The Balti Tower in North West Leicestershire

Very warm welcome were made to feel like old friends. Food was excellent and very reasonably priced. Well always use again.

Paid £16.90 for 3 items, the rice was only half full, and the Masala was very runny. Tried it, but won't be using again........

Went here Saturday 10th June for daughter’s belated birthday. Place doesn’t look much from outside ,but when you walk in you are greeted by lovely staff We all had different dishes and they were all very nice, we really enjoyed our time there and will be going back .just a shame it was so empty on a Saturday night. Prices were very good and as it is a bring your own no overpriced drinks. Would recommend to anyone who likes Indian food

We recently moved into the area and decided to take our two grandchildren (aged 8 and 6) for a curry as it is their favourite. Slight confusion at the location as the sign outside says Balti nights, but a quick google convinced us that we were in the right place. First impressions were good, lovely decor and nice atmosphere (it was only 6pm so quiet). Great service and the food……. well in a nutshell, it was the nicest Indian meal we have had in a very long time! I highly recommend you give them a try.

Ordered takeaway for 4 on Saturday for delivery. Third time we have used this restaurant and again it was delicious. Will certainly be ordering again. Highly recommended.

We went to an event at the Victoria bikers pub nearby and just fancied a Curry. We both chose from the menu had a starter chana dhal and chicken tikka. We both had chilli chicken , chappatis and lemon rice. Service was quick and prompt. We felt really welcomed . The Food was great and filled a hole. We would definitely go back again .

Great tasting takeaway, quick and easy order over the phone, turned up exactly as they said on time, was warm, we live 2/3 mile away, friendly driver, would have no problem ordering again, plenty of meat in the meat dishes, and beautifully tasting sauce. Will be our new go to Indian takeaway, had starters, mains and rice, couldn’t fault it,

We ordered in last night and having not had a curry for a while it definitely didn't disappoint. Melt in your mouth Lamb, soft fluffy nann and great vegan options. Cannot wait to order again soon

Had a chicken dhaba & chicken tikka rogan dosh medium hot, garlic pilau rice, chips, pops, pickle tray & scampi starters - all hot, delicious, presented well. Was not sure of what certain meals were about so asked Ali (front of house) who gave details of ingredients/flavours to help with vast choice. Been coming here nearly 20 years and always have something new to try, and new people to meet and new friends to make. Lovely place!

My Nan bread wasn’t even like a Nan and it tasted days old as did the rice and the curry was watery with barely any taste . I wouldn’t get a takeaway from here again

We’ve been using this Balti for years. I must say we’ve never had a bad meal. Just had a take away delivered and it was superb, the food was very tasty, well cooked and good value.

This Indian restaurant has been here for years so we tried it for a change. We found the staff were only helpful if you caught their attention. We were given jugs of water but weren’t asked if we wanted other drinks, which we did. The poppadoms came with two dishes of pickles at one end of the table and three at the other. When the poppadoms were almost finished they brought out another different pickle entirely. Some members of our party chose the buffet whilst others chose off the menu. The ones that chose off the menu had to wait 40mins for their food with no apologies, the restaurant wasn’t busy. The food was average. Very poorly organised, not once were we asked if we wanted any thing else or if we were happy with our meal. We won’t be returning.

Ordered a take away from here but food was bland and naan breads doughy. Ordered a cheese naan and hardly any cheese. Really disappointing meal, will go back to our regular place in future

Twice this week we have been in and the food is A1 fantastic food and service. Ali and all his staff go out there way to look after you and provide you with top standard food and service. Nothing is ever a problem. Our favourite Indian and the only we one we ever return too. Well done guys x

Been going this Balti house for over 20 years now and still on point , 11 of us went and with in 5 minutes of sitting down the poppadoms and tray came out ( 20 spice 10 plain )soon as we ran out of any of the pickle tray more came out !Because it’s take your own alcohol it saves me a small fortune then going to a curry house where it’s £4/5 a pint when a took a case of Budweiser 24 for £10 .The mains came out piping hot all at the same time from mixed tandoori grill to tawa king prawns while the kids had korma / massala .My favourite curry house , it’s very clean restaurant, clean toilets.

Me & my wife discovered this restaurant 4 weeks ago & now drive 6 miles every Saturday to eat here. Food is definitely the best Indian in the area & the service is so friendly & great value which makes us return every weekend. Well done balti tower

From start to finish you get A1 class service. So helpful, friendly, curtious. Food astonish, they so go out of there way to make sure your happy. Myself and hubby come here weekly on a devoted basis as we love the food and hospitality. Well done boys. I hope the businesse carries on for years x

From the outside the restaurant is really underwhelming (dirty, poor signage etc). Once we got inside it took staff a long time to seat us despite it being almost completely empty. Upon entering you will notice a buffet at the back of the room but when seated be offered a menu which makes 0 sense.Table cloths were dirty and the tables were set with poorly folded paper napkins. Wasn’t enough plates/forks on our table when it was set. Food was poorly presented and not spicy at all despite ordering a Jalfrezi.We all opted for the special £9.50 for a starter, curry and rice or naan and 2 of us chose to add a naan on for the extra 70p which would have made it £30 for three but we were charged close to £35? When we questioned the bill we were told it’s because we chose mixed and ‘special’ naans, even though the menu does actually say ‘any mixed naan’ ‍♀️ friends decided just to pay it because the staff were pretty condescending and unhelpful. The good points - toilets were clean and you can take your own booze. Overall, one of the worst curry houses I’ve been to and won’t be returning

Food was tasteless Luke warm popadoms were covered in oil, main chicken tikka consisted of 10 small cubes (approx quarter of a breast @£7) called to speak to someone and I was fobbed off this place used to be ok now the quality has gone down hill

I came here with a group of friends and for a birthday and had an amazing night, the staff were all very friendly and was always happy to help.The food was springily well priced and even with such a large group all having starters and mains, the bill was still surprisingly cheap, with the restaurant being BYOB (bring your own booze) it made the night even cheaper!The food on a whole was very good and tasted superb, would recommend coming here!

Was really disappointed by my meal this time, there was no taste to any of it. Korma is a mild dish but it's normally nice, this tasted of nothing.

Yes it was quiet but it was a Sunday night. Service unobtrusive yet attentive. Fabulously freshly cooked food at reasonable price. Loved it.

Lleva tu propio alcohol pero creo que mantendremos en frío en la nevera. Tienen llevar figura en el menú ofrece. Utilizamos una de estas. Gran relación calidad-precio, entrega rápida y disfrutamos de nuestra comida.

Rice was stale and smelt bad. Curries were tasteless and extremely watery. The meat was tough and full of fat.

Used to be at the Balti Towers all of the time and food always used to be good. Not great, but good - especially after a few drinks. But the takeaway I had last night was terrible. Lukewarm, tasteless curry, dry rice, undercooked naan and the 'customer service' from the guy at front of house was terrible. They added 10 minutes to my collection time too so I would have expected something a bit better than what I got. Waste of money and will give this establishment a wide berth next time. Yuk.

Rogan Josh was tasteless., more like gravy. I've never experienced anything like it before. Poppadoms were stale. Wife's Biryani with vegetable curry good though.

Not as tasty as last time. the corma wasn't as flavourful or as thick. The Kashmiri was very nice. Onion Bahjis are normal more crispy and not sat in oil. It was ok but there's definitely room for improvement. Your normally 3 star food but tonight it's a 4.

Por fin llegó la comida y no me impresionó en absoluto, muy aguados casi cualquier carne en la salsa. Mi queja principal era que me senté en mi abrigo para toda nuestra experiencia gastronómica ya que estaba totalmente helada! ! Incluso mi pareja y su hermana tuvieron que poner allí abrigos. No podía esperar a salir. Por desgracia, no volveré, pero gracias por hacernos sentir bienvenidos.

We love the balti great food and really reasonable prices. Really nice atmosphere the staff are friendly and never seem to rush you.

The korma was delicious, just a shame about the rest: poppadoms were soft, mango chutney was watery and peshwari naan was terrible - not sweet at all as described, more like a small chewy plain naan with a few sultanas thrown in. Won't be ordering from here again.

Wouldn't order from here again. The food was edable but not great, found the Korma to be far more oily than creamy as would of expected. The cheese and garlic naan was a lot of garlic but no cheese to be seen and very flat and dry, the onion bahjas was ok but not as expected. First time having Indian take away in Coalville and unfortunatly will be the last time from this restaurant.

The Balti serves great food at a great price. They've been open for years and we've never had any issues! The staff are lovely and polite too! :)

Good food delivered quick. Not oily and there was plenty of meat unlike Chilli n Spice in Swannington who charge a fortune for 2 pieces of meat in a gallon of sauce.

The Sunday buffet says EAT ALL YOU WANTWe had to wait until the food had been cooked and then there was two tables told that the starters were ready, there was not even enough for three people let alone six.worse still it was only just warm.Went to get seconds and there was no starters available.Th main course was the same, very little food available and again just warm, not really hot.We asked for a jug of water which just came out the tap and was about as warm as the food. no ice in the jug.the service was very poor and we couldn't get the attention of the waiter who spent more time doing deliveries, going out and coming back ten minutes later.We would probably have had more food if we had ordered a takeawayVery disappointed and now remember why we usually go to the Bujhon just down the road.Everything was really unacceptable. came out still hungry, won't be going again.

The Balti tower has been a local landmark for many years, but foolishly whenever I visited my parents I never seemed to get round to trying it.When meeting up with long-lost friends a few months ago, we agreed to meet for an evening meal on a Sunday. Sunday evenings they offer you an 'all you can eat buffet'. This is a great way to try and sample dishes if you're not naturally a hot-spicey food lover.You're also allowed to bring your own alcohol, which I know for many: is a huge bonus.The waiting staff are warm, friendly, hospitable and accommodating. The artwork on the wall is second-to-none and is honestly not something those of us who grew up in Coalville would expect to see in Coalville. It's evocative, authentic and truly an escape from every day life. It is busy enough not to feel like you're the only people talking but not so crammed you can't hear yourself think: the perfect balance.I have recommended this restaurant to friends and family and would commend it to strangers too. They also offer a hearty takeaway menu and go above and beyond with their delivery service, too. My dad once ordered via JustEat.com and decided to pay with cash on the door. He didn't have enough money and they were happy for him and come and settle-up the next day.

Visited early on Saturday. Like others have said place looks a bit shabby from outside but nice and bigger than expected inside. Warm welcome and as we were 1st customers that evening could choose our table. Menu is pretty standard. Bit of a wait between courses but dishes obviously prepared fresh and cant fault the food at all. Main courses seemed quite mild but rather have it like that so you can taste the curry. Service very friendly in relaxed environment. By the time we left the restaurant was getting busier. Will defo return especially as it is very good value.

I do enjoy the Balti Towers. It isn't the height of luxury but it is good food and lots of it for a reasonable price. You can take your own beer too which is a bonus if you're on a budget. Have enjoyed many meals here. Service can be a little slow when busy though.

It is easy to dismiss this place when looking from the outside. No frills etc. The fact you have to bring you own drink is great, saves £££ on the bill. The food was good, better than expected! It was brought out all in good time with no forced friendliness which was actually quite nice..... Just get the job done.Overall, the value for money wins here!
