We had high hopes for The Jolly Badger, but unfortunately, our visit was ruined by the incompetence of the management. The manager clearly has no understanding of dogs or how to handle nervous dogs in a compassionate or professional way. Instead of showing empathy or offering any kind of support, we were kicked out because our dog was a bit nervous — not aggressive, just uneasy — following a complaint. It’s incredibly disappointing to see such a lack of awareness in what’s supposed to be a dog-friendly venue. If you truly care about animals or expect staff to have even a basic understanding of canine behavior, I’d advise looking elsewhere. We won’t be back.

I dropped in just because I fancied a salad. Kaye was super helpful and very friendly. My vegan burger was tasty. The salad is always good. The chips were dire. But it's cheap and good.

Julie was an amazing server at breakfast and very attentive and informative about things that we can do next time with the breakfast etc.

From the moment we walked in, she greeted us with a warm, welcoming smile and a genuine enthusiasm that made us feel right at home. Her attention to detail was impeccable, ensuring that every part of our meal was perfect. She anticipated our needs without being overbearing and was quick to offer recommendations from the menu, all of which turned out to be excellent choices. Not only was her service efficient and professional, but it was also evident that she truly enjoys what she does, which made the whole dining experience even more enjoyable. My partner and I came for drinks. The lovely Jasmine served us but was very overwhelmed before this behind the bar. A manager named Nastè then came to help Jamie with something behind the bar and neglected to serve any other customer stating she doesn't take food orders and neglected to serve anyone else. I felt she was rude towards customers and ultimately left jasmine to handle everyone at the bar herself! Really well done to Jasmine for her hard work and perseverance.

The service was incredible, such a shame the food was so bad. The standard has dropped completely, the coleslaw smelt tasted sour and off and smelt, same with the potato salad. Bread was soft and stale, the pasta was dry and the ribs lacked sauceService from Julie was the only thing that made it a good experience.

Both times we have visited we were served by Julie who provided top-tier service. The food was also great.

The staff and manager was very helpful and lovely amazing food and the price was worth it for what u got definitely coming back again for my partners special birthday in June

It's fine. Somewhere to have a drink in Edgware. Staff are friendly. It's open to kids which is convenient for some people. Not too expensive.

Amazing lady Julie and amazing service

We chose this restaurant for a simple yet special dinner after our proposal, requesting a small table setup—perhaps a candle or a flower. Unfortunately, there was no effort made to accommodate this. The service was underwhelming. Our server rarely checked in, struggled to remember simple requests, and took an excessive amount of time to bring us the card payment terminal. We eventually had to find another server to pay. She also seemed overwhelmed, repeatedly forgetting a request from the table next to us, delaying their meal unnecessarily. As for the food, the only highlight was the salad bar, which was well-stocked and clean, though the sauces were disorganized, with missing labels. The nachos lacked cheese, my steak was completely flavorless, and my fiancé’s grilled chicken was overly charred, overpowering any natural flavor. We had to rely on salt, pepper, and even ketchup just to make the meal somewhat enjoyable. The atmosphere was basic—not bad, but nothing memorable either. Overall, this was a disappointing experience for what was supposed to be a special evening. We won’t be returning.

We originally booked the Windmill in Bushey for Mother’s Day and after turning up were told that we were on a waiting list and they had no idea when and if they could seat us, despite the fact we’d received 2 emails and a text confirming our booking. (I was told this was a problem caused by head office and not the restaurant itself). We left and called the Jolly Badger in Edgware and spoke to Mark who managed to accommodate us. The food, service and atmosphere was excellent even though they were extremely busy. Our waitress Asha was really attentive and friendly. We will definitely be returning to the Jolly Badger Harvester in Edgware. Thank you Mark and Asha and all the staff at Edgware for accommodating us and an enjoyable evening.

I went to harvest for a quick feat before WWE. It was amazing. Emily was super kind and really patient with me n my family. If i were her manager i would give her a pay raise. Would definitely come back Cant wait!

We went on Friday evening. The food was overdue. The baked potato tasted bad, like it was baked one day before and only heated when ordered. The range of salad was very bad.. nothing fresh and tasty. Waste of money. Will never go again there.

On two occasions I’ve visited the Harvesters in Edgware and was served by Keeley, and she was very friendly, attentive and welcoming from the first instance we got in, a pleasure to come be served by her

We went just as it opened and it was fairly quiet during that time. It looks like a place good to eat with kids/family during the day, they have a variety of options, free unlimited salad, food was great. There is bar area separate from dining area.

Today was really nice, i served by julie. She was nice and friendly. I ordered main and desert. Really amazing. The salad bar was free. Tnx for everything

Staff were so rude. We had an awful waitress. Bar staff were equally rude. It's expensive for what it is, I would at the very least expect good service.

I always make the effort to go to this harvester with my daughter at least once a month because I've always had great tasting food from there but today my burger was not right it was over cook and there was a hair in the prawns just put us off going there again

5 stars service to Nasta! First, she proactively helped us to accommodate our 18 persons to two big tables in a close area. It made us to enjoy the dinner together tonight! Her reaction is so fast and smart. She takes our order very clearly and patiently that without any order missing. She also helped us to check the bill and make sure we enjoy the £1 kids meal promotion. She is smart, fast and flexible. Wonderful service! Well done Nasta! Also the food are great and the kids love the Sundae Best very much!

The food was good, however some parts of the mixed grill were dry (chicken). Great service from Asha who went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed.

We had a great lunch today. There was plenty on the plate and everything was cooked well. We were served by K, who was really efficient and friendly. We couldn't have asked for more. We will visit again when we are next in the area.

Poor experience unfortunately, On Friday the 17th of January we visited after my son finished his work experiencelocally, I have celiac disease and was told I should have checked the menu before arriving, then the waiter shoved a tablet in my hand and told to sign this. When asked what it was? Then said it's so you don't sue us!!! When food arrived, it came 15 minutes apart !!

We only popped in for a coffee and loo stop......but the coffee was very good and the lady carried the coffee for me as l am on crutches.....the decor and chairs could do with a renewal....l have been to the harvester before and the food has always been good especially with the salad bar as an extra...The ladies loo was very clean,but the hard dryers didn't work,the waiter gave me serviettes... thats why 4 stars not 5! Update! Went to the same Harvester again today,It was spotlessly clean and the ladies toilets were immaculate....a big plus always for me.....my Latte however wasn't nice it actually tasted like the milk had turned,but l was on a hurry and l had to leave.....eeeeuuw sour milk!!! It was however quite busy for mid Saturday morning,l looked at the general menu and l was shocked at how expensive it has become.....so l don't think we will be going there fir a while......but yes it is nice there.....

My husband has a gluten allergy and when we 1st arrived the host told us that the waitress would tell us what was available for my husband to eat. Once seated the waitress had to go off and deal with an incident at the bar leaving us sitting around. Eventually she returned an took our order an told us which food my husband could have. We Eventually got our bowls for salad, after my husband got his the waitress got very panicked about potential cross contamination an took the bowl of salad off my husband an said she'd do it for him. We then then said but that can cause more cross contamination. The host/manger who seated us then came over an said to waitress if he wants to serve himself that's fine but he'll (meaning my husband) had to sign a disclaimer! All this talking about a disclaimer whilst my husband is sitting there like his not there or consulted. The manager brought the tablet over to the table an just said sign here without explaining what was happening. He was very rude, an very unprofessional. A joke was made later on to the waitress about there not being any taste to gluten free food anyway! I most certainly wouldn't return to this harvester, people very unprofessional an we had to ask several times for things. My son had two fried eggs as a side because his autistic an they came in a bowl swimming in oil. I personally don't think the host/manger understands allergies and find them joke because that's how he acted whilst we were visiting.
