Myself and two friends visited Down in Albion for afternoon tea yesterday and we all really enjoyed it. The rapide afternoon tea was lovely food and value for money. The staff in here were all lovely, service was really quick and yesterday the Albion was really busy and still the service we received was brilliant. We didn’t stop talking about our lovely afternoon and will definitely be returning. Thank you for making us feel so welcome with our babies . Xxx

For the second time we went to the Albion arriving just before 1 o’clock. When we sat down, we were not informed they had issues in the kitchen but when we ordered we had a "reduced menu" no breakfast menu, no hot lunch reason they did not have a chef who could use the equipment in the kitchen! Whoever was in the kitchen could not put the children’s fluffy pizza for our grandchildren under a grill or even use a grill. We had to have sandwiches instead that was a let-down Our youngest grandchild is 3 so once sitting down we did not want to move unfortunately this was a mistake. I do not think we will go back again, as we said that is the second time and the last.

Disappointing, went for birthday treat of afternoon tea, rang ahead to make sure vegetarian catered for and was assured this was not a problem, l was presented with cheese and fig chutney and that was it! I did get to watch my non vegetarian friends eat a wider selection, the cakes were very basic so l bought extra cake attempting to salvage the birhday treat which only furthered my disappointment, stale and overpriced. I wont be visiting again

I have read some very good reviews of The Albion Bakehouse that we decided to give it a try. I love Afternoon Teas and have had many, many before this one. What can I say. The sandwiches were super fresh, ample filling and delicious. The cakes WOW!!! The Victoria Sandwich cake was beautiful, the home made Scones with Jam and clotted Cream were amazing. There was Bakewell slices, Chocolate Brownies and Shortbread Biscuits everything was home made. As much tea or coffee as you want. Just perfect. Would highly recommend you give this a try

There was a wide range of sandwiches to choose from which were all so fresh and tasty, the cakes were to die for, lots of different flavours to choose from it was hard to make a decision of what to have first, there were also freshly baked scones and homemade shortbread biscuits. This coffee shop has been opened a little while now, but I have never got round to sampling their goodies until today. A few of us had been to a meeting and decided to go for a coffee. The shop is in a converted house in a side street in Prescot, a very historic town, which has just been confirmed as the venue for the new Shakespeare theatre. There were six of us in all and the host went out of her way to make sure tables were put together so we could all sit together. There was an array of beautiful cakes, and the most delicious hme made scones. We all thoroughly enjoyed them, certainly no complaints. We will definitely visit again. I thoroughly recommend it.

A day off work and my twin brother and I were meeting up with friends in The Premier Pub in Kirkby Town Centre, this was our first visit of 2024 ,we went on the 22rd of January and I must say we had a great time. It's a proper little locals pub ,interior is nice ,an island style serving bar, pubby decor and furnishings, pool table and big screens to enjoy the sport plus plenty of seating options, it's a good pub to unwind in. We stayed on pints of Carling lager and pints of guinness, it was good having a catch up with friends over a good few pints ,loved my visit here ,its got to be the friendliest pub in Kirkby. We stayed here for a good few hours before we moved on and as on every other visit to here we had a great time. The Premier Pub is easy to locate on Market Square in Kirkby Town Centre. Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday, open from 11am. Well worth checking out if you're in the area.

A really good pub ,multi roomed ,island style serving bar ,big screens to enjoy the sport ,pubby decor and furnishings and lots of seating options both inside and outside in the beer garden. We were here on a Friday night ,pub was busy with a great atmosphere ,I stayed on pints of Carling beer ,served freezing cold and sparkling ,I chilled out and went over the great day out in our beautiful city. Beer served in here was spot on ,not my normal tipple but it was really good ,stayed on it till closing time ,had a really good time in here as always . The Railway Pub is easy to locate along Glovers Brow by Kirkby Railway Station. Monday to Sunday, midday till midnight. Well worth checking out if you're in the area.

I'm not comming to Costa often, maybe twice a year, but I'm not happy about my recent visit. Coffee and food as you would expect from Costa, but staff completely incompetent to work under pressure, remember orders or multitask, which is quite sad for such a nice place. 4 girls stressing around, spilling coffeys on the desk, customers waiting ages for their coffee as 4 girls cannot manage even 2 customers at the same time and can't remember an order for more than 10 seconds. I have been asked 3 times what I ordered even 10 minutes after I paid and that was just a croissant, lemon cake and late, three customers came after me been served before me, nothing for my level of patience. No smile, no politeness, no sorry, just stressed faces. Cannot recommend, otherwise the place is nice and clean.
