Blue's Smokehouse in Bracknell Forest

Ordered the challenge, but for two to share and the amount of food was fantastic! No hope of finishing it in one sitting! 3 could have shared! Volume aside, food was incredibly tasty, served quick and I'd come again in a heart beat. Great value for money.

Awful place. I walked in behind a group of people waiting to be seated. They waited around 10 mins to even be recognised and seen to. The place was dead with three front of house. I waited for 12 mins just to ask if anyone was behind the bar. There were no bar staff. When I questioned if anyone was working behind the bar, the staff member wasn’t even interested. I walked out after around 14 mins of waiting. There are other better places with better service in Bracknell. I do not recommend.

Food was really tasty and portion size was decent. The service I received was satisfactory, our server was very friendly and attentive. Prices aren't the best, I was charged £44 for a small round of drinks but I guess this is to be expected nowadays. If you're a meat eater then I would highly recommend visiting this restaurant!

Overpriced, cold food and the toughest ribs I’ve ever had. Weird side dishes on the platter which we didn’t eat. Waitresses nice enough but decor tired. Ripped and taped together booth seats, smelt damp. Such a shame as we had been recommended to go there.

An excellent service(Alina), good food, reasonably priced

Nice environment, we visited when less than a quarter of the restaurant was filled, yet we had to ask after ten minutes to be served. Starters was excellent really hot (temp) and flavorful, awesome mix, great value and some of the best chicken I have tasted...the mains however, 'ultimate brisket' was underwhelming, dry, not succulent and generous as you might expect and there was not much of it, the equivalent to six rashers of bacon and same thickness. The sharing platter was half good and half not, chicken was dry, the rest was as expected, but not outstanding, pub food at best, but a platter for 50 quid should be a lot better (didn't look like the photo here), not good value by any stretch. Beer 7.50 a pint. My tip, go to a Weatherspoons and take a bottle of BBQ sauce with you, save 75%.

Best barbecue I’ve had in the UK and the house sauces are absolutely banging. This place is top of my list when visiting Bracknell

Went here on a date with my boyfriend, the waitress was lovely and welcoming, the food and drinks were brilliant, it's my new favourite place to come out for a meal in Bracknell.

Overall very dissapointed. The service was lacking, the table was sticky some of the staff were lovely but management was rude when we confronted on how disappointed we were with the food. It's not how we imagined in it was dry and some bits of the chicken were still pink. In my opinion the food was not fresh. The brisket was tough and fatty chicken very dry! Only good points the belly pork was nice and the popcorn the rest was an utterly disappointment will not be going back

• The table was sticky (the wood needs to be treated). • The brisket was more like jerky - thin and fairly tough. It had a nice beef flavour, but really wasn't tender. • The coleslaw was basically raw slaw (not necessarily a bad thing - but it should say that on the menu). It was very bland. • The corn/green bean medley was also bland. • The music was too quiet... I wouldn't want it blaring out, but a little louder would create a better atmosphere. • The fries and sauces were very nice. • Can't knock the service, everyone was friendly and attentive enough. I could have excused some of this if the price had been cheaper, but at £22 for the brisket it really should have been better.

Excellent food even better service parking is a problem but worth it

Food okay, one waiter didn’t know answers to questions about the food, the other was very professional. Nice local beers on the menu, tater tots were delicious. Menu was the worst part, spelling mistakes and 7 different fonts on one page.

Dreadful - food was awful - we had a burger and it was cremated, struggled to cut in half, coleslaw completely dry and chips over cooked - when asked we fed this back and we’re told their chef wasn’t in and there was no communication in the kitchen - paid half the bill but only ate half the food anyway, table was sticky too 🙁🙁

My family took me here for a belated birthday meal. Food was yummy, cooked well and plentiful. There where lots of great drink options acholoc and non alcoholic. (they nailed the old fashioned) Service was great, attentive, funny and polite. Great team, your all assets to the company Thankyou for giving us a great evening all a blue house. You meet your motto 110% - we came in hungry, we left happy!

Rather disappointing meal. Had the meat platter for 2 - food was cold and chicken was hard and dry. Just looked like it had been warmed in a microwave and slapped on the platter. Tables were sticky and cutlery was gross. Service however was fast

We had an excellent meal at Blues and will be back again to try more of the menu. I had the Soooo British burger which was huge and tasted amazing whilst my companion had the link sausages which they thoroughly enjoyed. The only "downside" was we were so full from our mains we couldn't try any of the deserts. The service from Tiffany was excellent as she was efficient without being over bearing.

Did exactly what it said on the tin. Will definitely be going again.

Tasty burgers in a 300 year old inn. Americana decor. We visit frequently and when i leave it aleays feels like the experience was rushed.

Shared two family platters between six of us. The food was delicious and the service from Jack was outstanding. The staff couldn’t do enough to help. Highly recommended 👍🏻

Update: this is no longer somewhere I'd recommend. In the last couple of years it has become more expensive, with smaller portions and the food is average at best. It has been dry, flavourless or fatty - such a shame when the food used to be incredible. I went back 3 times since the pandemic, each time thinking they were having a bad day, but clearly this is just the new standard. There are now numerous better options in town for a meal. Old review: Best restaurant in Bracknell at the moment! If you love meat or slow cooked American food you must go. Portions are large (but they let you take home a doggy bag) and staff are friendly. You can't make reservations but we have only waited half an hour at the busiest times - and it's worth the wait!

Lacking quality and definitely nothing "American smokehouse" about it. Rude staff to go along with it. A expensive mistake. Give it a pass!

Great service and lovely food. We felt very welcome and thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. Extensive menu and delicious cocktails. Waitress was excellent I noticed she was discreetly walking around close enough to make sure everyone could get her attention should they need anything but distant enough to ensure privacy- that’s a pretty good trick! Biggest breakfast by far!! Alina was very attentive and provided excellent service throughout. We had three pancake dishes and one french toast option, we didn’t manage to finish them as they were large portions but were also very good value for money! All our breakfasts were delicious 😋 we look forward to coming back again!

We stopped off at this lovely pub restaurant near Bracknell's new shopping centre and we were glad we did. First impressions count, American themed venue, clean tables, staff who were great and the food was fab. The food was not cheap but we did not want ordinary. Menu was full to the brim of smoked goodies. Garlic bread as it should be with a pizza cutter, massive burgers and hot dogs with a couple of lovely specialist beers. Not your average diner, this is a great venue for special occasions.

Brought a friend for his first time , and as always blues became a favourite. We ordered a pint of Lemonade and a “ surprise bourbon cocktail” whatever the bar supervisor made it was lovely and I had a second! Perfect for the summer in the back yard, I’m so sorry I didn’t catch her name! The starters came promptly and were much bigger than I remembered, excellent size portions. We had two Bourbon steaks and those DEFINITELY didn’t disappoint!!! Stuffed to the brim, couldn’t manage a dessert! The waiters gave us enough time between meals to make us feel not rushed and have a relaxed atmosphere and evening. Thanks you Blue’s team 💙

Underrated bbq restaurant the atmosphere is fantastic, the service is incredible always making sure if everything is alright. But the main attraction is the food the milkshakes have a smooth consistency which i prefer compared to thick milkshakes so that i don't get full quickly the matcha green tea milkshake was perfect. My family got the bone platter with chicken wings, ribs, onion rings and pickled onions a phenomenal starter slight complaint one of the 3 ribs was a bit overcooked but nothing that ruined the starter. The main course the platter for 1 with pulled pork, sausage, Texas toast, slaw, half a chicken with 3 whole chicken wings and brisket added for an extra £6. All the meat was flavourful and tender and the sauces to help compliment the food is always a pleasure I especially loved their Louisiana hot sauce. It was so good that I bought 3 of them after i finished my meal and for the £6 for the sauce that is a bargain. However the slaw was mid and the toast was not toast it was just regular white bread. Overall highly recommend this place and my compliments go out to the chef.

Came for lunch and was quickly sat down and Tiffany was on top of everything. Food came quick and delicious and the music fits the atmosphere.

The staff were the highlight of my visit. Had a really friendly greeting and professional service. Ordered the half rack of ribs plus slices of brisket. Oh dear. The ribs had been heated on a plancha, neither it nor the beef brisket had any smell of smoke and the whole thing was slathered in a sweet, cloying BBQ sauce. However the beef was tender, if underseasoned. Both proteins seemed roasted instead of smoked. The slaw was boring and under-seasoned, had no onion, no ‘zip’ nor acid to balance. The spicy, creamy corn thing was almost inedible. Weird, dry cheesy flavour and again under-seasoned. Fries were my favourite part. I politely pointed out my dissatisfaction to the manager who professionally proffered sympathy and offered to prepare something else for me. I chose a burger which was competant although pre-formed and generic. A thick slice of red onion and some onion jam saved the day. The business description is outdated. It was confirmed they no longer smoke in-house, buy everything in and heat it up. In the US, BBQ sauce is always served on the side and is seldom that sweet. There is a lovely patio, plenty of room and great decorations which made it feel like the real thing, but honestly there are so many corners cut it was a terrible disappointment even allowing for it being the UK. Except for the staff.

Second time visiting a smoke house, must say the staff were wholesome, and salt of the earth kinda people, loved them! All had a lovely aurora around them, kind, friendly and accommodating, what makes an establishment, food and drinks came quickly, big portions ( took some home) very tasty indeed, good atmosphere, highly recommend if you want a meaty feast, well done peeps!

UNREAL. Went for breakfast, had ‘The Brit’ and ‘John Wayne’, I cannot explain how much I’ve wanted food like this in our local area! Flavourful, rich, proper food. Blues have their own sauces too which was fun to try. We also got a refill coffee which was lovely, good quality coffee which isn’t always expected in restaurants! We will definitely be regulars and I’m so sad I’ve not eaten here sooner!

Our waitress was brilliant, she was so friendly and attentive. We received a warm welcome and thanks on the way out from our waitress and another member of staff too. The food was really nice and the watermelon mojito was delicious.

Popped here to meet friends for the football. Designated fan area in the garden with seating for 50-100. Had some food which was lovely! Staff and service were great! Recommend.

Cool interior but it’s too expensive for what it is. The food was mediocre, not worth the £46 bill. The chicken wings were decent but if you’re going to put hot wings on the menu, make sure they’re actually hot! My ribs were served with a sweetcorn salad thing which is a nice idea but it was cheap mushy sweetcorn. Everyone knows it’s green giant or nothing! The sauces on the table were in squeezy bottles which I think is slightly gross when most things on the menu are messy finger food. Apologies to the guests who will sit on our table in the future for my grubby hand prints all over the cherry bbq sauce. P.S. the coleslaw was completely dry (no mayo).. doesn’t that just make it a salad?

The staff were very polite and the food was amazing. Even though there was a problem with my order they were very apologetic and kind about it. it wasn’t a problem, mistakes happen. I believe our servers name was , she was so polite, lovely and was overall a great server. I would highly recommend blues smokehouse in Bracknell :) (also there was another girl who helped us and she was also incredible I don’t know her name tho!)

The food was good if you like burgers from America. I personally enjoyed the pork belly starter more, had so some much flavour and taste!

I've been to Blue's a few times for different mealtimes, and I'm mostly never disappointed. Recently went for brunch and the pancakes are so good! It's hard to find a place with good pancakes, so definitely recommend for the breakfast menu. Dinner has always been pretty good. The starters are always amazing and some of the best around, but I always find myself a little disappointed with mains, as certain meals have very dry meat, so I don't know if that's the quality or lack of experience from the chefs with the type of meat. Staff are always super friendly, and I like the decor and vibe in there too. So I'm definitely a repeat customer, but there are some main dinner meals I'd avoid.

Had a party of 5 adults but did ask to order 1 meal from the children's menu as don't eat a adult portion and didnt want to waste food but was refused, waitress was a little rude and offish from then on, the food was nice but nothing outstanding and have definitely had better elsewhere. Wouldn't go back.

Went for dinner early afternoon in a Sunday was quite excited for the bbq food. Started with milkshakes, wings and nachos which was pretty decent tbf. Burger was definitely frozen and not very nice really gristlely and actually only Luke warm didn’t complain and paid the whole bill but unfortunately won’t be going back.

This is an updated review, we initially went here and gave them 4 stars, however the last visit was terrible and consistency is key to a good restaurant! Spent £52 on a burger and a platter and I must say probably some of the worse food we have had! Meat was very dry and had a lot of gristle in the burger, no flavour and just bad. I did email the restaurant to let them know but didn't get a response! We won't be going here again unfortunately

We came here for a Saturday morning family breakfast. Great service, very welcoming, delicious food. Everything from berry pancakes to steak and eggs (the John Wayne) and of course the full English with tater tots. Good value, with generous portions. Handy parking nearby, without having to go into the Lexicon. Great American food in a pub with real history. Perfect place to get together.

Best BBQ we’ve found in England. We’ve been desperately trying to find a decent smokehouse in England after a holiday to America, and we finally have! The flavours are delicious, and each meat has a different flavour - some English places just cover all the cuts of meat in the same overly sweet sauce. The atmosphere was welcoming and the staff friendly, with service being quick too. I would go back in a heart beat!

Nice place, really friendly helpful staff and wonderful pancakes for breakfast. My American friend said they were as good as the ones back home. Will definitely be going back.

Ate here with friends on a Saturday lunchtime. Restaurant was quiet but that's not a problem. The food was decent, not top notch BBQ but better than a standard US style eatery, for sure. Service was excellent and very friendly. Would visit again.

Not been here for many years but thought we’d give it another try. We hadn’t booked but they very quickly found us a table. Our lovely waitress Deborah was very knowledgeable of the food and drinks menu. We chose a few of the things she recommended and were not disappointed. Food was good and the service was exceptional.

It was a random stop to Blue's smokehouse in Bracknell as we are not from the area, but all we all have to say is WOW. From the moment we stepped in greeted with smiles and nothing seemed to be too much of a problem. Our server Skye was out of this world, extremely helpful and knowledgeable with the menu, very attentive and approachable with any questions. This has got to be one of our best eat outs as a family for a long time. Big thank you to Skye and the team for making us feel so welcome, look forward to our return visit.

Wow,, this was a lucky find. Needed evening meal after spending the day in Lego Land which was on the way to our hotel & came across this little gem. Food, Service & Atmosphere is top notch. We even bought 3 bottles of their cherry bomb sauce, which is just lovely. Definitely recommend paying these guys a visit👌

Horrific experience. Raw chicken. The service was actually pretty good to be fair. The food was pretty decent too. That was until I cut open the chicken which was luckily the end of my meal and found it was raw. Cooked chicken will come easily off the bone, yet this was still clearly attached to the bone. The meat was pink, red and purple next to the bone as the photos show. I’m a reasonable person so I didn’t complain and simply pointed this out to the waitress. The manager then rudely told her to tell us that’s how it’s cooked and it’s due to the smoking process, and give us 20% off. I didn’t want money off and said that I’d happily pay for the meal as I wouldn’t expect a business to lose money for a silly mistake, the manager then said that there was clearly nothing wrong with the food and that I was trying my luck ! I was shocked to say the least and the coward didn’t even have the decency to speak to me himself and sent the poor waitress back. This isn’t the first bbq/smoked chicken I’ve ever eaten and the meat is clearly raw. A simple acknowledgment or apology was all that was needed. I paid the bill, left and certainly won’t ever be going back there.

Food was disgraceful. My partner ordered a brisket that was so tough and chewy he needed a steak knife to get through it. My veggie burger was served cold, curly fries were rock hard and the Mac & cheese + hushpuppies had absolutely no flavour. It’s a great place for a drink though hence not just giving 1 star. We’re just never getting food there again.

Service was great. Food was not that good. Had the brisket and it was a little tough and dry.

First time at blues and will probably be the last. Was ignored to be seated by multiple staff members despite making a booking and being asked to wait a moment and kept getting walked past. The server that took our order forgot the iPad to take it and disappeared to go and get it making us wait each time, she was friendly but didn’t seem to know what she was doing. However the real disappointment was the food. The food was abysmal, the brisket was hard, chewy and swimming in grease which meant the paper that was on the plate had separated and stuck all over the food, it also tasted awful. My partner had a burger which was dry, chewy and despite the several types of meat on it, there was no taste difference between them. The starters were average at best, but came out pretty much cold. We aren’t ones to complain, so basically ate hardly any of our mains paid £80 and left. In hindsight we should have got a refund, but at this point I just wanted to leave. Would have been better off going elsewhere, and wouldn’t recommend it at this point at all.

With more meat than a deli market, the delicious meat was only trumped by the charistimic personality of Tiff and Lee. Whom I can only described as prodigies in their field.

I'm not sure why anyone would put cinnamon on a smoked brisket. I'm not necessarily advocating for pure salt+pepper like they do in Texas, but cinnamon seems like a crime. The rest of the food is ok.

We originally booked TGI, but after reading the reviews and seeing the menu we thought we would try Blue's for my son's 12th birthday party. Are we ever glad we did! Value for money is exceptional for what you get. The service was fab.. lovely atmosphere. We had the family platter for 5, the blue's burger and the Frenchies burger..absolutely beautiful. 7 very full people staggered out the door. We will be back!

Pulled pork had a texture of tuna fish. The rib felt like they were reheated. The beef was dry. I did not eat the main course. Sent the food back and paid for drinks and left. The starter also had wilted, carrots and celery which was a concern considering it's supposed to be fresh food. My friend unfortunately had some random piece of plastic in his pint. He thought it could have been ice for a moment but it wasn't. Staff were very nice and understanding. Just a shame about the terrible food. I would personally avoid here and go anywhere else in Bracknell . There is a lot of choice . After leaving, went to GBK. Which was nice.

Average at best and if I’m being honest the ONLY thing that makes it a three star is the staff and the ambiance of the place. Our bill for four was £100 on Mother’s Day, the burger was below average with lots or extras in it, I had the platter and it wasn’t great temperature was warm at best not hot as expected and the chips were not particularly hot either. Kids food, well kids liked it but the roll was stale in my opinion, but they were happy. A lack of Cider on the menu as well or American style beer would be a great improvement. We had been a few times in the past and when they opened it was great, been a few times and it’s got worse over the years now it’s no better than TGI and I would say the Harvester provides better grill food.

Good service, good beers and good food. Portion sizes are large and the food as expected, was really quite decent. We left happy and feeling that we got decent value for money. The atmosphere was good, it’s very casual and quite busy. Dropping a star as the seats are uncomfortable and tables didn’t feel particularly clean (which may have been/hopefully was sticky disinfectant). Edit : Quality seems to have dropped since we last visited, the tables are still very sticky though! The service was great but the four different dishes and side we had was all bland and tasteless. The burger I ordered is what triggered this 2* food update especially : The cheapest, foulest burger patties imaginable. Hard, rubbery and tasteless - The bun and toppings failed to mask, it wasn’t just “ok” for a £18 burger, it was foul. Really disappointed and won’t be coming back.

Second time I’ve been to Blues in the past few weeks. Consistent great tasting food and friendly service. Best tasting smoked and BBQ’d meat. Excellent value as well. Will be back!!

Absolutley fabulous service and food. The manager was 5 star and couldn't be more helpful and welcoming. Amazing menu with lots of great extras (the best smoky bbq popcorn on your table on arrival) great desserts especially for kids with different flavour icecreams which you can try before you buy. Lovely shakes too. The decor and atmosphere was great too. Honestly give this place a try . Whether you're families, couples or friends you won't be disappointed.

Service and drinks were great. My food was lovely but my friends food wasn't 100%. We told them and they gave us money off the bill and apologised so we were happy.

We’ve come here a few times and always have a fantastic night. The food is tasty (the ribs and brisket are our go-to) and the staff are always friendly and accommodating. We only really come to Bracknell if we are going to the Cinema and they’ve never held us up or left us hanging. It’s efficient, friendly and tasty. Alina typically serves us and today she even remember that I got a new job. Not many places take the same care of their customers.

My partner and I had a really great meal. The menu has everything you’d want for a classic American food fix. Alina was amazing, so attentive, made great menu recommendations and was a real laugh. Really relaxed vibe, would definitely come back!

Last Sunday we made a terrible mistake, I’m decided to visit a restaurant with our family, from the very beginning everything looked wrong, the waitress was very unpleasant, rude, we waited almost 40 minutes for our food, what we got on the plate was a shock! the portions were very smal for the price!! The ribs were dry and rubbery! burger was very fat and even dripping with fat! chips are dry a looks horrible! we came from Basingstoke and this place ruined our entire Sunday!! I do not recommend this place!
