Always gorgeous food and fab service. Chef Lee himself came to speak to my daughter to create her own burger as he overheard her saying what she wanted wasn't on the menu. You couldn't ask for better service! Can't wait to return!

Food was lovely, plenty of it. The ribs are very nice, best to pre order it a day in advance as it's very popular and can run out. The same for the lobster.

Two stars as the staff were lovely and the pub was dog friendly. However, very disappointed with the breakfast. For the price £9 the bacon was undercooked , cheap tasting sausage (gave to dog) egg over done , mushrooms tasted funny like out of a tin , stale bread . Hash brown was okay . Tea was very nice until I discovered the bottom of the inside of the mug was dirty . Place could do with a make over .. very dark inside n strange wedding like ceiling deco… lighten the place up n change things up a bit n it would look fab .Best bit of visit was the lovely polite lady who served us.

The staff were really friendly but the breakfast was very poor quality for the amount of money it cost. My partners Bacon wasn’t cooked properly. Tin tomatoes were cold. Mushrooms wasn’t fresh. They were tinned. Eggs over cooked. Bread was stale. Would of rather had toast. My black pudding was burnt. My partners was under cooked. Cups were dirty inside. Didn’t know this until I drunk my tea. Made me feel sick. No wonder you only had three tables in for breakfast. Decor made the room feel very dark. My bill was £22 a lot of money for a vey disappointing breakfast😟

The food is extremely tasty and well cooked. The service was appalling. The place was virtually empty and still somehow the army of people in the team managed to ignore us consistently. We gave up trying to order more drinks and deserts.

Sunday roast with family yesterday one of the best I’ve had

Popped in for lunch, quiet in the restaurant however the food was fantastic! Well worth a visit, my thanks to the staff for making us feel welcome.

This place is great for booking venues, having a spot to eat or just one of them casual ones. Highly recommend the aviator for its ice cold drinks and friendly staff.

Visited for the first time tonight. A lot of people had the same idea. Despite being busy the staff were absolutely fantastic and very friendly, Julie and the other young lady bent over backwards to accommodate all 10 of us. Lovely food, lovely staff. Thank you very much.

On Fathers Day, I managed to get a last minute reservation for 4 at 4pm, which I was grateful for. Our initial experience was good, we were quickly shown to our table , handed menu's and were served with drinks....then within a short time our food order was taken, from that point the service seriously went down hill...considering the resteraunt was not even half full we waited for over an hour for 2 roast dinners and 2 steak meals. Although the long wait the food was very good... within a short time the plates were cleared and we waited for someone to come to the table with the dessert menu, this never happened, we waited a further 45 minutes before getting them and that was only because my father went to the toilet and asked for them, at this point there was only 2 tables occupied in the resteraunt, ours being one of them...we again had to wait quite a while for the desserts to arrive and when they did we only received 3.....eventually we got the attention of a waitress and said we was short a dessert so she went off and in a short time it arrived only to be served in a cereal bowl and looked like it had just been tossed in and some cream was squirted on top.... Whilst finishing up my wife left a comment on the pubs Facebook page commenting on the poor service ...when we went to the bar to pay the bill we found a couple of the waitresses reading the post and whilst we were paying one of them then started looking through my wife's Facebook page, I know this because I could see a picture of my son and i on her phone..... I find this totally unacceptable and unprofessional... Our overall experience took 2½ hours for 2 courses we didnt even get offered coffee, we wouldn't of had time even if we had time even ...........

Ordered drinks then waited an hour to be served with lunch. Lunch came soon after we complained, but I can only say food was very poor and out of four people no one finished their meal. Very disappointing 😒

One waitress was amazing. Unfortunately other younger one was only interested in her friends!! Management clearly not bothered. Left all the work to the poor waitress who did amazing by herself. Note to the amazing waitress. Move on you are better than where you are. We would never go back. Treated her like a slave!!!!

Went there for a Family Meal considering there were adults and children to cater for and everyone wanted something different from the menus to bring it all together for such a large group theu did exceptionally well.

Oh dear so new too the island we gave the place a go hoping it would become our regular Sunday roast go too however,we booked and was seated quickly and ordered drinks and went for the 3 course menu we were told that lots of things were unavailable so plumped for pate starters after waiting we when then told only one portion was avaliable,half an hour after eating we saw people who come in after us getting served pate so bit strange,the main come out a roast which again was abit limited as some meats unavailable we had the gammon is was very salty but too my taste it was ok,however too salty for my dining companion,we then waited and asked 4 times for our deserts which we ordered before our starters too be told eventually that mine had gone again to a diner that arrived after us,my companion then decided to cancel hers but they decided to charge us and insisted we had eaten it eventually our waitress informed them that we hadn't eaten it,also charged for a glass of water not bottled,the meal what we had was overall tasty but the service was unreal and spoilt it completely,also the toilet was completely blocked up with a previous diners digested meal although the amount and stench it may have a been a dinosaurs,place other than that was clean although the table cloth was very stained with what I hope was gravy stains,i think better staff training and better cleaning is needed

Have been a couple of times outside of tourist season. The food is filling and not small on portion sizes. My only 2 not so positive comments are it seems to lack an atmosphere and both visits given a list of items out of stock including steak.

The best food I had in years! Brisket was cooked to perfection and delicious sides. Good portions and price. Service was great, quick and very friendly. Thank you sooo much

We had a takeaway Roast Turkey, it was delicious, plenty of turkey very tasty, good mixture of vegetables and 5 potatoes each, plus plenty of gravy, well worth not cooking thankyou

The place has a great atmosphere, the staff is super kind and the prices are really good. We where surprised by how "low" the prices where while the portions of food where more than enough. The chicken wings for starters and the pork ribs for main are the best things you can get. The brisket was nice as well, only a bit too much BBQ saus on that.

First time visiting the area and came here with my children and family. The food was amazing and fantastic value for money. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Will definitely pay a visit next time I'm in the area.

Prompt, friendly service, fantastic meal. Lovely smoky, spicy chicken wings. Huge portion of brisket, which was absolutely delicious and the BBQ baked beans with burnt ends were amazing! The potato skins were outrageously good too. Will definitely be back!

Had the most amazing meal last Friday, both service and food was top class. We shared the Tbone steak and it was the best steak I've ever had! It's not cheap but so nice for a real treat.

Gutted. Came out for Mother’s Day. First impressions left standing waiting for our table whilst they cleared and set it, got to the table and had no cutlery. toilets were dirty and dusty had to change my daughter on the floor! because no baby change. Showed to our table said could we have a minute as needed to choose for 5 kids. 15 minutes later had to go and find someone as we were left in the corner. Asked for a high chair and had to ask multiple times. I ordered a roast.. biggest mistake ever. Reheated potatoes, beef and stuffing everything hard and like cardboard potatoes also had a really weird taste. Paid extra for cauliflower cheese the best part of the meal. Kids burger was the tiniest bit of beef in a huge bun which looked ridiculous it looks like one burger ripped into two. When we sat down we were told what they didn’t have left so My husband wanted a t bone, then to be told they didn’t have any, then ribeye she went away came back and said don’t have that either have all other steaks no fillet then was given two sirloins instead...safe to say there’s a reason why he didn’t want this. Paid an extra £6 for KING prawns, these were tiny cheap prawns and not great. Kids meal came without beans, finally got them and the pot was read hot for a child. Asked for ketchup was empty given another also empty. To be honest I’m really disappointed and gutted will definitely never go back. This was a lot of money for a family of 7, we havnt been for a meal for a very long time and wanted to celebrate to be left feeling this way The nicest bit were the halloumi fries In response to your reply . You were that busy that you remember one family …you asked for drinks but with no menu so we said we would wait until we sat down and even when we did we were still offered no drinks menu. we did not ask for 10 minutes we said give us a minute. I asked a member of staff with a pack of wipes and a nappy in my hand where I can change my daughter and I was told to the right down the step thankyou very much ! I did not leave the nappy on the floor and never would I left it on top of the bin as it would not fit inside and there was no other bins provided. We should not have to complain in front of our children and being busy is not an excuse for your food being that awful if you can’t prepare fresh decent food you shouldn’t have a restaurant… My husband said “it was ok” out of politeness

Brilliant breakfast. Had one of the new muffins that were available. Tasted great and arrived quick and hot. Definitely be coming again.

Great pub meal last night, well cooked hot food and very helpful staff when I went off menu. Will defo visit again. Only critique would be its a little dark for old eyes n we’d prefer white tablecloths. Other than that all good

Lovely pub with nice welcoming staff and good food with generous portions. Great Geleto Ice cream Counter too if you have room for a dessert. It was Dog friendly, which was a bonus as found it hard to find decent places to take my dog. Coming from London I found this sea side town of Leysdown a bit disappointing but defo worth a little drive to the Aviator

A lovely looking pub inside and out with plenty of parking. Food looked good and reasonably priced. My only complaint would be the empty bottles of jagermeister on the tables made it look tacky, I understand they served a purpose with the table numbers on but they could have put some lights in the bottles or a candle in the top to make it look fitting with the rest of the decore, rather than just an empty bottle.

Good food, infact a lovely meal. The Guinness tasted like the first pint poured that day, any Guinness drinker will tell you that is not the best pint. Otherwise, a good visit.

I came into this pub and had a drink in the early afternoon before I had to go in town. All was good, amazing service 🙂 However in the night time just before I arrived I got spiked on pre drinks (a test confirmed this - that I had benzodiazepines in my system (I don't take any tablets). It was a horrific night and I was all over the place. Ill never forget such a scary experience of being out of control of my body and actions. Luckily some lovely people made sure I got home. I came in a couple days later and thanked them for making sure I was safe and okay. A couple weeks later I came in and got told by a lady I wasn't welcome because of that night. In front of people. It was very embarrassing. My autism doesn't help either. Bottom line, people please never leave a drink unintended! It could save your life. 💜

Seemed pleasant . Food good - service good . Didn't mind that we lingered post prandiam . Will have a look at one of their comedy nights ( which was on in the other room ) .

Went here for Sunday dinner with my siblings, We was a big group of 26 and to be honest we always struggle to get somewhere to eat because of the amount of us! First of all they had no issue with our group size which was fantastic! Normally our food comes all over but I was so surprised!….they feed us all together piping hot and no one forgot and the food was lovely! Veg perfect meat good too! Starters were really nice prawns were yummmm! We was over the moon with how they pulled it off! It really made the afternoon pleasurable! Guys thank you so much! We will definitely be coming again!

Good service pub and restaurant

The clean table cloths looked a bit grubby, but the food was still surprisingly good 👍 Service was OK, no complaints, reasonably quick turn around. I came here one before about 10 years back, food was good back then too. The place is looking a little tired, with some table surfaces getting that slightly sticky feel from years of wiping down quickly.

Went to the new Italian night last night. Atmosphere great, staff friendly and helpful but most importantly the food was delicious! Will definately go back when they do the next one.

Had 20 people booked for a 21st birthday meal. The service was excellent and the food all came out at the same time. The quality of the food was fantastic. I had the ribeye steak and I got to say it's definitely in the top 5 of steaks I've ever had

This is a reasonable enough Shepherd Neame pub, but didn't realise seem to capitalise on its name or the heritage of the area, so didn't really seem to stand out. Service was reasonable, but not exceptional and it was very quiet on our visit, so I would certainly have expected such.

The food was great with large portions. The staff were very welcoming. Unfortunately several items were off the menu so I will try again to have the smoked brisket.

Cheap frozen food. Rack of ribs was dry and steak was overdone and tasteless. Even the scampi which is usually a safe bet was un-appetizing. Won't be returning.

Well what can you say about The Aviator, cannot move as so full and taking away 2 doggy bags full of food. Great good, great value and great staff. Definitely visit and enjoy 😉

I asked for a bog standard beef burger god knows what I got it was so spicy my mouth was on fire, I'd asked for plain bog standard for a reason, when i asked i got told the spices in it but no im sorry you wernt informed or nothing, I still had to pay for it too even tho I ate like 2 bites, my daughters sausage was burnt and untouched needles to say I Did not go back

Took my elderly mother for Sunday roast. The menu was confusing to say the least. When we did order our food it arrived cold and the roast beef was as tough as old boots. Not wishing to make a scene we carried on eating. When asked by the waitress if it was ok, I was polite and said “I’ve had better”. She didn’t respond and walked off. We pretty much gave up on the meal and another more senior member of staff came over and asked if we wanted the desert menu. We declined and then she asked if everything was ok. I decided to be honest and I said we were disappointed as the food was served cold and wasn’t very good. I said I wasn’t asking for a refund and would pay but that it had been a disappointing experience. The lady then decides to argue back at me claiming I’d told her colleagues it was lovely. I had not. I find the fact she wanted to argue back more annoying than the disappointing food. We will not be back! Poor quality food and even worse customer service in a disappointing environment. Avoid this place!

I am so very excited to write a review about The Aviator! There really is something for everyone, whether you want comforting food, lamb shank, liver or bangers and mash etc., something a little more 'up market' like T bone steak etc., a roast dinner...

Just had a lovely Mother’s Day afternoon tea here, table was beautifully presented with a good selection of cakes and sandwiches, glass of Prosecco on arrival and plenty of tea! The two lads that served us made sure we were topped up with tea and regularly checking to see if everything was ok. A lovely afternoon, thank you!
