The Banker in City of London, Westminster

Great pub tucked away under Blackfriars bridge on the Thames Path. Perfect place to stop for a pint of ESB or London Pride. Very historic walk too.

Great spot for work lunch/dinner with fantastic, breezey views overlooking the Thames if you choose to sit upstairs. Whilst it's not the most spacious and felt small upon entering, it's got a cozy, homely vibe with the dim lit, rustic and wooden interior which we loved. There's also outdoor seating just outside the pub which seemed popular. Staff were polite and hospitable too despite the busy period when we went and our food didn't take too long to arrive. We ordered a combination of the half rotisserie chicken, burger, fish and chips and sandwiches and whilst prices were leaning towards the higher side, it is to be expected for such a Riverside location in the heart of London. Recommended and thumbs up.

I was out on a Stag Doo and we visited The Banker pub. I've never been here before and was really impressed. There were 29 of us, and we managed to secure the mezzanine deck area with the pool table (bonus). Had several old-school beer and some chips. Apart from our group, the atmosphere was brilliant. Had a great time. Thank you.

The Banker EC4 is a solid City pub with a great atmosphere—perfect for after-work drinks or a casual catch-up. The beer selection is decent, though prices are steep (mostly between £6-£8), which is expected for the area. The service is friendly, and the historic pub vibe adds charm. It can get crowded during peak hours, but the outdoor seating is a nice touch. A great spot if you don’t mind paying London prices!

Way too busy - not a nice experience.

My favorite pub in London. Nice to see all the river traffic as we sit back and enjoy a pint and excellent cheeses. My only concern is that sometimes food is not available. It is wonderful to have a bite to eat and sit back and enjoy the river through your wonderful picture windows as well as outside on your patio if it is a nice day!

Nothing wrong with the pub, but if you're looking for a quiet pub and a sit down, in rush hour London, this isn't it. Absolutely rammed around 6pm and took 20 mins to get served, squashed together with others waiting to get served. Nice location, just too busy for my liking. Fair prices and nice pint, though.

Start-off pub for our works pub crawl. Good beer, great location, friendly staff. Half way round the crawl, we wish we'd stayed there!

Great service, fast and friendly. View is amazing directly on the Thames. Food was very good and tasty! The perfect place for drinks and food with friends and or colleagues! Special mention for the calamari and mixes of finger food! I recommend!

This is a brilliant pub just behind Cannon Street Station, with lots of great intimidate sections and wonderful views of the Thames as well as outdoor areas overlooking the river. Great selection of alcohol and a great looking menu but we didn't eat.

My favourite pub in London, a warm welcome from the staff every time, especially Norbert who goes above and beyond. The menu is delicious, get the chicken and you won’t be disappointed. Great view of the river and a sun trap when the sun is out. Easy recommendation.

A very pleasant fullers pub by the river. Lots of seating inside and out. Slightly dark inside but fine by me. Nice staff.

Nice pub by the river not too far from Cannon Street station. The staff were friendly and welcoming. There was a good selection of beers on tap. There was a great atmosphere in the pub with people watching the rugby. Hope to visit this pub again

Gran pub solo una pena que la comida estaba fría! ¡El queso Nacho de piedra frío lo recuperó para que todavía volviera a salir frío solo que te digan que los nanchos están hechos para ser fríos! Sé que mi queso debe estar al menos caliente

Friendly staff, wide selection of drinks including shots. Brilliant location with an outside area right next to the Thames and great views from inside as well.

We were passing and decided to stop here and have a drink before continuing with our walk. We sat outside as the weather was lovely and wanted to make the most of the Autumn sunshine. Inside has plenty of seating which is quite spacious. The gentleman who served us was very helpful and certainly provided service with a smile. Would certainly return here when next in London

Got a Philly cheese steak sandwich thrown at me after waiting 30 minutes for service. Absolutely abysmal food. Came swimming in a greasy cheese sauce which still couldn’t mask the flavour of burnt steak. Veg underneath was overcooked and practically indistinguishable never mind edible, The chips were the only decent part of the meal.

Fantastic bar, nice views, Staff was really kind to us even tho we do not speak English as our first language. Would love to visit again

The Banker on Cousin's lane, a super archway pub nestling below the Thames bridge, this one doesn't really have a name. It's the railway bridge heading to Cannon Street Station. Good beer and lovely customers. Great service from the one bar staff on but could have done with a bit more help, I feel. A great under the arches treat for a visit to London.

Proper pub with excellent beer, especially the cask Five Points XPA. Friendly service and a lovely little terrace which is a suntrap.

Great hidden little pub! So much character. The food was amazing, we stopped for lunch and then came back for a pint later that evening. Both times the service was incredible.

Interesting Fullers pub with good range of cask beers. Several levels to sit at and underneath the arches right next to the river. Comfortable seating, efficient staff

Norbert made the time here an amazing experience! He went above and beyond to treat us with care, appreciate the wildness of our two toddlers, and treated us with respect and kindness. Wonderful atmosphere and food.

Encontramos al Banquero en un paseo por la orilla del río y tomamos unas copas afuera. Había un ambiente agradable y apreciamos las mantas proporcionadas. Más tarde volvimos a tomar unas copas después de la cena y jugar al billar. Acabábamos de terminar nuestra primera bebida, cuando anunciaron que cerrarían a las 10 pm, que fue alrededor de 20-30 minutos después. Esto fue un poco impactante ya que había bastante gente en el pub y era un viernes por la noche! Como otro grupo había llegado especialmente para jugar al billar, les dejamos tener la mesa y se fueron, lo que fue una pena ya que nos hubiéramos quedado más tiempo si hubiéramos podido.

If you're looking for a great place for lunchtime this is hard to beat. Especially on a sunny day with sun-trap terrace overlooking the Thames. Nice under-the-arches vibe inside too.

I was here for a private party. This is a gorgeous space right on the Thames. Food was excellent for pub food. The point here is being in a gorgeous pub with river views.

A very good place, calm, good service, without a lot of people, but I think that i went in a time that no have much people. Easy to arrive. I’m tourist and find this place riding a bike. The accommodations is very good, the bar too.

Hidden Gem! Spent a lovely sunny Friday afternoon at The Banker enjoying a small family reunion. Really lovely venue in a great location. The staff were fabulous, very friendly, welcoming and attentive. We all enjoyed our visit. The food was great and there was a good selection of drinks. A fabulous find, would definitely recommend and return.

A hidden tavern that ticks the boxes but feels missing. There's huge potential to tap in this riverside, under rail arch hideaway for city locals. Loads of riverside street drinking outside high vaulted ceiling drinking hall. There interesting space features like the mezzanine, riverside vaulted spaces and a vault. The trains rattle overhead for good character and there's some railway cafe styled seating. There's incredibly dirty high stool seating and a strange display counter where you'd expect the bar to extend. It's a small bar but good selection, with an interesting pint. It's brick everything but this fits the style and there's some characterised pictures alongside typical modern pub apparel. It's a good crowd getaway, hideaway but a little pub by numbers vibe in a fantastic space.

Sat on the outside terrace for food and drink. Bar service provided. The staff were very helpful and pleasant, food and drink great. Lovely evening with River view

Well located Fullers pub on the North side of the Thames, right on the River. Steps nearby go down to the foreshore, always good for a mooch at low tide. Lots of nooks & crannies inside and some decent outdoor seating in a midday sun trap facing south. My pint of ESB was on fire! 👍

The chips are probably the best I've had while in England, the burger was quite decent and being able to sit under the bridge right on the river is great.

Terrific spot under London Bridge, the food and drink is nothing special and the prices are fairly high but the interior and unique view of the river makes up for that :)

Very crowded on Friday evening. It took us around 45 minutes to get our drinks. Atmosphere was vibrant, nice crowd. Will visit again.

I visited the Banker late in the afternoon, there were few people there so, the atmosphere was not electric but it did mean I could get a seat overlooking the river plus, of course, Fullers beer is my favourite.

Great place to have drinks but it gets busy so best to reserve a table if you can.

Dropped in as part of a stroll round. The Rugby-themed pint of Pale was magnificent, and I'm not Fullers greatest fan, but credit where it's due.Glorious.

A very typical pub, perfect for stopping for a beer. Not far from London Bridge it serves as a stopover for walkers.

Usually full so it's hard to find a seat. A bit overpriced. Not the best pub I've been to.

Nice Fullers pub with river views (though largely the underside of Cannon Street rail bridge). An unusual spot with tasty beers including dinner interesting guests and the food was good but not exceptional. I must admit I found the place to be chilly when I was there in December though. Needs cosying up a bit!

Gets very busy on Thursdays, but staff are quick to serve. Some good cask ales on the pumps. Good atmosphere and the inside layout is interesting.

Good pub made famous for the closing scene from the Hollywood film Mission impossible. The layout does feel like a movie set. You can imagine being on a boat in the middle on the ocean with the pubs excellent view of the river. It can be a bit hard to find from bank station so suggest you get off at cannon Street where is a short walk. The food and drinks are reasonably priced for London and its super tasty.

Came here for a couple of drinks on a Saturday afternoon. The pub was very quiet with only a few tables in, but that's to be expected at this location. That being said, the pub was clean and the staff efficient. The best thing going for the pub is the view of the Thames under the railway bridge watching the world go by. I would return.

Great pub hidden away under Cannon St. station. Found it by chance about 10 years ago and always pop in if I'm in the area. Proper London prices mind you. £7.80 for a 4% session IPA was a shock on this visit.

Went on Wednesday 30th August with a friend for the Campari pop up and had a great time. Bustling atmosphere and great service particularly from our waiter Norbert who was very attentive and great to chat to. Will be returning again, thanks Norbert for your hospitality!

Grumpy waitress, multiple kinds of beers we tried to order weren't there. Why do you have them on your menu then? Dirty glasses. All = no tip + bad review

Reserved the balcony area for a private event and it was great! The staff were friendly and accommodating, and it was good having service from the upstairs as well. It was great with the pool table too! Would recommend this pub for reserving areas as it’s always done well. Thank you for a successful night!

Great little hole in the wall. Great view of the thames. Steak pie was really good. The 1/2 chicken is very tasty, highly recommend. Staff are nice and friendly. No discounts available. Clean toilets.

Good food, good view, and excellent service. We met up for a midweek lunch and were seated immediately, order taken and meal served in timely manner. Would go again but make sure you get there early or you may be late for work.

It's a great place to drink and eat after work.
