A bright and spacious coffee shop set in a great department store selling beauty furniture (however always with sale prices which I am not convinced about). The sandwiches could do with being made with a better selection and quality of bread. Also the salad garnish has not changed in years - a bit of lettuce, large slice of dry cucumber, a couple of rings of red onion and tasteless cherry tomatoes with a choice of sachet mayo or salad cream. You also get a small pile of crisps. I would love to see this improved and offered a pile of mixed salad leaves and a nice salad dressing.

I travel quite some way just to come here and have a coffee and a cake or lunch. The food is always good, the staff friendly and the surroundings clean and pleasant.

Fantastic to see this cafe re-open after this dreaded virus hit us all. Of its type it is quiet, bright, airy and has a great light lunch menu including jacket potatoes, panninis, a soup of the day plus a few other dishes. The dishes are presented very well with a lovely fresh salad garnish. The cake selection is also very nice for this type of establishment. The staff are very helpful, cheerful and always serve with a smile. Needless to say I am a regular visitor here - no need for me to go elsewhere as I have tried most other places in Horley and this is by far the best...

I've stopped at the Atrium several times now, whilst shopping in Collingwood Batchellor. It is a spacious, light cafe and has the added benefit of opening on Sundays. It offers a selection of cakes and traybakes, as well as light lunches, such as jacket potatoes and toasted sandwiches. Both the portion sizes and prices are reasonable. The format is more canteen than cafe - select cold drinks from the fridge, order hot drinks and food at the counter and pay, then take your tray to a table, collect your own cutlery and condiments and hot food is brought to you at the table. Overall, the atmosphere is relaxing and the food is tasty, but it has the potential to be more of a go-to destination, rather than a convenient stop off as you're passing through.

I’ve been in here many times.Mostly retired people with family. The staff are very polite and the food is not bad.Spotlessly clean and well presented. The store is a privately owned family run long established company and they take pride in their business .It’s a nice place to relax and have a snack. The store has a wide variety of goods and has a really good modern furniture department. They move with the times. They cater for the older customer but also for the young.Worth a visit, especially if your looking to furnish a new home.Whoever is the buyer for this place has a really good eye for style and design.

Ladies and gentlemen... Prepare to be absolutely, unwaveringly and unexpectedly blown away by this fabulously fantastic food experience! Collingwood Batchellor's fabled Atrium Coffee Shop is simply to die for! From their sumptuous coffee to their splendid selection of teas they boast the most becoming of beverages; the most highly exquisite of the sort in town by an Irish country mile. The sizes aren't stupid, nor are the prices pretentious. With such an excellent establishment in town I no longer need to buy coffee in for the house. Why I doubt I'll ever make a cup of coffee or tea at home ever again! As for the nosh, it may seem a bit basic at first you but you will soon enough discover that it is in fact one of their many strengths. Sourdough cake? Avocado milk? Non-dairy nut bars? Not here sir! Collingwood Batchellor offers REAL grub to satisfy a true Englishman's righteous senses. I'm talking toast. I'm talking scones. I'm talking toasted sandwiches, jacket potatoes and lunches fit for a Ploughman. Bravo! Delicious! They even gain extra points by keeping it local, exclusively using bread from the splendid Metro Bakery in the Chalk Hill Centre. Did I mention the scones? Oh the scones! Homemade scones, baked fresh with love and happiness every morning and consumed gratefully by the fortunate sons and daughters of Horley by the end of each day. Many a townsperson would beg to introduce a new village resident to these staples of our society. I for one am lucky enough to have spread the holy message of Collingwood's scones almost as many times as I have spread jam and cream onto one.Alas, one cannot review Colllingwoods Batchellor's Atrium Coffee Shop without mentioning the superiority of its staff. Service with a smile? Try service with unparalleled wit and unlimited laughter! Oh they really are a smashing bunch and well worth their weight in gold, which is rather fitting when you consider the golden rays of sunlight that the café bathes in all year round thanks to those majestic shop windows. In summary, Collingwood Batchellor's Coffee Shop ticks all the boxes that an institution of such grandeur should. Quality consumables? Yes! Top-notch service? Absolutely! A chance to relax and enjoy a spot of people-watching? Well if you say so! So finally, as I reach the conclusion of my review, I ask you this: Would you deny yourself a gift from the heavens?

We had a lunch here and it was pretty good. The service was very good and the staff are friendly. We ordered sandwiches and coffee. The coffee was nice and the sandwiches ok, the bread seemed like quite cheap cut bread which was a little disappointing given that the filing was nice. Maybe upgrade the bread and my next review would be 5 stars.

We've been here many times and always enjoy it. It has a basic cafe menu that you would expect at any other establishment, but they do a lovely selection of cakes. The service can be slow, but that's not a problem as everywhere else it's all rush, rush, rush and it's good to slow down a bit and relax.

My wife regularly likes to visit Collingwood's to see what has changed, or 'to pick something up'. Sometimes, especially if its tipping down, she prefers to stop at their cafe rather than go to our usual one. She doesn't like their brand of tea but the coffee is fine! It has never been overly busy, the seating is good, the staff are reasonable; sometimes seem distracted. To us it is peculiar to feel you are having a break amongst the furniture for sale.

I wish I knew about this place before. I be been a few times and had different menu options. I’ve yet to be disappointed and will adopt it as my go to lunch spot. The Reigate Scotch egg breakfast was authentic , good ingredients and flavourful. The coffee ( cuppa chino) could be in bigger mugs to dilute the strength of the coffee , but otherwise good .

I ordered and received the Valentines Box, yesterday, which was really lovely. All of the contents were very tasty, in fact there was too much food for one sitting, so we saved some for later. Delicious, and will definitely order the next event.
