The Amir in Bracknell Forest

Ate in the restaurant on one of the hottest nights of the year. Air conditioning not turned on and just 2 small fans in use....one of which was for the staff by the till area !! Food was ok ( no more) but the whole experience was so uncomfortable we ate up and left in 45 minutes. No surprise that there was only one other table occupied !!

Sadly I feel I have to say The Amir is a shadow of its former self. I went with my partner for lunch. There was only one other couple in the restaurant and when I chose a table was told ‘no not that one’ and showed to the next one. There was no soda water and a very frosty reception. No plates were cleared so we placed them on the next table. The waiter came over looked at us as if we had committed a crime. What a shame. We won’t return and I would advise anyone to think about going there.

We haven’t had a takeaway for quite a while so we decided to treat ourselves to an Indian one. We weren’t disappointment and thoroughly enjoyed the fantastic food. There was nothing left over 😊

This was my Ist visit to the Amir restaurant, the restaurant is spacious and very nice, my table was close to the window. The menu was full of different dishes, I chose the meat mixed starter which was delicious followed by the Katmandoo lamb, special rice, Sagaloo and Narn bread, the portions were large and delicious, I was unable to eat everything and the waiter offered me a doggie bag, overall this was a lovely place to eat, I would recommend it to everyone.

Best sevice , friendly staff, always helpful, beautiful food nice and spicy, but can be ordered on personal choices and preferences, and allergens issues can sorted by checking the chart on the available manus, and much more.

Lovely food, I had the Amir special, aubergine side dish and a nan, so tasty, first time that I’ve been there, will defo go back and recommend it

Found this restaurant by accident and haven’t been disappointed. Lovely poppadums and delicious pickle tray. Beautiful chicken tikka jalfrezi, pilau rice and chapati. Absolutely delicious. Highly recommend it.

AMIR Restaurant, Binfield. STAY AWAY if you are having food delivered. We have used this restauraunt for a couple of years now. Some meals that we have delivered are great, some not so great. Last night we ordered from them and to be honest we threw the lot in the bin!!! I ordered Chicken Sahslik, it was very obvious that the chicken had been cooked numerous times throughout the day and we had last pickings. I would not have served it to my dogs. So mind made up...... NO MORE FROM AMIR. Cost cutting and to be honest, if you are messing about with peoples food like this, could be dangerous.

Had dinner here a couple of Saturday's ago, had never been before. It was lovely, very nice modern decor, food was super, very tasty and very reasonably priced. Staff friendly and attentive. Not terribly busy, but we were quite early! Car park right outside, lots of spaces. Will definitely go again.

Another amazing takeaway from Amir’s last night. Prompt service and delivery. Food is always fresh and very very tasty.

We like the Amir but hadn't been in a while - though the restaurant was not busy at 7pm, the service was excellent and polite and the food was superb at a very reasonable price. They have refurbished the place and it is very pleasant. We won't be away so long next time! Great

Excellent food and service and reasonably priced. Plenty of parking right outside with easy access. Small and intimate which a few tables are close together when busy. Would recommend.

Not a pleasant experience, average meal with average service BUT NOT an average bill. Was overcharged but didn't notice at the time. They wouldn't do anything about it next day. Best advice go somewhere else

We recently ordered a take away and it was only when we got home that discovered part of our order was missing. We contacted Amirs and their response was disappointing, they eventually agreed to refund only part of our meal. Went in to collect refund and refused as denied knowing anything about it! The food we had was disappointing so all in all we couldn't recommend going to Amirs for a takeaway and will definitely not be ordering another takeaway based on food or lack of it and poor customer service.

Good service, prompt delivery tasty food could not fault at all.friendly cheerful staff. I recommend the Ghurka chicken and lemon rice.

We visit the Amir 2/3 times a year and it never lets it down - New fresher decor supplements the continued excellent food and friendly service. We will continue to be regular visitors

Visited a few weeks ago for the Sunday buffet. Excellent food would highly recommend. So impressed we have booked this restaurant for our 40th Wedding Anniversary dinner with our family

Every now and a again we go somewhere else - but we always come back here! there is something really great about their sunday buffet - for starters the naans are fresh, puffy and light - not stuck in a warmer pot to go chewy! and the variety of dishes is great .... I know its tucked away in a corner but its still the best jewel in Binfield!

Regularly get a take away from the Amir but the last few I've had have been really tasty and subtlety spiced. My wife has korma and that can be bland in some restaurants but they got a great taste.

First visit here and it was good which isn't an option but not very good though. As the title suggests you get good sized portions here although the chicken in my jalfreizi appeared to be lifted from a Tikka starter but it tasted nice along with the Bombay aloo. It's quite a small restaurant and although a sunny evening they seemed to have the aircon on full blast which made it quite chilly.Other un tried options in area so will try elsewhere before returning.

Have eaten here many times and it always is really good. Naan breads are large and tasty - freshly made. Generous portions and ultra friendly service. Tariq, the restaurant manager is a great host. Highly recommended and far better that the other restaurant in Binfield, The Darruchini

I was taken to the Amir by friends who live nearby. It is their local curry house, and they were recognised and welcomed by the owner.The restaurant has free parking outside and is cosy and welcoming. It is quite small.The food was of good quality, and the dishes were freshly perpared - I know this because two of my party have nut allergies and therefore we had to ensure that the dishes were prepared without any nut. Between 5 of us we had some poppadums, 3 mains and a starter served as a main, 2 sides, 2 rice and 1 nan. Portions were quite generous and this was more than enough for us - so don't over-order when you visit. Service ws very efficient.My Jalfrezi was pretty good - a bit fiery (the green chillis seemed to be a bit stronger than average) but tasty with plenty of lamb. The Tarka Dhal and Chana Massala sides were also good, as was the nan. I didn't sample the other dishes so cannot comment.With drinks, the bill came to £77 - so not expensive for 5 people - 3 adults and 2 children with adult appetites.I was less impressed with the coffee - very milky using steamed milk. Not really a criticism - great if you like milky coffee but I don't.

Ordered a take away tonight, delivery was very fast and the food was delicious! Me and my family loved it!

Recently visited Amir's as we were new to the area and thought we would give them a try. I was quite let down as when my food arrived it was more sauce then any meet and had a layer of grease on top. I have tried darruchini which is across the road and it is 100 times better. Definitely would not eat at amirs again.

Reasonable prices and very good quality food. Service was friendly and attentive. I don't know how "cuisine=Afghani" got into the Trip Advisor description as this is a classic Indian restaurant.The butter chicken was delicious.
