorrect food delivered, to be rudely told it was our fault for taking it off the driver and to request a refund. We regularly use this restaurant but not anymore! When I questioned her attitude she told me it is their restaurant they can say what they want! No apology, just told to wait even longer or get a refund! Whoever answered the phone that night needs the chip she has on her shoulder surgically removed and an intense customer service course. I will tell as many local people as I can to never eat there! Rude, rude, rude

Just had our first experience of Devine (takeaway delivery to Doveridge) and it was amazing - Masala & Balti fabulous.

Over worked and over stretched waiting on staff , chicken tikka masala was nice but they'd over egged the tomato puree not covid secure , signs saying keep two metres use sanitiser yet customers were crammed in like sheep and what with it being race day just hoping nobody brought any little hitchhiker's with them

Lovely staff, but sadly lacking in most other aspects. Couldn’t help thinking that this was just a business and not a thoughtful restaurant. Sorry.
