Arrived yesterday evening. Check in quick and easy, except being advised to wait for someone to take our bags, which we did ourself. What I would say is, the staff are excellent, so hard working, whoever the management are, they need a large rocket, period. This place feels nice but the attention to detail is shocking. So we arrived on April 01st, who is the joker?! Queues of 20 minutes to get a drink ffs. Complained but didn’t really change anything. A la carte restaurants shut, nice one. Low and behold, today, the ice creams, 25 minute queue to be told no strawberry, vanilla or chocolate. I’m not rude but i did stop the server from chatting to his buddy as there were 25 people in the queue behind me. Joke. Overall £500 a week for here is good value, don’t expect anything more. Right on the beech.

We came here for a Friday evening meal with family and friends. The restaurant is located within 5min walk from Burton town centre. Although the facade is black and white, the colours on the inside are quite balmy and welcoming. The environment was quite cozy and decorated with thought. Decent distance between the tables. We ordered quite a few Indian dishes to share amongst 5 of us. We ordered veggie and meat dishes. We had to wait for the mains but we liked this as it was nice to have a break. They were all AMAZING! Huge credit to the chefs, front of the house and the owner. Everyone was passionate about what they do. We were so impressed with the service. Takeaways no doubt are cheaper but the price we pay is for the whole experience and we loved it. It wasn't too pricey either. Its indeed a little hidden gem at Burton for authentic Indian dishes. We want to return some time soon and will deffo recommend.

Last minute booking as we were staying in the 3 Queens hotel. Staff were lovely, very attentive and the food was great. I also so want after the last few reviews. Hubby had the madras and myself and daughter had garlic chicken tikka which was lovely. Portions a really good size, for a family of 5 with drinks we were just over £80

We could not choose a better place to celebrate our first month as husband and wife. The restaurant is a great location, the staff very kind and professional, the food... The food quality and variety was just outstanding! The last, but not least, the owner of the restaurant is so nice and welcoming that makes you feel home from the minute you walk in! We will definitely come back and we highly recommend this gem in Burton Upon Trent!

Honestly don’t bother. Drove 3 hours to see my friend for a curry and this was a disgrace. Ok, we were late (9:10pm) but if they didn’t want to serve us don’t bother. My starter was supposed to be king prawn - what arrived were absolutely tiny and the cheapest prawns you can get. Pappadums we’re stale and clearly reheated with inedible dips. Rice clumpy and cold and the naan - I’m not sure it deserves to be called that was completely undercooked. Honestly the worst Indian I’ve ever been to and if we hadn’t been shoved so quickly out the door as soon as we finished our drinks I’d have refused to pay. £60 and a complete waste of money.

ordered home delivery after a reasonably good experience earlier. food arrived almost an hour late after two phone calls. No apologies, though I understand it was new year eve and so probably busy. Aubergine curry undercooked, oily and mostly went in the bin. Tarka Daal, I think they forgot to put a decent quantity even as a side dish. Onion kulcha probably had one tiny piece of onion in one of the bites and Vegetable nan surely was without any vegetable and undercooked. Overall a very disappointing experience.

So I ordered through just eat the meal came at a reasonable hour but that was the only plus point I ordered Lamb Chops to start and a Lamb Balti with a keema Nan. So let’s start with the lamb chops they didn’t turn up but 3 small pieces of chopped up lamb did so it was a terrible start the Lamb Balti was meatless to say the least as was the keema Nan!! I have never had meal so poor and not as ordered or just lacking ingredients. I tried to call but the phone was not answered so gave up in the end had beans on toast and threw this joke of a meal in the bin !! No excuses I feel totally robbed

Jee Jaa Jees has been my favourite for years, I now live in London and every time I come back to my family home in the midlands the first thing I do is go to Jee Jaa Jees. I have been back since lockdown and only found out they were still open today after driving past-I had a look when I first came back but thought they were shut as I couldn't get through - clearly just busy that I now realise and there was a reason why... their excellent food.Ive just eaten my takeaway and yet again still my favourite curry house in the UK - not found one in London that compares either! The best Masala I've ever had. Everything else was 5* too. The delivery driver was also ahead of time and a lovely guy too (standing away of course for non contact delivery).Thank you Jee Jaa Jees, see you soon.

Sunday 8.3.20 having not ordered for some months, my wife and I ordered a home delivery. Firstly, my food was very good, Papta Ma Gosht (Lamb with Potatoes and spices), which although a little on bland side was nice.My wife's was a whole new ball game. She ordered Makhani Chicken Tikka as she prefers a less greasy / oily dish. I instantly knew she was not enjoying the delivered food and asked her what was wrong? It had melted cheese in it. This may have been Panner but was not listed on ingredients. I normally enjoy anything thats put in front of me, but this was very distasteful and had a very bitter and unappealing taste after a few mouthfuls. The next day (Monday) my wife was still complaining of belly ache. A very poor meal and will not bother for a while.

Fantastic first visit to this curry house, friends in the region have always taken us to other favourites of theirs in town but this came out tops. I went with the waiter recommendation of Lamb Almashiki, beautiful melt in your mouth lamb with excellent flavour & the cheese stuffed paratha was fantastic! The staff were very helpful in suggesting we swap the included sides of rice with naan or paratha. Cosy & characterful interior & great welcome from owner & staff. (they had the post code and house number)Our house is very simple to find in a normal every day sort of street with large numbers on the frount. To add further insult to my intelligence they then offerd the food at a discounted price. What I was going to do with a bag of cold curry I have no idea. And if they could not find the street where I lived how would i recive the cold slop? This company had delivered before so I know this was not a impossible task.Dissapointed about the lying .

OK previous 2 visits. Booked a table no problem with that turned out very expensive and the chicken was actually tough! Told them the chicken was tough said they'd tell the chef maybe overcooked. £8.95 for each of 2 half portions of chicken jalfrezi and chicken Achari so equivalent of about £18 for a full portion of curry! (achari not on the menu but did it as quite easy to do) and £7 for a hot meat starter (on menu in Kegworth Jee Ja jees but not in Burton so they did that) Left quite a lot of chicken they seemed put off that I actually said about it so gave a £2 discount or thereabouts I'd much rather have had a satisfying meal which it certainly was not. Overall poor value won't return.

If I could give zero stars I would. Arrived at 9.30 as a party of 8. We were ordering starters and the waiter suggested a mixed starter for us all so we agreed. That came out and was a plate of tandoori chicken cubed and mini bhajis. Main came out and whilst the curries were fine they missed off my partners rice and at least 2 naan breads. The poppadoms that came out were ONE POUND each when we saw the bill, I nearly fell off my chair. They charged us SIX POUNDS each for the dreadful starter. I brought this up with the manager and all he said was "thats what the prices are, and the poppadoms are 75p each". The bill said a pound!!!! They ran out of Malbec after ONE bottle. All in all we felt thoroughly fleeced. They just took advantage of a party that had been out for drinks beforehand. The water ordered for the table came out with 4 glasses. We asked for some for the rest of the table and they brought a GLASS of water so we asked again and finally had water for us all. Never going again and we tell as many people as possible how awful our experience was and how awful the manager was.

We also had to ask twice for water which was annoying. The restaurant itself is quite dark and almost looks like it could do with a refurb, the lights were off before the toilets which made it very difficult to see where the doors actually were and which was male or female. Even in the toilet half the lights were off? The major positive was the food tasted nice.

Top draw, depth of flavour in all dishes with a warm chilli heat that was powerful in the case of the Madras but did not detract from the spicing. There were people in there eating and we were just two couples looking for a curry. We walked 5 mins away to The Manzil who looked after us and we had a very good curry. It did clearly state in the window that they were open until 12.00pm but obviously they did not want our custom Thank you to The Manzil you were great!.

A little disappointed with the food, three of the sauces tasted the same yet should have been totally different! we have had better tasting curry in boxed takeaways from supermarkets.

I wouldn't recommend this curry it was tasteless and mushy. I'm unsure why it's one of the best reviewed curries to be honest.

We recently tried Jee ha Jees having tried a couple of take aways, the place is lovely a really nicely decorated a clean establishment, the staff were great, so we were really looking forward to a brilliant experience, the starters were OK, I had the mixed kebab and my wife had mushroom Bhaji, so far so good, for mains I had my favourite Chicken tikka Parthia, my wife had Jalfrezi, we had vegetable rice. The main course was a massive dissapointment, having tasted both we agreed they were both developed from the same base mixture, the Parthia tasted nothing like expected it lacked flavour and quantity, the jalfrezi was the same it had some form of hotter added but again it lacked the real taste you would expect for Jalfrezi, overall it was hugely dissapointing, the place looks great, has excellent staff but on this occasion it lacked the finese of ingredients to separate the flavours of too very different currys, such a waste when the main criteria is to provide authentic cuisine and sadly this was lacking.

It's rare that everything is excellent when visiting a restaurant in my experience. This was different. The service was courteous and sufficient without being intrusive. The food was excellent, including the rice, which is frequently not hot or well prepared. For the meal I had, I would travel some distance.

Group of 15 or so having a mixture is shared starters and mains. Service was very slow and mains appeared to be different meats in non descript tasteless sauces. Won't be in a hurry to return.

We're staying at the Holiday Inn, Burton Upon Trent and asked for a recommendation of the best Indian restaurant in the area and were recommended Jee Ja Jee's. We are so pleased we took their advice. I have a gluten, dairy, egg etc allergy and they cater for this. A lovely restaurant with beautiful hand painted murals on the walls. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome and special. The food was excellent and the service was friendly and first class. We'll go again definitely on our next trip to Burton Upon Trent.

Ordered from here a few times, wasn't overly impressed the first time but thought I'd give them the benefit of the doubt.....now ive made my mind up, i dont know how this place has won so called 'awards' because the food is totally bland and non authentic, boring!....since I moved here I cannot believe how poor the indian restaurants are in the swad/burton area....none of them have a clue how to cook, prepare Indian food,,,,,the best Indian restuarant lies 200 miles away 'the empress of India' in Sittingbourne Kent, look and learn....I would rather travel 200 miles than eat this rubbish!

We had cycled from Tamorth a long the canal and needed refuelling. This was one of the most favoursome meals we have ever had. The saga aloo was perfect. The service was friendly, knowledgeable and pitched just right. Thank you, we sped back to Nottingham via the canal and river Trent the following day thanks to the lovely dinner the night before!

Dined here after eating BBQ all day while judging a BBQ contest, so wanted something different. I got it! Had the Rogan Josh Keema and it was very flavorful... truly a wonderful blend of spices and ingredient. A word of caution, unless you're truly an afficionado of fiery foods, do NOT order this dish "hot", my dinner companions could not eat this dish. The service was excellent and I look forward to visiting again when I am in Burton upon Trent.

Had not ate here for a few years but thought it had a decent reputation still so had a takeaway this week. I ordered the lamb keema, cheese naan, Bhindi Bhaji & rice. Was possibly the most tasteless, bland Indian meal I've ever had. Totally devoid of flavour. Half way through I gave up and threw it in the bin. No seasoning, no spice, simply no flavour whatsoever.

I visited this restaurant due to it's proximity to where I was staying and I was not disappointed. I very much like my curries and wanted to take the opportunity to try something new, I asked the waiter his recommendation between two lamb curries and he recommended another which was described with chicken but said to order it with lamb. It was exactly what I was after, with a generous portion of poppadoms, dips and decent sized nan. I will be bold next time and have the phal!

Family of 10. Where to begin. Mixed up veg and non veg samosas and my vegetarian wife ended up eating meat. Half hearted apologies, blaming each other - they didn’t really have a clue. We waited 1 hour for starters even through the restaurant was super quiet. Food was not great. Fish Amritsar slimy and bland. Chana Puri bland. Nan breads flat. Chilli paneer and paneer shashlik were identical. Tandoori chicken and aloo tiki were ok. No drinks menu. Left after Starters. Place is a joke.

If you want quality, tasty food which is clean, I highly recommend either the lamb, steak, or kofte kebab. Fresh salad, and tender lean meat. The rice is so tasty with these dishes and it's a very healthy meal also. I'm a big eater and always order large, and it satisfying. If you are looking for a healthier alternative fast food there's nowhere else in this town to go apart from Indiana for these dishes.

Pleasant staff, quick service, great food. They do not have an alcohol license but offer a good range of soft drinks and I noticed other patrons had brought their own alcoholic drinks

Excellent food and service. Tandoori mixed grill is delicious. In our opinion it is still the best Indian restaurant in Uttoxeter..
