Visited here in a group of 20+ people on a Saturday evening, for a pre-ordered Christmas meal. Food was great, very tasty and hot, service was excellent, very attentive. Nothing was too much trouble. I've never visited here before and wouldn't hesitate going back, I imagine the setting is very different on a summers evening.

I came here for a Sunday lunch and it was lovely. I went with the pork loin roast and it was deliciously moist. The roast potato’s were cooked to perfection, with a beautiful crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. As a special they had cheese leeks for a side which I tried as well. They were absolutely delicious and I would highly recommend getting them. The whole meal was great value for money and the prices are very reasonable for what you get!

Honestly, the best roasties and fresh veg of many a Sunday lunch in Kent. The beef was beautifully medium rare and no need to ask for extra gravy. Ordered the extra side of leeks in a cheesy sauce (rude not to!) delish. Desserts were yummy too…white choc and pistachio cheesecake and lemon posset both spot on. Can’t pretend I wasn’t disappointed that the gypsy tart had run out…next time! Decent large glass of French Merlot too. Good, clean loos also feature in my choice of places to eat and these were very nice and the service prompt, courteous and knowledgeable. A very reasonable bill at the end too. We’ll be back and thank you.

They have recently recruited the Great local Chef Partice, French version for Patrick. Draged I think out of retirement, but He can not resit working on a part time basis with great new Menu. Spot of lunch at a village on the edge of Faversham and this place turned out to be a good choice. Lunch for two at £35 was a real bargain and a pleasure to eat. Large Fish and chips, Steak and kidney pudding served with a choice of chips or mash and a side of cabbage/carrots/broccoli. Tasty meat filled pudding was a generous portion and was more steak than kidney in a tasty suet pastry, smothered in gravy it went down very easily. Fast and polite service by two young gentlemen who could not do enough for you. The price included two and a half pints of Cordial and soda so was very good value.

Had a meal with a friend today. The meat pudding was inedible, never before experienced suet crust that you couldn't cut through with a knife! and meat was as tough and hard as a bullet. I sent most of it back but ate some of the vegetables as naturally I had to eat something. I was told I would get a reduction on the bill but when I came to pay only the price of a soft drink was deducted. I questioned this and it was insinuated by a staff member that I was trying to get a free meal! I've never been so insulted on my life.

We had a Sunday lunch and a mid-week evening meal at The Alma. Both were lovely. We were camping at Painter’s Farm, a 5min walk away so we’d booked to have lunch there once we’d pitched our tents on the Sunday. We found out they were having a charity quiz that evening and as it was too cold to sit outside, we decided to go back; what a hoot! Our team came last but we had such a laugh. Both the landlord and his team, as well as the locals were really friendly and made us feel really welcome. The landlady is the chef; and I must say, her Thai chicken curry was delish!

The roast was ok but, for Brogdale beef it was tough and chewy and we left a lot of it. No one asked if we’d enjoyed the meal so no feedback was given. Overall it was a disappointing experience.
