This is definitely my "go-to" place to meet friends, especially in the current difficult times. The staff are friendly, welcoming, and very efficient. The menu is very good, the surroundings are immaculately clean and the tables well spaced - all of the staff wear masks and orders are brought directly to your table. Payment is contactless. The restrooms are equally immaculately clean and have been refurbished in order to provide as good a 'no-touch' experience as it is possible to achieve. In these concerning times, all of this ensures a relaxing and comfortable experience - a lot of time and thought has quite obviously gone into providing a Covid-safe environment that is as reassuring as possible. Highly recommended.

10 of us recently met up for a pre Christmas lunch. A lovely atmosphere with Christmas music and a large Christmas tree in the cafe to get in the festive spirit. Very friendly welcoming staff . Our food was all brought out in minutes to the whole table when we ready and was piping hot and delicious. Can certainly recommend the pesto salmon. A relaxing couple of hours had by all. Well done to the staff especially as the cafe was full and quite busy ( but plenty of room ). Many thanks to all. 🤗

Attended their Women of Rock evening and it was an amazing dinner dinning experience. The staff were so freindly the food was out of this world and the event was very quirky. Sitting on the stage of the Chequer Mead watching the band "Women of Rock" Was a great evening.

Excellent food and wine, and friendly professional service. Also good knowledge of gluten free requirements and a nice choice on the menu. We were off to a concert at Adastra Hall so no time for dessert but we will be back! Certainly highly recommended..

Lovely place to eat and plenty of views and if you are lucky enough you may see the local fox that comes to visit from time to time.

As I vegan, I never expect to be able to eat anything special when I’m not in my home town of go to comforts.. but I was so blown away by their vegan rainbow sandwich! (Can’t remember it official name!) It was so beautifully presented and in abundance, it was such a treat! One of the best bites I’ve had in ages. Thank you! Left so happy !

I left my review as a private note through OpenTable but unfortunately have not heard anything from Safari Pizza about my experience. I don’t want the waitress to get into any trouble but my experience has made me not want to return. I asked for a burrata bomb pizza without the cherry tomatoes. The waitress seemed to feel this was wrong even though I know my own tastes. I have tried cherry tomatoes before and do not like them. The waitress decided I should have one cherry tomato and I didn’t feel I was able to say no. The waitress then came to the table later to check if I had tried the cherry tomato and when I said I still didn’t like them, she again didn’t seem happy with this. I said I found it tart but the waitress tried to correct me and told me I would have found it sweet. I am autistic and have struggled with food textures (and being teased as a child for some of my preferences) so this made me feel uncomfortable to the point I would not wish to return to Safari Pizza unfortunately.

Such a joy to find this little place. The food has that home-made nourishing feeling to it – really tasty and satisfying. The location, right by Devil's Dyke, is idyllic. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Lovely to sit outside and soak up the sun in its laid-back atmosphere.
