Brilliant friendly local pub, all the staff are great, sadly no hot food but great seafood outside

Bar staff are friendly and funny if you get to know them 😁🤣 .

I love this pub. My husband and I love driving to Leysdown just to sit outside this pub with a few drinks and eating seafood. The staff are all lovely, the position of the pub is perfect as it is at the top of the main road that goes down to the beach and lots of outdoor seating for when the sun is out.

New years eve eas ruined as I was attacked physically by one of their locals. Avoid like the plague.

Went to a family party there and the manager was pukka, the staff were friendly and on point a little out of the way if your not on the holiday park, but would go back.

This is a standard local pub, it can be very cold at times, they do not serve food, there is a seafood wagon in the car park area, expect a lot of swearing, by the locals and bar staff, I found this pub very friendly

Friendly local pub £4.60 a pint of Stella as opposed to holiday park next door which was £5.70 for a pint of peroni lager!

Horrible I would never ever in my entire life go back there the children are outrageous. They say very unpolite words and throw drinks at you. The owner of the Pubs dog bit my finger, I was sitting down and I felt something touch me and I saw the dog biting my finger I don’t think this is acceptable also the bartenders of this establishment were very rude. I asked for 2 fosters, 2 packets of vinegar crisps and I was greeted with “give me your card” and I said “okay here you go” and they didn’t give it back to me for ten minutes I asked may I have my card back and they rudely told me to wait. Also the people that lived upstairs were throwing rappers, and peices of broken glasses, etc and it was absolutely outrageous. I would never in my entire life. Go there again. The food was horrible, I had a dinner with my husband and the food was absolutely disgusting. There was dog hairs in in my gravy and the carrots are very hard the potatoes had green bits and had a bits sticking out of the potato, it’s was also hard the peas were cold, all of the vegetables were hard and cold I would never recommend this service. There was horrible atmosphere, there was horrible people that would hit me with their arm multiple times as they walked passed and wouldn’t say sorry, the food was horrible. I would never wish anyone to come here wouldn’t even put 1 star

Sat outside and while it is comfortable and nice to sit in the sun, it was not particularly inviting.

Staff friendly this place is, spotlessly clean. The best time to visit is when the sun's out and the DJ/kareoko man is playing all the 70s and 80s floor fillers, he will even get up on the table have a dance and swing his top at round his head. Great fun

Friendly people in this pub very busy but it was late afternoon on a Friday not a lot of chairs for disabled but a very kind regular gave his seat up for me when he realised there was no way my derrier was getting on a stool lol. Toilet a bit of a walk lol

Dreadful pub. Refused entry as we had children with us so sat outside in cold weather. Behind the bar was what we assumed to be the landlady in her pyjamas who passed a young baby over the bar. On the plus we had a lovely chat with some local regulars who stepped out for a cigarette. Would not return

reliving the old rave days here they have put a sign up saying people dancing on tables at there own risk L.O.L but the music is so good you just can not help it the man plays some great tunes on sunday afternoon great fun reliving our youth

Staying at the holiday park in leysdown we decided to pop in here for a drink after a gamble in the amusement arcades. A nice sunny warm Saturday so we sat outside, this is a proper seaside boozer, no nonsense, quick service and good prices. Friendly staff and even friendlier regulars. Everyone here loves a drink and laugh, music was pumping out the speakers by the resident DJ which made for a great atmosphere. No food is served here apart from some excellent looking rolls but food stalls in the outside front beer garden served pie n mash and fresh seafood both doing a good trade. You must remember that leysdown is a traditional seaside resort, cheap n cheerful if a bit rough round the edge’s and this pub is exactly what the visitors to leysdown want. We had an amazing time here and what turned out to be a quick drink turned out to be a full on session. Superb!

On a busy day outside seating are may to some look a little tired. Inside it was fantastically clean and tidy.

I saw the reviews on here and was a bit dubious on entering. The barmaid couldn't have been more pleasant. Service was efficient even with the table service. I returned the next day alone to watch the England v Germany game. When I went to sit in a quiet corner a local couple invited me to sit with them. I went and sat with them for a better view. Had a thoroughly pleasant evening chatting between the football. I am staying next door on the caravan park. I am not a local. Whenever you walk in any strange pub people look. It is natural even I am guilty of doing it in my local. Not to the point of being intimidating. Whenever I see reviews I have to make my own opinion. In my experience I have been in a lot worse. Always find if I am polite majority of the time people are back. This was the case here. I do not know or have any connection with the proprietor. I haven't been to leysdown for 42 years came here as a kid. All I can say is give it a try if you don't like it leave.

Walked in on an early Monday evening as we had just arrived to the holiday park next door. The locals turned and stared at us like we were aliens, but hey god forbid someone they don’t know walks in. We we’re looking for somewhere to have a nice dinner and they had “Curry Night Wednesday’s” advertised on the main door. The bar maid sauntered over and looked at us displeasingly. I asked what time they stop serving food to which she looks at my son (15yrs) looks back and me and says “Err we don’t serve food” :-/ Google reviews would imply that they do serve food so not really sure why she said they don’t. There was nothing further offered like “we don’t serve food since covid, or we only serve food Wednesdays” it was a simple we don’t serve food. I said okay, thanks and left. I don’t know if it’s because we were outsiders or hey maybe it’s because my son is mixed raced who knows but we didn’t hang around to find out.

Honestly I have never been to a place like it... the lady that served us has an awful attitude and blatantly ignored us 4 times when we tried to order drinks repeatedly, she then snapped at us saying “what do you want, ive got other customers waiting” which was incredibly rude considering we’d already bought rounds and spent money i the pub. Customer service -10 out of 10! Would never return!

We had a brilliant Saturday lunch time at the rose and crown and met a few happy face seen over a year ago because of Covid So we be back

We visited the pub for a drink while staying next door at Harts holiday park. We were made to feel very welcome and the table service was very well organized. They had lots of tables outside so if the weather was nice you could sit outside.
