I had a fabulous 40th birthday party at the Balcombe Club last weekend. The staff were amazing from start to finish, communication was great, the buffet, which include vegan food, was so tasty and everything was set up for us when we arrived so no stress! Dj was great (organised by venue) bar staff lovely and friendly and very reasonably priced too! Lots of friends came from London and Brighton by train as its just a short walk from the station to the venue. And they took delivery of cake and decorations in the day when we weren't there. I'll be back for my 50th! Thanks so much Vicky, Richard and the whole team.

My two friends and I had our 40th Birthday bash at the Balcombe Club last weekend and I cannot speak highly enough of Richard, Vicky and the whole team at the Balcombe Club. The party was so stress free as they helped to organise all the food (including vegan food for my vegan friends) the dj, and the whole venue was set up with tables, chairs, a dancing area and everything we needed. The staff on the night were great, helping to ensure we had a super party. Really good valve for money to! Thanks so much to all, Heather

Had an amazing afternoon here. Staff, Becky and Ollie, were very welcoming and friendly. The food was delicious and the sevice was faultless. There were games tables and a dart board available, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The club was clean and tidy and the toilets were spotless. Will definitely visit again.

Since Micki left, this place just doesn’t have the same ambiance to it. It’s a shame. Good luck though, it’s a fantastic club, with a great community. Not sure current Management are as experienced. Here’s hoping 🤣

We booked the Forest Room for my father's wake after having the cremation in Crawley. It was the perfect venue. The staff were very accommodating and we had a cold light buffet with teas, coffees and drinks. It was so reasonably priced. It was a very sad occasion but ended with a lovely get together. Highly recommend this place. They also have a much bigger hall to book if there are more people. The Forest Room had a vintage cafe feel and was ideal for our group of 30 or so people. Thank you.

Visit with Burgess Hill Heritage and History Association to this impressive village community hall with its outstanding and moving 1920's mural by artist Neville Lytton. Victory Hall was built to commemorate the villagers who fought and those who gave their lives in World War I. The artist himself had served in the Great War himself. Excellent talk and coffee too. The village has a long history and more to it than you would imagine from quickly passing through as I have done in the past. The community have recently bought the village pub to save it from closure so that's a good starting point for a visit.

I've been to the Balcombe Club a few times for various reasons and have always found it to be a thoroughly welcoming place with great facilities. As always, the staff are what make it and they're all lovely. We went to one of the evening events before lockdown and it was such a great atmosphere. Oh, and the breakfasts are wonderful!

A very versatile venue that caters for everyday punters who want a pint or some food, or putting on music events or community events. Plenty of room to have spread out tables and plenty of airflow so you don't feel claustrophobic. Lovely staff that make you feel right at home.

Am a member of the Victory Players who regularly meet and perform at the Hall. We would welcome everyone interested in joining us, either in an on or off stage capacity. Balcombe is a friendly village, and everyone is welcomed.

We had our daughter’s baby shower in the clubs function room. It was the perfect space and a lovely venue. Thank you to Micky the new manager for being so accommodating and friendly. We have booked the room again for March. If you want somewhere for that special something give the club some thought. Thank you.

Balcombe Club is always buzzing with top entertainment and a friendy welcome. The Club is open to all reisdents of Balcome and others are welcome to visit and enjoy the low pices for drinks at the bar.

Always friendly welcoming and excellent service and prices

We had our wedding reception at the Victory Hall and Balcombe Social Club in August. Luckily the sun was shining down and we were able to use all of the venue's facilities, from the main hall, the function room, snooker room, bar and garden. It meant that our guests were able to enjoy all the venue had to offer. There was a stage in the main hall where our DJ was able to set up all evening and it would have been a great wedding venue if there was a band. The catering company we hired were really happy with the venue having 2 kitchens at their disposal. The venue staff were super helpful in the build up to the wedding and on the night itself, with over 100 guests we never saw anyone waiting to be served. Thank you to the whole team, from Richard (our main contact) and all the staff, we had a great night and looking forward to coming to your gigs soon.

I came to visit some friends who live in balcombe and they brought me to the balcombe club. What a marvellous social club it was with extremely polite and friendly staff, cheap drinks and great music. 10/10 would recommend if you find yourself deep in the West Sussex countryside!

Richard and staff,put on excellent bands,on a frequent basis and the Open Mike is a monthly event.Really good stuff.Well worth logging onto the site,to see who’s next.None should be missed...Beers and drinkys,first class,cheaper than pubs.Club is in the village centre,not hard to find.

Whether it’s for a drink with family or a dance with friends you won’t be disappointed. It’s been decorated really nicely, the min hall is a work of art/ history, the drinks are great and very reasonably priced, the food is yum and the outdoor area is really open and comfortable. It’s a hidden gem!

We had our wedding reception in Victory Hall and the Balcombe Club, it couldn't have gone any better! Great venue, great beer, the manager and staff here are incredible. Went out of their way to make sure we had a great day.

We came back to the club for another fantastic music night. How this club puts on events of this caliba I don't know.

Great place to do pound classes on a tuesday evening.

The hall is an amazing resource. There is a welcoming bar area where you spend hours staring at the ceiling reading the LP covers. To rest you sore neck progress into the main hall There is a large stage but what takes your breath away are the frescos on the wall. These were commissioned by Lady Denman, founder of the WI. They show WW1 scenes in muted colours and are thought provoking.

We are never supprised at how good this village club is. The entertainment is surreal for its location. We are informed that in August they have Glen Matlock and Earl Slick. Slick played with David Bowie.

A real treasure of a village hall. Real care and craft was lavished on it construction and decorations to commemorate the locals who fought and died in the First World War. The highlight is of course Neville Lytton's superb frescoes, nearly 100 years old and as stunning today as when they were first painted. A credit to the volunteers who look after them.

Came to charity night raising money for st Catherine’s great atmosphere , all well organised and great Gins

Went to the Thai evening last night with family and friends. There was a good choice of starters and mains, so something for everyone. The staff were very friendly and attentive - definitely service with a smile. I think we all had something different and everyone enjoyed their meals. The dishes were very generous in size and great value. Great prices for the drinks as well. Hopefully they will do something like this again as we would definitely go.

The Balcombe Club is in the heart of Balcombe, a short walk from the railway station. It has a great range of beers, spirits and wines, with food served on Fridays. A friendly atmosphere and very inexpensive. A pleasant garden for the warmer months.

A venue with a bar and plenty of space. In the summer they do films and quizzes. Cheap to hire and plenty of parking. Rural splendor at it's best. Friday 1pm has fish and chip van on site

This is a fantastic club. Great beer well kept. Fantastic events wth regular live music and stand-up comedy. Entertaining locals, fantastic staff. This is a great benefit to the village and is one of the reasons it's a pleasure to live in this beautiful Sussex village.

I was invited there by a friend, as we approached I thought what am I doing, however once in, I was welcomed, into a thriving friendly community club.........and enjoyed it !

Small music venue/pub. Nice & cozy with restaurant. Haven't tried the food - nice aroma from the kitchen though.

We have just spent a lovely afternoon in the Balcombe club garden. Lovely decking area and comfortable lounge chairs are in the peaceful garden away from the buzz of the road. Sunny and shaded areas plus room for the children to play. Sipping speciality gins and cooling pints make for a great afternoon. Very reasonably priced compared to the local village pub which was a bit over priced £9.00 ish for a large glass of wine! Also sits right on a road junction. The club has a great inside area too. Very spacious and tastefully decorated. Good walking area with beautiful countryside. What better place to refresh and relax those tired legs? Friday evening menu was tempting with Paella on the specials board. We have also been to a few band nights which have been exceptional for a local club. Check out their website. Non members are made very welcome. Balcombe residents are very lucky. Wish we had as good a social club as Balcombe has. It's a definite must visit if you are in the area.

I have been associated with the Balcombe Club for well over 30 years so i guess you might say i am biased but what that longevity indicates is just how wonderful the Club is and how lucky we are in Balcombe to have one of the few examples of such a village club within the county. Displaying a history back to 1902 the club mixes a relaxing atmosphere within a traditional building albeit with a modern relaxing decoration and furnishings. In recent years the club has become a entertainment venue for such bands as The Blockheads , Dr Feelgood , Paul young and Los Pacaminos, with acts to come soon including the Kast Off Kinks. When you add to that the excellent cooking of our new Spanish chef and the cheap prices for all drinks, not to mention a restaurant , snooker room and extensive garden it all adds up to a rather wonderful place to spend an evening. Use it before you lose it.

We recently visited the Balcombe Club on a Friday night when they do food, had a delicious Paella ( a regular addition to their already good Friday night food ). Also good gin menu and prices. they have a new outside seating area at the back which is lovely for summer days/evenings. Visited Balcombe club for comedy night and bands, it’s a great venue for both with plenty of space and seating available.

Great place for a gig, sound is awesome and the drinks are reasonably priced. The bar staff were very friendly.

You are supposed to be a member buy someone will always vouch for you and sign you in. By London prices the drinks are extremely cheap and there's a great selection of Gins and good range of beers. Clean and comfortable with friendly staff. Well worth searching out if you are ever in the village.

Great family friendly club with good facilities

This club is without doubt one of the best clubs in Sussex. Welcoming. Incredibly cheap. Clean modern style with a bit of retro. Great bands both well known and fantastic up and coming new talent. Comedy club

Club manager Richard generously allows our club for people with young onset dementia to meet in the Forest Room on a Thursday. We get tea provided and get to use all the club facilities. He’s put an individual stamp on the decor and we are always made to feel very welcome. He gets some pretty good bands in too! An unusually good village club.

El club está dirigido por un tipo llamado Richard Cooper. El lugar en sí es grande, con muchos asientos. Ofrece algo para todos, desde jugadores de billar o snooker, a través de un bar grande y bien equipada a través de secciones reservadas para reuniones más grandes de pósters bajo sedante Quadrophenia y mesas redondas alcoba. No estoy seguro de sus ofrendas terriblemente comida pero el bar era bastante - bien con un grupo de lo que confío son un grupo o gente que no dudamos en recomendar algunas cervezas que disfruté muchísimo. Si estás en esta parte de Sussex y buscando ideas realmente, no recomiendo el Club bslcombe.

A Members club but non members very welcome for £1, newly refurbished great atmosphere, very friendly bar staff, wide range of beers etc, no chef at mo but that will be rectified shortly, families very welcome, restaurant available for hire, gigs from time to time, recent gigs have seen The Blockheads & Dr Feelgood playing, highly recommended

The club has now been totally refurbished in a contemporary fashion , with new leather seating, modern lighting and fresh paintwork , They now have some new staff , who are both engaging and very professional , They still run top class entertainment and make every one welcome , well worth a visit

if you are looking for good beer, nice food and a warm atmosphere, this club is just right. Traditional, clean and welcoming, The Balcombe Club is a good place to go. You don't need to be a member and it felt welcoming.

Balcombe Club is a friendly club not just for members, it does great, good value food especially Sunday Lunch. It also has some brilliant entertainment nights, we recently went to see Dr Feelgood here on Saturday Night which was excellent, keep a look out for up and coming entertainment dates, they have a great group New Years Eve.

My husband and I came down to Balcombe to stay with some friends, we decided to stay local and went to the Club for dinner. I had Cod and Chips and my husband had the special which was steak pie. Both meals were fantastic, and the atmosphere in their very Christmassy restaurant was spot on The staff were all lovely and very welcoming, all round a very good evening.

Have been using the Balcombe Club For many years , it was and still is a great venue for music and comedy , but now with the newly refurbished restaurant and new Head Chef William Mallet , it is complete , Great food , inexpensive , great atmosphere , cheap drink and very friendly staff both in restaurant and bar
