I don’t know where to start. The service was unwelcoming and very abrupt. The order was mixed up so we didn’t receive the right food. When we finally receive our food , it was not cooked properly and in a pool of water and grease.

The service was very slow and we waited for drinks for over half an hour. When we ordered the food the stater and main course all arrived on one plate as was warm and the meat not cooked properly. We left the food and reluctantly paid the bill and went to another restaurant.

This place is great for a fantastic food and service. I went there to celebrate my friends birthday. The chef was very friendly and helpful as we're the waitresses. I can highly recommend this restaurant.

We waited for over an hour and a half for simple rice dishes. When it finally arrived I can only describe the rice as baked and hard . Not worthy of payment and we will not return. We did try and complain but we were ignored and asked to pay before leaving.

Always great value and delicious. Ordered from the £10 menu and wasn't disappointed. We go regularly (twice a month) and other than occasionally being a little slow when it's busy, I've never experienced an issue

My partner and I went to Thai village for our date night 25/1, something we had been looking forward to the whole week. I’m a big fan of supporting small businesses and have advocated for Thai village since their opening, when I first ate there. We ended up waiting 2 hours to be given our meal, however as an ex worker in the catering business, I understand Saturdays can be busy so we was very polite, despite no apology for the wait. The table behind us left without eating and 3 other tables asked when their food was going to be served. Eventually our meal was served and my partner began eating his pad Thai and crunching on something, he wasn’t sure what the crunch was until he started to find clear pieces of egg shells in his dinner, this was not an edible meal. We reported this to a waiter, simply with the intention to have a fresh meal made, however was told they would give us 50% off due to a small section having been eaten by my partner. We proceeded to hear the chef loudly shouting in the kitchen about how we lied about the egg shells. We were not happy to pay for a chef who was rudely speaking about us, alongside an inedible meal. We asked for the bill but wanted to speak to the manager about our unhappiness paying for this treatment. Wayne, the manager, came over to our table and began belittling us, saying there was egg in the pad Thai, what can you expect? He said why did you eat a small part of it, we informed him we had to work out what the crunch was before being alarmed by egg shells, which we had sectioned off in a pile to show the kitchen. The head chef, who I believe is his wife, then stormed out and shoved an egg and a bowl in my partners face, telling him to “crack the egg with one hand and see if you don’t get any shell”. I was mortified at this treatment, yet my partner cracked the egg with no shell residue in the bowl. My partner told the chef how disgraceful she was, as she proceeded to tell us to “f**ck off” and never come back, taunting us with “bye bye” from the kitchen. Wayne at this point had walked away, allowing his wife to verbally abuse their customers, infront of a restaurant of people. I did not want to fall to the shameful level and unkindness of Wayne and the chef, so to preserve my good conscience, I paid for everything apart from the pad Thai. The chef then stormed out again to see what I was doing, clearly ready to verbally abuse me again. I informed her I was paying for everything apart from the pad Thai, to which she went back to the kitchen loudly swearing again. I look back and think, why did I pay someone who told me to “f**ck off” multiple times and inevitably ruin our date night. I was originally shocked about the egg and bowl situation, however from the 161 ‘terrible reviews’ and several other situations of the chef threatening to pour curry over someone’s head and the owner bringing out raw chicken to make his customers smell, I now do not feel as shocked. Moral of the review: DONT eat at Thai village unless you are prepared to eat egg shells, as after all if the meal contains egg it must be ‘normal’ to have dirty shells! DON’T eat at Thai village unless you are prepared to be verbally abused by Wayne and the Chef for challenging anything DON’T eat at Thai village unless you are prepared for aggression, swearing and patronising behaviour, or witnessing it, if anyone else challenges anything DON’T eat at Thai village unless you can justify that the other 161 ‘terrible’ reviews are all make believe DON’T eat at Thai Village unless you are prepared to receive service with no accountability or remorse for bad actions (as seen by response to other reviews)

The food we ordered was clearly processed and not fit for purpose. When we tried to complain we we dismissed. We definitely will not return.

We went on a Friday night so it was quite busy, but staff were all very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was fun and was really nice, all the food was freshly prepared in the kitchen and was absolutely delicious. Very good value for money. It was family friendly and there were quite a few groups with children who were clearly welcome. We would definitely go back again.

Visited this week and was the perfect venue for a couples night out. My husband and I had the 2 for £10 deal (starter and main) and although the starter was small the main dish was more than adequate and full of taste. Our dinner also came very quickly and the service was commendable. Other dishes we saw coming out that weren't on the offer were bigger portions and looked very well presented. We shall definitely be heading back for another visit.

I have been to this place multiple number of times, and also had group gatherings with colleagues, but I will never come here again! Today I had dinner here after work, some other people from work I know were also here. I finished the food, paid the bill and walked out, and as I reached the outside of this eatery behind me an employee come running shouting “ excuse me, excuse me, have you paid” etc!! I was very surprised! I told them I already paid, but they contested I had not, so I got a irritated and said, “Ok, I had not than”, and they immediately said’ “ok you didn’t, then pay now”, and brandished a card machine and asked me to pay! And this drama was happening in the open courtyard of the shopping area, in full public view. It felt strange, extraordinary, felt like a circus of some sort! Then the two people who own the place came along to say “ no, no, he paid, he paid”! But it was in the courtyard in front of other people, already very embarrassing for me! I worst experience in my life anywhere in the UK, maybe they profiled me from my looks as someone who would leave without paying, I don’t know. I told the owner how I felt, he was standing besides me, trying to explain how this happened, new staff etc, but never even said sorry. I told him to forget me as customer, would never come here, very uncivilised behaviour!

Okay firstly the food was good! Authentically Thai and decently portioned. I could really find fault there. The service initially was great but seemed to detiorate quite quickly. We got our drinks fast, our starter arrived in good time. It was a while between that being removed and our main coming out but that was okay, we weren't really rushing. But I ordered a second drink which took about 15/20 minutes to come and weirdly was not served the same as the initial drink (same drink, first was in a can with a glass, second was already poured, so marks down for lack of consistency). After eating (again food was actually GOOD) we asked for the bill!! We got it fast enough, sure. But it took the best part of half hour for someone to come to take the payment! We owned up about the fact that my second drink wasn't on the bill. That was shrugged off, poor business where I come from, we were willing to pay for it! We tried to tip, couldn't as they don't have the functionality to support card tips! I want to reiterate, the food was great and the young lad who initially served us was brilliant! But the overall experience was poor at best!

Decided to try this venue out. The restaurant wasn't busy but the music a bit loud and the television which my wife was facing had a farming program on showing a cow giving birth. The staff were friendly and helpful and we ordered drinks followed by a starter and main each. The drinks arrived quickly followed by the food. Oddly both starter and main on the same plate. My food unfortunately was grim at best, no flavour and only edible after I covered mine with sweet chilli sauce which came with the fishcakes which were flat, greasy, limp and tasteless. My wife's noodle dish was mainly noodles with very little chicken and only one piece of carrot. The noodles were claggy and congealed. Fortunately the toilets were immaculate a pity we could not say the same for the food. We will not return.

After reading some of the reviews we nearly cancelled our booking so glad we didn’t, The service was perfect, greeted by a very polite smiling waitress taken to our table, another lovely waitress took our drink order followed by yet another lovely waitress who took our food order, The food was hot and very tasty, definitely will be returning would totally recommend eating here 💯

Truly terrible ,manager/owner is unhinged,incredibly rude violent women .,my wife and I were thrown out as we asked to have our starters before our main course.The owner manager shouted and screamed at us ,even threatened me with physical violence. We had an absolutely amazing meal here. Very much needed on a cold, wet windy day. It was my first time here so I asked our waitor Jayden (apologies if that's spelt wrong) what he recommended. I am so glad that I went for what he recommended, it was delicious! Food came very quickly and was nice and hot. 3 of us tried different things and all were amazing! I visited last night, with my friends. We chose off the £10 started + main menu which was a great deal! We were at first worried the portion sizes would be smaller due to a reduced price but this wasn’t the case! Still massive portions. I had the Massuman curry and Chicken Satay and it was so delicious, my partner had the chicken pad Thai with veggie spring rolls, which of course I had some of his, and that was also so delicious. So much flavour and food comes out steaming hot. Although it was quite busy we didn’t seem to be waiting that long for our meals. As I said it was quite busy so the servers were rushed off their feet, so at times we did struggle to get attention when we wanted to order more drinks, but this is normal in a high capacity restaurant I guess. I will definitely be coming back soon and I recommend 10/10 to anyone.
