The Arrow in South Somerset

I decided to go for lunch yesterday particularly as they are pet friendly so it was perfect for me. My friend and I had lunch, it was nice and quiet, the food was great and it was a good atmosphere. Tip for improving although you may already have. I didn't see a dog bowl and some treats on the counter would be a great addition as I forgot mine!!! Otherwise, we will be returning. Thanks.

I love coming to the arrow, as it’s my local. The staff are always so kind and welcoming everytime I walk in until I’m gone. It seems the manager runs this place very well as the staff are always happy and polite to customers. Never had a complaint with food up here and it’s always got its locals every night! Big screen always compliments this pub as it’s the biggest around Yeovil. Would recommend.

Decided to take the kids out for a meal in the sun and a few drinks. The place has lots of outdoor seating including a lovely enclosed beer garden great for kids and dogs. Went to the bar and ordered our food and with a couple of fussy kids, the staff were brilliant and made sure everything was double checked before completing the order. Food came really quick and was great even this kids cleared there plates. Overall great service, food and drinks definitely worth a visit.

Louise and the team always look after me Everytime I’m in the food is good and the service is always great would definitely recommend also love the big screen no other place to watch the footy

Came for lunch today with my friend and I had my dogs with me, I can honestly say we were welcomed straight away by Ayden and louise. It's so nice to find a local family pub that allows dogs in. We had a wonderful lunch and the dogs enjoyed there sausages. We will definitely be back. Apologies for the dogs sitting on the chair they thought the thatchers Hazel was for them.

Came here with my brother for a drink absolutely great atmosphere watched a bit of premiership football love it and absolutely love their new interactive darts. We will be playing this again and I’m definitely coming to watch the Crystal Palace FA Cup final next Saturday on the massive screen at the Pub have Great bar snacks great time had by all the staff for great Louise and aydin made us for a very welcome and a great fun behind the bar

Met with a friend for lunch today , we had our dogs with us and Louise and Aydin warmly welcomed us , lunch was great , dogs enjoyed their sausages ! Will return again soon

Absolutely awful experience! Food was cold and took over 30 minutes to arrive and the place was empty ( which says a lot!!) Glasses stunk which is appalling, food on the floor and the tables dirty. Staff member ( who I think is the manager) Louise or Elouise I believe I heard her name was, just standing there doing absolutely nothing to clean the place up, and when ordering food, she was rude and abrupt trying to rush us as if we were just an inconvenience to her! There were 2 young girls behind the bar who we could see were hard at work and came over to clean our table and replace our glasses ( twice!!) Unfortunately this wasn’t enough to turn this terrible experience around for us. We will not be returning and I advise you stay well clear of this place! That poor excuse of a manager needs replacing! Well and truly devastated and disappointed in this whole ordeal.

Good well above basic tasty pub food. Friendly make you feel at home staff, always polite and helpful. Great selection of choice on both food and drinks. Our favourite place to eat in Yeovil.

Different days going there . Yesterday was not has good as Sunday.

So I was down in Yeovil to watch my Beloved Oldham Athletic Vs Yeovil Town so I headed to Huish park and after having a nosey around the stadium 🏟 and the Yeovil Town club shop. I had done my research by Googling Yeovil Town Away guide and lots of sites said that the Arrow is a local pub/Restaurant that welcomes Home and Away fans so a steward said to Use Google Maps to get there by cutting through a lovely little estate as opposed to walking all round the World. 10 minutes later I had arrived at the Arrow Pub to see an Army of our fans in our home, Away and Third shirts including some retro Oldham shirts. Huge bar and restaurant are, Pub was absolutely crammed full of locals, Home and away fans, families etc. The Man City Vs Crystal Palace match was being on shown on every tv in the restaurant and bar area, Cracking atmosphere, Huge variety of drinks on offer from pop to non alcoholic to beers, Craft beers, Guinness, Spirits and obviously being in Somerset loads and loads of different Ciders. As busy as it was bar staff did a great job, Super polite and friendly and extremely proficient, I opted for a Pint Of Brooklyn Lager that was crisp, ice cold well served and went down a treat on a lovely summers ☀️ day in Somerset. I felt abit peckish so I went into the restaurant but and ordered a chicken 🐔 feast which was chicken wings, Popcorn chicken, Southern Fried chicken steak, Chips and a rack of ribs, Food came out in good time considering how busy the pub was. Food came was well presented, Nice and hot and tasted absolutely delicious 😋 honest cooked to perfection, generous portion and the restaurant was spotlessly clean again considering how busy the pub was. Really enjoyed my food and opted for another Pint of Brooklyn Lager and it again was ice cold, crisp and went down well in the Yeovil sun 🌞. I finished my pint and walked the short walk back to Huish park ready for the match. I post alot of reviews on Google and I always give my honest opinion on everything from food, cleanliness, drink, Service, value for money, setting, ambience etc and I have over 32,000,000+ views on Google alone. I have reviewed everything from Locally to me and my Wife in Manchester to travelling around going for food with my Wife to travelling around the country watching my Beloved Oldham Athletic. I have reviewed everything from Restaurants to bars to beaches to beach clubs to taxis to airports to flights to beauty treatments to Barbers to hotels to Churches to Basilica to shooting ranges to hair dressers etc. From Manchester to Split(Croatia), Hvar(Croatia), Supetar(Brac, Croatia),Rome(Italy), Vatican(Italy), Bezier Cap d'Agde(South of France), Montpellier(South of France), Podgorica(Montenegro), Budva(Montenegro), Tirana(Albania), Sarande(Albania), Ksamil(Albania), Krakow(Poland), Zakopane(Poland) and this time next week we will be in Cape Verde.

Lovely pub, great food and lovely staff.

I took my family (7 of us) out for a meal. There are 6 adults and a 2yr old. We all found the food to be very good & excellent value. We ordered starters and mains and were too full for a desert. The pub atmosphere was friendly and not too loud. The only negative was the state of the bathrooms, they are tired and need of some attention, overflowing urinals are never a good look in a venue selling food.

For the amount of chips you get for the price I wouldn't call it value for money

Had a lovely meal and the staff were great. I forgot to bring my little dog water and they were only to happy to bring a water bowl out for her.

The Arrow is close to my home and ideal for a visit. Always had a good experience, they have some great bands too. Also held my dad's wake here as it was once his regular pub and it was a great experience at a tough time. Good to see it doing well with the current management.

Thank you to the staff at The Arrow, went for our families Christmas Day dinner, it was lovely. Food was good, atmosphere great & staff attentive. The manageress was amazing, organised & approachable, herself & staff worked hard, were polite and made Christmas day special, I hope they too were able to enjoy some time with their families too. Thank you & we will back not just on Christmas day 2025.

We booked for Xmas dinner, and can only say Louise and the team did an amazing job, the pub was full and atmosphere was good. The food was brilliant. Can I request red cabbage be Sunday carvery item as that was amazing. Well done Louise and all the arrow staff. Glen, tam and family…

Can't thank you or staff enough, managed to accommodate us at short notice after being let down by another pub. Staff were efficient friendly and helpful, food was hot and delicious, the carvery was excellent. You made a 4year old very happy with the DJ, who was setting up for a party singing happy birthday to her as we cut her cake., We always meet as a family around 14-18 of us every couple of months for Sunday lunch, it looks like we have found a new favourite venue

Breakfast with Santa was a huge hit with the grandkids again. The Grinch was very naughty but entertaining. Thanks to Louise, Millie and staff for a great time.

We arrived and we had booked a table. It wasn’t very busy but was told where our table was, not shown to it. We ordered and the food took 45 minutes to come out. The food was awful. Cold, rock hard chips. Cold chicken. We were so hungry we just ate it, but no one bothered to check our table to see if the food was ok. We sent back chicken strips with bbq sauce as they were so cold. They took 20 mins to come back out. No one apologised. The pub was quiet and so we are unsure why it took so long or the service was bad. Staff looked moody and weren’t very welcoming. Will not eat here again.

Went to try there new interactive dartboards Friendly staff showed us how to use it and was nice I could do something local with my lad. He had a kids meal which came out plenty big enough and hot. 💪💪💪

Had a great night at the arrow eating food playing bingo and the atmosphere was amazing. The manager is brilliant.

Absolutely spot on food last night All piping hot and quickly arrived at our table. Well done chef! Fairly busy for a cold Monday evening with a couple of big tables in too, but we couldn't fault any part of our visit.

Fantastic night for dinner, we always struggle taking our child out for dinner but we felt such at ease. We were greeted with friendliness, served fast for our drinks and told to choose a table! Food was delivered fast, hot and delicious! Lots of parking space, my son was given colours and colouring paper which kept him happy. We booked in for the Christmas breakfast with Santa and can’t wait 😍

What a lovely pub, very clean and food is delicious, hats of to the chef. The staff are always welcoming and polite. Lottie especially was so helpful with what i could and couldn't eat due to my allergies.

What a delightful meal we had Saturday night, such a lovely atmosphere, was busy but the staff ran it smoothly. Lottie took our orders and brought us our food. A very polite young women that knew how to handle her job well. The cod and chips was so good some could say better than the fish and chips down the road. We certainly be making this our weekly visit.

We popped into the arrow for some dinner with my family, we were served by Kia who showed us to our table. We ordered several meals but were told there would be a wait due to the population of food. The food came out with barely of a wait and it was excellent. We tipped kia as her service was incredible. We will definitely be coming back again!

We had my sons 18th here on Wednesdaywe all had a great time, great private area the staff were great and very attentive to us lottoe was very helpful we will definitely use this place for family party's again

Came here for carvery there was ten of us and it was great nice hot food lots of choice staff were great especially aydin he was so friendly, the TV screens are good and you can watch two differentmatches at one time which is good, they had the meat draw on which was great fun, we had to wait a little while for deserts as it was so busy. Ut the manager gave us a free drink which was much appreciated

Fantastic sports pub me and my freinds came to watch the match yesterday, they have a new dart board and football table, great big screen we had some sharers to eat we will definitely be back to watch football here again

Food was great, service was great.... but Xmas music blaring on all the speakers and crackers on the table.... I love Xmas but its barely even OCTOBER come on guys... this is worse than the supermaerkets!

Great food and drink, voucher made it good value for money.

I used the online booking feature to reserve a table for 7pm. On arrival, the staff were pleasant and very helpful and directed us to our reserved table. When I went to the bar to order our meals, I was informed that there would be a 40 minute wait for any food. As we were travelling through Yeovil and needing to continue our journey, this was not what we needed to hear. We left without ordering and we ate at McDonald's instead.

Had a terrible experience here , a member of staff claiming she was manager but had no uniform or id , firstly stormed out side to then accused my disabled husband of being verbally abusive which we have witnesses to say he wasnt , when my husband proceeded to tell her calmly why he was upset with the booking for his accessibility she wouldn’t even listen to what had to say then and told us we’re normally here on Sunday not Wednesday ,then as we came back in to Sit down my husband called her over to make a complaint ,she was very unprofessional and replied why ? Then proceeded to out me in front of the whole pub accusing me of rolling me eye at her when I wasn’t even looking at her and having a conversation with my son , I had to walk out as I have sever anxiety and was very upset as we were all made to feel very uncomfortable .

The Arrow is a great place to watch football, playing bingo, having drinks and food. They do really nice Cavery’s The staff are really friendly The place is always clean.

Amazing atmosphere, staff are very friendly I come every Thursday to eat and food is amazing really enjoy it great for a family meal out would highly recommend I will different say this is the place to go and eat in Yeovil by far again amazing place

The atmosphere was great. It was very busy for a Wednesday, but the carvery was delicious and my partner got The cowboy burger and he thoroughly enjoyed it. Hats off to the staff for managing !!

We have been here a few times now had lunch with my family and it was absolutely great. We had the ultimate chicken burger staff of great accommodated us for table of eight when we had not booked and we just walked in. Always a nice experience here and our little ones love the ice cream sundae will definitely come again

This place is worse than Wetherspoons in town. Dirty tables and chairs. Kids running amuck. Dogs in there. Never again.

Best place for the football the atmosphere is absolutely amazing, all the locals made to feel welcome even when it’s so busy, food is great ale is really good very hot and tasty, all the staff are so friendly

Great place came here for the football, this is the place to be great atmosphere two pints of beer on sale which is great, massive big daddy burger, staff are great, we had tables on the balcony with a big tv and made to feel very welcome, can’t wait till Sunday

When the meal came the sausages (I ordered sausage and mash) were lukewarm and when I cut into them, the middle was undercooked (not good for pork). As I did not have time to wait another 35+ I asked for a refund, which hopefully will go through, and to top it off the staff did not apologies, even or seem to care, maybe this is so common they are hardened to it. The beer was good. Overall very disappointed

Popped in for lunch on Friday. It wasn't busy the barman was lovely polite. Fast service and a lovely meal and drink.

I came into the arrow on Sunday 9th June. We both started of with drinks we had to wait a good 5 minutes before we even got served our drinks. I ordered food for me and my partner at 5:05 we didn’t get the food until 5:40. We ordered rump steak and kabab and chips. When the food comes it looks lush we go to eat it and it’s cold. Chips cold steak is cold. We spent a good £35 on food and a good £30 on drinks and the only good thing was the drinks. It was a quite day and not busy. Staff are around other customers and other staff members that have worked or are on a day off. Some of the staff are good, but it has been the worse experience we ever had. Sorry I don’t have a voice could someone leave a contact number I could message back or another way?

Popped into the arrow this afternoon. I chose the mixed grill., now having eaten at the arrow before you know it’s going to be ok. But today was something else., the food was amazing, cooked to perfection. I would even say, it the best meal I have ever eaten at the arrow. Great friendly staff too. Thanks to Louise and the team.

We had carvery on Sunday which was lovely, played bingo on Tuesday, wish the noise wasn’t so bad when trying to play bingo, always some idiots shouting out numbers or shouting house! I feel this does make me feel about not going anymore, which is a shame because I love playing bingo!

Friendly staff and pretty decent food at a reasonable price. Big enough place that we could find a fairly quiet spot despite music and football going on in other parts of the pub.

Very happy with the staff and the food was amazing really enjoyed my visit I will be back again every 2 Sundays

I went to the arrow today for a Sunday carvery with my friends there was a lovely girl at the bar who served us with a smile and was so polite, I ordered a large carvery. The carvery was delicious and the meat was tender. Will definitely come back again!

Usually a good service but today wasn't. No beef at 1.30 ? Was told they only had 1 joint ! On a regular Sunday that would be any where near enough let alone Easter Sunday. Changed my meal and asked for mixed grill, no mixed grills either, asked for surf n turf with steak medium to well done and it came burnt. Gave up and cut burnt top layer off and ljust ate it as I was so hungry by then. Very disappointed as I've never had a bad meal there before. Same meats every week be nice if they mixed it up a.bit with some pork or lamb every now and then. Chips were really good though 😁

Came in Sunday with my family nice atmosphere i requested a quiet to eat with my family the bar lady lottie did amazing job seat and very polite and funny lush food

Excellent pub to come for food + sports. Food was excellent for how busy it was (on a Saturday) was loud at times but expected due to the occasion. Lottie took all orders for me and my only friend in the whole world and we were well looked after.

Pool, sports + Salted Caramel Cookie Brownie... Need I say more? Fine I will - excellent and welcoming service by Lottie and Aydin (took separate orders). Food was great and loads to choose from.

Came for a carvery with my family today, and was very impressed with the selection on offer. All the food was hot and really tasty! We all enjoyed our meals and the staff were so attentive and helpful. Hats off to the chef too, she clearly knows what's she's doing.

Well done on your carvery! Excellent selection and really tasty. I had a large and my wife a regular, and we couldn't finish it all! The gammon is amazing... Some of the best I've had (including my wife's - don't tell her!) Saw the chef as she came down to check on everything and gave her the praise she deserved too... Give that woman a raise!

Came on Monday for the football and a pint. Great place to watch the game and grab some classic pub "grub"... Some say "too great". Staff were very welcoming and Lottie took all orders with great accuracy (I'm a fussy, dirty vegan)

I visited on Friday although was slightly busy the food still came out quickly. I was served by Lottie who was very polite and communicated well regarding the wait times on the food, I couldn't fault her. When the food came it was all cooked to perfection and was thoroughly enjoyed. We will definitely be returning in the future.

Came in here to watch Six yesterday it was absolutely great Me and my friends had an 0% Guinness. It tasted fantastic. You could not tell the difference. The screen is massive. We cannot wait to come here and watch the Euros in June. The atmosphere is going to be amazing great place

Came in Saturday night with my friends for a meal, a bit of a wait for food but we didn't mind as the pub was very busy and the atmosphere reminded me of the old days before covid where the pubs were busy and everyone was having a good time. When the food arrived it was hot and the BURGER SAUCE was out of this world, I already want another burger. Thank you Lily for great service we will be back.

Fantastic place me and my friends came here to watch the six-nations yesterday. It was absolutely fantastic we had not some Guinness you could not taste the difference at all. The screen is massive. The burgers were great ultimate seven fried chicken burger had hashbrowns bacon and cheese in it tasted great. We will definitely be back here to watch the Euros in June. It’s gonna be an immense atmosphere with the massive screenbuzzing for it

Came here with my family towards the 6 nations yesterday. The amateur was great. We can't wait to come back and watch More sports.We all had a burger which was fantastic and came down within about 15 minutes, which was really quick.We were expecting it to take longer as the pub was very busy.We will definitely be telling our friends to come back here again.As it is a great atmosphere for sports

4 out of 6 meals had items missing. Asked staff - one side dish appeared (and order of onion rings contains 1 and 2 half rings) none of the other missing items brought we were informed they were probably out of stock. One meal cold. Multiple people vaping inside. Long waits. Just horrible. Please don't put yourself through this!

Such a lovely carvery me and my family had. My eldest ordered a steak as didn't feel like a carvey and he loved it he said it was cooked perfectly. The atmosphere is amazing as well. Oh dear. Oh dear. I was looking forward to having a beer and a meal in the arrow this week. Mid week treat but I'm not sure this was a treat. I almost feel I should be asking the bar staff for Id. A couple of them look like they have only just packed away their crayons and here they are serving alcohol to customers. Ordered my food and waiting for it to be brought out I wasn't sure this was going to be by another under age server or coming out on a boat with the amount of water flooding the gents. Ahoy it's my food....... how many time has this stuff gone round inside the microwave before the chef decided it was over cooked. To top it off bingo was in full flow and boy was they not happy to be competing with the sound of the sports I was trying to watch.. maybe i should've brought my double dabber.

Came here for bingo on Tuesday night was absolutely great our first time, louise and lillie were great,There was a football match on so it was a little bit loud, but we really enjoyed it. We played bingo and won 160 pounds, which made us happy. We had 2 cowboy burgers that were great. We will definitely come again.
