Delicious pad thai and the slow cooked pork shoulder melts in your mouth. Had a seafood curry as well and it tasted so fresh and refreshing, csnt wait to go back! The staff are super friendly and fast. I felt like I'd visited Thailand again. There were some aunties selling thai deserts and other meals for takeaways as well which I got as well and was amazing! Not sure if they are going to be there everytime but really hope they will be next time! The pandan and coconut milk steamed cake was incredible and really hope i can get more next time.

Thai House Cafe Newcastle. The sauce of the pork trotter rice bowl was a bit salty. However, when looking at the degree of boiling of the meat and the smell of the meat, it was in good condition. The sauce taste and aroma of rice bowls with various meats are unique. (I can’t remember the names of the spices.) Food fried with meatballs has a larger fried area than the meat. Served with sweet sauce. Overall, the portion is large and the taste is good. After talking with the waiter, it doesn't seem like it's a place where Thai people work(?) The seats are hard wood, so it may be a bit uncomfortable. Intention to revisit) Average 2025.02.03 - Visit

Popped in here as partner wanted Thai and we were going to the tyne theatre. The location is great for that. The food was lovely, the service was bril, and it just a great little place to eat without any pretence, the food does the talking and the portions are generous. Will certainly go back.

Honestly some of the nicest Thai food and friendliest service I've ever had. We ordered extra spicy and could have still been a bit spicier though. No alcohol allowed but you can bring your own. Deep fried pork belly was awesome and I can't remember the beef noodle dish but twas awesome. Highly recommended place for a lovely and not too costly time.

I had Kao Moo Dang. I like pork and I underestimated how good they cooked this pork! This mix was exactly the mix I missed and never knew existed in Newcastle. Fantastic and is now my fav pork dish here. Some sweet, some crunchy, some chewy, some savoury.

Love this place and have visited a couple of times, most recently had a lovely crispy belly pork kra pow, thai red curry and a thai milk tea. Seated and served quickly and efficiently. All super tasty and would highly recommend.

Food was okay, not the best Thai I've had. Wasn't the cheapest either. The place looks a bit run down and could do with tidying up, bit grubby etc. Staff kept slamming the door to keep the cold out but it was a bit annoying. Staff were lovely though.

Loved the food we ordered. The spring roll and the prawn tempura were really yum. I really loved my vegetarian Massaman curry with Jasmine rice. Pork shoulder with rice was also really good.

My partner and I visited this place a few days ago, but I only just got the time to write a review. We both ordered the Chicken Pad Thai, and the flavors were incredible authentic and just like the Pad Thai I had during my holiday in ChiangMai, Thailand. We were so impressed and so lovely. If we have the chance to visit Newcastle again, we’ll definitely be back. The atmosphere was relaxed, the place was busy, but the staff were lovely and friendly. The server she had checked in on us often to make sure everything was okay and even gave us tips on how to enhance the flavors our noodles. Truly a memorable experience!

Ordered 3 meals two vegan one normal waiting for ages then the normal meal came gave it to me then they said the other meals were not vegan so didn't bother making them, there curry is not vegan they said it.was but half an hour later they said it wasn't absolutely terrible service and had to go to another restaurant to get food for the two that didn't get there food

struggled to find authentic thai food in newcastle until i found this place!!! yes you got the crispy pork belly!!!! and the servers running around yelling!!!! if this doesnt sound good to you dont come here, but to me this was so perfect. i believe its byob too!

I visited here a few weeks ago, and I was not disappointed. They serve many authentic and lesser known thai dishes that you won't find in many thai restaurants in the UK. I had the kuay jub, and it was delicious, it tasted just like when I ate it in Bangkok. The staff were also extremely friendly, I had a good conversation with them about Thailand.

Tiny cafe. The space between tables are so small. It’s inevitable to rub your bum against another table when you get in or out. And it’s so easy to hurt yourself on the protruding part of the wooden sofa.I ordered pork leg stew which was nice. But they charged 50pence for hot water and 40pence for take away box. I won’t recommend the cafe to my friend or go there again.

I've been living in the UK for a while now, and I must say, this place serves up some seriously authentic Thai food. It's hard to find this kind of flavour around here. The ingredients are super fresh and high-quality, and the prices are reasonable. I'd recommend it to anyone!

Ordered Hungry Panda on 15th of August. I realised I bit on something sharp like a needle, and found out what is believed to be from the kitchen cleaning steel ball. I have reported the issue to hungry panda. I am just trying to raise awareness to such cleanliness and safety issues, which can be really dangerous if I have swallowed.

had to wait 30 minutes to eat burnt fried rice and was really looking forward to the tomyum as i had it before and it was amazing the first time i had it but this time it just takes like 70% fatty coconut milk and 30% soup. its like they accidently dumped too much of the milk in my soup. let the waitress know that the fried rice was burnt but she just told me that its "flavour of the wok". the quality has gone down since they got busier.

Went in today for lunch. Ordered a Pad See Ew, and received this. Being half-thai, I was obviously aware that this isn't what Pad See Ew normally looks like. Only when I asked the waiter if they had gotten my order wrong did they tell me that they didn't actually have the right type of noodle in stock. This was particularly frustrating to me because I wouldn't have ordered this dish, or anything else if this had been communicated to me from the start. I specifically went to this restaurant to eat Pad See Ew, and discovering that they didn't even have the right type of noodle AFTER the dish had already arrived was quite an unpleasant experience. The waiter tried to tell me that the dish was still prepared like Pad See Ew, even if the noodles aren't the right type. I thought that was a ridculous excuse. If you make japanese ramen with italian pasta, it's not exactly ramen anymore, is it? To their credit, the dish that arrived did taste good.

This is my first time coming to Thai House Cafe. I came with a couple of friends who are regulars here. After some stellar recommendations from my friends, I ordered the first thing on the menu. However, this was the Thai House special pork leg stew rice. This was delicious and came in a sweet soy sauce, the pickle vegetables added a lovely sourness to the meal! Would definitely recommend and come back again 😁

I chose to have crispy pork belly with rice and as you can in the attached, very little pieces of pork belly with huge amounts of cabbages came. I am so disappointed that they charged £13.95 for this dish while other Thai restaurants in Newcastle can offer better portion for this meal. Not worth at all !!!

The taste was bland. The meat in the two dishes was dry. It doesn't feel like Thai food at all. The food looks much nicer from the reviews, and I specified the spicy level as medium, not asking for it to be unseasoned. What I've got are colourless and flavourless dishes. What I mean by medium is that I do want to have the flavour of chilli, but not too spicy, because I know some Thai foods can be very spicy. The portion of the food is good👍🏻

Amazing! I ordered their classic Kao Kha Moo and Thai milk tea. They were so good!!! You have to try their classic dish if you pass by omg! The price was also reasonable. And the staff were so friendly and nice. Highly recommended!! Will come back for more!

My friends and I went to this place today The food was so yummy especially number 7 Kao Rad Pad Kra Pao. We ordered some Thai noodles and it tastes great. Moo Manow is unbelievable and authentic!!! The Thai dessert is fabulous not too sweet and looks fabulous. We met three girl staffs. They came with smile and very kind and helpful to us. Will come back again for sure!

Went here with the family for dinner after hearing rave reviews from friends. The waitress took our order wrong even though my wife corrected it during ordering. They brought out the wrong soup and when we said so, simply took the bowl and disappeared. Then they brought my dish without the extra topping I ordered, my daughter's with meat though she ordered veg. Again when we pointed this out, they brought out topping but more than we ordered and 10 mins later, after flagging down waiter two more times. And they charged us for extras they brought though it was their mix up. No apologies, no nothing. On top of everything, half the dishes were cold when served. The drinks are priced ridiculously, so overall what a dampener of a meal and service!

My husband and I had dinner at Thai House Newca in Newcastle. We ordered pork leg rice, Pad Thai, skewered chicken fillet, and two Thai drinks. The pork leg rice was excellent, with a perfect balance of fat and lean meat. It wasn't too dry or tough. 👍🏻 My husband particularly loved the Pad Thai, praising its deliciousness and authentic sweet and sour flavors, which surpassed other Thai restaurants in the UK. 👍🏻 The only downside was that the skewered chicken was dry and tough, making it difficult to eat. Regarding the environment, the seating arrangement in the restaurant was quite tight. We were placed in the middle of two tables, with the seats attached to each other. There was hardly any space to even take off my coat. When guests at the adjacent table needed to leave, the table had to be moved to create a passage, which made the dining experience inconvenient. However, despite this, the overall food was very good, and the portions were satisfying. I would visit again and hope for a more comfortable seating arrangement next time.

All in all, it’s good. Wish the Kao Kha Moo was a bit tender as every review I read said it’s so tender.

Also they serve the famous Thai milk tea 🥰 my fav dish has to be the pork leg stew, Tom yum soup with prawn, and papaya salad (Thai style). The portion size was huge, at the end of the meal we have to roll ourselves out the door lol

Panang curry is my favorite. I’ve eaten it all over the world. Thai even have a special word for this amount of liquid in a dish, it's called "kluk klik". It’s just enough liquid to cover the meat. This was served as a soup curry. When choosing beef you can buy cheap cuts and cook a long time, or tender ones and just a few minutes. This beef was very tough, and was not fully cut leaving me fighting a huge piece of meat with a fork and chop sticks. The flavor was good, but I left half my dish.

I purchased a delivery of Kao Rad Pad Me with Chicken and a portion of coconut rice last night from this establishment. It tasted fine when consumed however five hours later I awoke with stomach cramps and vomited. I also had diarrhea the whole night. The foods standards are obviously subpar to say the least. A health inspector should look into this restaurant immediately. I have requested a refund for my meal through the Hungry Panda app which is now being processed. Unfortunately I gave them a 10/10 rating on the app prematurely but are now looking at drastically altering that to 1/1. NOT RECCOMENDED.

Seen this place a few times but never got round to going as we have a baby. Was concerned about attempting to get in the cafe with our bulky pram but we were instantly greeted by the staff who went out their way to accommodate us during a busy lunch service. Food was unreal! We love Thai food. We’ve never been to Thailand so we heard that this places was as authentic as it gets. The menu was so different to anything I’ve seen before and we asked for suggestions as it all sounded fab! The waitress advised us on what to chose and we literally couldn’t fault her advice as the food was lush. We also chose a Pink lemonade which was amazing but also beautiful to look at. The cafe was packed and the food looked fantastic, we were constantly looking about trying to work out what we’d be getting next time we were in. I have no idea what food in Thailand is like but I imagine this is pretty much it. Looking forward to our next visit soon. Little gem of a cafe!

Food was so greasy and sweet, like another reviewer we both felt very queasy after eating the noodles. Strange smell and was nothing like the noodles I had in Thailand. I ordered Pad See Ew and it wasn’t the wide rice noodles like you would expect, just regular rice noodles. Did not enjoy and won’t be returning. No atmosphere.

Absolutely amazing place!! We totally love it. So authentic and delicious food. The staff are so lovely and courteous and today I had meant to say I needed a doggy bag for my curry as we didn't want to waste any of the delicious food but was distracted and the food was taken away but the owner insisted I had another whole curry for free! An amazing assortment of classic, local Thai dishes to choose from (including delicious Thai tea drinks!!). Staff were absolutely delightful and very helpful with me (I have to check foods because of my allergies). The atmosphere was super relaxed and casual, defo a great spot for a chilled lunch or dinner with friends. 1000/1000 HIGHLY recommend ♥️
