Very impressed with the freshness and quality of the food for such a good price! We will be back. The food is beyond what we expected for the venue (which is a little tired) but can see the potential for some great summer days with loads of room to play for the kids outside and so much to see st the weekend with the microlights.

If you are arrivng on two wheels, don't expect a smooth ride! We arrived on motorbikes and just managed to stay upright on the "rubble/chippings". How you could advertise this for cyclists I've no idea! Anyway, in we went to discover that the Chef has been gone since January so no food apart from some biscuits possibly a cake (but didn't see any) and coffee and tea. Oh and the website update to explain the current situation was met with a shoulder shrug. So it looked great last year but not now!

Looking for a good breakfast before heading back to Sussex having been on holiday in the Peak District we stumbled upon the Aviator Cafe. We received a very warm welcome and had a great breakfast, hard to fault! Would definitely recommend and would return if we were in the area again.

We went on a dog walk in the area (amazing walks very close to the airfield where the cafe is) and visited the cafe for a hot chocolate and a slice of cake on our way home. However, we were so hungry and the food looked great so we stayed for lunch which was delicious (I had the homemade quiche and my friends had the jacket potato). The homemade cakes (made on site) were particularly good! Will definitely be going back, especially as they are dog friendly and we had the added bonus of watching the planes taking off from the airfield as we tucked into our lunch.

A cyclists need for good cake and great coffee is as important as the ride! This is a great find, work is be carried out on the path leading in, spoke with manager loads planned. Outstanding quite routes to and fro. Well worth the stop.

This is a gem of a cafe in an area where there is a real shortage of places to stop and eat. It's a lovely part of the world to ride a bike and having a cafe so close to the Darley Moor racing circuit, well known to cyclists, is extremely handy. The cafe is very spacious and sits on the edge of an active airfield where there are light aircraft and para gliders in action. You can sit indoors or on the decked area outside with views across the runway. The menu offered covers all the breakfast, lunch and sandwich variables but more importantly to any passing cyclists, a selection of very healthy home baked cakes that would put Mr Kipling to shame. Friendly service, good food, great cake and coffee and a quirky location on the airfield. Plenty of room to put your bikes and leave them safely. Highly recommended for a lunch stop or afternoon cake and coffee.

Called in for an ice cream this afternoon - salted caramel and a bubble gum. Overall quick service and tasted fine.

We recently stayed locally for two nights and ate at the Miner’s Arms both nights. Nic was so friendly and helpful. The food was delicious on the first night but on bonfire night, we ordered the greedy Greek platter on Nic’s recommendation and it was excellent! Delicious food, really dog friendly and very welcoming. We’ll be back!

We were staying close by so popped in for breakfast on a Sunday morning. Service was a little slow initially and they did get my own order wrong, however the manager could not have been more apologetic so first class customer service. The food was lovely when it arrived and the coffee was great also.

Another great 2nd Saturday afternoon of the month at the Plough. The Panther Owners Club section meeting. We even had several Panthers today. Very friendly staff look after an unruly bunch of bikers with beer or coffee for those riding plus chip butties. Always a great day, thanks go to all concerned. Lesser makes of bike accepted.
