Lovely breakfast. The restaurant is attached to a Premier Inn. The cereals, fruit, bread, croissants etc are all laid out on a buffet for you to help yourself. Someone comes to take your order for a cooked breakfast which is lovely - you have as much (or as little) as you want - and it's freshly cooked to order. Reasonable price and a fabulous breakfast - couldn't be better!

Very efficient service from Cora

Have no idea what the food is like!!! We walked in to be greeted by a young bartender that we found a bit rude so we turned on our heels and noticed on the way out that it was smelly and had dirty glasses all over the tables!!! Maybe I've short changed this place but with plenty of other eateries in the area you would have thought they would at least been inviting.

Food was 8/10 , service was excellent young man Sam was holding it down and we found out we were mutuals too lol , good stuff👍🏽

The food was good But the service was terrible We had 2 very small starters and 4 mains and drinks We then ordered desserts after a long wait we questioned the delay they apologised and said they were coming, about 20 minutes later I cancelled the deserts and ask for the bill their excuse was they are very busy. I pointed out that 3 other tables that came in after us had all finished their 3 courses. Our 2 course meal took 2 hours 10 minutes Never again

Although the team was short of staff, Jake our server was friendly and understanding of the fact that our group had some dietary changes. We were a large group but nothing was a problem. The chefs Craig and Ollie were open to cooking food according to our groups needs. Thanks Jake again for making us feel welcome.

Went in for a birthday meal , manageress seemed ok , food was ordered , one meal wrong another almost cold , side order wasn’t put through so we had to wait , eventually turned up after ten mins , had to ask to reheat the plate , seems uncaring and not bothered what we had to say , won’t be back until staff reshuffled again , looking at other reviews I’m not surprised

The decor was lovely and a great atmosphere. The roast dinner was very poor. Hard and dry Yorkshire pudding, trouble cutting with the normal cutlery and needed the steak knife. The vegetables were from frozen and the meat was probably frozen. Came out very quickly. Not great quality and very disappointing. Would not want to eat it again.

We went to this Beefeater for Sunday lunch - big mistake!! Two starters: breaded mushrooms and calamari. Both the starter portions were microscopic in size; the mushrooms were stale and coated in rock hard breadcrumbs, the calamari was greasy, dripping with oil. We had two roasts: the standard turkey and the 'ultimate' roast of turkey, beef and gammon. Appalling. Turkey was bland and made from reformed meat, the beef was as hard as the sole of my shoe, the gammon was passable but still on the hard side. Vegetables were microwaved and tasteless. This is without a doubt the WORST Sunday lunch I have ever had in my life! I am 58. The service was also poor and inattentive. This place should be closed down and the staff dismissed.

The food was very good. Unfortunately the service was not! The young waitress was very polite and pleasant and understood the allergy involved. The drinks and main course were served in good time. But that is where the service collapsed! The young waitress was left to do all the serving while the manager, named Dick, as we were informed just wondered aimlessly around. We approached him for a desert menu and complained how long we were left to wait. Absolutely no interest or concern and no apology. It basically spoilt the evening. We have been to the restaurant before and had no issues.

Service abysmal. Barman seemed more interested in talking to his friends. Tables were dirty and full of glasses. Food was terrible the batter on my fish was like rubber. The table service was a joke. The bar was left unattended for long periods of time. Never again.

Considering how quiet it was service was slow, not many staff on, food was really good. Gents toilet had no paper, our partners said ladies was a dirty mess, so they queued to use the disabled toilet. Shame as we eat out alot.

The food was okay but I think because my Dad showed a 25% off voucher at the start our meals seem to decrease in size. My smothered chicken was definitely not smothered and my partner thought he’d ordered from the children’s menu. The atmosphere is difficult to mark as to be fair it was Easter Sunday so very quiet.

Visited with Yateley Offsure Sailing Club. We had to preorder our meal and a drink for our Monday night bash. The food came out in table order with a drink. It was difficult to get a 2nd drink or any extra condiments when wanted.

Had an amazing meal at the restaurant, made even better by the brilliant service from Jake. He was friendly, attentive, and clearly knew the menu wel. The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and served at just the right pace. Jake struck the perfect balance between being professional and personable, making us feel genuinely looked after throughout. A top-notch experience all round

Restaurant was 10% full and at 6 pm they said they weren't taking walk-ins until 7.30 pm Dreadful, never going back after eating here regularly in the past.

Most recently visited for breakfast with a group of friends. We requested a specific table, which we were given without question. Despite being a big group, the service was very good, and the breakfast came out quickly and hot. Dietary requirements were considered and allergens were explained. Despite the restaurant being busy, the tables were clean, and servers attentive. Have also had similar experiences when eating in the evening, and would come again.

Visit Rackstraws alot, always great service, really friendly Staff, and great food too. Convenient parking too which is always amazing!

We used to eat at least 4 times a year here get-together with friends, but last time tables floors dirty service terrible it was freezing we all had coats on food was ok at least hot when there are many more places to eat now days they need to up there game

We visited Rackstraws Farm Beefeater and were absolutely delighted! The food was delicious, perfectly cooked, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. However, what truly made our visit special was the outstanding service. A special thank you to Magda, who was incredibly polite, friendly, and attentive. Her professionalism and care for guests made us feel truly valued. She made our experience even more enjoyable! We highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be coming back!

Popped in when passing through the area. Excellent service by Georgina and refreshing to actually have quality food and service instead of a QR code to scan like many other eateries have adopted. Keep up the good old fashioned customer service please.

As always really enjoyed my evening. Attentive friendly staff even though it was busy and really good food , lots of veggie options which you don’t find often. Good you can get refill soft drinks too . Good value for money

Our server was lovely so no fault to him but service itself was slow and we had to prompt for things. I didn’t get opportunity to ask for sauce with my starter and didn’t want it to go cold. Our burgers were sat for 5 minutes whilst they plated the other food. Prices are a bit more than I’d expect to pay for average food but we had a voucher so didn’t matter too much.

Came in with my family 13th, the staff were very friendly and helpful, my daughter has a allergy and the way she was treated was 10/10, definitely coming again

Booked breakfast for 10:15, when we arrived we were told breakfast finished at 10:30 which of course doesn't give you enough time to order and eat let alone have more as this was an unlimited breakfast you paid for. If we had known this when booking, of course we'd have booked an earlier time slot. However, our server Ben couldn't have been more understanding and helpful, made sure he took our order quickly and even asked that the kitchen would stay open a little longer and allowed the kids to take some pastries with them.

Truly awful experience. Staff don’t listen or care. Long delays. Food dull and lukewarm.

Staying for 5 nights and Company booked a meal deal. Big mistake !!. Staff totally ambivalent. Every time be it breakfast or evening meal there were issues. On 3 nights a colleague asked for no ice in her drink - even got that wrong x3. Food is mediocre. Would I eat here again, definitely not for evening meal. Staff attitude not the best.

On a positive note, the staff were amazing and couldn't have been any more welcoming. The food though was a little poor. My chicken was dry and ribs had no real taste, other than the BBQ sauce. Chips were nice. We had a 40% off voucher which made the overall experience a nice evening and although the food was edible, without the voucher I would have sent it back. I will go again, but not for a while. Other, lower cost chains are much better value for money, but then you would miss out on the staff.

We couldn't be bothered to cook,so here we went.Havent be here for a long time,prob 3 years.Its nothing 5 star so don't expect it to be.As it was late afternoon only a small group of ladies were inside.Service was top notch even though the place had started to fill up.I had the mixed grill and it was good.Overall,it was a change from kfc/maccy/fish and chips.

First of all they got our childs meal wrong, then I asked for a medium rare steak and it was well done so was sent back then when the meal came back it was awful, veg freezing, tomato was black and steak was just awful couldn't eat my meal. That was some Really good service yesterday, you welcomed us in with a smile and good manners. Gave us good compliments about me and my brother and further more, you made our boxing day the best one.... EVER!!! 😁 Definitely worth coming in again!!

Six of us booked for 4.30, 3 of us arrived at 4 so got a drink in the bar & another friend arrived and went in and waited at the table. She wasn’t asked if wanted a drink. We joined her once knew she wasn’t asked in there. Eventually we got served and then waited 40 minutes for our mains 3 of which were turkey & nearly cold, 2 of us sent them back tobe microwaved. We still weren’t asked if we wanted drinks. The restaurant wasn’t busy and staff were standing around chatting. We ordered 5 desserts 3 were Christmas pudding we waited and watched them sat on the hatch for 25 minutes then put in the microwave. We asked to see a manager a young man came over very uncertain how to deal with our complaint of our food and lack of drinks He went off to talk to another manager who came over and then walked off rolling his eyes at us without a sorry. Our bill was brought over by a general manager claiming she was sorry but it was wrong as was for 12 people then a waitress brought it back with a £7 discount for our inconvenience. The food the service and attitude was ridiculous We won’t be going back.

We booked a table here in December, uopn arrival we were greeted but had to waut at least 20 minutes before anyone came to take our order. We not offered any drinks and had to call somone over to order them. The staff were not froiendly at all, the food took 40 minutes to arrive and the roast dinners were cold. We called over someone who siad he was the manager , he offered to warm the dinners up in a microwave, no mention of a replacement. he dod offer a disovunt off the cost of the meal As this was the only option we accepted, We then ordered ot sweets which took 25 minutes to come ( the restaurant wasn't even full). We complained again at which point another member of staff came over, looked at us and rolled his eyes. When it cam to the bill we were presented with a bill for £300 which was clearly someone's elses ( there were 6 of us) At this point the general manager came over and them preceded to tak e15 minutes to sort out the bill. For a bill of £120 we offered a discount of £7....which was frankly derisory. At no ponit was any apology offered and the staff were very sullen. We have eaten here several times in the past and not had an issue but this experience means we shall not be returing.

What an absolute nightmare from start to finish. Took us half an hr before we were even acknowledged by staff. The food when eventually arrived after another 40 mins was lukewarm and had to be then heated up.Sevice was dreadful. Then another 35 mins for desserts to arrive . Restaurant has really gone down hill along with the staff.

Extremely disappointing. Everything form the prices, the portion sizes, the quality and the service was not up to my expectations. Many menu choices were not even available. The bacon burger and festive stack bore absolutely no resemblance to the menu pictures, they were much smaller, and the bacon burger didn't even contain cheese, as indicated on the menu. The burgers were dry and tasteless, the portions of chips child size, and they had the cheek to charge 99p extra for barbecue sauce. The starters were also small. The service was also poor. None of the glasses from the refills were cleared, nor was the rubbish from the Christmas crackers. We also had to ask for more drinks and the desert menu, while at lest 3 members of staff were just stood chatting to what seemed more like a friend than a customer. I would save your money and go to McDonalds instead, nicer burgers, better value, faster service.

Breakfast!! Forlorn comes to mind ,very disappointing got nearly all the orders wrong ,a very sad breakfast indeed one of the worst I’ve had

We’ve eaten here many times in the past but today was probably our last visit. We had booked a table for lunch. It was 40 mins before they took our order. They seemed really short staffed. It was another 30 mins before they took our food arrived. Mine was lukewarm. Another meal (fish and chips) was the smallest piece of fish , about 10 long. It was really hard to get the attention of the staff. There was another long delay before they cleared our plates. The bill was wrong. We were I. The restaurant for 3 hours altogether. No apologies from the staff of slow service.

My portion size was miserable (certainly avoid the smothered chicken unless you fancy a wing sized piece of meat!). Staff totally uninterested in their jobs, waited ages for any service, ended up going to the bar to pay the bill. Restaurant wasnt even half full, pretty dismal all round sadly.

Ordered food for the kids and myself. Main menu burger is exactly the same as the kids menu one with the only difference that the bun is bigger. Came with no crispy onion, apparently they forgot to say they run out of it. Ordered sides for the kids that never came to the table but they tried charging me for it. Waitress couldn't care less when enquired about it. They have a huge list of things not available, basically the menu was halved Quite slow serving drinks a food

Came for a meal with friends. And we had a really great time. It was so busy, and the staff were amazing! It must have been so stressful but a smile was always on our waitresses face her name was Donna. The manager Emma was also very helpful and asked if we were happy etc. Which we were. We felt very well looked after. Meals were all fab.

What a lovely meal I had with my family, it was so relaxed and the atmosphere was very chilled, again we had the pleasure of Donna our waitress for the duration she couldn’t do enough for us she was very polite and attentive. Can see why this brand is slowly going under, service is slow and food is awful ordered surf and turf for an extra £8 for 2 hard prawns and some ratty calamari would not go back

The restaurant was very busy but despite that the service was very quick. Our waitress was Donna. She was so polite and cheerful and made our meal a delightful experience. Donna is a credit to Rackstraws and embodies the traditions of politeness, efficiency attention to detail. We will certainly return to Rackstraws again.

Enjoyed a lovely lunch today My hubby had a burger cooked how he liked it very hot chips I had sirloin steak very tender & med rare as I asked Fries were really nice & lovely & hot Friendly waitress & the restaurant was clean & tidy Emma the manageress greeted us & showed us to our table she’s always lovely It’s local to us so always pleased we enjoy it especially with a 40% of voucher which is always very welcome

This is a nice Beefeater restaurant. Which sits almost at the midway point between Southampton and West London. So for us and many others, it's been & remains a great place to meet friends and family for a great meal and a few hours of catch-up chat 😉 Oh yes, the service is good, the food is usually good as is the atmosphere. Plus, it sits right next door to a Premier Inn.

Staff pleasant as usual. Chef Fin cooked the best chicken I ever had, served with a smile by Jake. Thank you once again, I will be back :)

No complaints overall, nice evening out

Had a good meal from here, and the waitress was very lovely, never felt in a rush and she was generally interested to talk to us. Just wish they could be more accommodating with customer requests when it comes to the food. I wanted to have the Vegetable skewers but without any mushroom as I don't like them but was informed these were already made up and couldnt be changed, I just wonder what if I had an allergy. They also didn't have any sour cream for the potato skins but I mean not the end of the world. Overall was a nice and relaxed evening.

Came here for lunch. Great location and inside are good. Young lad behind the bar couldn't fault him. He was always there to help out. I'm not sure if it's policy, but we had to grab our own knife and forks. The food was lovely. Bacon Burger was lovely. Mrs. liked her salmon and potatoes. Will come again.

Abysmal. Poor service, not overly friendly, food mediocre, drinks full of ice so half full, & despite not bring busy, the staff there were took ages between ordering, & receiving it. Note also that their so-called customer care team don't care at all, with a blunt, & very disinterested & ultimately unsatisfactory eventual reply. Then after that just ignored!!

The bar man was extremely polite. He caught and let a butterfly free big fan! Beer was ok had a Stella and it was just a standard pint No dogs unless outside.

Came in for a celebratiory meal of ribs and a pint with my partner this evening. We were served by Georgia, who was amazing, she was attentive, friendly and prompt. 10/10 service Despite being quite busy, food was quick and delicious making for a perfect spontaneous meal out. Thank you very much, we can't wait to come back! :)

The decor is quite boring, grey and dull with no atmosphere, we ordered for three people & 2 of them were very disappointing with calamari and steak the worst.

A major disappointment, the food was terrible, I ordered the Sunday Roast, oh how wish I didn't! It was warm, dried out with tinned vegetables! Fortunately the portions were fairly small! I will never visit this place again, especially when I compare it with The Brewers Fayre Monkey Puzzle (Farnborough) I dined at yesterday which was much superior. The server asked if everything was okay when the food was almost finished and they were not busy.
