Very disappointing. Thai is one of my favourite cuisines this did not live up to expectations. The Tempura vegetables were overly greasy and overly crispy. The chicken in the Pad Thai was over cooked and rubbery. Toilets need are down stairs and are in need of an overall. Much better Thai restaurants around

Having been a few times over the last couple of years, we attended on the Saturday for a birthday meal which was pre-booked. Service was very poor. Drinks arrived one by one over a fifteen minute period the last one didn't arrive until we chased. The meals came out with no rice which followed some ten minutes later. Wasn't really busy either and considering they charge a 12% service charge as standard we found this to be unacceptable. When we complained no apology was forthcoming either.

I had a pleasant evening with my beautiful daughter. Service was attentive. Food OK BUT £83 FOR 2 IS NOT GOOD VALUE. Wine ALSO expensive at £28/Bottle. Also no mention of service charge to be added on your bill. Its a whopping 12% as well so watch out for this Emma

The food was fantastic, hot and delicious. Mocktails we're unfortunately unavailable and it was quite loud in there, also the toilets weren't accessible, they were down two flights of stairs. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Good value for money.

We went in for lunch and I wondered why we was the only two in there but it become clear very fast. Firstly they would only take cash and sent me to the cash machine. Secondly I had squid and it was definitely cooked from frozen and was like rubber. Also rice portion was tiny and other dishes were poor. Presentation brilliant but quality and taste poor. Then cheeky staff put a 10% service charge on ! Are they taking the piss ! £70 for lunch and it was terrible.

Grim, Food was greasy, no flavour. They were trying to clear the plates before we'd finished. Drinks were flat. No atmosphere. Gutted, really wished I'd read the reviews beforehand. This is now on our 'NEVER AGAIN' list! Feel sick thinking about it! I have never wanted to throw up the food I had just eaten before but this was a first!

No atmosphere and disinterested staff. Food was okay but drinks terrible. No cocktails were available despite being on the menu and the draft ‘Asahi’ tasted terrible. The sticky rice came in a traditional woven pot but when opened contained a plastic bag with the rice in which was hard to open as it was very hot. A 12.5% service charge was added to the bill as standard.

My husband and I eat out a lot. When we feel that service has been above and beyond then we happily will pay the discretionary service charge. This place charges a compulsory service charge of 12.5%. Again.. something that we are happy to pay when the service provided warrants it. The food was lovely. We have no complaints about the food but you’d expect food to be good. You shouldn’t have to tip just because the food was good. This should be expected. However the service in my opinion should be exceptional if they are going to charge a compulsory amount. Service was not exceptional. It was average at best. At one point the front door was kept open by security for “health and safety reasons” and the temperature inside the restaurant dropped considerately. It was only after an argument with security that it was agreed eventually that the doors should be closed. Cocktails that we ordered were awful and didn’t resemble what we ordered at all. We wish we hadn’t bothered. Despite the good food, we will not be harangued into paying compulsory service charge and we will not be back.

Been here once before but decided to go mid-week. Restaurant was empty and a bit unwelcoming when we went in. Ordered drinks and they bought out normal coke rather than coke zero & then argued about it. The guy taking the order had very poor English and we struggled to explain what we wanted., but my Thai is none existent & we got there eventually. I ordered wnaton noodles with Duck & my wife had aromatic duck pancakes with a side order of chicken wings. Well the chicken wings were huge & looked very unappetising. My noodles had been cooked seperately to the duck. The noodles were hot but the duck was at best tepid & cold. It was also massively overcooked and as dry as a bone. My wifes duck was the same. Plates were cleared with a rude speed & we were still drinking and had only just finished food & a bill appeared with the question of "paying by card?" I paid the bill without looking at it as I had my phone to hand. It was 80 plus pounds. Looking at the bill afterwards, 2 standard bottles of coke were £7.80! And they'd added 12.5% or around 8 quid for service which was A. abysmal & B. I'd have got cancelled if I had seen it. On leaving we checked the outside menu One of the menus at the bottom does say compulsory 12.5% service charge. It felt & was a rip off. The food was dire and we WON't be hoing back. There are much better places in Maidstone than this.

It couldn’t be more different than the individual rooms bedecked with artificial flowers in Giggling Squid next door. Thai Rice Club is a sleek cool modern place with neon signage both inside and out. I was impressed by the generous portion of four tempura prawns in a thick crispy batter I had to start a quick lunchtime meal before an afternoon court appearance in another much larger concrete palais de justice over the river. Duck curry with carrots and pineapple was a classic combination of sweet and savoury. Pity not to have time to linger for a dessert.

Pret A Manger has been my go-to spot for my daily coffee for a while now, and I can’t recommend it enough! The coffee is always spot on, just how I like it, and the food is always fresh and tasty. But what really makes this place special is the people. The staff are so friendly and always greet you with a smile, which really brightens up my mornings. You can tell the manager has built a great team here because they all work so well together and seem genuinely happy to be there. It’s not just a coffee shop to me—it’s a place where I feel welcomed every day. If you’re looking for a cozy spot with great coffee and even better people, this is it!

My first visit but it won’t be my last? I’m not one for superlatives but the chicken shish was delicious moist and tender but still had crispy edges. The salad was crispy the chips fluffy centre and crispy outside the whole meal superb. Try it you will not be disappointed 10/10
