Great food and great service. We’re on a short break and came across this place. The reviews were really good so thought we’d give it a try. Bette than expected and the staff so friendly. My youngest enjoyed it so much he went and thanked the chef who in return gave him a load of sweets. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area

I run a Airbnb locally in my home and my guests always love a Thai meal. The options can be vegetarian too . So everyone is happy . They are always busy and spring rolls and mains food is made fresh that day. They always fit the guests in if they can . Superior service . I don’t go anywhere else for meals now in Cliftonville . Very reasonable price for the home cooked food that is offered . I commend them. I try all the restaurants locally and most overcharge for nothing especially on Cliftonville High Street .

Visited the Bangkok Thai with friends on a Sat evening in Nov. Was greeted by a friendly waitress. We all enjoyed our curries very much. Generous portions and we were even given complimentary homemade coconut ice-cream and fresh fruit. The lovely lady owner chatted to us. We took our own wine and a fabulous evening was had by all.

Return visit having been last year on another trip to Margate - the best Thai food we've had. Expectations were high & second visit did not disappoint. A beautiful meal. Thank you Bangkok Thai.

We managed to get a table for last Saturday it’s Avery popular restaurant with the locals. We weren’t and a Thai red both were so fresh and tasty. My little boy loved the multi colored crackers. The service was amazing we will definitely return next time we are in margate

We are saved!! Honestly Mai is a marvellous cook... I've lived in Thailand and know a good one... and this one is a great great kitchen. It's pure Thai home cooked food. Great just great!!! Authentic Thai food at good prices and in a great atmosphere. We visited on a day trip to Margate and cant recommend enough. Very accommodating and friendly staff. Hope to be back!

I have been coming here for over two years but due to the bliss felt by my visits I have always forgotten to leave a review. After speaking with my partner I find myself here again and yet again, it's like coming home after a long time away. As soon as you enter you are greeted with a smile and friendly decor, a small but warm seating area with a fantastic fragrance of thai cooking. We always have the fish cakes for starters, truly sublime flavours, beef penang and sticky rice as its unlike anything ever served before and we have tried every thai restaurant in thanet, please do not take my word for it for it is out of this word delicious!!! After a few visits here we were lucky enough to meet the owner and chef, Mai, a truly wonderful woman with a heart of gold and culinary skills that match her smile, simply a phenomal human. It took so long to write this review as I am afraid it will become too popular and getting a table here will become more difficult, as hard as it is to do though, it is unfair to not let the world know of this marvellous little wonder that is the Bangkok Thai, the best thai food in thanet. We will always be back if this little gem stays the same.

Been going there for four years. NEVER had anything that wasn't amazing! Friendly intimate and great value for money. Great at fitting you in at the last moment and will cater for gluten free options.Best Thai restaurant in Margate.

over the last 9 years we have been going to The Bangkok Thai RestaurantMaybe a little small but its worth it for some great fresh Thai food cooked to orderand if you like a drink its take your own,always clean and tidy,But if i where you i would ring up and make a bookingi think if needed you could get a wheelchair in but it maybe a bit tight

I absolutely adore everything about this little restaurant. Not only is the place so quaint and intimate, but the food is absolutely incredible. Truly authentic Thai which is nice from all the other fake Thai restaurants. Mai is an absolute treasure and just tops of the experience. Thank you will be back again many times.

Regular visitor to the Bangkok Thai and it always never disappoints. Yes, the place is smaller than usual, but the atmosphere is greater than any others. there’s a great sense of connection between you and Mai (the owner) as she always comes out to check it everything is okay.

I have eaten in Thailand often. This is the nearest I've found to an authentic Thai dining experience in Kent. Real Thai ingredients cooked properly. Small space but a great atmosphere created by friendly staff and happy customers. (Take cash and a bottle). Superb value for money.

If you’ve got all night visit this restaurant, went with my partner and her family, we waited an hr for starters and 2 hrs 30 mins for the mains, terrible service, I’d never visit this restaurant again unless you got 3 to 4 hrs to wait, we arrived at 7 and got out about 11

There is so much to say that's great about this little restaurant. Fish cakes for starters were amazing, as was the Penang curry for a main, I sadly chose the lamb and mango curry as I like to try new things, which wasn't to my pallet, but the portions were so good that my partner shared her parang curry, and with the sticky rice and the most tasty pad Thai noodles, we could not finish everything. The prices are reasonable for the portions sizes and no corkage charge is a real bonus! The waitress was very accommodating for every need and very knowledgeable of all things served, don't be afraid to ask for anything. No card payments only cash but the cash machine is over the road so it's not a big problem. The final treat was a sorbet and fruit which was free! Overall it was the best dining experience I have had in a Thai restaurant in Thanet, and I have eaten in most, highly recommended by two very fussy eaters, in fact, why are you reading this still? You should be booking right now!!!

Outstanding! Food unbelievably fresh and tasty. Amazing chef working in tiny kitchen producing delicious food. The chicken, beef, Thai sausages,spring rolls are all fantastic. The green beans are awesome and the complimentary, lovey little coconut ice cream and fruit at the end of the meal is perfect. Great service and atmosphere. Will definitely be back!

popped in for an evening meal as reviews were good and it was across the road from where we were staying. Just us in there but that didn't matter at all as the food and service great. Had a lovely meal. Take in your own alcohol.

Have been eating at this restaurant for years and there really is nothing that can beat it. The food is fresh, homemade and beyond delicious - especially the Thai curries which are an absolute must. Having known Mai for so long I can honestly say she is one of the most lovely, kind and welcoming people you could ever meet - and her charming personality is expressed so wonderfully in her food. A true must for anybody local or visiting the area.

I popped along close to closing time and received a very warm welcome, a really friendly atmosphere and the staff were really lovely.

As we were staying locally we thought we would give this a try despite some average reviews. Very pleased we did because the food was excellent. We had a Penang curry and a Massaman curry plus a noodles dish and coconut rice for £30. They have dont have a licence so we took our own wine. The service was very good but it was a quiet Wednesday evening so no real pressure. The premises is small and the tables tightly packed so I imagine it would be hectic at the weekend. Overall it was good value for the money.

The balance of flavours in the food is incredible, really well done. S taff were friendly and welcoming too. The restaurant is very small (although bigger inside than it looks from outside), you definitely need to book in advance. Highly recommended.

We booked a table here. It's very, very small and difficult to get around this restaurant so they appear to be more popular than they actually deserve. As others have said the food is no more than average Thai food, although I guess many patrons haven't eaten real Thai food outside of Margate.

The food is very good and also gluten free, so people allergic to gluten can eat each kind of meal. The location is very nice and particular!

An interesting restuarant off the main high street in Cliftonville, recommended by friends. The food was very good and tasty esp the chicken massaman curry and the pad thai, but the service was very slow and it appeared they seemed to concentrate more on the take aways rather than the customers in the restuarant. The waiter was very nice though and quite amusing at times. The resturants is very small and it is BYOB so I would suggest to bring plenty of them as it took 3hrs to complete our meal.......

I was recommended to visit by a couple friends and am so glad I did. Both Malcolm and Maia were warm welcoming and friendly. The food was fresh and hot but most of all it rated beautiful. Lovely little find we will be back soon!

went to bangkok thai restraunt expecting great food, the reveiws were great. these people must have be a bunch of non thai eaters. the food was a total dissappintment.it was basicly was a roast with no flavour. i do not recomend it what so ever. if you like gravy then this is the place for you.

My Wife and I visited this Restaurant as part of our weekend away for The Jolly Boys Outing Convention due to the posive reviews. It soon became apparent that is a business run by an Englishman and his Thai Wife (later known and Malcolm and Mai). Malcolm was clearly passionate about what he does looking after the customers whilst Mai specialises in the cooking. We were looked after from beginning to end with no rush, in fact we spent three hours there which is the longest I have ever spent in any restaurant because we did not want to leave. When we arrived we got prawn crackers and sweet chilli dip (don't believe we were charged for this). The main course was excellent and extremely reasonably priced. The bring your own booze was also a bonus and there is an off-licence across the road which I visited twice! After desert we did not feel at all time restricted in finishing our new bottle of wine, in face the owners brought us out hot fruit and coconut cream to go with it (also not charged for). By this time we were chatting to regulars on other tables and Malcolm and was a good laugh. (certainly made my Wife laugh!) Considering we visited Margate just for the Jolly Boys Outing this has definitely become a talking point and a highlight for out trip and certainly the first 5 stars I have given on Trip Advisor (considering we have been to double Michellin Starred Restaurants). We have now both agreed that we would rather have someone serving our food which cares about what he does and makes us laugh providing good food than someone in a bow tie. It was a relief to finally go to a Restaurant where you get a bill that does not add on a service charge where you can add what you see fit instead of what they think you should give them. Before we left the restaurant Malcolm asked where we were staying and arranged our journey back to the hotel to make sure we got back OK.

I love genuine Thai food and this is certainly what is delivered at the Bangkok Thai. The place itself is very quirky and perhaps not what we had expected but I tend to find that it is those restaurants that deliver on every other aspect.The owners both work in house which adds an excellent personal touch. The menu has everything you would expect to see on a thai menu alongside many dishes i hadn't encountered before. This isn't the official name but ask for the 'swamp cabbage' (no cabbage in it nor swampy in any way but a term used by an affectionate local!) to accompany your dish. Very tasty indeed with a great kick of heat to it. The place doesn't have a licence so you take your own, there are local shops a plenty to purchase your required alcohol from. Just to note they do not take cards, cash only.

My partner and I had a date night last week. It's rare that we go out these days but we knew exactly where we wanted to go!We both ordered the Thai green curry and it was absolutely delicious. Service was friendly as always and we didn't wait very long for our food to be served.

I booked this restaurant for me & three of my girlfriends as I was leaving to live abroad for 5 months, so it was a Christmas, New year,& celebration of my ?? Birthday which will be next month ,Malcolm & his wife Mai, made us so welcome, we all felt comfortable right away, as well as an extensive menu, they had a choice of "specials" the food was great,& served very quick, we all had a fabulous time, and although we stay a long time ,no one threw us out ! in fact both the owners came and sat with us at the end of our meal,& chatted along , till our lift turned up.A big "thank-you " to Malcolm & his lovely wife Mai.

As a family we've been loyal customers of the Bangkok for over a dozen years at several of their premises. So for a birthday treat I booked for fourteen back in July, and confirmed the booking in early September and we looked forward to a good meal out and kept it a surprise for the birthday girl.Imagine our disappointment when on arrival, and before we'd even got to the restaurant door, we were told we couldn't eat there as our tables had been given to someone else earlier that day. Not only were we made to feel that this was our fault there was no effort to offer a solution, no attempt to perhaps make it up to us at a later date nor time and the revealed surprise replaced celebration with upset. We know people in the restaurant trade and when they suffer double bookings the first to have booked gets the table, but not here, it was obvious they just wanted us to clear off. Previously we'd always felt welcomed here but now feel it's not true hospitality, it's something less worthy and a great shame and a big disappointment.

My partner had been working away for the week and I desperately wanted to try this restaurant. I phoned at ten past six on a Friday evening and they said they could squeeze us in at 7! fantastic! what great customer service. we arrived promptly and were greeted to a lovely little restaurant and the owner, Malcolm. A great part about this restaurant is you can bring your own alcohol, so our beer was kindly put in the fridge and I had a cooler for my wine. Prawn crackers and sweet chilli dip is kindly complimentary on arrival. It is has such a warm, cosy and quiet atmosphere, that me and my partner were able to enjoy conversation easily and catch up on the week. We enjoyed a delicious meal. My partner, having never tried Thai food before went for the egg fried rice and mild Thai green curry, which he thoroughly enjoyed. I had Lamb and mango curry with coconut rice. & my word! it was the sweetest, most tastiest meal I have eaten. We had Satay chicken for a side dish which was equally as lovely. As great as the food was we were unable to finish our dishes due the brilliantly sized portions, so the kitchen kindly boxed up our meals so that we could take them home with us. Amazing food and amazing service! The chef even came to our table to ask if everything was okay with our meals.Thank you Bangkok Thai, we will most definitely be returning, but next time we will be sure to book in advance.

This place turned out to be a kind of well kept local secret (it must have been if I didn't know about it) ... with good reason. It is small and you need to book in advance. The atmosphere is friendly and the guy who runs it is a wonderful host. Absolutely superb food, every dish was delicious and, as an added bonus, you can take your own wine. Seriously, you wouldn't know it was there unless, erm, you already knew. It's tucked away out of sight. However, I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys oriental food. The owner is very warm and friendly and is happy to spend some time with you choosing your dishes. They usually have quite a few "specials" for the day so there is always something new, as well as the regular menu.Absolutely recommended.

I love this little place. The owner is really friendly without being in your face and the food is fantastic, and great value for money.We had a lovely meal there at the weekend, and thoroughly enjoyed every single mouthful.Booking is a must, as it is only small and only open a couple of days a week.I highly recommend this small but perfectly quirky restaurant. :-)

We decided to try this restaurant last week when visiting Margate due to the good reviews on here! So we were somewhat peeved to find that after walking through a particularly rough area of Margate (Cliftonville) that the restaurant was closed and appeared to have been permanently shut down!

Nice place for an evening out, owner is always attentive, and recommends and even lets you try some of the specials. Highly recommended.

We visited the Bangkok on a Thursday evening! We received a warm welcome from the owner who was full of charisma and charm! The interior is decorated in lots of Thai art and furnishings. We ordered a selection of starters which included stuffed chicken wings which I would highly recommend! The mains consisted of a chicken massaman (photo has been uploaded) food is authentic fresh and mouthwatering packed with flavour ! What's great is the Bangkok is a bring your own bottle ! If your in the area definitely visit highly recommend !

Food tonite was amazing the Tom Yum seafood soup was amazing. Luved the other starters ! The main tasted hot spicy and fresh! Service was good but not fast!! Well worth the SMALL wait just need a little patience!!

WE have been going to the Bangkok for years and we have never had a poor meal. I regularly go into the kitchen to see the lovely Thai lady cooking with fresh ingredients in a very clean kitchen.Our favourite is the Lamb curry and Thai spiced Sea Bass. My wife has been to Thailand ans says the food is better than inn Thailand. I have eaten in London's top Thai Restaurant and always come back to the execelent Bangkok

Not only is it great food but it is reasonably priced. Though they don't have a licence to sell alcohol you are welcome to bring your own.

I am yet to find a Thai restaurant that matches upto Bangkok Thai's standard. I travel all the way to margate from London just to visit this small gem of a place. The service is amazing, the food is absolutely amazing and authentic and the ambience is fab. Malcolm and Mai are a great team and I love the overall experience. I really wish I can find a place in London like Bangkok thai as I love Thai food.

Malcolm is very helpful when choosing dishes and is wife is an excellent chef.I believe a lot of their ingredients are brought back from Thailand,which makes it more authentic.They will also heat up or lower the spiciness of dishes to your own specification. The choice is good and the menu fairly variable.

Had a lovely evening with friends in this great restaurant, Malcom and Kevin (Beyonce), added to the ambiance of this quaint restaurant, the food was to die for with all the different flavors, the added bonus being, you could take your own bottle/bottles in our case, we were made to feel very welcome (visiting from Scotland), we have not laughed so much in ages, Thank You for a fantastic night.

Second visit in two weeks, so must be doing something right. We have even booked a table for next week with the inlaws. Been meaning to eat here for years but never managed it. However my children took me here for my birthday and I'm so happy. It's unlicensed so obviously take your own alcohol, which is nice as keeps the cost down. Food prices are very reasonable, roughly two people, two courses about forty pounds and they also include a light desert for free. It's very homely and quant, just like being at a friends. Would most deffo recommend this to anyone who appreciates good food.

I didn't actually eat in the restaurant, i ordered a takeaway, and you how most food doesn't takeaway very well... this did! i ordered a pad thai which was a fair size portion bordering on the very large side!.. this was one of the best pad thai noodles i have ever tasted, it was fresh, cooked perfect and balanced well with all ingredients.. the other thing i ordered was a gang panang chicken curry.. again a perfect taste! lots and lots of chicken breast, much more than any other takeaway I've had... i don't think the gang panang was on the menu, but i asked and bingo the lovely thai lady said she could cook it for me.. what a treat, seriously it was.... price wise i think it was spot on, I'm a very happy and very full man this evening, not too sure if i could manage the two next time, but there will most defiantly be a next time.. might even book a table next time, its my new favourite eatery.... I would challenge anyone to give this restaurant a bad review.... it simply won't happen.Don't waste time book a table TODAY

Having eaten in many restaurants, in many different countries I can honestly say this is potentially one of the best I have ever been to!Granted outside it isn't what you'd call a palace - but - looks are deceiving! Inside is a treasure cove of pictures and all things thai. The chap greeting is was super friendly. The food was epic. And I doesn't epic! Clearly home made, not bought in at all.The curry had melt in the mouth meat, starters were just divine and the service was super friendly.Gordon Ramsay, Jamie Oliver, Marco Pierre White, Guy Savoy and Wolfgang Puck - EAT YOUR HEARTS OUT! This place has you licked on all fronts!

Having seen the great reviews, as well as a glowing recommendation from a friend, my wife and I decided to give Bangkok Thai and a visit last night.The glowing reviews are all well deserved. The food was exceptional! The owner was a great host, very friendly and happy to chat. We were also given a free noodle dish and two free dessert dishes (some coconut ice cream and fruit and some Thai rice pudding with Mango.. Both delicious!). We will definitely be going back.. Can't believe we left it so long to discover this treasure on our doorstep.

We've been going to the Bangkok Thai for several years on a regular basis and have never had a disappointing meal. Having just returned from living in Thailand and being a massive Thai food fan, this is definitely the most authentic Thai cuisine in Thanet. Great atmosphere and really good service

This restaurant gets booked up pretty quick but on the spur of the moment we rang on the night just in case. They had a table at 9 o clock. The owner Malcolm was very polite and attentive and was rushed off his feet. The food was stunning and the best Thai so far that I have tasted. We ordered mixed starter which was amazing and the best thing is you don't have to order everything at once. We were given a complimentary noodle dish and a complementary dessert which was a lovely touch. Definitely will be going back soon. Also it's bring your own drink

This must be the smallest restaurant we've ever visited. In fact, the entire floor space, including the kitchen and toilet, would fit in our front living room. Judging by the comments we were hearing from our neighbours a scant few feet away, it's clear that the restaurant has a devoted following. It's also been going for 20 years, so it's clearly doing something right. Starters of fish cakes hit the spot pretty well with some hot and spicy dipping sauces. A seafood stir fry was good and the fish tasted fresh and wasn't overcooked. Sea bass in a tamarind sauce was certainly tangy but let down by being far too sweet. Service was friendly but idiosyncratic, although that's part of the charm of the place.

I have followed this restaurant from Margate to Ramsgate then Cliftonville for more 20 years. The food is always yummy, of a very high standard, beautifully presented and Malcolm makes the evening He always makes me laughWe had dinner to celebrate my mums birthday and she loved it.

Just because a restaurant is small does by no means make the food bad. This 36 seater offers some of the best Thai food I have ever had. Malcolm who owns the establishment and his wife have produced an intimate dining venue as if you are eating in their front room. Just writing this review gets my mouth salivating remembering the Thai green curry I had. I have never had a dud meal here and the service is like having your own butler. I sometimes can not go for to hot a dish and they are always so accommodating with making sure it is to your liking. If you are looking for a restaurant where you can be intimate this is not the place. But if you don't mind the company of others right next to you and a first class menu then head here. Not the best of locations, but once behind their doors it didn't matter, they made us most welcome ,the food came up quick, tasty & fresh, we were able to take our own alcohol, and no extra cost !, 4 crazy women had a wonderful night ,(& they put up with us)when every one else had gone, they didn't turf us out ,or even hint they would like us to go !! even saw us to our waiting transport ,it was my first visit ,wont be my last, (that's hoping they let us through the door !!)

After reading all the glowing reviews, we decided we had to try this place. My husband and I love Thai food. The food is good, it appears to be all home made although the meat appears to all be pre-salted to preserve it. The £12.50 seafood stir fry would possibly have been better value if there had been any vegetables in the stir fry, but it needed additional rice or noodles to be ordered. I also would have preferred the roe to be removed from the scallops. Having said that, the dishes were tasty. The atmosphere wasn't completely to my liking as half of the very small restaurant was occupied by the owners friends of a very vocal far right persuasion. Amongst their immigration jokes and being 'hands-on' with the waitress, it appeared that another surprised couple had made the journey based on the 5 star reviews also.Bottom line: I'm glad I tried it as the food was good, but I probably wouldn't visit again and definitely not with children.

Nice and cozy restaurant. Service with a smile++. Quality of food (shell shuan shim style) is excellent. Can recommend for Thaifood beginners as well as for the more experienced.

As a result of reading the fantastic reviews on Trip Advisor, I decided to book a table for my husbands' birthday. It has to be said that all the reviews are spot on! We have never been to Thailand but had what we believe to be a real authentic taste of the culinary delights it has to offer. The greeting we received along with the service was very welcoming and friendly as if we were regular customers. The ambiance was intimate and cosy and the food was nothing short of amazing. We met Mai who works her magic in the kitchen, such a sweet, gentle, endearing lady and Malcolm (her hubby) is such a great front of house man and despite being run ragged last night with service, he still took the time to chat with us. A really valid point worth mentioning is the value for money (especially as you bring your own alcohol) which, along with the vast and varied menu, means we can return time and time again. Can't wait to introduce our friends to it. Simply devine!!

I dined here with friends who live in the area. I'm so jealous of them! A few minutes' walk from their house is, quite possibly, the best Thai food you will get anywhere in the UK. This tiny neighbourhood restaurant serves dishes bursting with flavour and singing with fresh herbs and spices, all exquisitely balanced. It's quirky, it's fun and you get to bring your own drinks. If you didn't know, you'd easily walk on by, but if you can get in, you're in for a treat.

Been many times with family but went as a couple this time. I adore this place and it didn't let me down. The service was exquisite and personal, the food to die for at every course. We had an extremely special night there and can't wait to go back. Don't let the location put you off, it is a hidden gem.

The restaurant is a little off the beaten track. Seemed to be frequented by locals. Good sign!!! Malcolm knew everyone dining in his restaurant (apart from us as we are not locals )We went there as we were staying in a hotel down the road and saw the reviews here. The menu is not your typical Thai food that caters to English but it is how it would be in Thai, totally authentic. My wife is from Singapore so she can tell me what is authentic. It was tasty and the first time we had traditional Thai home-made dessert in UK. Price is very reasonable too. To be noted, because it is small they do not take card payments.

Booked purely due to the great reviews. They did not do the restaurant justice. The food is sensational and the hospitality, second to none. From the moment we arrived, to the moment we left, it felt like we were old friends.Definitely a place to try, if you can get a reservation... So popular, you can't leave until the last minute.You won't be disappointed, just try it.

I've been here several times over the last 6 years. I adore the place, the food and the atmosphere. The food is so delicious, there are no words. Perfection on a plate, the best Thai food I've had out of Thailand.

We had a nice meal from here and found the owners to be very accommodating as far as how we wanted our order prepared. Our order was prepared quickly and was piping hot. The noodles were a bit on the mushy side which is reflected in the score we have given, but the flavours in our dishes were all very nice. Be sure to call ahead to reserve a table, as they have limited opening times and are very busy.

I have to admit we were a little reluctant to go to this restaurant as its in Cliftonville, not one of my favourite places. That said I have now been there twice in less than 3 weeks!! Once you are inside this lovely little place, you totally forget where you are, the internal décor is lovely, lots of wooden carvings, paintings and a lovely atmosphere too. The owners are friendly and chatty, the food simply gorgeous. You take your own drink too so it's a thrifty night out too! I have been with a group of friends, and then took my hubby there and had a lovely evening both times, you will not be disappointed and we will be back! (Be sure to book, its only little and they get fully booked very quickly)

We have been to The Bangkok Thai countless time and it's without a doubt the best Thai restaurant in the country. The food is 100% fresh and authentic. The atmosphere is very homely and the service is always perfect. I recommend it 100%. The best Thai restaurant in England without a doubt.

A little slice of thailand; as soon as you walk in, Malcombe will never be a Geisha (maybe a Gengis) but the welcome is always warm; the people friendly and the food! You will forever after use it as your benchmark and only ever better it after trekking 3,000 miles. Soup'erb.*****

Been coming to Bangkok Thai for several years and have never, never had a bad experience. Food is second to none and is as authentic as it it comes. There is a good choice available away from your standard 'No brainer' Green, Red Thai curry's which the host and owner Malcome is happy to advise fro the menu or indeed specials board. The prices are also reasonable and you can bring your own drink which they don't charge corkage for.It's just a shame these little gems away from Margate's Old Town rejuvination project don't get the publicity they deserve. All in all if you want something different you cannot go wrong here. looking forward to next visit already......P.S If you like fish, the Sea Bass from the specials board is amazing!

I just love Thai food! Bangkok Thai is the place to go to on a dinner date with my husband. The atmosphere is great and they always give you an amazing service. Best of all... the food is superb and you can bring your own wine.

My husband and I have just got home from our first Thai meal, and what a great place to have it! Hidden away off of Northdown Road, this unassuming restaurant provided a brilliant experience. The food was amazing and Malcolm had no problem with explaining the menu to us, as we weren't sure on what to have. They don't usually take bookings for more than 6, so were very accommodating for our party of 10, seating us all together in one half of the restaurant, and getting our food out to us as quickly as possible. The food was absolutely delicious, one of the best meals we've had in a long time, and has surpassed all expectations we had of Thai food as a whole. Excellent value, and you can BYO alcohol, which is great as well. Overall, this is an amazing restaurant, with friendly and welcoming staff; definitely one not to be missed!
