Came here in the early evening with my wife and three kids. Felt very much like a locals pub which isn't a problem just felt a little out of sorts with the kids. Food was good. Came out in decent time and all looked and felt hot. Only downside is didnt seem like much cheese on the cheesy garlic bread.

Good menu at reasonable prices. Nice food, friendly staff.

Quite a long wait for food I had sirloin steak that was as tough as old boots with a jacket potato which couldn't have been any smaller and my wife also had the sirloin which was the same as mine I managed to eat mine but the wife just had the chips we were offered a dessert which we accepted but not a replacement for the steak

A fantastic end of term social event at The Albion. Sarah and her team have been a fantastic support to my language business in recent years allowing me to hold weekly Spanish classes there. We were a large group (18 people in total!) We ordered the food in advance and it was delicious. The service was excellent and a memorable night was had by all! Can't thank you enough, muchas gracias :)

Sunday dinner. Had better, small portions. Beef quite fatty, veg on the hard side. Quick service, friendly staff. Toilets not brill.

Nice traditional pub with good food 👌

Lovely pub. The food was served hot and in a timely manner. Lasagne was very tasty. We visited at lunchtime and didn't have to wait very long for our meals to come out and we were on a group of 10. Well worth a visit if you're in the area.

Just a little bit quieter than one would have expected for a Friday lunchtime.

I like the Albion, it's a straightforward Greene King pub with a nice size car park with a couple of EV chargers. The food is the usual GK menu but always well prepared and the staff are friendly and seem well trained. Sitting outside on a nicked day, you hardly notice the passing traffic.

Our first visit to a local pub after moving to UK for a year now. Thoroughly enjoyed the food and drinks 😁 Great service and really good food.

The pub itself is reasonably priced, nicely laid out, clean, and welcoming. The food was a mix of reviews. We found that on a whole the food was well cooked and delicious, however both people who had burgers said they were under par. All other food was found to be really nice. Service from what looked to be the manager was fantastic throughout, and he allowed us to put a dessert order in just after kitchen close time! This was GREATLY APPRECIATE. HOWEVER, the other younger bar / waiter was quite rude and abrupt with us every time he spoke. We found he placed plates and drinks down carelessly and even splashed my friends' drink once with the quickness. I do feel that this is down too being in experience, but I hope he will learn over time to be a little more friendly when dealing with customers. Overall a good experience, both with food, drink and atmosphere.

To be honest I had low expectations of this chain pub but I have to say I was delighted with all aspects of my visit. I had the gammon and it was tender and beautifully cooked together with a perfect egg and grilled pineapple - a real treat. The staff was friendly and helpful too so a really good experience all round. It pleases me enormously to make such a positive report

The food is decent,it can take up to 50 minutes to be served. The kitchen team is not prepared for high traffic.

Waiting time was horrendous half hour kids had starters then hour wait . Went to see why chef walked out could have sent bar staff to tell us. Thus couldn't be helped and the person we were with said it was unusual. Lamb shanks were lovely. Hubby's steak was really back worse he'd had he never complained as usual. We spent alot. No offer of free desert or money off at another time. When we got it service was good.

Enjoyed a lovely meal here and the service was great, staff was attentive and nothing seemed too much trouble. There are multiple TV screens for when the football match is on or other sports, there is a pool table and a few gambler machines. There is a great atmosphere and parking as well, just remember to log your vehicle on the way in

It's not unusual to have to punch in a car reg nowadays in pub car parks that are subjected to commuter abuse but in my humble opinion pubs with monitored parking like this does mean a certain kind of clientèle are likely to be present. The pub advertises itself as a sports venue and it certainly does what it says on the tin - we watched one family hooverer up a lunch with their post-football youngsters in tow only for them to be replaced by another muddy boot clad group of teens who couldn't take their eyes off the angry Midland Derby steaming live into the lounge. Whilst the hooligans on the pitch did battle with the secretly secreted Wolves fans the adults in the room blinked unresponsively into their social media feeds. I am a sports fan (I'm ticketed up for Wales v Scotland in Cardiff tomorrow) and as you can read from my reviews I love a good pub but just occasionally whilst both are present they can fail to gel. Our lunch was good, the service better actually (I liked the friendly barman's banter and his diamond attitude) so whilst there's nowt wrong with the Albion I don't know why I feel it felt like I was sailing in a rudderless ship. Perhaps it just lacked a bit of warmth 🤔 or perhaps I've just forgotten how the clammer of dragging your nippers out on cold Sunday morning for the whole of your thirties saps the soul...

We went for lunch on Thursday, it was very easy to find and to park in the large car park. Don’t forget to log your car at the bar. Staff were friendly, prices were reasonable. It did get quite full by around 1pm. Food was fairly standard pub fare, freshly cooked, with a lunch special menu also available. Good if you want a lighter bite, or a more substantial meal. We will come here again. Thank you.

Watched some premiership football

After coming here and having a bad Xmas meal with a work party a few years ago I was reluctant to go back when a friend suggested meeting her for lunch, however one bad meal shouldn't be why I didn't go. We arrived and ordered drinks and food and sat waiting, first blue light discount wouldn't work and the girl was not helpful in the slightest so we ended up giving up with it. I asked for an item receipt and the girl didn't know how to do this, everything just carried on going wrong. The wrong meal came out then we asked to have fries with our hunters chicken little did we know she put the 2 portions of fries as an extra, the smallest bowl of fries came, paying this as a side is an absolute waste of money, it wouldn't even feed a small child. 2 people got their meals and we had to wait another 10 mins for the other 2 meals. Lastly we thought about playing pool but it absolutely stunk of what I can only describe as cats litter tray. To top it all off my wife that had the chicken burger was fine and suddenly about an hour or 2 after eating it had her head down the toilet throwing up and spent the rest of the day and night in bed! Safe to say you are better off going around the corner to spoons, bigger portions and better value for money.

Small cosy pub in Portishead. Plenty of car parking space, dog friendly and staff on site were friendly and helpful ( Kieran and Emma) we ordered starters, sides and mains that came out quick and piping hot. Good music and comfy chairs.

Came back a year after our first visit, another fantastic visit! Service was amazing, staff were so helpful, friendly and welcoming from the moment we entered. We had a burger and fish & chips, our 1 year loved sharing the fish with me. The manager (Sarah I think she was called) came to check if we needed anything extra for our little one which was a nice touch we didn't expect. Wish we lived closer to have more regular visits. Highly recommend!

Revisitef after a long absence had been renovated to a good standard.Food was pretty average as was the menu.Drinks very reasonable.Staff very friendly.

We had problems getting to the venue for our booked table and were forced to ring them to explain that we would be late, The member of staff we spoke too was very helpful and said to get there as soon as we could. When we arrived (1 hour late) we said we were sorry and we were told that it was no problem and relax and enjoy our meal. We placed our orders and the food arrived shortly after piping hot and delicious. The venue was warm and comfortable, and the staff were efficient. After a good meal my only complaint was they had no Apple and blackberry crumble.

Yet another fabulous visit the the Albion, chose a few little starters to share, the food was fantastic as always, and lovely staff, would highly recommend.

Went on a quiet day. Did not wait long for our food so ok. We have had days when food took 45 minutes from order but If you want freshly cooked food you have to make allowances.

Went to the albion for a quick bite to eat. We drove in and followed the instructions, registering our car at the bar on arrival. Ordered the meal and everything was very good. Unfortunately, a month later I received a parking fine from euro parking for £60 or £100 if not paid within 28 days. We rang the albion and explained the situation. The fine has been removed, we were informed by the staff that if we return in the future they can only remove the fine twice. Sadly, we will not be returning in the future as this is not the kind of place I want to frequent if its going to involve a fine.

Lovely Sunday pub lunch, I highly recommend the Ale pie, mash and greens, it was gorgeous and my wife said the beef roast was also great. Anyone who goes to watch Portishead Town Women's team must go there it's so nice 👍👍👍

The food, as always, was exceptional. Great selection and quality ingredients. Well cooked and tasty. Portion sizes average but quality trumps quantity. Considering the venue was fairly quiet, the service on this occasion was slow. Sure this was a one-off as previously it had been good. Will see when we go back next time.

Standard green king menu. Food has never been great, not above spoons level. On the nachos they used deep fired pita bread? Instead of normal nachos, was not a fan at all. Felt very greasy and after 3 minuets were all soft.

Booked table on line for Sunday lunch 3pm. On arriving for a pre dinner drink just happened to hear barman say we only have 1 turkey potion left I quickly asked for it to be saved for my wife who wanted turkey. We had a drink then I went to order and I asked for the turkey and I would like beef only to be told sorry no beef left only lamb shank and the veggie option. I didn't want either of them was really dissapointed to have no turkey or beef available at 3pm is not acceptable when we had booked for the Sunday lunch specifically.

Very impressed came here previously last year, can truely say staff and managment have made a massive improvement to the pub. Lasagne was hot kids had a 3 course meal for £6. Massively helpful with the allergies side of things. Will be returning next time I see my uncle.
