The Atrium in Shropshire

Myself and my husband had been looking around for an intimate unique venue across the midlands and found ourselves underwhelmed with the choices and shocked with the prices. When we came across The Atrium, we fell in love. Not only did the team make us feel comfortable in crafting our wedding dream, but the packages were affordable without cutting ANY corners. On the day the staff made us feel so special and at ease, they really went above and beyond. We have had compliments from every single person regarding the food being delicious and it’s the best wedding they have been to. I cannot recommend The Atrium as a wedding venue enough!

We decided to get married here after scouring many of the larger, extortionate wedding venues in Shropshire! Not only is the venue absolutely beautiful, but the food is outstanding and the staff and management can’t do enough for you. They are flexible to your needs and really helpful with ideas and suggestions for the big day (being an amateur couple with no wedding coordinator!) We were worried about the food as with most venues mass producing meals at weddings they’re not always the best, but we were blown away, the beef dinner was amazing and all of our guests said the same. They catered for everyone’s dietary needs and even changed one of the kids meals on the spot with no issues at all. The extensive bar and drink choices, coupled with the quick and friendly bar service meant our guests had a brilliant day and night! We stayed in the accommodation above the venue over the weekend and I highly recommend it - self check in, beautifully decorated large rooms and having the rooms Friday - Sunday really made our weekend. The day went as smoothly as I could have wished for, everyone had an amazing time and have commented that it was one of the best weddings they’d been to. Special thanks to Anabelle for being so easy going and helpful throughout, and to Lydia and the other staff on the day who smashed it out of the park and made our day so memorable. We can’t wait to come back for some more amazing food and relive our beautiful wedding memories in this gorgeous venue ❤️

Where do I start …. Absolutely fantastic venue, food and staff. It was my daughter and son-in-laws wedding and just wow! I can not thank them enough for making the day absolutely magical from beginning to end. Food was superb, so many people commented and your attention to detail was beyond perfect. I will remember it forever and want to thank you for being part of it x

Family wedding anniversary so booked pretty much last minute with no issues, lovely table overlooking the high street for four. The ladies opted for the four small plate option (each) so eight dishes in total, can’t remember what they were but all were given the thumbs up. Rump steak and pork loin for the guys which again were a success. Corona on draft (£6) with a good selection of cocktails for the girls. Staff polite and friendly, ambiance relaxed with plenty of folks coming and going. First time here for all of us, lovely building and a good outside space in the enclosed courtyard.

Wonderful afternoon in the beautiful Bridgnorth Extra credit to the lovely Theresa who went to extra mile to ask the chef to make us chicken sandwiches (after being told they’d been taken off the menu) - they made an exception just for us and they were fabulous ! :)

Unfortunately very disappointed the chef or cook obviously hasn't a clue how to cook and present food properly, the sausage was half cooked, the bacon cremated, the eggs fried hard, the beans must have been the cheapest rubbish money can buy they looked anaemic overall brought the meat home for the dog left the beans gave away the tomatoes and black pudding, seriously it's the last time I go there, it's not cheap but the food is.

We went here as a family for Father’s Day. The venue is beautiful with a lovely bar and outdoor seating area where we had a drink before our meal. We sat inside to eat our meal and had secluded spot which was good as there was quite a few of us. Upon sitting down we all noted that the tables were really ‘sticky/tacky’ not sure if this is due to cleaning products used but was a bit unpleasant especially when trying to lift up your wine glass you needed to twist to detach first. We had all pre ordered from the set menu a mix between 2 courses or 3. Starters - these were nice however the mackerel pâté only came with two crackers with quite a lot of pâté so could of if done with more a couple more or reduce the amount of pate as spoonfuls of pâté on its own is not pleasant Mains - the steaks were lovely and came with a good portion of salad and chips and lovely onion rings , the Bridgnorth roast beef was beautiful meat but the 2 roast potatoes and veg (2 pieces of limp tender stem broccoli and a spoonful of red cabbage) that came with it were dismal and the Yorkshire puddings rock hard on the outside and completely hollow in the middle. The smash burger - was absolutely tiny with a handful of chips even the waitress said kids burger when she brought it out when we advised none of the children had ordered a burger it was quite shocking to realise that it was in fact an adults portion. The desserts- Biscoffe brownie and lemon posset were nice. Overall it is a lovely venue but there is definite room for improvement with the food. The staff are very helpful and they didn’t disagree interms of the burger being an unacceptable size portion for £18 and they did refund the bill for that which was appreciated.

Visited today for the second time and did not disappoint. Fixed price menu excellent value. Food was hot and tasty. Good size portions too. Staff efficient and friendly. Would highly recommend.

We visited the Atrium as a potential wedding venue in June last year. We met with Annabelle who took time to understand what we wanted from our day and then provided us with some great suggestions for a truly bespoke wedding day. From the initial flexible suggestions on arrival drinks and the wedding breakfast menu to executing it all on the day, Annabelle made it so easy for us to plan our perfect day. The whole team worked so hard to pull our vision together and we’re really grateful to them all. Our guests absolutely LOVED the venue and all commented on how incredible the food and service was but more importantly WE loved every minute and appreciated every detail. If you’re looking for a bespoke wedding venue in Shropshire then look no further than the Atrium! Mr & Mrs C

The Atrium is a lovely venue, with nice decor and plenty of different rooms/areas to sit in that are tastefully decorated. The staff were friendly and attentive however, unfortunately this place falls short when it comes to the food. A friend and I went in for lunch and opted for the sandwiches. For £9 you don’t get a lot for your money, simply a sandwich with little filling and barely and mustard in my one and a handful of salad - that’s it! It was also incredibly dry so sadly not that enjoyable.

Had high hopes but sadly let down. None of the food was hot and apart from the soup it had seen better days. Portion sizes pretty poor. Half the chips were crispy burnt bits and very dark in colour and a few were very light but apparently were all cooked fresh together. Tbf they did offer to change them but declined. Also say in a side room which was awful with a very sticky albeit clean table. Service not great took ages to get the drinks. Definitely go back for drinks but not food

Lovely atmosphere, great coffee and fantastic food. Our waitress Erin was absolutely wonderful, so helpful and so was the hostess Lydia. Friendly and efficient service and will definitely be back again!

Mixed feelings: Excellent decor and ambience and the staff are helpful and friendly. However the food didn't meet the same standard as the decor. I'd pop in for coffee but wouldn't eat here again. The chef cannot have been unaware the food was not ok.

Came to meet up with friends. We enjoyed the food, and the service was friendly and prompt. I found the music very intrusive though - a dull 'thud-thud' from the speaker over our table meant conversation was quite difficult, as it was hard to hear each other. The same tune seemed to be on loop, too. I did politely ask several times if it could be turned down in the area where we were seated, and the request was dealt with pleasantly, though the volume of the music crept up again and again, and it did put a bit of a downer on an otherwise enjoyable lunch.

Came here and asked for coffee to which we were told there were no seats available which was clearly untrue, there was space outside. Unhelpful staff and the biggest dump in Bridgnorth, full of pretentious prats lining Richard Beamans pockets. Don’t know why we bothered here honestly don’t waste your time or money coming here when there is the Royle over the road which consistently hits the spot and has an amazing team of staff and nothing is too much trouble for them - we went there for coffee and got service with a smile which is more than you can for this style over substance grot hole. AVOID!

Had family visiting and we were looking for a lunch venue We were taken in by the upmarket feel to the restaurant however the food was completely overcooked and not worth the price charged I would never use again and could not recommend this restaurant

Visited today for a reunion with school friends. Some of us hadn’t seen each other for over 10 years. We booked a table to eat at 12.30pm and we ended up sitting down at 2pm as people were late and we were busy chatting. Staff were super helpful and flexible and when we did sit down to eat the food was really decent. The decor was really lovely as well. Gave a four out of five as I didn’t think much at all of the coffee (sorry!) but will definitely be back.

Average food at best. And over priced. Staff are great and it’s a nice setting but £18 for a small slice of pretty much ch tasteless pie with chips and a few veg is scandalous ! Much much better places to eat in high town. I’m go back for a drink but not food.

Came for a business lunch. Food was very good. Our server Mia , who said she was only on her 3rd day, was absolutely brilliant and made our day. A great experience enhanced by a fantastic service by her.

Lovely surroundings and very pleasant staff. However, my vegetarian dish was pretty appalling. I ordered the Winter vegetable gateaux, with cheese gratin. Sounded nice. Initially I thought "well done for doing something different", but when it arrived the "gateaux" basically comprised of an extremely thin layer of potato, with another extremely thin layer of carrot on top and then a very thin layer of what I think was butternut squash spread on top. Basically, a warm orange rectangle. Not a lot of effort involved. No cheese gratin. When I asked where it was I waited about 10 minutes to be brought a small dish with breadcrumbs, parmesan and dried herbs ... not cooked. I'm assuming it should have been sprinkled on top of the orange rectangle and grilled. Thankfully there were some nice mushrooms on the side. Anyway, this dish of veggies cost £15. The ingredients probably cost about £1.50. Dessert was better, but some of the things on offer, for example crumble, were crying out for custard. Shame.

Lovely location, staff were fine. Food was average however. Bubble and squeak was tasteless (came with the maple pork) and the cold poached pear which was supposed to have been poached in mulled wine was very hard and tasted of grapefruit. Avoid this particular dish if I were you.

The food, the service and the ambience of The Atrium are excellent. The welcoming / serving staff could not have been be more pleasant, the food was freshly cooked and was delicious. The restaurant is tastefully decorated, lovely surroundings to eat and relax in. Overall a great experience, we shall definitely be visiting again.

We visit Bridgnorth every couple of months and almost always eat at Atrium. It's always good and today was no exception. Proper food, well served

Fabulous restaurant first time for us here recommended by our daughter great food g&ts and the stout was good too the interior was gorgeous (someone has good taste ) on arrival we were greeted by luke he was certainly a fabulous greeter it’s worth a try we will definitely be going again soon

On the plus side the place is beautiful. Stylish and trendy. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The place was full due to many places not doing food in early January and with a town full of hungry people they wisely were open for business. We have eaten there before and it’s been fine. Today we ordered sandwiches and soup. The sandwiches actually fell apart when picked up and the beef was gristly (we actually took it home in a napkin for the dog). The salad garnish was pathetic. The soup just wasn’t really very nice at all. I understand that they were busy but they should have had a limited menu if they couldn’t cope as it’s quite expensive. Our friends were paying and so it didn’t seem right to complain but to pay over £50.00 for awful food, two coffees, one small wine and a lime and soda was not good. I hope that this is constructive criticism as it’s a lovely place generally.

Really disappointed, particularly reading other reviews. Service was really slow. We queried one of the meals(beef, rocket and mustard sandwich) as there was very little beef, no rocket or mustard and the waitress advised that there was a thin layer of mustard and that the side salad had a bit of rocket in it. Couldn't be bothered to argue. The burger, which sounded amazing on the menu, looked like something from a 2am burger van.

It was our first visit to the Atrium today. We weren’t disappointed. As we entered the place we noticed how beautiful everything looked and how friendly the guy who greeted us was. The area where we sat was a mixture of well laid out tables with comfortable benches and chairs. Our server named Kate was absolutely lovely. She was attentive and very friendly. The food came out quickly and was both hot and delicious. My husband had soup of the day, followed by Thai fishcake which he thoroughly enjoyed. I had the Mac and cheese with bacon. Both items were from the light bite part of the menu and the portions were more than adequate. In fact I took almost half of my dish home. This place is definitely going to be a firm favourite with us. Can’t praise Kate highly enough. She’s a credit to the establishment.

A lovely upmarket place to eat in Bridgnorth. Lovely atmosphere, well spaced tables, good menus. Food excellent and beautifully presented. Staff were not the best sadly. A scruffy ensemble with 1 very unsmiling member. The staff are not a good representation of the restaurant and it’s a shame because they have missed out on 5 stars because of this.

Went to The Atrium for the first time today, the restaurant itself is beautiful, gorgeous decor, and lovely and spacious. The staff were fabulous. Let’s get to the food, we both chose a 3 course meal from the Winter Warmers menu. We chose different meals starters were beetroot and orange trout and Wild mushrooms in a cream sauce. Mains were bartered fish and chips and pork with beautiful vegetables then we had the same dessert of chocolate mousse with sour cherries. Everything was incredible. I can’t recommend this place highly enough.

My husband and I visited with 2 friends for an evening meal on 21st Nov. We had a warm friendly welcome from a waiter who looked after us for the rest of the evening. The food was excellent and such great value and our waiter was so helpful to me (a fussy vegetarian with food allergies) - he was a star! A very enoyable experience which we hope to repeat soon.

Loved the surroundings, even though we had to sit in the attractive outside area initially as so crowded inside. I’ve given this a ‘4’ as the staff were overwhelmed with the amount of people they were having to serve. We only wanted 3 teas and a coffee. After a 20 minute wait we had to chase up our order as we were on a timed coach and time was running out! The staff here are very helpful and friendly, just very busy!

Really lovely dinner. We went to the Atrium mid week, having been let down last minute elsewhere. The staff were really friendly and the food was really good. Would definitely recommend.

We'd seen great reviews but our experience was very disappointing. The feta in the starter was way past being served, and we informed the staff who did remove it from the bill. It was disappointing to see more of the same dish being served to other customers, who also felt compelled to complain. The main courses of chicken supreme and ham hock were very bland, lacking seasoning. Towards the end of the meal we felt a little abandoned and had to visit the bar to pay. Throughout the meal there was a constant nuisance of midges around the table which didn't improve the experience overall. Such a shame as the venue looks great and the adjacent Stable Bar had been a nice experience.

Very poor! We went for a late lunch having booked earlier in week! The food was very , very poor in fact the cold Yorkshire pudding couldn’t be cut and dreadful! We waited 42 minutes between starter and main course! The bill was wrong with three items we hadn’t had ! The waitress said when she asked if we had enjoyed the meal and we politely said not really! “ Oh well it is Sunday afternoon and the town is extra busy!” We pointed out that prices were not lowered because they are busy etc …!?! If you set a price for having standards then maintain the standards!!!
