The Atithi Indian Restaurant and Bar in Leicester

Excellent meal yesterday mouth watering food variety of dishes between 6 people Great flavours spices portions too very good drinks great prices too however shortage of waiter service overall excellent would definitely dine there again a must visit restaurant !! 😎😊👏🏼👍

I came to the Peepul Centre (yes, sadly they do spell it that way) for a training day and lunch was put on in the Atithi Indian Restaurant om the 1st floor of the admittedly impressive centre. I can't comment too much on the food, as the range went no further than sandwiches and chips, but it is worth pointing out that both were excellent. The sandwiches were tasty (egg mayonnaise, tuna & sweetcorn, some weird Indian Chicken type thing and cheese & tomato) and the chips were of a decent quality and very hot. The dining room is quite small and I would be interested to see how large groups fared here. I'm sure it would be handled well. If you are visiting the Peepul Centre, or if you are just looking for somewhere a bit quieter and a bit more off the beaten track to have an Indian, this might well just be the place for you.

He estado aquí dos veces durante un período de 6 meses. La primera experiencia no fue muy buena, pero pensamos que nos daría otra oportunidad. Ambas veces reservado una semana antes y dos veces no tenían nuestra reserva. La comida está bien pero el servicio es terrible, la comida dos veces tardamos una eternidad y esperando las bebidas también fue larga. No volveré.

Pocas palabras para este restaurante. . . Comida de primera, servicio de 110%. Ahora estoy clasificación esta el mejor restaurante indio en Leicester. Haber estado en casi cada restaurante indio en Leicester Atithi golpea la marca como el mejor! El servicio fue excelente desde la reserva de una mesa por teléfono para salir. Excepcional.

Era nuestra primera vez en el restaurante atithi que fue recomendado por un compañero en una boda. Elegimos la comida del domingo y quedamos satisfechos con la comida, el ambiente y el precio. Aparcamiento en el centro en el que el pipal restaurante está ubicado era buena, con muchas plazas libres. Había un menú grande, pero la comida era servida rápidamente y nos dieron un amplio proporciones.

Absolute rubbish. What a waste of time. Staff who are rude and basically college kids who could not get a job in sports direct. Food awful. Bland and food that appeared to be reheated several times - possibly from the previous nights buffett. Stay away and go to one of the many better curry houses on the Melton Road.

The Goan fish curry is superb - unbeatable. Number 1 on my list of curries. I can't believe the negative comments some people left. They are laid but ever so friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

Beautiful food, amazing presentation. Service was great. Proper hidden gem this place is. Can't wait to go back.

Had a bad experience with the booking, food wasn't great and not fresh at all. Contacted the restaurant via email but received no acknowledgement. Not a good way of running a business. Will avoid and will definitely not be recommending to anybody.

My daughter and son in law took us to this restaurant. Strange location, on the outside looks like a leisure centre or set of offices, but provided good parking. Set in the centre of the building was the restaurant was colourfully decorated and customers could see straight into the kitchen. Staff were friendly and the menu was extensive, interesting and reasonably priced. Portions were generous and the food was very tasty. Do not be put off by the outside, inside there is an interesting, extensive menu providing different tastes and a wide range of choice. Finally thankfully not pretentious.

There was rat in the restaurant its awful restaurant nobody speaks English there and poor customer service.

We went here for a meal on Saturday and although it's quite hidden/tucked away, it was a nice little find. The interior is pretty basic but clean and no issues. The food was nice, came out piping hot and very well presented, especially the main curries (we had butter chicken - very nice). The naan were also great, nice and fresh, not drowned in butter and soft.The only down side was that staff seemed a bit stretched despite the restaurant being only half full. Also as another table ordered at the same time as us, the food took a while.That won't stop us coming again, and would recommend friends/family to pop in. Importantly, it is a very reasonably priced restaurant.

ordered undhiu, a vegetarian dish. potatoes in it seemed from a tin. beans in it frozen. would not order again. but will visit again for the very good service. my friends were very happy with their meat and chicken dishes they want to come again.

We have been coming here on a regular basis for the business lunch for a very long time as they have a special lunch time rate; they live up to their EXCELLENT standard every single time. Their food is DELICIOUS, actually the BEST we have had from any restaurant outside of India. Their staff are very friendly and extremely helpful and the chef always wears a big smile too.

I ate here tonight food was good, great presentation. good prices only bad thing was that the soft drinks are the cheap Tesco value bottles and charging £1.75 a glass and when the drink came it was flat, apart from that everything else was good, friendly staff too

Last month along with our friends we chanced upon this hidden gem of an Indianrestauarant in Leicester and boy we were so pleasantly surprised with the quality of food that we are sure to visit it atleast a dozen times if not more. To start with, staff are very polite and helpful. Decor is modern and clean. Cooking is in a viewable open kitchen. Menu is extensive and covers range of north to south Indian vegetarian and non vegetarian cusine in very authentic flavours and tastes. It also has a drinks bar. We had ordered Kukuri Bhindi(crispy okra) and aloo tiki chana chat followed by kofta curry, paneer tikka masala and tdka dal with most delicious garlic naans that I have tasted anywhere Finally chef came over and talked with us at length explaing how crispy okra(fantastic!) were prepared and cooked. I can onlygive this joint 5 stars as that is maximum possible! Go for it guys.

It's really that place provide proper Indian taste that we haven't gotten in foreign countries. Last week I came here with my friends as a business trip in MMT groups and one of my friend belong to Leicester recommend me to visit to the atithi restaurant for dinner. There we ate some starters and Curries were excellent.All the things were drastically managed and waiter and waitress was very helpful and also they were trying to make us happy by showing their laughing face. Superb at last!

I had a good time to been to atithi restaurant. Food quality is really outstanding and according to my point of view i haven't eaten this food in any others restaurant. I'll really recommend to all the peoples who living in leicester just try it once and make it your favourite restaurant for next time.
