Wow this place is super lovely, I've been to many Thai restaurants but this one tops them all. The banana fritter are a must.

Never tasted thai food before, but the wife and I called in the restaurant on the river bank. The restaurant was completely empty. Lovely waitress called Eai (I think) helped us through the menu, explaining what the dishes were. The food was absolutely delicious! We will return and hope we get Eai to serve us......she made our day.

As palaces go, it's small and cozy. Great food, pleasant staff. The Wednesday deal isn't really a deal as you can only have certain things off of the menu, which are the cheapest items that basically add up to the cost of the deal (or less in our case). And the 'free' glass of wine is the difference between the menu costs and the 'deal' cost. So it's not really a deal at all. So ignore the Wednesday deal, it's pointless and restrictive, just have what you want from the menu. But definitely pay the place a visit the food is fantastic. Well worth a visit.

We ate here on 7/6/24. Service was terrible, had to wait over 15 minutes for first drinks order to be taken. Young waitress didn’t have a clue what she was doing and deliberately walked through the restaurant looking the opposite way so no one could get her attention. Although the food was good which saved our experience from a 1 star. On balance we wouldn’t return here due to the poor service which is a shame because the food was decent for the price, I’d only use for a takeaway.

Absolutely cramped seating. If you are one (like me) who enjoys a dining experience based on a nice open atmosphere with friendly staff - this isn’t for you. The food arrived 30 minutes later, even though there were only 2 other tables (apart from us) occupied so I’m not sure if the chef / kitchen was empty for the first 10 minutes or so and they just didn’t inform us. Anyway, it was a ridiculously slow service and average food in a cramped atmosphere. The 2 staff walking around were very rude, did not check in on us and did not come over to apologise for the inexcusable delay in our food arriving. The only good thing about this place is the reasonable price for the lunch menu.

Very nice Thai restaurant. It deserves the awards it's won. After looking online for a nice Thai restaurant I found that a lot of websites highly recommended Thai palace, so took a look at their website and menu and found that the food they had was what I was looking for at reasonable prices. I was able to book a table via their website which was great and good thing too as they are very popular so booking in advance is a must. We went there and didn't have to wait at all being greeted by a waitress and directed to our table. One thing I like about the service was that they didn't straight away all about ordering any drinks, but have is some time to sit and relax, and peruse the menu first (a lot of places straight away ask you what drink you want before you've fully sat down which is not a good experience). After taking our orders the food tasted very fresh and delicious, with the time between starter and main course being well placed. One extra thing I thought was very good was the drinks menu going off what was set. As I was driving so didn't want any alcohol they made me a mocktail to go with the cocktail my wife ordered even though there wasn't any provision for it on their menu. I thought that was a nice touch. I had the tempura prawns for starter, my wife having the vegetable option, which was delicious. The main I had a beef green curry with coconut rice which was equally as tasty, my wife having fried fish with vegetables which was also tasty. One thing which amazed me was how the food stayed hot for the duration of the meal and when initially presented. Not sure how they manage this, but even when I was having the last bite it was equally as hot as the start. This was amazing and great as it keeps the food very tasty with a lot of restaurants not having food at that temperature at the beginning of the meal nor last that long. 5/5 for presentation and taste and they are well deserving of the status. I will definitely go back as I want to try another main on their menu which was the seafood. They also deliver, but I don't think I'd take up that option as seated dining was great.

Never been there before. It was my niece' idea, after googling it for my bday. Food was tasty (even after warming up our left over take away) days later looked fresh dinner. Will definitely go back for more.

Fantastic meal out with friends. Haven't been here for a couple of years but I'm glad we went again . The restaurant isn't massive and tables are quite close together but the food is worth it . Chicken satay as a starter was the best I've had and the chicken pad Thai was perfect . Very good value too .

Been so many times pre and post covid....the food is excellent....it's not a glitzy shiny chain serving bland average meals....just very very authentic good Thai food....staff are welcoming and friendly too....much of the same please !!

It's a shame the restaurant is so small..because the food is excellent. I love Thai food and tried most restaurants near to me..but without doubt this one is the best. The tables are a bit snug...but worth it for great food.

I wish I can put zero star but it’s not letting me so still lucky I can give one star. The Staff are so rude we were eating and the guy which I think the “owner” came and he said “YOU! YYOU CANNOT BRING FOOD FROM OUTSIDE WE HAVE BREAD OR ANYTHING HERE” we responded “Sorry my stepfather is not eating rice that’s why my mum gave a bread which they have in the bag as my mum is diabetic and we’re sorry we did not know that we cannot eat food from outside as no note or the staff did not tell us but the guy said we don’t care we are in the right position I don’t need your money “GET OUT” . I work in hospitality industry even five star hotels but we always respect our guests. Reply to the owner: We kept trying to apologise and explain our situation but he doesn’t want to hear. All he was saying was “GET OUT I DONT CARE, I DONT NEED YOUR MONEY”.

Lovely food. Both starters and mains were delicious.

We had a lunchtime meal that was a starter & main at a very reasonable price. We had a lovely bottle of rose wine and it was not too loud, we could enjoy the company & hear ourselves speak.

Their Pad Thai and Tom ka soup is excellent. Will be better if they treat us the same as other tables where others were served for complimentary prawn crackers but not our table. Still recommended this place for an affordable And delicious food.

Photos don't do the food justice really, every dish we had tasted different yet really tasty. One the 3 starters we had was Thoong Thong (chicken) gray crunchy pastry parcel yet not greasy. We could have been lucky with Mains but they all looked fab and tasted even better, although I felt as though we could have ordered anything and it would have been enjoyed. Staff where quiet but attentive, no complaints at all.

Absolutely loved it here. My wife and I visited for our wedding anniversary. Booked the table in advance. Parked in Maidstone East car park, £1.50 for parking and a short 2 minute walk to restaurant. Greeted by staff and given a choice of tables. Chose to sit at the back of the restaurant. Nice atmosphere. Staff very friendly and took time to guide us as novices to thai food. Orders taken and delivery of food was very quick. The food was amazing. Really enjoyed all dishes. For the money and quality, I wouldn't go anywhere else. Definitely recommend.

The rice quantity is bad. Hard and dry, similar to the one in Asda.

Food really good. Waitresses wanted us out quickly. Very false in here. Decoration suspect. Needs an overhaul . Different welcome required here. I wo nt be returning

I have a peanut allergy and I told them not to put any nuts in the food, because I am deathly allergic to nuts but they still put cashews in it. If it was not in a container I might have eaten it and had a severe reaction. i recomeend you not to come here.

Cannot believe the shocking service of this restaurant. We booked a table for 3 of us for 6pm and when we arrived we were abruptly told we would have to leave by 7.30pm as they said they had a big table arriving (no hello or welcome) which we agreed to as we felt this was enough time. The waitress took our drinks order and then asked for our food order within 5 minutes of arriving, and we asked for a few more minutes. She came back after 30 seconds and we asked for a few more minutes, and she would not leave us, so she stood over us whilst we tried to hastily make a decision. Which is a shame as we planned to have 6 or 7 starters between us so we could all share and try bits.. but we had 1 each instead. We ordered our starters and mains. Food came out quickly and tasted good. No complaints about the food. As soon as one of us finished, the plate was taken and this meant leaning over the person still eating to get to it! The mains came out quickly and two waitresses hovered around us looking at our places and then kept looking at the clock. They stood in very close proximity to us the entire time. They seemed very anxious to have us gone, even though there was plenty of time. At no point did anyone ask us how the food was or if we wanted more drinks. Again, as soon as a plate or bowl was empty, it was gone, and again lots of leaning right over the person eating. When the meal was finished, all plates were gone and the bill was brought out swiftly without us asking for it. No offer of dessert or coffees.. it was 7.10pm at this point.. so we weren't sure of the rush and only 1 other table was occupied the whole time we were there. We came here because we were having a catch up after a long time and wanted to have a lovely experience, we chose this restaurant because we thought the reviews indicated it was one of the best. Really confused at why our service was so bad. We ended up having to find a place for a drink after so we could chat. We certainly will not be back here...!!

Great food and service at fair prices, will definitely visit again!

Always enjoy dining out in this little gem of a restaurant. The food is always so yummy and my husband and sons always want to come here to eat. Staff are always very polite and helpful. Just wanted to say that tonight’s service was exceptional and very thoughtful. On learning it was our Anniversary the owner/manager gave us a small glass of complimentary fizz and also a small dessert too. Such lovely and thoughtful gestures that were much appreciated.

Very quite as I was the only one at the restaurant that evening. Possibly because a little late. Good food. I did not really understand the bill and when enquired I received unclear explanation. Possibly I will return again

We have been here around 15 times and always had good food and decent service. We booked a table online through their website like always and received the usual email confirmation only to be turned away at the door saying the online booking isn't working???? Showed my confirmation but they didn't care. Annoying after getting a taxi into town and booking your evening around the meal. They have lost some loyal customers tonight

Terrible. We ordered a tofu pad Thai and they gave us a completely wrong order. I called and the owner was so rude - willing to replace but I’d have to drive all the way back wasting my time. Owner so so rude.

Fawlty Towers. Comical evening, but the food was very pleasant, even if I felt rushed. We literally had just finished our starter when the mains turned up.

Went for a meal with my Thai girlfriend. She loved the food and said it was so fresh and cooked to a real Thai standard.. Will definitely go back again 10 out of 10 for food.

After a shopping trip to Ashford retail outlet we booked to go to the Thai Palace for dinner. It was busy, the staff welcoming and the food was gorgeous, one of the best meals outside of Bangkok I have had. Amazingly it wasn't expensive, we have paid more for a Chinese takeaway. Next time we are passing through we would definitely be booking again.

The waiters are welcoming and attentive. The menu offers a great selection of vegrtetain options (the vegetarian set menu is a winner) and the portion sizes are just right to keep you comfortably full. I'm looking forward to my next visit!

I can count on one hand the amount of Thai meals that I’ve had this side of the Land of Smiles, and this is largely due to the fact that the Thai cuisine we get over here, just doesn’t come close to what you get over there. Narai Thai Palace however, is really very good. We had a fantastic meal with every dish arriving quickly, beautifully presented and full of flavour. The prices are reasonable, the service is good and the tastes are authentic. Would certainly recommend. The Seafood Salad was a particular favourite

I remember when I was a child, my family and I would go out for a meal at a restaurant that we all knew we‘d enjoyed. We knew the owners, the menu was like the back of our hands. Narai Thai Palace is just one of those places. You walk in, speak on first names terms with the staff. You walk to the cosy seating area and have a good old chin wag with friends and family. It’s an old school British Thai food institution.

What a little gem this restaurant is. The food is delicious and fresh. The Thai seafood salad I had was delicious and the seafood portion was generous and cooked perfectly. This salad packed a punch with the flavours. Will definitely be returning.
