Friday night, so it's got to be the fish and chips. A piece of rather anaemic, battered haddock, bigger than the sole of my size 11 shoe, sitting on a bed of - allegedly - 'triple cooked' chips. Alas, these were served just about tepid, a cardinal sin with triple cooked chips, which really do need to be served piping hot. My hunch is these were frozen cash & carry chips, rather than something conceived by a commis chef chopping potatoes out the back. And that little ramekin on the plate containing minted mushy peas, again tepid and congealed on top. Why do kitchen staff think customers won't notice? It feels like a kitchen that's not really trying, and is happy to churn out the ordinary rather than the memorable. On a positive note, a very attentive and efficient waitress, so thank you.

Queríamos un lugar para una celebración íntima con nuestra familia después de casarnos cerca – no podríamos estar más felices de haber elegido a los pescadores. Jade fue un placer trabajar en la organización, y todo el equipo no podría haber sido más amable en el día. La comida era deliciosa en cada plato. ¡Qué desperdicio de dinero! Si crees que "todos los recortes" significa una fiesta, ¡piénsalo de nuevo! En Fuller's, "todos los adornos" significa pavo - que fue agradable, pero todo lo demás fue un desastre absoluto. Patatas asadas crudas, brotes duros de bala, una sola zanahoria asada quemada y chirivías. No hay otras verduras, pudín de Yorkshire o queso de coliflor, peor que un asado básico de domingo. ¡Y todo esto por 125 libras por persona! A ese precio, esperaría mucho mejor que las cenas escolares deficientes. Cuando planteamos nuestras preocupaciones, tuvieron la osadía de "hacerlo bien" eliminando el cargo por servicio — ¡como si no hubieran hecho nada malo! Me sentí totalmente asaltado, para ser justos, y arruinó una gran reunión familiar. Ahorra dinero y evita este lugar si buscas comida decente; ¡las críticas no mienten!

We thoroughly enjoyed our annual Christmas get together at The Anglers last night. 😀 Great service from friendly staff. Not rushed. Good choice of dishes from Christmas menu and general. Music and Christmas stalls in the courtyard made it a very festive experience. A room off the main bar area meant we could catch up in relative privacy but still enjoy the conviviality of the bar area. 10 happy 'old' friends.

Jade expertly organised our dance group's Xmas party for 22 people. We had a private upstairs room with own attendant all night. Super easy to order food and pay in advance using their convenient email link system. Great food choices which everyone was delighted with and found delicious. Pay as you go drinks so no issues at end of night. Space so beautifully decorated with Xmas cheer. Only great feedback from all and talk if returning every year we loved it so much. Such professional and friendly service from all staff. Thank you. Highly recommend for functions and every day dining. Anglers Teddington is the best 🎄❣️

Gran ubicación junto al río, buen pub. Tuve un problema el jueves, la gerencia se puso en contacto conmigo para resolver remotamente. Sin embargo, yo estaba de vuelta en los pescadores en un cerdo asado el sábado, así que hablé con el gerente que resolvió el problema de manera efectiva e inmediata, sin ningún problema. Gracias! La cerveza y el cerdo asado eran excelentes.

Realmente no disfruté de la comida. Teníamos el hummus de guisante con pan plano y los nachos para compartir. Ambos eran terribles. El humus de guisante y el pan plano era horrible. Básicamente guisantes húmedos rociados con un poco de aceite de chile y piñones y un pan plano. Era insípido. El pan plano no estaba fresco. Por 8 libras la porción era pequeña. Los nachos compartidos eran horribles, sabía como si todos los ingredientes hubieran salido de un frasco. Todo muy procesado y no es bueno! £ 14 por el privilegio también. La presentación fue horrible, todo servido en recipientes desechables sin servilletas. Todo se sentía barato (aunque no era por lo que tienes!) y como si te estuvieran asaltando.

We celebrated a 40th birthday in the private upstairs room, with around 50 guests. The space was beautiful and we were given plenty of time beforehand to decorate with our own flowers etc. Food was delicious and commented on by all the guests. We were looked after so well by Jen and Isaac, they manned the private bar and ensured the pre-ordered prosecco was free flowing. Jade was super helpful in the lead up to the event, answering all queries and making sure we’d thought of everything. It really was a perfect venue for a fabulous celebration, huge thanks to The Anglers and their brilliant team xxx

On arrival extremely busy had two buggies and no ramp for easy access. Went to ordered drinks we Were told had to sit in an area til we found our own table. Waited 40 minutes for the table. When we went to the bar were told taking no food orders as had 6pages of orders to get through !!Total waste of time. All staff have contact with each other through headsets and was not relayed to customers a good look but that’s about it. Maybe seeing other reviews we got away lightly !! Need to get their act together.

Our son and daughter in law had their wedding party here yesterday. Everyone had an amazing time! Lovely food and excellent service. Thank you Everyone.

Appalling!!!! Really anti children. Rude, difficult and obstructive. We booked for 13 people including children but they moaned that our well behaved 12 year olds were walking around the outside space. Told me I should have them sit next to me and “wasn’t that why you have children”! Hottest day of the year and the garden was heaving but they repeatedly picked on our children. So unbelievably rude! The Spanish manager was super rude and disrespectful. There are plenty of lovely bars and restaurants in Teddington that welcome families! Will never go back. Really unpleasant nasty staff.

Beautiful setting but service was extremely slow despite being a Tuesday lunchtime and not very busy.. I ordered the pancakes and streaky bacon and poached eggs and at time of ordering asked if it came with maple syrup.. I was told yes and when the food arrived no maple syrup in sight and was told it had been out in pancakes ... I couldn't see or taste any.. I asked for a small pot of maple syrup which took well over 5 minutes to arrive by which time my food was stone cold.. I mentioned the long delay and the waitress said she would get the chef to heat it up.. I assume in the microwave ... Not good and the delay meant I ate alone as my partner had finished hers ... Asked for the bill and an equally long wait ... Great place and food was good but slow service will mean I won't be rushing back..

Average and overpriced food. May be a good place for drinks in summer as it has great outdoor space but found it to be overpriced for what it is. Portion sizes of kids meals are frankly shocking for the price. Spend in excess of £100 for 2 main meals, a couple of packets of crisps, some kids juices and 2 kids meals.

Went for dinner with my wife and very impressed with decor and ambiance, it was all down hill from there. Waited a long time at the bar for drinks and given a pint that hadn’t been pulled correctly with the head still overflowing. Ordered olives and focaccia with dips to start and I ordered a burger and my wife the plant burger. Waited 30minutes for starters and where told they had been left on a different table by mistake and that our main meals where also ready. Given the choice to take both at the same time or leave our Burgers sitting in the kitchen for a few minutes, not great options. We asked to send the starters back and were left the olives for free as an apology which was nice. The burgers were a big disappointment with mine being bland at best and my wife’s plant burger being what I can only describe as a tasteless lump of gluppy stuff. Not ones to make a fuss my wife did mention the uneaten burger was a disappointment but just got a “sorry about that” and conversation closed. It’s a nice placed for a drink being on the river but I’d avoid the food going on our experience.

Popped in here on Christmas day and have to say that the staff were amazing, although they were very busy, they still managed to serve with a smile. We didn't eat but the food looked great. Thank you for a very pleasant hour. We'll be back.

During and after a place to relax with your family or even alone, the food is delicious and the views are gorgeous!

An amazing pub for families with delicious food and wide range of drinks. The beautiful view of the river at sunset is priceless.

Wonderful place on the river with lovely staff. It is pretty big with a large indoor restaurant with beautiful (presumably new) decor and bar and sprawling outdoor restaurant and Aperol style deck chair area with pontoon by the water's edge. The food is good (Fish burger for example) the only let down is the tiny portion of chips with it. All in all I love the place and the view is a godsend with the lock, boats and swans etc. It would be good if boats weren't allowed to moor up against the pontoon as it spoils the view for everyone else (the boat owners didn't leave the boat to buy anything from the venue).

Best Vegan Roast in Teddington by far!! We were wonderfully looked after for our family Sunday lunch on my husbands birthday. Staff were all lovely and so helpful with my daughter’s allergy and made a fuss of the birthday boy!! Atmosphere was warm and relaxed. Food really good, especially the Vegan roast! great wine list and glorious setting right on the river. Wonderful! We had had a dreadful experience here a few years ago and were a little anxious to return, but everywhere deserves a second chance and wow are we pleased we made the booking! Really looking forward to our next visit! Thanks to all the team working last Sunday you made our day!

Anglers has always been our go to place for bigger events like friend re union or a work do. The location by the river is perfect for a hot summers day and the ambience is great with all the greenery. service is at its best too with great staff and a variety of drinks and food to order. . It’s a beautiful place to chill.

Excellent time and excellent staff, honestly a great experience, came for a surprise birthday event held upstairs and the staff were so friendly and communal, Grace has been excellent with getting our drinks getting boxes for food and she always served us with a smile, a brilliant experience l, lovely pub, friendly staff and she really helped make it a experience I’ll be coming back for, and bringing friends

The service was swift, the meal was delectable, and the employees were all quite nice. The views were spectacular, which was made even better by the gorgeous weather. The service was very attentive to the demands of each customer, and the tables was beautifully decorated with newly soiled plants and candle lanterns. The restrooms were also spotless! Small team with A++ efficiency. GRACIAS, it was a nice round off to our trip.

Lovely setting and ok service but totally threw their hands in the air about appalling parking in the car park, one car blocking two usable parking spaces and making it really difficult to get out of the car park. Beef and chicken ok, nothing special but roast potatoes tasted like last week’s and veg pushed al dente to the limit. Yorkshire puds good, favourless gravy. Watch your bill, we were overcharged.

A large group of us went to the Anglers on a Saturday night and were incredibly disappointed. Food and drinks were overpriced and slow to be served but the most disappointing part of the whole evening was the attitude of the staff, in particular the manager who seemed to stalk around the bar, restaurant and outdoor area with a massive chip on his shoulders. Very rude and arrogant with his responses and spoke to us as if we were lucky to have a few seconds of his time. I wouldn't recommend this place, there are lots and lots of lovely pubs and restaurants in Teddington worth visiting instead.

Food is over priced for the very small portion. Had the chicken schnitzel and Caesar salad. Very small and hardly any salad. Waitress told us that it depends on who is serving on the night as to how much salad they give you. Would never eat there again.

Really good service and food, on what would of been a challenging day for the staff. Packed garden, 150+ easily, all eating and drinking merrily in the 30 degree sunshine. Our waitress was superb, treated myself and my daughter as if we the only ones there, full respect to that young lady, that is old school service. Well done.
