Great quality food, good portion sizes. Cooked fresh for order, so a reasonable wait time. Only thing that we should point out the tables seemed crammed together.

Terrible low quality food, we were in the area for a trip and were struggling to find food options so we opted for this, and the food totally disappointed, it was dreadful. Do not be deceived by the high rating, our experience was genuinely so bad. Want a full refund The lamb dish we ordered was a curry, no where in its description did it say it will have sweetness in it, it was so sweet which is absolutely disgusting in a lamb curry dish, made no sense and was inedible and totally wrong

Just ordered a chicken Tikka Madras and the food was lovely but not enough spice in the curry it didn’t even taste spicy for a Madras but everything else was spot on👍

Used Indian spice for family, friend and couple meals. It’s spot on every time. Again first time reviewing despite all of those visits. Most recent was exceptional again. Everything always tastes fresh. The curry’s are always perfectly cooked and not dripping in oil like so many Indian restaurants and takeaways. The team are always really great and look after you well regardless of it is your first visit or seventh. Cannot think of a better Indian with a 30 mile radius.

Absolutely amazing, delicious I have eaten at the top Indian restaurants that costs hundreds of pounds per head but in my opinion the food here was much better, the taste was stunning. I can’t stop telling people

We have had takeaways for several years and they have always been top notch. Made a spontaneous visit for a family birthday. What a pleasant experience! The food as usual was excellent, the service was prompt but not rushed and all the staff especially the local girls waiting on were a pleasure to deal with. Thank you Indian Spice for an excellent evening. We will return and would recommend to anyone.

Chicken seemed to have been reheated and sauce added rather than being freshly cooked. Waiter forgot one of our requests. Overall disappointing.

We had a lovely meal here in April 2024! The restaurant was lovely and warm when we arrived (a little too warm by the end, lol) and although not many customers there (it was early) it was still a nice friendly atmosphere. The food was FANTASTIC! We had a starter and a main and it was all excellent and great Service, we will definitely return!!!

Really nice restaurant. We were passing by on the A50 and fancied a stop. It was ideal. Close to the main road with easy parking. Really great welcome and lovely staff. The food was excellent. Classic Indian but really well done. Nice decor and ambiance with nice loos! Not expensive.

I loved everything about the curry, I had chicken,chips and naan bread and the sauce was so flavoursome, one of the best curries I’ve had 5-5 stars

we had food from here and when we placed our order we was told it would be ready in 50 mins, arrived on time and paid our £80 bill and was told it would be 5 mins more had to wait another 50 mins and while I was waiting there was loads of drivers collecting food for delivery which not only annoyed me but lots of other customers waiting for food some even cancelled due to waiting over 40 mins I appreciate they get busy but 1 hour 40 to get a takeaway is a joke.

Very tasty curry for both me and my girlfriend. Nice!

A modern smart Indian restaurant is well worth a visit. The Coconut rice is amazing try it with your choice of main dish.

As an ex restraunter myself, I know how difficult the five star hygiene rating is to achieve. This should be the benchmark from where all reviews for Indian Spice are founded. I have always found over the last six years that this establishment is dedicated to customer service, quality and very, very high standards! Although sometimes a victim of its own success being arguably the best Indian food in the area, comes at cost of being extremely vibrant and busy. Having said that, I have always found consistently very high quality meals and furthermore totally authentic and delicious! There is also always a genuine heart felt welcome both as you arrive or leave. Thank you Indian Spice

Booked by a friend who's curry knowledge and recommendations in general are questionable but this was absolutely spot on. A long, long time since I've had a curry this good. I had lamb achari, keema naan and fried rice and all were excellent. Fresh ingredients, nicely seasoned and didn't wake up at 3am needing a pint of water. Excellent service and an all round great place. Highly recommended.

Loved the meal I chose, they managed well with our booking of 15 people, with all food served piping hot and the staff attentive to our needs. Also during the current hot weather there having air conditioning was great.

Staying at the hotel in Alton Towers and 1 the prices are outrageous and 2 when we ordered they didn’t have the only vegetarian meal on the menu. A quick google of near by restaurants and this place came up. Food was amazing. Portions are enough for 2 people to eat. Naan breads are massive. Nice that there was plenty of other people coming in to dine. Shame it’s 3 hours away from my home. Would go back there again if staying at Alton Towers. Recommend

Stopped here last night randomly as passing after a day out and so glad we did! The food was just delicious! The best Indian I've ever had. Tasted so fresh. The naan bread in particular was beautiful. We didn't book and they still accommodated us with no problems. Great service and will definitely be back. Thank you!

Very good Indian food. Three of us ordered a variety of dishes and enjoyed every one. Good sized portions. Good service.

Visiting after a few years, as heard good reviews. My main complaint was TVs everywhere, very low lighting making reading menus difficult. Once the meal arrived we were approached five times by different members of staff to ask if the meal was OK, once is fine but five times is annoying and you wonder if the establishment has no confidence in its food. Also asked three times if we wanted more drinks, once is enough. Food was OK nothing to stand out. The chicken Korai was bland and more like a mild balti. I mentioned this to the staff who seemed very disinterested in my comments. I don’t mind as I always do my complaining with my feet. When I come to pay it seemed awkward when I asked for an itemised receipt. No worries shall not rush back better restaurants located nearby.

the waiters were very rude. especially the blonde haired one , she was very disrespectful. constantly had her hands in the food. altogether wont be returning till the get sorted out.

This restaurant makes the best food I have ever tasted. The staff were very kind and the restaurant has a beautiful layout. Truly the best Indian food I have ever tried and I recommend everyone come here at least once in their life.

Firstly the food was lovely, would be nice to have had a little more rice but other than than excellent. The reason I've only given 2 stars is because of the rudeness of the young girls 'working' there. Arms folded, abrupt manner, really didn't want to be there. Spent more time bickering with each other than working and not one smile between them. Won't be going again until the staff are sorted out. Maybe a course in customer service is what's needed.

Absolutely amazing food and service! We’ve been coming to here and the sister setting Indian heaven for more than 4 years. Saliq is always so welcoming, all staff are approachable. When we arrived there were a few large tables in..and all other tables were occupied. Within 40 minutes we’d eaten poppadoms and chutney and our mains with sides were making the way to our table! Portions are massive and very filling. Staff came to check how everything was and couldn’t do anything more than they did! When the bill arrived there were two mints and two pens which I think is a lovely touch! Overall our experience was outstanding and this is why we keep returning! Thank you so much Saliq!

It was really busy when I was there with my work friends. Took an hour until our food was ready but it was delicious and definitely worth the wait. The staff are friendly and polite. I don't like spicy food so I had the chicken Malaya. It was really nice.

Sort your staff. Not nice when you hear one waitress- the dark haired one telling the other one- long blonde hair that she doesn’t like her… repeatedly! Spoiled the evening somewhat!!!

Went with two friends from Sandbach area, it was great to see Salek and his team again, the food was good and the staff couldn't do enough to make it a really enjoyable evening. Well done guys

Food and service were excellent. Staff very helpful and friendly. We went mid week and quite early, so not very busy, consequently not much atmosphere. The only down side is that there is no parking ( as far as I'm aware). You have to park on the street.

It's has been some time since I last visited the Indian Spice Restaurant it has come along way the food is amazing. The service is very professional.

Local inside looks nice, great service and polite people working there. Food was so good and in good price. I was quite tired this day. After when we ate it give me alot energy I felt like a after 2 coffees and its was so delicious alot of flavours inside. Definitely will back in future. Thanks that's was nice feast.

Went with a group of friends on a Friday evening. We never felt rushed, food was excellent and plenty of choice. Service was top class and price very reasonable, we will go back again soon!

Best Indian restaurant I've been to in the whole of the UK!

We were on a break at Alton towers and dinned at this restaurant. As a punjabi Indian I would recommend this restaurant the food quality and taste was excellent they could improve on the portion size. My kids were impressed and enjoyed the food.

It does a great takeaway, although parking is a nightmare. Best to park up manor road, rather than on the High Street, especially if you are eating in, as the residents of the High Street might want to unload shopping AND get their children into their homes safely, and this isn't possible if the nearest parking is on Park Street or Manor road.

The price reflects the quality and it is definitely worth the money.

We had Chicken Dhansak, vegetable rice, sag aloo, onion bhaji and popadoms. Very spicy Dhansak. All tasted delicious. Large portions and would happily recommend them. 👍

This has been our go-to in Uttoxeter for years. It's miles better than any other curry house in Uttoxeter imo. Particular highlight is the dhansak. Whole ingredients prepared well, not just meat chucked into a blended sauce. High quality every single time. Not a bad word to say about Indian Spice. (We collect, so cannot comment on delivery)

Had a takeaway from here recently , chicken madras , pilau rice and poppodums . . thr rice , popadoms snd curry sauce but i didnt know if the chicken was chicken or velocpraptor it was so old . boiling foul at its worst . had thr rice and sauce , threw the foul fowl.

NOT SO GREAT TASTE OF FOOD AND ALSO NOT SO CHEAP.. QUANTITY OF BRIYANI OR RICE IS EXTREMLY LOW. ROTI ITEMS ARE OK.

This time we decided on a Monday night so as not struggle for a table. It was'nt too busy, but enough bodies to give it a party atmosphere. Once again the staff, the food and the service did not disappoint. Thoroughly enjoyed the evening. 10 out of ten.

We had a great evening at Indian Spice with our four daughters, the staff were helpful and friendly, our youngest is 1 and we’d had a long day at Alton Towers so she wasn’t the happiest but they were great! The restaurant is lovely and the food was amazing!!! One of the best Indian restaurants we have been to, so much choice and everything was cooked to perfection, so flavourful, my chicken Chanawala was Devine! My Husband had the chicken Sagwala, a dish he has often and it was the best one he’s had, the chicken was so tender! We also ordered Tikka Masala, pilau rice, onion bahjis, sheek kebabs and naan breads too, everything was perfect. We would highly recommend visiting the Indian Spice!

Last year I gave this restaurant a terrible review based on the fact that although face coverings were mandatory inside 2 of the waiters were not wearing theirs. Tonight we went back. The welcome and service was wonderful and the food first class and piping hot. Thank you.

For our second consecutive visit the table service was shocking. Having only ordered poppadoms and main course after 1 hour and 15 minutes there was no sign of our main course being brought to the table. In fact there was a table of approximately 12 folks who has been waiting 2 hours for their food. Ours was obviously not appearing any time soon. The restaurant needs to decide it's priorities, on arrival it was full of folk waiting for takeaway meals. I would not advise anyone to visit.

Went to Alton towers for the day and last minute fancied Indian on the way home. Called at 20 minutes notice and they were very accommodating. Food was some of the best Indian to ever grace my pallet! Meat was quality not cheap wholesale stuff and the staff were very friendly, polite and helpful. The restaurant was decorated to a high standard and a generally great atmosphere. If we are ever in the area again we will certainly be back!

I love the tikka massala here and the madras I've not had any other curries but it's been lovely everytime I've had one. Definitely the best Indian in uttoxeter. Staff are good as well.

Firstly do book a table, you can normally tell how good a place is with how busy it is. My son and me booked a table for Monday evening and it was quite busy when we arrived. We were seated straight away and our drinks arrived quickly. The service is excellent, there is lots of staff so service is very quick. We asked a couple of questions about the size of dishes and was answered honestly, which saved us money. The dishes were piping hot and very tasty. The staff were helpful, informative and friendly. A great night out.
