The Apple Barn Restaurant in Wychavon

Very expensive, Coffee weak as it's advertised as 2 shots. Not a welcome smile during ordering, cake has 1/5 missing yet still full price. This was our first time and probably our last. In this day and age, prices are increasing, however the quality and service doesn't seem to follow that trend.

Absolutely appalling quality of food. Baked potato with cheese and beans £8.95. Flavourless cheese, cheap tasteless beans, and a dated salad. Soggy skin on the potato. The tables were sticky, cutlery was mismatched, and covered in drying marks. I certainly would not recommend it. The chef should be embarrassed.

Really good breakfast would have come for dinner if I had known. If staying at premier inn eat here don't eat at the beefeater.

Just visited the Apple Barn Restaurant, as we have done before with our small dog. Ordered, paid for tea and cakes, just to be pounced on by a member of the team. "We don't allow dogs in here" When I could clearly see other dogs at other tables.We were going to sit outside because it was raining, but we chose to sit inside as we have before. "There are signs outside". Well we certainly could not see any signs from the entry point. There was a sign behind the hot food counter, which you could only see if you standing in front of it. Well at least all the other cafes in the centre welcome dogs. We walked out and had a refund vowing NEVER to return again!

The staff and service are very good and friendly. Been visiting for a few years but now find the meals are getting smaller and the prices seem more expensive for what you are getting. I’m not a big eater and I’ve found that the amount you get is taking away the satisfaction of eating here.plus soft drinks are very pricey for a small glass of Coke. My opinion you’re not going to attract regular customers.

Always seems expensive for what you actually receive.

Lacklustre hoard of teenagers uninterested at serving you if it’s past 3pm, even though there’s probably ten of them. The cake was like rubber. The seating outside is okay, could do with a wash, and the view is of nothing more than shop frontages. Much nicer places a short drive away.

A group of us, including two toddlers, had lunch here during a trip to the Cotswolds. The food was good, although they’d run out of jacket potatoes just before we ordered, so I had to order a fish butty instead. It was very nice but quite pricey at £12.95 despite its size. Our friends had to wait over 20 minutes for two sausage rolls which just needed warming up. All in all, a bit of a mixed bag.

Poor quality food and ingredients. Overpriced. There’s no love in these dishes. Disappointing experience and needless to say, we won’t be returning.

Whilst the burger is delicious it is overpriced for what it is. The portion of chips that comes with it is stingy considering the price they charge and how much it probably costs them to bulk buy frozen chips.

I had 'homemade ' vegetable soup it tasted like powder soup £6.95 ,my wife had a ham sandwich it was plastic ham not proper ham £8.45 .it seems that it was under new management. Not very happy

Had breakfast and was disappointed, I had a full English and the scrambled eggs have no taste at all and are oily the black pudding tasted more like a haggis with the amount of spice in it Partner had the Eggs Royale and the 2 eggs were undercooked with runny whites when you cut into the eggs Staff felt like they were more interested in having conversations with each other than serving customers, and a very odd way to get hot drinks then move to another counter to pay and then order hot food

Full English breakfast expensive and of poor quality , scrambled eggs were runny,bacon was more fat than anything else,fried tomato looked like it had been microwaved ,asked the waitress why the Quality was so poor said she would go and see the Chef , didn’t come back and say anything ,overall a very poor experience for a cafe in a garden centre wouldn’t recommend.

What a complete nightmare first get a table leave valuables while you go order your drinks then pay at the till for drinks and food then the festive menu which looks delicious but you cant help yourself so you get half on there you dont want and a portion size you cant eat as you only have a small appetite. No thank you cancelled my order. Wont return. Girls were apologetic not their fault its company pilicy to do this way.

Very expensive for a roast dinner served cold on a cold plate. Absolute bedlam ordering process especially to "help yourself" drink options. 3 cold roast dinners, 1 soup, 4 small soft drinks £68 and 2 meals were for my elderly parents!! Posh restaurant pricing set in a loud, clattering, disorganised, drafty cafe to be quite honest!

Unfortunately I can't rate the food. We arrived at 245 . Ordered only to be told they had turned off the oven. We travelled 45 mins to get here. Very disappointed

Staff not very attentive, gave us the wrong meal. Guests were unhygienic and staff didn't do anything about it. Food slow to come and confusing ordering process.

Ordered two beef dinners on Sunday , cold veg and roast potato’s were rock hard . Won’t be going again , £3 for a small glass of sprite is a joke .

No sourdough toast sadly, but my poached eggs on gluten free toast were very good. Staff excellent.

The prices are horrendous, they would be steep if everything was cooked fresh to order, but it’s not. £10 for a sorry looking prawn baguette sat in a refrigerator all day is scarcely believable. Don’t waste your money here.

Restaurant "ran out of hot food" by the time half of our party got to the till. The menu was then snatched rudely out of my husband's hand. The other half of the party said the food they were served was cold and stale and very overpriced! Not a fan!

Expensive for what it is, and poor quality. The egg and mayo and chives on bloomer was bland mush, without texture or flavour. And why on earth use "aruga" for what everyone knows as "rocket" unless you want to sound pretentious.

Used to have a great carvery. Now its dished up for you with tiny positions and a tiny jug of water gravy we had dirty glasses and it very expensive covid bandwagon needs to finish, hot dinning area with wasps flying around. Don't bother disappointed.

Went here last week with our 2 grandchildren. We had 2 kids meals which were to say the least very disappointing. The sandwich was one slice if stale bread, no butter and small slice of ham. Way over priced, over £8 compared to dobbies menu and performance, indeed if you buy an adult meal kids eat free! Hence wont be buying another. We had ciabatta, which was tastless.we wont be having another of those either, come to think of it we wont be eating there again!

Went for Breakfast on Bank Monday. We have visited before and as a previous experience the food is very good. Full English Breakfast a little over £10 You get good thick bacon, a nice slice of Black pudding. Portions are good. There are lots of other options Always a nice atmosphere and very clean dining area. Staff friendly and helpful.

Quality of food doesn't meet expectations at that price bracket. £8.50 for a Baguette that could have been in a supermarket meal-deal

Always go here and usually find it amazing but please what have you done to the salad garnish …….. peas and sweetcorn…….please bring back how it was .

First visit and the food was great (I had the goats cheese frittata). Very impressed with the salads and you get loads. Even though the restaurant was almost full the food came out quickly. Will definitely go back

Highly vegan unfriendly. I didn't find even a single option without egg amongst the cakes.

Had the Arugula and basil pesto risotto...amazing! Full of flavour and a good portion. Best garlic ciabatta even. Busy but staff are efficient and friendly. Service was very quick. Well done all 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

If I could give a zero star I would. Food was awful for both myself and my guest. Would love to show the pic of how little we each ate as proof. I will not be returning

Treated myself and my son to an amazing full English breakfast yesterday.

We stopped here on our return from our grandson's wedding at Lapstone Barn with a large family group. Quality of food was very good, the restaurant very well organised, and service friendly and efficient...an excellent venue for lunch with a large group.

Food portions too big. 6 of us went for brunch. It looks like self-service buffet, but it's not. When we'd finally ordered food, the quantities were enormous. Eggs in mayonnaise got sickly the more you ate, and vegetarian breakfast was too big. The girls were able to wrap up most of their shortbread for later! Halve the portions & therefore the price please!

Gluten free fish and chips soaked in grease. Shame as last time, roast dinner was good.

First time having breakfast here and it was amazing! Service was excellent, friendly staff who explained how ordering worked etc... and fast service. I was surprised it wasn't busier to be honest as it was a lovely day and the breakfast choice was so good! I had the brushetta with tomatoes, avocado, basil, spinach and seeds and it was absolutely amazing! 100% recommend. Prices were really reasonable too. Will definitely be back!

The place smelt, they saw us enter and my wife go up to order and then once we sat down for a bit while we waited a lady came over to say that they don't allow dog in there, such a joke, I think that dog should be allowed everywhere as most other allow my boy to sit with me plus why if they have such a strange rule about dogs as everywhere else in the shopping centre is dog friendly did they not say when they us come in

Overpriced and lack of attention to detail. We ordered two (unknowingly small) panini's, one was over toasted, the other not toasted at all and neither arrived with the crisps. When I asked for the crisps some were brought over however (although a meager 5 crisps each). The children's box meal came with half a very dry sandwich, just ham (not even butter). The chips were nice ..

Prices are high and the sandwiches ("paninis") are small and pretty poor. The hot food looks better so would recommend going for that. Service is quick but odd layout means you order at one till and its brought to your table, but no obvious reason why you couldn't just pick it up yourself. I wouldn't recommend eating here unless there you don't have a choice.

Visited at the weekend for breakfast, regretted it as soon as the food arrived. The unpleasant staff was the first red flag, should have turned around at the first 'greeting'. Only 1 friendly member of staff: Zena, who was very polite and pleasant. I had eggs royale, though I am incredibly unsure as to what the 'hollandaise sauce' really was, taste and texture was awful. My friends breakfasts were cold and bland, and VERY overpriced. Avoid, avoid, avoid. Even the drinks (teas and cappuccinos) tasted nasty, how could something so simple be so wrong?! My suggestion would be training or knocking down and starting again.

Went for breakfast and meet by a member of staff as soon as we entered. There is plenty of seating in a large area. Our order was taken quite quickly. I had the small breakfast which was simple but well cooked and tasty and a pot of tea with about three cups worth of tea in it. The prices are reasonable. The staff were plesent Would visit again.

Seated & ordered quickly. Small portions for price tag. Items stated on menu were missing from dishes delivered. The sandwich we ordered arrived on different bread to what was ordered, and items were included which we specifically asked not to be included. Our requests were included on the ticket so cannot fault the waitress; however the kitchen staff clearly choose fast service over quality service and therefore do not read tickets correctly. We also weren't informed on how to order any of the 'cold' items and weren't given a menu for these - so be sure to ask if you like the look of something as you are seated!! [Partner was disappointed to not have the option to try the Greek salad]. Unfortunately, with the errors and the price tag - we would not recommend this place.

One word to sum this restaurant up: - Disappointing

Very slow service. Table service understandable but totally ignored and when asked for service were told we hadn’t been waiting long! Not true! However bill adjusted to reflect wait.

Went there last week. Considering we are in a Covid pandemic, and staff serving in a restaurant, they ought to be wearing face shields ! They are going from table to table , mixing with the public...Not only are they not protecting themselves but also the public. Staff are standing over the top of you . Made me feel very uneasy..The management ought to sort this out, either wear a face masks or a face shield. The staff in the cafe wear face shields ! Won't be eating at Apple Barn again. Although the food was nice I thought it was overpriced .

Lots of outdoor seating for a socially distanced lunch.

Very slow service; people exiting within 1 metre of those still eating; lady at entrance told us ice cream was available only to be told by the waitress that this wasn't the case. We left immediately before we had a meltdown from our 4 year old grandson. Very disappointing. Coffee #1 is a far better option!

went there today with my wife. admittedly we have the covid epidemic but the service was diabolical. only 1 person seemed to be serving in the outside area there was 3 tables including ours waiting for service but she was serving tables that had come in after us and the other 2. After waiting 25 minutes we got up and walked out (still hungry) was stood out side for a while whilst my wife went into another shop and watched the waitress still serving later customers and the other 2 that were waiting with us still not served

Visited today to see how things were after reopening. Sorry but the coffee was tasteless the baguette was stale and had come straight from the fridge. Salad leaves dry and old. Hope things will improve.

Nice food, good service like everywhere else in Evesham can be very busy on Sunday. Anyway my sister and I enjoyed it

Visited The Valley this afternoon. Went to the Apple Barn restaurant for Coffee and a snack. The beef sandwich at £5.95 was literally curled almost in half and the lone tuna baguette looked overlooked for some considerable time. They had some quiche/frittata thing which looked completely dead as did the salad garnish and some sort of dressing which had a crust on it. My husband and I were convinced these were for display purposes only until the opened the cabinet and took the lone tuna baguette cut it in half and sent it out - we were totally blown away walked out and went to Coffee 1 had a very nice tuna cheese and red onion panini and a cup of tea. Still amazed at the standard of that place 😲

Had a very pleasant afternoon visit to the Apple Barn for coffee and cake. Sat outside on comfortable chairs in the sunshine. Good service by a smiley, friendly lady. Large free car park.

Absolute disgrace! Been a couple if times hoping it would get better but alas! Awful cheap coffee beans, made with single shots to increase an already astronomical margin,made badly by totally inexperienced staff, massively over priced mediocre food, on par with cafeteria food, cakes look good but dam if I'm gonna spend £4 on a slice of bought in cake. Dirty tables, grubby cutlery, cloudy glasses, and chaotic service by an army of 16 year olds who just don't care, this place is obviously all about as much profit as they can get, customer respect way down the list of priorities.

The cafe is in desperate need of an update and refit. Service was slow and doesn't look set up to deal with the size of the cafe. I'd got a pot of tea and it was awful, too much water for one tea bag. I'd recommend going a few doors down and visiting Coffee #1.

I was very dissapointed after paying £2 per pot and having 2 pots of tea today from you....which tasted like hot milky water.....I can only suggest that you should seriously consider changing your tea bags and giving us a decent cuppa.or at least give customers a choice of tea bags....

A large selection of gifts and items. We did a bit of Christmas shopping and were pleased with what we found.

Called in for a coffee and Danish pastry. (And toilet). They had a deal for Danish and drink.

I can't say much for the staff here. The food was nice and was prepared relatively quickly, but the staff didn't really seem equipped with much logic. The restaurant was extremely busy, and I would normally expect that we carry our own drinks to.the table. This time though we had two people carry our drinks over to us (both at the same time). In this situation, if they still want to carry the drinks over to us at least have one person use a tray while the other helps serve other customers. Only a small gripe, but with the length of the queue and how long we had to wait until we were served it seems more logical. Quality for the price point was ok, just needs to speed up service a bit.
