Has improved since the refresh that did away with Purity ales in favour of Camden and bland lager. Food, service and atmosphere are good.

The salad was woeful and had about a tablespoon of processed chicken that had been warmed up. Chips weren’t hot. They were like warm at best. I was in a table of 10. We all eat at different times despite ordering within the same 5 minute window. Awful.

Not a great experience, ordered food around 10 minutes after 2 other customers who received theirs in good time At the time of my order, told there maybe a little delay because of friers being serviced, not an issue, then 30 minutes later 2 more customers came in and ordered to get their order 10 minutes later but for me still no food, when i questioned this i was told there had been an error with the system and my order hadn't gone through even though payment taken and 2 before and 2 after hadn't had an issue, wasn't impressed with this and not the best Halloumi burger i have had

Best avoid! Past its best, was much better a year or so ago. It’s almost pub grub, if you like limited menu cold pub food. Lucky to get one word answers from disinterested staff, assuming you ask the correct question. Location is handy, but suggest Spend your money elsewhere.

The hamburger that costs 15 pounds is horrible, and they served me half toasted, it looked like a shoe sole after asking for it red or a little raw and the bread was not fresh, you could tell it was several days old I will never return to this place to eat again.Frozen MEAT

Great for pre match drinks! Great atmosphere, friendly service too. Watch out for the lip on the edge of the bar. My Mother in law spilt her drink and my partner spilt mine on it! They replaced both for free!! Bonus!! Home fans only!!! PUSB!!!

Vert disappointed to go today to find it closed even though it says open fromm 11am on website. My son has adhd and refuses to leave the house most days. We encouraged him out today with the promise of playing on ps5. Thus has resulted in a massive meltdown and upset. My advise is correct times on website to stop this happening to others

Chicken was spicy, but that's all I can say about the food. Staff were half arsed to be blunt bar the one serving the food. Considering it was 7pm, it was practically empty and could still barely hear the TV

There is not one main that can be prepared Gluten Free.

Most awful gammon I have ever had. The Chef said this is a gammon steak.it was ok bacon but not worth £17 ! Fish so over cooked nearly in-edible what a shame.

A nice venue for a casual pint and the food is decent when it eventually comes. I visited with a group of people, it took ages to get drinks. Once we had ordered food, it took an hour and a half to arrive. The staffs were apologetic, but its simply not acceptable. Better management is needed here.

Very nice food.. But unfortunately the place is losing its name due to the staff working here.. Super unprofessional, arrogant, and not welcoming at all.. @Owners, it seems the ladies you have at the bar are not happy at all with their job or don't like to work at all.. It is better to get the right people for this job. Else, such a nice atmosphere is losing its credibility.. I'm super disappointed with the unprofessional and non welcoming behaviour....

Had Double Burger and Chips and Chicken Wings and Chips with 2 Drinks, £32.70, I thought about the right price for a Sports Bar attached to an Arena. Plenty of Food outlets outside but not easy to find tables in the same comfort. Big Screen and smaller screens with Sky Sports on. Staff were friendly and helpful, waiting time for food was 20 to 30 Mins.

Cool stadium bar, nice interior and loads of tv’s to watch footie. Friendly staff and good selection of beers on draught. Bang average food.

My “Caesar salad” has wet croutons, overcooked chicken and rotting lettuce leaves. No egg, bacon or anchovies. The other food may be good

The bar staff sat chatting and laughing loudly at a table whilst dirty plates and glasses on the other tables and food on the floor. Expensive, but warm inside. Shame about the service.

I visited the bar during exhibition days. Chilli Nachos were amazing, draft beer fresh and tasty and the staff very professional.

Very busy during match time but rhe staff os amazing and you dont wait more than 5min for a beer. I accidentaly drop mine as soon ad they give me 🤣🤦‍♂️ and they made me another one for free. Splendid client service, something very rare to find in England. 5 stars deserved!

As stadium bars go; this is actually a very nice one. Friendly efficient staff, clean toilets, pleasant surroundings. And, only £5/pint for Heineken; which for a stadium isn't too bad.. 1/10/22 update: The food, while not the cheapest, was very good

I used the Anecdote on a few nights during a week long stay in the adjoining Hilton hotel. The food was hit and miss. I sampled a pan fried chicken breast dish, sausage and mash and a tomato penne pasta dish. The chicken and sausage and mash dishes were good and generously sized but the penne dish was like a really poor microwave meal. On each occasion I used the restaurant there was no orange juice available, strange as I visited over a whole week. Prices are what you would expect to pay for pub grub style food, most mains around £15/£16. For convenience I wouldn't have too much issue using this place again, if I was in the staying in adjoining hotel.

Staying at the DoubleTree Hilton and this is the restaurant within the hotel. Very basic bar food and very expensive. Had the beetroot risotto which was meant to come with baby beetroots and a rocket salad. The rocket was old and clearly off - told the waiter and he just took the rocket off the risotto and said he would tell the kitchen. There were no baby beets with it and it was clear the risotto was a microwaved meal. Inedible. My husband had a chicken caesar salad which was made of some charred lettuce and very dry chicken. Not like any caesar salad I have ever seen. So £30 lighter, one inedible meal and one barely edible.

We came here to watch the football and had a meal while was there. The food was great, staff was friendly and its a great place to watch the football. Would recommend to anyone in the area.

We attended for commonwealth games. We had both morning and evening sessions. Not only did they close early after the first session, they wouldn’t even show the womens football final!! It’s supposed to be a SPORTS BAR!!! Why won’t they show different sports. Many people who weren’t attending the commonwealth games wanted to watch the football but they refused. What harm would it have done!! Obviously they run a business that doesn’t want to make much money.

Good selection of beers; food was decent enough (although took about half an hour for two burger and chips). Bar staff completely uninterested in customers. We visited when there must have been barely fifteen customers in on a Friday night and we were treated as if we were a bit of an inconvenience. It's a shame because it's a decent bar, but basics clearly not being done.

Only thing that made the visit her was our group having a great weekend. The staff are terrible. Not welcoming. Not friendly. No hospitality skills. Rude.

The food was, for a football stadium, very good, and the staff are lovely. Much better than you normally associate a venue where you think of 'corporate hospitality'.

Taken over the space previously used for Wasps shop. Good range of beers and spirits as well as tea/coffee and (expensive?) food.

Pretty terrible and pointless place. Has the potential to be great but staff clearly not trained in any hospitality at all. No greeting as you enter or menu at tables or even qr codes... The venue was only around 20% capacity when we entered yet we were told we couldn't order food because the kitchen can't handle their current order of just 15 burgers LOL. You can only laugh really. It was insanely overpriced menu anyway, see their website to view yourself. 2 star simply for a nice looking venue.

Had to wait over 40 minutes for our dinner but when it came it was absolutely delicious and far better than food that is usually available in similar venues. A delightful surprise thank you.

We were a party of 12 that visited Anecdote Bar on Friday night. There were six kids and six adults. We were massively impressed with this bar, the service and the food was fantastic. In particular a big thanks to Amy and Bri for being so patient and helpful and making sure our children have a great night. We will defo be back! Thanks Again. Dean

They don't sell Guinness and the Stout they do sell is revolting.

Very poor we were told this sports bar was open until around 10:30, so ordered food and drinks to watch the game. They switched all the TVs off at 9:30 as a way of getting people to leave. This is supposed to double up as the bar/restaurant for the Hilton Hotel but doesn’t really deliver.

I have only been to the Anecdote after Wasp's games. But the service is incredibly slow, the Barmaids' (can I still use the word?) are all gorgeous to look at but so badly organised and untrained that you can wait 20 minutes for a drink. It's noticeable that nobody bothers with a second drink. The Anecdote is a 7-day operation, so one would expect slicker service. The service is so slow, that we scrubbed the idea of trying a meal during the week. I had a long career in Hospitality, including working at 2 stadiums, training bar-staff and Licensees.

Ordered the chilli dog and it was really salty no taste as was the cheesy chips , won't eat again .. Tvs way to loud. And don't sell guiness not impressed really after all the hype will use a local pub in future ...

Visited whilst on work Event. Pleasant place, shuffleboard is great and we had 6/7 people playing on rotation. Actually food was nice, prawn option was very good. Drinks as expected, could do with some Belgium beers bottle options. Staff all quiet young but offered nice service. Lunchtime menu is limited. Note amount of stars doesn’t mean it’s good or bad for me, review more important!

Warm friendly welcome. Modern look and excellent choices of drinks. Food very good but limited on choice on match days especially gluten free. Staff didn't think there was any gluten free options. If so perhaps you could address this.

Good drink choices, clean venue and decent food

Been a couple of times for take away while working locally. Served quickly and not a problem getting it take away. Food ok, had better, today had a caesar salad that had plenty of chicken but was drenched in dressing. On previous visits I had the chicken burger and fish finger sandwich which were ok. If I'm honest they are over priced for what you get but nothing else locally doing hot food.

No meet and greet , no staff to welcome you, sign at the front to find your own table - then no menus on tables - finally found staff and told only limited menu was on - no table service - place was untidy

Enjoyed our visit, food was great and good selection of beers. Some of the staff were great but some were a little grumpy, not rude but not friendly either. Will definitely go again .

Awesome bar, could do with a couple more staff pouring the drinks on game days as your order is taken and can wait 10 mins for your drinks order to be served. However this was the first Wasps home game hopefully this will be addressed for future game I would recommend this bar

Enjoyed a katsu chicken burger. It was very nice but it took around 45 minutes to arrive. I'm out of touch with service times at the moment but this seems like a long wait.

Such a poor experience here before the football match. We waited over 30 minutes to get served a drink and queue wasn't even deep. All staff going pace of a snail. No urgency or pace to go at any reasonable speed. They all looked new and inexperienced, purposely looking away from guests. Even the manager (I assume she was the manager) showed no urgency. We had to ask for someone to serve us. Wanted a pint but after waiting for so long we only had time for a half pint before rushing for the game. Would be in no rush to come back here again.

Went to watch the footy and I can say I will be back. Fantastic choice of beer, great food/service and the biggest walled TV in the city and plenty of other screens dotted around with decent sound.

Visited this bar to watch the arsenal vs Brentford game, it was a great experience. The service was fantastic, the chicken burger was elegant and tasteful. The big screen and audio of the match cannot be matched around Coventry. Would 100% recommend people to visit...
