Great local pub. It has really improved food in recent times. Can't wait for summer to arrive to get into the beer garden. Super dog friendly. Worth the trip, and if you're a local, worth coming here again and again.

The Adam & Eve pub has recently changed hands, with a new Manager. We were a group of 4 families who came for Mothers Day lunch. The restaurant was very busy, and you could tell that the team were under stress as new, but the manager was super helpful, catered to all of our needs (gluten-free) and we had a delicious meal. Thank you.

Although a traditional semi rural gastro pub, food and service is terrible. Attitude even worse. Yorkshire pudding had no gravy, chips soggy, chicken underdone and tasteless, broccoli mushed to pulp. Avoid

This place is hit and miss. Sometimes it’s ok, sometimes terrible. But overall much worse than it’s used to be. Wine is very expensive and white is served warm ( unacceptable), food is average and pricey for what it is.

Very nice and friendly pub. We hired the event room for wake, it was a great separated area that was bright and private. They just changed new owners, the couple is very helpful. We were able to go early to decorate the place and stay till late.

Been going to this pub for years . Its changed so much . The wine was poor qualityand over priced. The manger / owner was rude, unhelpful and borderline aggressive. Sad to see what was a great pub go down hill so much .

We popped in for a meal... never been here. Needs updating. Barman was polite and nice . But we didnt have food as at 6.45pm some food items on the menu had run out ???? Liked the bristol gin !! Needs updating internally.

Went in for a relaxed Sunday lunch. The guy behind the bar really struggled to put in our food orders 2 starters. 4 mains - turns out he was the manager! The waitress bought the wrong starters to our table 1st off. The correct food came soon after. Not a disaster. However, 2 of the main courses arrived before we had finished our staters and so got cold. The other 2 never arrived! We were the 1st in the garden and got pretty frustrated when evryone got served their dishes - the same as we had ordered -1st. The waitress told us it was our fault as we had ordered seperately and showed me 2 orders. She seemed confused when I pointed out it was all ordered together and paid together. Not confused enough to apolgise though. The manager was alone behind the bar, although there seemed to be at least 3 waiting staff and it wasn't busy. When I came out to complain, 30 minutes after the 1st 2 mains arrived he asked me to go back in the garden and he would come out to sort a refund. 10 minutes later he was still serving behind the bar. His attitude was that things go wrong sometimes and seemed not to understand why. Basically tough luck! certainly not an apology. I demanded a refund, but he said he couldn't as I hadn't asked for a card receipt!!! I got a full refund from my credit card company. We went up the road to Michaels Cafe and the 2 hungry friends had a nice meal with good service.

Reasonable quality but ridiculously overpriced for what you get. Need to offer a richer,better quality menu for these prices or come down on price for what it is: a nice local, friendly, casual pub but by no means a special gastro.

I cannot fault the service and friendly welcome we received at the Adam and Eve last week. We held our mother's wake here for 60 people. Anna and Wojtek worked very hard to make sure everything was perfect for us and it was! We highly recommend !! Thank you

I've been to the Adam and Eve many times but recently it's gone down hill! The waitress was very rude, maybe not intentionally but she has no customer service skills whatsoever! We had multiple issues with our order but agreed to alternative food which they then didn't serve us, after waiting for ages they then said the kitchen was closed. Terrible service and the one thing that did arrive tasted weird and I was concerned I was going to get food poisoning! After reading the reviews here it seems someone else did get food poisoning! I wouldn't eat here until they sort it out! Also the responses from management to some of these reviews really miss the msrk. Not a recipe for success. I hope you manage to turn it around because it's a really nice pub!

Rude, unapologetic, missed items we ordered, ran out of other things ordered and didn't bring the alternatives they had us order, and what did arrive tasted weird. They then tried to insist that things that happened hadn't. Not even busy!

Utterly disappointed with the service we received yesterday. My 8 month old baby made a small mess on the floor as I was feeding him, the waitress approached our table and in a disgusted tone stated 'you have no respect for this place' and walked off. As I asked her what she was implying she continued to be very rude, pointing to the floor and creating a scene. I was very upset with this waitress, as I had just been trying my best to feed an irritable baby. Her comments were completely unnecessary. Clearly not a 'baby friendly' pub if the staff have issues with clearing crumbs a baby may make. I hope the waitress reflects on her behaviour and attitude, and does not communicate with other customers like this in the future. Will certainly not be returning here again.

My friend and I decided to come here for a couple of pints for Boxing Day evening. There was a barman who completely ignored us. He was typing on his laptop for five minutes as we waited at the bar for drinks. This was even after we had politely asked him twice. After we had finished our first pint we went to the bar again to get the second round in. The barman told us he had just put the beer taps through a cleaning process and that it would take forty minutes until they were ready. Bear in mind this was at half past eight in the evening. We decided to leave at this point. Will not come back again. Worst pub experience I’ve ever had. Obnoxious and rude doesn’t cover it.

Great place for lunch, dinner or to have a function

Had a great family Christmas Day lunch at Adam & Eve. Food was gorgeous, atmosphere was just the right amount of relaxed and buzzy and all the staff were amazing. Highly recommended.

As a family, we were delighted to eat out on Christmas day and we had such fun at the Adam and Eve. There were a few hiccups but the friendliness and hospitality of the management and staff more than made up for it...great fun.

The Adam and Eve staff were fantastic with our group of young families. They gave us a wonderful space and ensured we were well looked after. The food was fantastic and we had a wonderful pre-Christmas get together. Thank you for accommodating our group so wonderfully!

Mediocre food with exorbitant prices.. customer service is also non-existent. The guy at the counter cannot be bothered and the lady attending at the tables doesn't have customer service skills. Also don't dare asking if they have non-dairy milks! We are in London in 2023 and they don't serve oat or even soya milk?! And it turns out they cannot even make you a coffee with normal milk. Reason? They asked a guy to go and get some milk at Waitrose and he hasn't been back yet! Weird! How can you not serve coffee with milk? We will definitely not be back again!

Food was ok but limited on what was on the menu. It was a quiet evening, not many people at the pub apart from our group. I wouldn't come back but that's my personal opinion.

Food was disappointing. The falafel burger was tasty but dry. Could have done with more salad and fewer chips.

One of my favourite pubs and the Sunday Roast was the best I had in a very long time. A large lamb shank with home-made gravy vegetables and crispy Yorkshire pudding.

Delicious tender roast chicken and flavorful lamb all cooked to perfection with a crispy exterior and juicy interior. Roasted and caramelized vegetables served alongside the meat. Let's not forget about the Yorkshire pudding. Golden, puffy and crispy. Also homemade gravy pouring over the roast and vegetables brings everything together and enhances the overall experience. Definitely coming back next week.

Met up for a family Sunday Lunch gathering, 10 adults and 3 infants. When our Sunday roasts arrived the food was cold and we all returned it to be heated up. The food reappeared hotter but not 'roasting hot'; we were told to be careful as the plates were very hot.....they were only barely warm. 36 hours later illness set in; first diner started to vomit and it carried on through the night, early hours of the morning and through to noon. Diner 2 spent Tuesday morning on the bathroom floor, missed work and lost a day's pay. Diner 3 sick throughout Tuesday and into Wednesday - not terribly helpful as she had three children under two and a half to care for! All were from different households and had one thing in common - Sunday roast together at the Adam and Eve, Mill Hill. Pork and chicken were the culprits. We were told that we would receive a refund but when we went to collect it, were told it was only offered for the three diners who were ill.; misleading as we were given the impression that it would be a full refund. Felt sorry for the manager who, when we rang and met him again in-person was clearly embarrassed and apologetic but said that it was the decision of the owner. I have noted numerous responses from the pub owner who, when faced with online criticism, said that the feedback would help them to improve their offer but clearly such responses were 'empty words!' And we left a tip! We value our health and won't be returning. Ever!

Myself and my wife went earlier and ordered the fish and chips meal. Not only was it incredibly overpriced, we also both got food poisoning from the meal. Awful experience. Edit: here’s an update ! The manager gave me a call and stated that he can’t offer me any refund or reasonable compensation for a meal that gave me and my wife food poisoning. After confirming the timeframe and that we did eat there, he stated that because our symptoms began four hours after eating there, it was not “in the rules” to offer any compensation, as food poisoning “only sets in 12 hours after eating” (which is obviously wrong and disingenuous.) He also said he can’t escalate my complaint further. Thanks for the help.

Went today for 30th birthday meal I carnt explain fully the extent of the most unorganised meal out I’ve ever experienced in my life, drove down from Bournemouth really looking forward to this family gathering but was not a good experience, there was about 15 of us there was no welcome on entrance to pub to tell us where to sit & no body to tell us how we order no table service, so we all order our food & after a very long time some of the food arrives I start eating my food not only is it cold broccoli was raw then only to spot a hair right across my plate so my boyfriend goes to complain & a very aggressive waitress comes over & im made to feel like I’m a nuisance she asks me do I want to reorder so I say I need to look at the menu again then the dosent return to ask what I would like no apology or anything a member of my family gave me half of her burger 3 people from our party received no food at all when asking aver a hour later where there food was to be told they didn’t order any food omg everyone else had long ate & they then said they had run out of the food they had ordered so decided to get a refund & get a takeaway on way home I understand they was buzy but total lack of any apology completely ignorant of what was going on at the table shocking service totally ruined a birthday meal management need to address this service & comunication with its diners we will never return.

Mid week family lunch. The pub is lovely decor, fast service, perfectly edible food!!🤣 everyone had a lovely meal. Robert behind the bar served us very nicely. Will definitely come back and recommend.

Lovely local pub! Expansive beer garden with plenty of seating. The pub spans across two floors, with loads of space. Good selection of drinks behind the bar. Great range of food at reasonable prices, the small plates are delicious. Friendly staff and lovely open fireplace to stay warm.

Food was bought to table not really hot. Also salmon was not available.

What has happened to the Adam and Eve, it used to be a great pub. I have been twice since COVID at lunchtime and it's almost empty. I had to send the Ghost Ship back, it was vinegar and most items on the menu were not available. Great shame.

A little expensive for what it was but otherwise a nice quiet place to enjoy your afternoon.

Lovely pub, nice outdoor space, sadly worst roast I’ve had in london in a long time. Tough, dry overcooked beef, soggy over cooked veg, chewy roast potatoes and overly salty gravy. On the plus side, the service was friendly!

Nice pub and beer garden but unfortunately the food is really awful. The roast beef was almost inedible and the potatoes were definitely frozen. Shame as service was good

Can only assume there has been a change of management in the last year as standards have sadly dropped. Eaten here twice and food was disappointing on both occasions

We had an evening meal and few drinks 2 days ago...our first time for some years. The food was really good (Chicken burger, ceasar salad), service was friendly and efficient with good selection of beers...and the apple pie was amazing! Thanks to Anna and Voltak

Great place, had a memorial for our auntie here 2.9.23. Food was lovely. The staff were attentive and friendly. Would return for usual drinks in the garden.

So disappointed! We’ve been coming here for many years and always enjoyed the roast! Today the food went back 3 times! Starter came with main course. Twice we asked for rare beef - each time came out cremated! The quality of the food was awful. The roasties were re-heated and soggy. The veggies were frozen! Our friends had the salmon that was over cooked! Why has this gone down so badly! No manager on site to talk to! Won’t be returning any time soon!

Solid pub. Decent drink selection and varied menu. Staff are friendly and attentive. Return regularly. Dog friendly. Great outside space. Parking limited but plenty of street parking.

This pub used to be really good. Clearly new owners as all the interesting things on the walls have gone. Also what used to be a really lovely menu is more like a burger / chicken place with a few extra things. I explained that I am gluten intolerant and the women behind the bar made a stupid face and groaned. Almost every dish was with gluten except the chicken which they had run out of except for a children's portion. It is no joke being gluten intolerant and not something that I made up out of thin air.

Didn't eat so the food rating is not accurate but the staff were lovely, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Really nice vibes in this pub. They also do live music and comedy nights. Decent range of beers, wine etc quality all around.

Wotjk and Anna were amazing great hospitality and very funny, the Fresh mint is a great touch from the garden

Awfully disappointed with the experience here. Purchased a drink and the barman charged me £10 extra! He printed out the receipt from his till machine which showed the correct amount but when I requested the receipt from the card/payment machine, he struggled to find or reprint it. I ended up disputing it with my bank. He did offer a free drink but I was more disappointed at the poor attempts to locate his copy of the transaction receipt.

This pub has always been way too noisy a function of all wooden floors and wooden walls and furnishings. If it is busy really hard to hear conversations. The back garden is much better if the weather is good. Real ale very hit and miss.

Was with some of my family and my daughter in law who had just been to funeral directors to arrange her mum’s funeral. Asked for menu a man handed me two paper typed out menus on clipboards with no communication notice this menu finished at 4pm and it was 3.55 and some of our party had not arrived yet so inquired if we need a different menu after 4pm was told similar menu and that was conversation. My son went up and asked about the other menu and was told to wait they will bring it waited 20 mins and we never got any menus. We were sitting in garden and had to clean our own tables and noticed none of tables had been cleared for a while yet there was only about a dozen customers in there. My son seen a friend there and he told him not to eat as food was not good the day before he waited nearly an hour for food which was not very good We decided to leave not because of what we were told but because of our experience and the last thing my daughter in law needed was more stress. I have been to Adam and Eve on many occasions and that is why we chose to go there and have always been happy with food and customer service it was like I had walked into a different place hope it get back on track before you lose a lot of your customers

Great traditional pub with great food, drink and music.

Unfortunately I need to echo the others who reviewed saying the place has gone downhill fast. The menu options have shrunk and is quite poor in variety, there’s an obvious lack of staff so ordering a drink can take forever when standing in a queue...

Very limited menu and overpriced. Considering the location cannot believe how dingy and outdated this pub is. Would strongly recommend giving this place a miss.

Excellent experience today at The Adam & Eve pub. We had the Roast Chicken and Roast Beef. Generous portions and delicious taste. Our food came fairly quickly. Would definitely recommend.

Sad to say for some reason it has gone downhill. From a place I used to recommend to a place I would say don't bother. In a pub with plenty of seating, they chose to places right next to the serving hatch and the corridor...

Nice enough pub, with a great outdoor space nestled between homes in Mill Hill. The food was abit of a let down, not enough choice especially vegetarian meals, the fish had more batter than fish. Also beware toilets are upstairs not ideal.

Place seemed short staffed. The food was very late..orders were taken incorrectly. Nice place but service needs to improve.

Horrendous new manager who has ruined what was one of our favourite local pubs. Incredibly slow and incompetent service, rude and unhelpful manager who constantly forgets orders. I will not be back and will not recommend the pub to friends.

Visited with a group of friends, food was poor quality. Had the fish and chips, chips were cold and hardly any on the plate and they forgot the peas and when they brought them out we had finished what we had. Service poor with unhelpful...

This is our first visit to this pub, having read the good reviews we booked a table for 4 today (Sunday). Our first entry welcome could have been better (it wasn't that busy at 1pm), we arrived and I mentioned we booked an outdoor table, we were just pointed to the outside space (no mention we could sit anywhere, which I discovered later). Our mains were served 1hr after ordering and the presentation of the food could have been a little better for the price paid and time waited for it to arrive. Kids meal (chicken goujons with 'normal' fries, no small side salad) and plant based burger (nice) but a large amount of 'normal' fries (slapped on the plate) and no side salad. I do understand there was a large private party of people, but this is no excuse for meals coming out 1hr later. Also note, it was a hot day and maybe a reminder to serving staff about good hygiene practice (saw hands rubbing noses and stroking hair) and customer care service etiquette. We were really looking forward to our first visit and unfortunately we left a little underwhelmed.

The Adam & Eve Mill Hill is more than just a pub. I come here regularly either alone or with my friends and got close with the lovely staff and the managers. The big and tasty portions of food never dissapointed. Moreover, they have Live Music on Fridays and Saturdays nights which are great!! Usually very quick and dedicated service, so I definitely recommend!
