Blue's Smokehouse in Bracknell Forest

Best BBQ we’ve found in England. We’ve been desperately trying to find a decent smokehouse in England after a holiday to America, and we finally have! The flavours are delicious, and each meat has a different flavour - some English places just cover all the cuts of meat in the same overly sweet sauce. The atmosphere was welcoming and the staff friendly, with service being quick too. I would go back in a heart beat!

Nice place, really friendly helpful staff and wonderful pancakes for breakfast. My American friend said they were as good as the ones back home. Will definitely be going back.

Not been here for many years but thought we’d give it another try. We hadn’t booked but they very quickly found us a table. Our lovely waitress Deborah was very knowledgeable of the food and drinks menu. We chose a few of the things she recommended and were not disappointed. Food was good and the service was exceptional.

Ate here with friends on a Saturday lunchtime. Restaurant was quiet but that's not a problem. The food was decent, not top notch BBQ but better than a standard US style eatery, for sure. Service was excellent and very friendly. Would visit again.

Had a birthday meal with work friends everything was really lovely and end of evening got a lovley surprise i got my meal free as it was my 60th birthday. The staff were all great thankyou

It was a random stop to Blue's smokehouse in Bracknell as we are not from the area, but all we all have to say is WOW. From the moment we stepped in greeted with smiles and nothing seemed to be too much of a problem. Our server Skye was out of this world, extremely helpful and knowledgeable with the menu, very attentive and approachable with any questions. This has got to be one of our best eat outs as a family for a long time. Big thank you to Skye and the team for making us feel so welcome, look forward to our return visit.

Wow,, this was a lucky find. Needed evening meal after spending the day in Lego Land which was on the way to our hotel & came across this little gem. Food, Service & Atmosphere is top notch. We even bought 3 bottles of their cherry bomb sauce, which is just lovely. Definitely recommend paying these guys a visit👌

Horrific experience. Raw chicken. The service was actually pretty good to be fair. The food was pretty decent too. That was until I cut open the chicken which was luckily the end of my meal and found it was raw. Cooked chicken will come easily off the bone, yet this was still clearly attached to the bone. The meat was pink, red and purple next to the bone as the photos show. I’m a reasonable person so I didn’t complain and simply pointed this out to the waitress. The manager then rudely told her to tell us that’s how it’s cooked and it’s due to the smoking process, and give us 20% off. I didn’t want money off and said that I’d happily pay for the meal as I wouldn’t expect a business to lose money for a silly mistake, the manager then said that there was clearly nothing wrong with the food and that I was trying my luck ! I was shocked to say the least and the coward didn’t even have the decency to speak to me himself and sent the poor waitress back. This isn’t the first bbq/smoked chicken I’ve ever eaten and the meat is clearly raw. A simple acknowledgment or apology was all that was needed. I paid the bill, left and certainly won’t ever be going back there.

Food was disgraceful. My partner ordered a brisket that was so tough and chewy he needed a steak knife to get through it. My veggie burger was served cold, curly fries were rock hard and the Mac & cheese + hushpuppies had absolutely no flavour. It’s a great place for a drink though hence not just giving 1 star. We’re just never getting food there again.

Service was great. Food was not that good. Had the brisket and it was a little tough and dry.

First time at blues and will probably be the last. Was ignored to be seated by multiple staff members despite making a booking and being asked to wait a moment and kept getting walked past. The server that took our order forgot the iPad to take it and disappeared to go and get it making us wait each time, she was friendly but didn’t seem to know what she was doing. However the real disappointment was the food. The food was abysmal, the brisket was hard, chewy and swimming in grease which meant the paper that was on the plate had separated and stuck all over the food, it also tasted awful. My partner had a burger which was dry, chewy and despite the several types of meat on it, there was no taste difference between them. The starters were average at best, but came out pretty much cold. We aren’t ones to complain, so basically ate hardly any of our mains paid £80 and left. In hindsight we should have got a refund, but at this point I just wanted to leave. Would have been better off going elsewhere, and wouldn’t recommend it at this point at all.

With more meat than a deli market, the delicious meat was only trumped by the charistimic personality of Tiff and Lee. Whom I can only described as prodigies in their field.

I'm not sure why anyone would put cinnamon on a smoked brisket. I'm not necessarily advocating for pure salt+pepper like they do in Texas, but cinnamon seems like a crime. The rest of the food is ok.

We originally booked TGI, but after reading the reviews and seeing the menu we thought we would try Blue's for my son's 12th birthday party. Are we ever glad we did! Value for money is exceptional for what you get. The service was fab.. lovely atmosphere. We had the family platter for 5, the blue's burger and the Frenchies burger..absolutely beautiful. 7 very full people staggered out the door. We will be back!

Pulled pork had a texture of tuna fish. The rib felt like they were reheated. The beef was dry. I did not eat the main course. Sent the food back and paid for drinks and left. The starter also had wilted, carrots and celery which was a concern considering it's supposed to be fresh food. My friend unfortunately had some random piece of plastic in his pint. He thought it could have been ice for a moment but it wasn't. Staff were very nice and understanding. Just a shame about the terrible food. I would personally avoid here and go anywhere else in Bracknell . There is a lot of choice . After leaving, went to GBK. Which was nice.

Average at best and if I’m being honest the ONLY thing that makes it a three star is the staff and the ambiance of the place. Our bill for four was £100 on Mother’s Day, the burger was below average with lots or extras in it, I had the platter and it wasn’t great temperature was warm at best not hot as expected and the chips were not particularly hot either. Kids food, well kids liked it but the roll was stale in my opinion, but they were happy. A lack of Cider on the menu as well or American style beer would be a great improvement. We had been a few times in the past and when they opened it was great, been a few times and it’s got worse over the years now it’s no better than TGI and I would say the Harvester provides better grill food.

Good service, good beers and good food. Portion sizes are large and the food as expected, was really quite decent. We left happy and feeling that we got decent value for money. The atmosphere was good, it’s very casual and quite busy. Dropping a star as the seats are uncomfortable and tables didn’t feel particularly clean (which may have been/hopefully was sticky disinfectant). Edit : Quality seems to have dropped since we last visited, the tables are still very sticky though! The service was great but the four different dishes and side we had was all bland and tasteless. The burger I ordered is what triggered this 2* food update especially : The cheapest, foulest burger patties imaginable. Hard, rubbery and tasteless - The bun and toppings failed to mask, it wasn’t just “ok” for a £18 burger, it was foul. Really disappointed and won’t be coming back.

Second time I’ve been to Blues in the past few weeks. Consistent great tasting food and friendly service. Best tasting smoked and BBQ’d meat. Excellent value as well. Will be back!!

Absolutley fabulous service and food. The manager was 5 star and couldn't be more helpful and welcoming. Amazing menu with lots of great extras (the best smoky bbq popcorn on your table on arrival) great desserts especially for kids with different flavour icecreams which you can try before you buy. Lovely shakes too. The decor and atmosphere was great too. Honestly give this place a try . Whether you're families, couples or friends you won't be disappointed.

Honestly amazing, the food is exceptional the best smoke house I've ever been to. The service is amazing too with amazing service both timings and quality and politeness. Couldn't recommend more.

Service and drinks were great. My food was lovely but my friends food wasn't 100%. We told them and they gave us money off the bill and apologised so we were happy.

Last Sunday we made a terrible mistake, I’m decided to visit a restaurant with our family, from the very beginning everything looked wrong, the waitress was very unpleasant, rude, we waited almost 40 minutes for our food, what we got on the plate was a shock! the portions were very smal for the price!! The ribs were dry and rubbery! burger was very fat and even dripping with fat! chips are dry a looks horrible! we came from Basingstoke and this place ruined our entire Sunday!! I do not recommend this place!

My partner and I had a really great meal. The menu has everything you’d want for a classic American food fix. Alina was amazing, so attentive, made great menu recommendations and was a real laugh. Really relaxed vibe, would definitely come back!

We’ve come here a few times and always have a fantastic night. The food is tasty (the ribs and brisket are our go-to) and the staff are always friendly and accommodating. We only really come to Bracknell if we are going to the Cinema and they’ve never held us up or left us hanging. It’s efficient, friendly and tasty. Alina typically serves us and today she even remember that I got a new job. Not many places take the same care of their customers.

Alina is an absolute star. Don’t get me wrong the food is amazing but Alina is the reason we come again and again. The service here is truly outstanding!

Really excellent service from the friendly and cheerful staff. A lovely welcome. We got the mixed main for one, however, the meat was quite dry and lukewarm. The sausage and wings were warm, but the other meat wasn't great. Maybe they had a bad day, but otherwise if you're looking for a casual meat based restaurant, it's not too bad

We’ve always been impressed with Blues, the portions are brilliant and the staff are just so lovely and welcoming. Today we tried the breakfast, it’s taken way too long. We were not disappointed, absolutely delicious with brilliant portion sizes especially given the price! We sat at a booth which was great with the 2 young kids, food came quickly and the service was perfectly timed, we never felt rushed or forgotten. Blues will remain firmly as our favourite eat out restaurant, best place in Bracknell!

Was the best night out I’ve ever had! Staff were lovely, especially Alina (if that’s correctly spelled) everyone’s extremely welcoming and has a large variety on the menu, as well as at least 8 cocktails to choose from. Lovely place for family, friends or even events. Food was delicious and came extremely quickly. Couldn’t have asked for a better night x

Great atmosphere and decor in the place,we got seated really quickly even though it was busy. Our waitress was lovely and super helpful. Food was really good although my potion size was a little bit of a let down as I only had a few slices of brisket and for £22 a little bit overpriced. Other than that I would recommend for great great food and a great atmosphere with friendly helpful staff.

Our food was fantastic and although my friend didn’t quite manage the challenge of eating all he could within 30 minutes, we certainly enjoyed watching him try. The lady who served us with short curly hair (Alina - I think) was fabulous. Super helpful and clearly enjoys her job. She couldn’t praise her team enough and it was smiles and laughs all round! Thank you for making our visit extra special!

Absolutely amazing Service, Food and Cocktails.....!!! Besides being a little pricey (£105 for 2) - we can't fault the incredibly friendly service and staff, the unbelievable food, and the Christmas cocktails we tried also went down a treat. Highly recommended👌👌 10/10

Not particularly good and overpriced. Loaded nachos for 11.50, half were broken and now I look back at the menu had no chilli or cheese pot! Prawn salad for 7.50 had just 4 prawns! Smokey platter for 24.50 pulled pork was wet and flavourless, not sure it had a king rib but had what I’m guessing was pork belly as was 80% fat. Had to order fries for an extra £4, staff did warn they were very small and they were! Wings were nice, albeit very tiny, 1/4 chicken was average. Link sausage was delicious which is the only thing lifting this to a 2 star rating. Beer at 7.50 for 440ml whilst very tasty is overpriced. Will not be returning as there are much better places to eat in Bracknell.

Absolutely love this place! Visited again this evening with the children and was served by a new waitress Alina. She was superb and went out of her way to ensure that we were all happy with our meals and had everything we needed (including a massive tub of crayons!) Will obviously be back again soon!

First time going here. Took partner here for his birthday for lunch. Food was amazing - the guy serving was super friendly and nice. Cocktails where some of the best we've had. Would definitely recommend

When you say 'American Restaurant', I'm often thinking of a burger restaurant. Blue's is more than that. They have amazing breakfast dishes and some very typical American sides like Tater Tots and cornbread amongst others. The service is better than most restaurants which makes the visit that much more enjoyable. The interior is a mix of metals and woods with some very American decorations here and there. I would definitely recommend several visits here, so you can explore all they have to offer.

I’ve often wondered how this place was after living quite close to it. After 4 years I took a chance and went today for my friend’s 40th birthday for breakfast/brunch . The place did not disappoint! They catered for my individual needs as I do not eat pork and so changed the dish to suit my needs. The cocktails were amazing as was the food and service. We were also given a discount as it was a celebration. My plate of food almost defeated me and I can eat! You have gained a new customer! By far my favourite place to now eat in the town centre! Thanks again. Ps the new staff member was great

Should of know when it was nearly empty on a Saturday lunch time. Worst food I've had in a while. But the staff were really helpful.

I work for an organisation that help adults with additional needs. I had reserved a table (very easy to do) and explained in notes if it was at all possible to do separate receipts for the group as we are teaching them all about life skills ordering for themselves and paying etc. My group was abit apprehensive as most places we visit they rush them and we end up leaving early because it’s too overwhelming. So we thought let’s try it out. When we arrived I gave the name and we were introduced by a lovely waitress called Molly, she asked how our day was and then showed us to our table. It was incredible they made our very own space at the back in a hutch right next to the toilet, this is extremely beneficial for our group as they tend to go quite often. Not only that she said I will let you settle and walked off giving us time to process and sit down. This really helped as there was pressure to organise where to sit quickly and order the first thing they see. A lovely gentleman entered and introduced himself, his name was JeanMark and he said he was the manager, he asked if everything was ok and explained how we can have the music turned down or up and we had a heater if it was cold. He said take your time and we hope you enjoy yourselves. That was such a wonderful touch because he took a vested interest in us and knew all the things that we would possible need. Overall the food was delicious the services is by far the best I have ever received. Molly spoke to each of them in our group and the girls felt really comfortable ordering, we got the receipts and Molly made this such a calm experience which encouraged our girls to want to go out again. I am so thankful to the team at Blues Smoke House they completely changed lives last night by just taking their time and knowing the little things we needed. We wish everywhere we went out to eat with the group could be this accommodating. We can no wait to attend again! Stopped off on the off-chance after a day out near by and was very impressed. There was 6 adults and 3 children and it was no bother getting us in. Staff were very friendly and attentive and food was absolutely delicious & huge. Will definitely recommend to friends and visit again.

Hadn’t visited for years and on return it did not disappoint! Whole family chose vegan/ veggie options and the food was amazing - highly recommend the Moving Mountain burger 😋 Lee was our waiter - exceptional service and all round super friendly guy. If you’re visiting the Lexicon Bracknell it’s only a stones throw away - go eat there! :)

My nephew and I ate here at lunch and our server was just brilliant. The food was tasty and big portions. We left with full tummies! Definitely coming back!

I had been meaning to try this restaurant for ages and tonight was the night with it being our 16th wedding anniversary and having run out of ideas and having tried just about every other eatery in Bracknell. It sits there in the middle of the refurbished Bracknell like the house in Up. Read a few of the recent reviews and nearly had a change of heart but decided to press ahead and was glad we did! Had a fantastic meal starting with giant onion rings and followed by burgers (chicken for me, beef for my husband). Fantastic cocktails and beers, lovely friendly staff and a very nice atmosphere. Having been out for a few meals recently which felt extremely overpriced and poor value, this stood out as being excellent value for money. I would give 4.5 stars if I could as the only complaint is my husband would have preferred one thicker burger rather than 2 thinner patties, but he is a person who eats a burger with a knife and fork so.... My chicken burger was excellent, in fact after the onion rings (share these if you know whats good for you) I could hardly finish it. I shall definitely return here and am thinking it would be a good place for my son to go with his friends for his birthday.

I asked for Jeagerbombs and the bar tender lied and said they ran out of Jaeger to escape serving us drinks when I could clearly see a full bottle of Jaeger in the fridge and another bar man came with a full bottle to which she replied “Thanks” in the most annoyed way possible. Very rude and disappointing.

Fab service by our table host Lee, was a lovely man who made us feel very welcome. Food was cooked and brought out at different times but Lee made up for this with impeccible service. Top man

What could have been a disaster of a night for our team meal out was saved by the excellent customer service provided by Lee. One meal turned up 15 minutes before everyone else’s, then the majority turned up but we were left waiting a further 10 minutes for the last one. Lee was sincere in his apology, and couldn’t do more for us. Once the food finally arrived it was lovely. If I do go back again it will be because of the great service provided by Lee.

Our family group quite liked the chicken, steak and burgers. The brisket, ribs and most of the flagship smokey bbq option (which included pulled pork, belly, sausages) all sounded good on the menu but were all pretty dry or stodgy and not enjoyable and so we ended up leaving most of it. Good onion rings, slaw, corn and fries. Good Service. But I actually had to get my boys a pizza after leaving.

We went for dinner on Saturday night. The food was good and big portions. The service was spot on and our waitress was very attentive and friendly. It was busy enough to have some atmosphere but not to make it hectic

When this place first opened, it was amazing. Food was great, but expensive, but it was always busy. We hadn't been for a few years, and went this evening as an impromptu visit with friends. The place was almost empty. We were warmly greeted, and throughout the visit the waitress/ hostess was amazing. The food, wasn't amazing. Portions are massive, but the quality was way off. Everything was overcooked, tasteless and frankly a huge disappointment. It is still expensive to eat here, but unjustifiably so. Seems such a shame that the place has gone so far down hill, because in a town with copy and paste restaurants, this one should in theory be cleaning up. 2 of the 3 restaurant's have closed, a sadness for the staff and everyone who has put their time in to the business, but sadly if this is the standard, you can see why. I hope they can turn it around.

We came here with our friends and their two young children. Not only were the staff happy to accommodate and help us set up a suitable table space, but the food was to die for. I ordered a platter for 1 to share with my partner, which was more than enough for a lunch. One of my favourite restaurants in Bracknell!
