Absolutely third class food and they charge sitting charges if 10% in dining which I have never seen before. I could have given less than one ⭐️ if possible

Lovely meal here - excellent food and chai and the service was very good. Just to note - you can ask for larger mugs of the chai.

I visited to mirch masala Leicester today with my family. It was amazing to dine there.Abhishek the manager at melton road branch is so so brilliant, patient and helpful. An excellent service was provided by Abhihek,Soham and Bhakti. My daughters loved there paneer noodles, paneer masala chips and cake. The owner is very courteous too.

Great food, great service. Bhakti, Sneh and Abhishekh were fabulous with their service and their recommendations for food. The Masala Paneer dosa, the chola batura, the thali and the papdi chat was so so good. Please try. Wasn't too keen on the paneer kebab and the aaloo bun kebab (can't remember the name on the menu) Overall it was a great experience and we enjoyed ourselves very much. Anytime we're back in Leicester, we're coming back for sure.

Food deliver too slow service is rubbish

Delivery was 40 minutes late. Food was not warm, and we were missing one dish (the mogo)

Unfortunately standards dropped. Ordered a jug of diet coke, (costs £10 - 8.99 plus 10% service charge) and they served flat lidl cola.

The wedges were nice and crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The tofu sauce was unfortunately a bit sour and too chewy to finish. The pizza was good but pricey for the size.

Absolute rubbish! Don’t waste your money.

Watch out for the 10% “cover charge” they are ripping customers off with on the bill. They had a sign stating cash only but when questioned reluctantly accepted a card payment.. hmm smells like tax evasion to me! Service was not great, had to ask for clean plates and water several times. Food was bland and tasteless and portions were so small. The pizza we ordered was supposedly “deep pan” but was thin as a supermarket flatbread.. not to mention the size which was best described as a child’s portion. The mango lassi was not sweet but tasted bitter. The food was underwhelming and dissatisfying. This place should have stayed closed the day it burnt down. Better options nearby. Avoid this place!

We were just shopping and had parked up opposite Mirch Masala. Rather than go in, as very busy, they had a takeaway buffet outside (usual thing). We had the samosa/tikki chana chaat, mogo chips and pau bhaji with indian tea. We sat on chairs outside shop and ate. The samosa chaat and tea were lovely, didnt care for the others really. Main thing was that the food wasn’t fully hot, which i should have expected, and tea was small cup although very tasty. Probably worth going in, as have had great meals there.

We ended up here after many years, because our regular meet up place was closed on Wednesday. The food was very good, except the dahi puri. But two things let the experience down for us. Firstly the service - not enough staff serving, just two of which one started by giving us incorrect details (eg began bharta not available, when it was). Luckily the 2nd person was able to step in and took the order correctly. However due to the shortage, the food took time to be served. Secondly at the till. The staff were very slow. A cover charge was automatically applied (no matter the group size - we were just 5), even though there was no notice this would be done. there was a notice that payment would be required as "cash only", apparently because the card machine didnt work - only it did, when we asked. To top it off, the till staff were unashamadley slow - blissfully unaware of the growing queue of customers. We wont be returning in a hurry.

We booked live cooking at our home. We had a number of dietary requirements and Mukeshbhai listened, took notes and made suggestions as well. The food was delicious, fresh and fully met our order and beyond. Hemaben and her team were very professional, friendly and polite. Communication from our first enquiry up until they left was faultless. Would not hesitate in calling them again and highly recommend to anyone looking for live catering. We and our guests can't praise them enough!

An tempting vegetarian selection. We only wanted a light meal, so ordered a paneer masala dosa (I remembered to take a picture after eating half of it... Oops), paneer pau bhaji, garlic naan and some plain yoghurt. All very good.

Absolutely shambles. Multi cuisine restaurant. Highly overpriced. I ordered thali thinking the chef could atleast serve thali. All 3 gravy curries. Chana was sour in taste, paneer was totally bland and lentils had high salt. Tacos were soggy. With chips you have to ask for dip or ketchup. Didn't bother asking at all. I wish I could could give something under 1 🌟

We experienced Mirch Masala at Vegan Campout festival this year, my partner and I love Indian food but have never had a fully vegan Indian meal and it was phenomenal! We had the mock chicken masala, tofu masala, rice, sag aloo, chana masala and onion bhaji, very good value for money too!

Been buying the amazing (vegetarian) pizzas here for years - BEST pizzas ever!!! Plus the unbeatable Jackfruit Biryani Great & consistent service especially from Bhakti & Abhishekh!

Food was not good. Felt like we were eating left overs from many days. Specially Chole, and Dosa.

I recently had a work meal with a group of staff at this restaurant. Despite another large group booking and being slightly short on staff, the experience was fantastic. Gina and Bhakti were outstanding, working tirelessly and providing excellent service. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was wonderful as always. Highly recommend this place!

It was Average food. Pani puri was awful! Fizzy green thick chutney no water for pani puri. Dahi puri had no taste so bland. Bhatura was full of oil. Aloo Gobi chole was Average. Kids had pizzas which was average. It wasn’t the value for money. Wouldn’t go back. Tasted like use cheap oil for bhatures.Service was so slow. There is no concept of starters or Mains. Bring stuff as they get ready.

Delicious food, couldn't fault it. You get a lot for your money aswell. We were a group of 12 and they accommodated for us perfectly. Great experience. Would definitely recommend!!

Had the pleasure of being served by Shoham! The customer service from him was amazing. He attended to all my needs and advised me on what would be best based on sizes and popular items of the menu for a large party I was ordering for. He kept on checking up on me whilst I was waiting and went above and beyond for just a simple orde and take away. Thank you for your service

I ordered a paneer kebab, and was full of paneer and peppers. In a very flavour full sauce.

We came for lunch and tried Dal Maharani, Chana masala, Dabli, Paneer kabab, Paneer keema tacos 🌮, Garlic Nan, Roti, and kadak Masala chai afterward. They did not disappoint us we had an amazing time and delicious food. The combination of Indian and Mexican food is just awesome

I dined in and ordered a Paneer Tikka Burger with Spicy Chips, what was served was a fried aloo tikki in a toasted bun with no paneer whatsoever. Upon asking where the paneer was I was told the Paneer was grated on the aloo tikki and if I wanted more there would be an extra charge, I declined. Whilst the spicy aloo tikki was tasty, I did not enjoy the deception in description. When it came to settling the bill, the bill was £25 higher than anticipated and learned they had added things which we did not order including extra paneer on the burger, extra charge for mint sauce condiment and then the spicy chips were charged full price at £4.99 rather than the up-lift price of £1.50 with the burger as per the menu and then a 10% cover charge was added without explanation. I complained to the owner who whilst apologising, refunded in cash the incorrect items (as opposed to back to my card) and then had the audacity to refuse to refund the cover charge difference and walked away behind the counter!

Mirch Masala used to be our regular family dining spot. We visited on June 1st to celebrate my mum's birthday, but were informed that only small pizzas (4 slices) could be ordered for dining in; larger sizes were available only for delivery. This policy was extremely disappointing. As a large family, we would have needed to order 10+ small pizzas instead of a few large ones. Additionally, we usually order extra items with our pizzas. Given the current economic situation, this is unacceptable, especially with the added service charge for dining in. Consequently, we decided to go elsewhere.

Mirch Masala was a wonderful treat - the menu is really creative. Lots of fusion foods with very clever ideas. We were tempted by so many things on the menu that we didn’t have any space for dessert - which was a shame as the dessert menu looked amazing. Will definitely come back - and hope to try the Indian afternoon tea experience! Great food and wonderful service! Shout out to Abhishek who served us!

The food was ok the waiter (Soham and Sneh) were very helpful to let us change the option for dishes. Soham allowed us to change the portion of hakka noodles to a chilli paneer as hakka noodles was looking dry. Chilli paneer was very delicious though. But really appreciate how he allowed to make our day. Hope you get better with your noodles.

Brill meal at Mirch. I came down to visit family for the bank holiday and we had an amazing meal. I’ve been coming to Mirch since I was a child and it just gets better. We shared our usual favourites Mirch special sizzler, paneer deluxe pizzas, chilli chips which were spot on but also tried some of their new dishes we really loved the pau bhaji quesadilla and the chilli cheese toast! Also a must try if you go is their rose faluda which is a classic. Service is always friendly. They also seem to have a new saviours section with spices and nastho. We took some chakri home and it was really good.

Really disappointed with our takeaway today. The toppings were not distributed properly. As you can see the pizza didnt have enough cheese. Base was not crispy enough. Mirch masala quality is not consistent.

I would give a zero but there was no option. We had to ask for water 3 times and we still didn't get it, we had to leave the restaurant without water. The hygiene levels were disappointing as the glass we received for water had not been washed properly. The food quality and quantity was rubbish. There was such poor customer service. Please don't go there.

Been in Leicester for years and still delivers great food.

Visited yesterday with my partner as she’d recommended this place prior. The atmosphere was really nice. As it was a Saturday, It was quite busy but once we were seen to we got seated with no issues. Service was really good. We were given 5 minutes to look at the menu then they came over and took our orders. Drinks came out straight away and food took around 10-15 minutes to come out. I was super impressed. We ordered samosa chaat, crispy bhajia, hakka noodles, chilli chips and mirch masala special sizzler. Samosa chaat was okay, I wish there were more flavours happening rather than just yogurt. Crispy bhajia, wow. I truly recommend. They were really nice, crispy and huge portion. The hakka noodles, didn’t hit the mark for me. I wish there was a little more flavour - more heat and aromatics. Chilli chips were tasty and what you expect with chilli chips. But the show stopper was the the mirch masala special sizzler. I’d definitely recommend ordering the spices were spot on. I’d definitely revisit for the sizzler and the bhajia.

STALE FOOD, BAD OWNERS AND MANAGER , CHARGING EXTRA MONEY WITHOUT CUSTOMER KNOWLEDGE. We waited for more than an hour before being served. The food was very bad , stale and smelling. "Dabheli" and Vada pav were smelling and stale because of potato which gone off atleast couple of days ago. The smell was so strong that it remained there even after the dishes were removed. The server admitted that the food is bad and was good enough to remove the same . But the manager and owner came once the food was removed and argued that the food was alright inspite of the fact that their staff acknowledged it was gone bad. We told them we are leaving , and to our utter surprise , they tried to charge us for the food which we even didn't ordered and consumed . The restaurant was also not accepting the card and had a notice that only cash is being accepted. There was a also a cover charge of 10% included without our knowledge and we were asked to pay for it inspite of asking it to remove

AVOID ! AVOID ! AVOID ! AVOID ! AVOID ! AVOID! NEVER EVER I WOULD RECOEMMND TO THIS PLACE OF ROTTEN FOOD AND DISHONESTY AND RUDENESS. We went to celebrate one Birthday party and ordered Vada Pau and Daveli. Potato was rotten in both the items and it was smelling horrible. when it was reported to Waiter, he apologised and took the item straightaway before we could said anything. After a while manager and owner came up and were trying to defend that potato was ok. we were really surprised their dishonest act as if we were lying. We left the table and went to pay the bill and to our surprise they charged for the ROTTEN food which we returned as well. they also charged a hidden charge called COVER Charge without our consent.

I visited this restaurant for my mums 60th birthday and I was very pleasantly surprised - the vegan food was so nice and there are so many options! I will definitely be coming again :)

Interior seems better since its refurbishment, but food was very average (or below in some items) for the price. There are better places to eat on Belgrave Road and Melton Road. The waiting staff were courteous.

I revisited this restaurant on February 14th, after my last dining experience back in 2018. Unfortunately, I was left disappointed this time around. It seems that the quality of the food has declined since my last visit. While the restaurant appears to have undergone a facelift, which is a positive change, it's disappointing that they still only accept cash payments. In this digital age, this policy feels outdated and inconvenient for customers. The service was mediocre at best, lacking the warmth and attentiveness I would expect from a dining establishment. Overall, it's a shame to see a decline in both food quality and service standards since my last visit. I hope the restaurant can address these issues to regain its former charm and reputation.

Special get together and we tried the Mirch Indian afternoon tea for the first time and it was outstanding. There was so much choice and so many great twists. We all absolutely loved it. I have tried other Indian afternoon teas on the road but this was by far the best. In terms of menu we thought the cream cheese and Bombay potato wheels were great. The mini Bombay sandwiches and vada pau were perfectly bitesized. It was the first time I had beetroot and coconut samosas which are such an interesting combination and they had the perfect amount of each. The best part was the mini dessert selection. We were seated and then given our first pot of masala tea in this was wonderful painted tea kettle. It comes with unlimited masala tea and our server topped it up whenever we asked. The young lad that was serving us was very good. You do have to book at least 24 hours in advance for the afternoon tea but it is well worth it. They should do gift vouchers for the afternoon tea as it would make a great gift.

Really disappointed with the quality of food. The pizza is the size of roti. Complete rip off. The mirch masala special pizza was not special at all. Had no taste. The paneer sizzler had no taste needed salt and sauce. Really a big disappointment and not value for money at all.

Nice place, great decor, amazing service. My wife and I visited for lunch and were so excited with all the vegan options. All the items with a v have a vegan option. We were able to try a vegan chaat with a plant based yoghurt and their coconut and vegan faluda with plant milk which was delicious. The highlight had to be the light and fluffy idli sambar. Definitely will be returning.
