Amazing Thai food ! One of the best I ever had in England . Great and friendly service !! Very authentic.

My partner and I visited this place a few days ago, but I only just got the time to write a review. We both ordered the Chicken Pad Thai, and the flavors were incredible authentic and just like the Pad Thai I had during my holiday in ChiangMai, Thailand. We were so impressed and so lovely. If we have the chance to visit Newcastle again, we’ll definitely be back. The atmosphere was relaxed, the place was busy, but the staff were lovely and friendly. The server she had checked in on us often to make sure everything was okay and even gave us tips on how to enhance the flavors our noodles. Truly a memorable experience!

Ordered 3 meals two vegan one normal waiting for ages then the normal meal came gave it to me then they said the other meals were not vegan so didn't bother making them, there curry is not vegan they said it.was but half an hour later they said it wasn't absolutely terrible service and had to go to another restaurant to get food for the two that didn't get there food

struggled to find authentic thai food in newcastle until i found this place!!! yes you got the crispy pork belly!!!! and the servers running around yelling!!!! if this doesnt sound good to you dont come here, but to me this was so perfect. i believe its byob too!

The most authentic Thai food in Newcastle 💯👍🏻 I ordered crispy pork belly basil and traditional papaya salad with poo para. It was really really good and came with big portions.

I visited here a few weeks ago, and I was not disappointed. They serve many authentic and lesser known thai dishes that you won't find in many thai restaurants in the UK. I had the kuay jub, and it was delicious, it tasted just like when I ate it in Bangkok. The staff were also extremely friendly, I had a good conversation with them about Thailand.

Tiny cafe. The space between tables are so small. It’s inevitable to rub your bum against another table when you get in or out. And it’s so easy to hurt yourself on the protruding part of the wooden sofa.I ordered pork leg stew which was nice. But they charged 50pence for hot water and 40pence for take away box. I won’t recommend the cafe to my friend or go there again.

I've been living in the UK for a while now, and I must say, this place serves up some seriously authentic Thai food. It's hard to find this kind of flavour around here. The ingredients are super fresh and high-quality, and the prices are reasonable. I'd recommend it to anyone!

Ordered Hungry Panda on 15th of August. I realised I bit on something sharp like a needle, and found out what is believed to be from the kitchen cleaning steel ball. I have reported the issue to hungry panda. I am just trying to raise awareness to such cleanliness and safety issues, which can be really dangerous if I have swallowed.

had to wait 30 minutes to eat burnt fried rice and was really looking forward to the tomyum as i had it before and it was amazing the first time i had it but this time it just takes like 70% fatty coconut milk and 30% soup. its like they accidently dumped too much of the milk in my soup. let the waitress know that the fried rice was burnt but she just told me that its "flavour of the wok". the quality has gone down since they got busier.

Our 5th time visiting, and never disappointed! By far the best Thai food I've had outside of Thailand. All the staff are so friendly and helpful, especially as we had our 2 year old with us this time. Definitely worth a visit! We come down from Edinburgh especially to eat here 😋

Went in today for lunch. Ordered a Pad See Ew, and received this. Being half-thai, I was obviously aware that this isn't what Pad See Ew normally looks like. Only when I asked the waiter if they had gotten my order wrong did they tell me that they didn't actually have the right type of noodle in stock. This was particularly frustrating to me because I wouldn't have ordered this dish, or anything else if this had been communicated to me from the start. I specifically went to this restaurant to eat Pad See Ew, and discovering that they didn't even have the right type of noodle AFTER the dish had already arrived was quite an unpleasant experience. The waiter tried to tell me that the dish was still prepared like Pad See Ew, even if the noodles aren't the right type. I thought that was a ridculous excuse. If you make japanese ramen with italian pasta, it's not exactly ramen anymore, is it? To their credit, the dish that arrived did taste good.

This is my first time coming to Thai House Cafe. I came with a couple of friends who are regulars here. After some stellar recommendations from my friends, I ordered the first thing on the menu. However, this was the Thai House special pork leg stew rice. This was delicious and came in a sweet soy sauce, the pickle vegetables added a lovely sourness to the meal! Would definitely recommend and come back again 😁

I chose to have crispy pork belly with rice and as you can in the attached, very little pieces of pork belly with huge amounts of cabbages came. I am so disappointed that they charged £13.95 for this dish while other Thai restaurants in Newcastle can offer better portion for this meal. Not worth at all !!!

The taste was bland. The meat in the two dishes was dry. It doesn't feel like Thai food at all. The food looks much nicer from the reviews, and I specified the spicy level as medium, not asking for it to be unseasoned. What I've got are colourless and flavourless dishes. What I mean by medium is that I do want to have the flavour of chilli, but not too spicy, because I know some Thai foods can be very spicy. The portion of the food is good👍🏻

Amazing! I ordered their classic Kao Kha Moo and Thai milk tea. They were so good!!! You have to try their classic dish if you pass by omg! The price was also reasonable. And the staff were so friendly and nice. Highly recommended!! Will come back for more!

My friends and I went to this place today The food was so yummy especially number 7 Kao Rad Pad Kra Pao. We ordered some Thai noodles and it tastes great. Moo Manow is unbelievable and authentic!!! The Thai dessert is fabulous not too sweet and looks fabulous. We met three girl staffs. They came with smile and very kind and helpful to us. Will come back again for sure!

Went here with the family for dinner after hearing rave reviews from friends. The waitress took our order wrong even though my wife corrected it during ordering. They brought out the wrong soup and when we said so, simply took the bowl and disappeared. Then they brought my dish without the extra topping I ordered, my daughter's with meat though she ordered veg. Again when we pointed this out, they brought out topping but more than we ordered and 10 mins later, after flagging down waiter two more times. And they charged us for extras they brought though it was their mix up. No apologies, no nothing. On top of everything, half the dishes were cold when served. The drinks are priced ridiculously, so overall what a dampener of a meal and service!

My husband and I had dinner at Thai House Newca in Newcastle. We ordered pork leg rice, Pad Thai, skewered chicken fillet, and two Thai drinks. The pork leg rice was excellent, with a perfect balance of fat and lean meat. It wasn't too dry or tough. 👍🏻 My husband particularly loved the Pad Thai, praising its deliciousness and authentic sweet and sour flavors, which surpassed other Thai restaurants in the UK. 👍🏻 The only downside was that the skewered chicken was dry and tough, making it difficult to eat. Regarding the environment, the seating arrangement in the restaurant was quite tight. We were placed in the middle of two tables, with the seats attached to each other. There was hardly any space to even take off my coat. When guests at the adjacent table needed to leave, the table had to be moved to create a passage, which made the dining experience inconvenient. However, despite this, the overall food was very good, and the portions were satisfying. I would visit again and hope for a more comfortable seating arrangement next time.

All in all, it’s good. Wish the Kao Kha Moo was a bit tender as every review I read said it’s so tender.

Good place for a quick cafe style Thai food. The food is authentic like you are in Thailand. Also they serve the famous Thai milk tea 🥰 my fav dish has to be the pork leg stew, Tom yum soup with prawn, and papaya salad (Thai style). The portion size was huge, at the end of the meal we have to roll ourselves out the door lol

Panang curry is my favorite. I’ve eaten it all over the world. Thai even have a special word for this amount of liquid in a dish, it's called "kluk klik". It’s just enough liquid to cover the meat. This was served as a soup curry. When choosing beef you can buy cheap cuts and cook a long time, or tender ones and just a few minutes. This beef was very tough, and was not fully cut leaving me fighting a huge piece of meat with a fork and chop sticks. The flavor was good, but I left half my dish.

Seen this place a few times but never got round to going as we have a baby. Was concerned about attempting to get in the cafe with our bulky pram but we were instantly greeted by the staff who went out their way to accommodate us during a busy lunch service. Food was unreal! We love Thai food. We’ve never been to Thailand so we heard that this places was as authentic as it gets. The menu was so different to anything I’ve seen before and we asked for suggestions as it all sounded fab! The waitress advised us on what to chose and we literally couldn’t fault her advice as the food was lush. We also chose a Pink lemonade which was amazing but also beautiful to look at. The cafe was packed and the food looked fantastic, we were constantly looking about trying to work out what we’d be getting next time we were in. I have no idea what food in Thailand is like but I imagine this is pretty much it. Looking forward to our next visit soon. Little gem of a cafe!

I purchased a delivery of Kao Rad Pad Me with Chicken and a portion of coconut rice last night from this establishment. It tasted fine when consumed however five hours later I awoke with stomach cramps and vomited. I also had diarrhea the whole night. The foods standards are obviously subpar to say the least. A health inspector should look into this restaurant immediately. I have requested a refund for my meal through the Hungry Panda app which is now being processed. Unfortunately I gave them a 10/10 rating on the app prematurely but are now looking at drastically altering that to 1/1. NOT RECCOMENDED.

Food was so greasy and sweet, like another reviewer we both felt very queasy after eating the noodles. Strange smell and was nothing like the noodles I had in Thailand. I ordered Pad See Ew and it wasn’t the wide rice noodles like you would expect, just regular rice noodles. Did not enjoy and won’t be returning. No atmosphere.

Absolutely amazing place!! We totally love it. So authentic and delicious food. The staff are so lovely and courteous and today I had meant to say I needed a doggy bag for my curry as we didn't want to waste any of the delicious food but was distracted and the food was taken away but the owner insisted I had another whole curry for free! The food at this place is absolutely delicious. Sooo authentic I felt like I was back in Thailand!!! An amazing assortment of classic, local Thai dishes to choose from (including delicious Thai tea drinks!!). Staff were absolutely delightful and very helpful with me (I have to check foods because of my allergies). The atmosphere was super relaxed and casual, defo a great spot for a chilled lunch or dinner with friends. 1000/1000 HIGHLY recommend ♥️

I wasn't going to write a review but I saw this had 4.5 which is a lie in my opinion. From the moment I entered the restaurant it was dead even tho there was people inside. I was sat with my friend literally felt like the same table as the other white couple and was really uncomfortable. I could hear a pin drop in the restaurant. No atmosphere at all. Table service was abysmal I had to get my waitresses attention I wasn't sure if she was going to take our order I felt abandoned. Food was INEDIBLE my prawns still had there heads on so the brains was squrting everywhere. My tomyum soup was separated I could barely breath there was so much chilli but I was so hungry I had to eat something. My tempura prawns were like corn dog prawns with the head left on!! I took a bite into prawns brains. I was almost sick. And lastly they had nothing I wanted on there menu but didn't tell.me this I was very disappointed and embarrassed as I had to choose things I didn't want cos I qas hungry and in the end my Noodles were sticking together smothered in oil tasted bland and rancid. I took them back as I couldn't eat it. Was disgusting my friends food looked like toilet water. I will not be going back and people deserve to know how bad this restaurant is. Please don't waste your money I had so many high expectations but was let down hard. Waste of money and way over priced. If u have no taste buds or standards will enjoy this place

Authentic but not spicy Thai food in Newcastle. Would recommend: papaya salad, fried intestine and pork salad (nam tok moo) Fried intestines for me was the best in this restaurant. Crispy, crunchy yet juicy.

Very poor service, four of us ordered meals and drinks, 20 minutes later 3 of us got drinks. Had to ask for 4th drink. After 35 minutes 1 dish was placed on table no explanation of what it was. It did not look like our food. Asked where other food was and told on its way. 40 minutes in asked where food was as tables who ordered after us now had food. We were told 5 minutes. Asked again and told there had been a mistake and food would take another 10 minutes as the order had not been placed. By this time we had waited an hour and my son had eaten the dish put on the table as he needed to catch his train. Total shambles, asked to cancel meals and was told no they would be served in 15 minutes, we expressed our need to get a train and cancelled, we were then given a bill for the random meal and drinks (we now believe the meal belonged to another table as they said that they had not placed our order), the meal they charged for was not what had been served. I asked for them to address this and they decided not to charge for any of the meal. Sadly they ruined a final meal with my son before he returned to uni, the whole experience was disappointing. Ive eaten here before and found the food good but the service chaos, However this was worse than ever. I won't be back.

Amazing taste of Thailand. Authentic food that is just an amazing flavour treat for your senses. Its not licensed so went for an ice tea, just wow, not tasted any thing like that either. If you want real Thailand in an amazing atmosphere go where the Thai people go in Newcastle. Can not recommend this place enough.

Amazing, authentic Thai cuisine, busy, great food and great service, fast, efficient. I went in with my cousin for a quick starter as I had a train to catch but look forward to another visit for dinner sometime.

Waited a long time for takeaway. 3 sorry looking chicken skewers. Beef pad thai - one piece of poor quality, tough beef put on a very mediocre pad thai… tasteless, bizarre & not ideal with chopsticks… not what you expect for top prices.

Last time I visited I experienced poor service here bordering on rude. When we walked in the staff took a very long time to decide where to seat us while they chatted amongst themselves back and forth, consulting with an elderly lady (presumably owner) who seemed generally unhappy to see us. No clue why! We still went along and ordered food which turned out quite average. We have had better food here on earlier visits. When they brought the bill out, they slammed it down on our table a little too hard. It's almost like they didn't want us there! Regardless of the food quality, I will not be returning ofcourse to be treated so poorly for no apparent reason.

I don’t know why, maybe because the food is really salty and sugary; but every time we had their food, we got sick. We went there last week to give it another try, but I don’t think we’ll go back again. Curry was more expensive than other types of food, but it tasted like curry paste with water. Really watery but salty. The Thai House special meal we had before then was the best food they can offer I would say(and many other people were eating that), but that made us sick as well.

Best Thai food we have ever had at very reasonable prices. We opted for prawn tempura, pork wontons, chicken satay, prawn Pad Thai and beef Penang curry with coconut rice. All flavours were amazing and all ingredients fresh. Lovely service, we arrived late on lunch service and whilst advised the kitchen was closing soon never felt rushed to finish our meal. We will certainly be back to explore more on the extensive menu.

This authentic Thai restaurant has many original Thai taste food. The service is also great. The food was served quite fast after ordering. Perfect choice for people who wants to try the real Thai taste food.

I love this place! Every time in Newcastle, need to visit it. Even a small thing as fried rice tastes better here. From outside it does not look like much but definitely recommend. One of the best Thai food I have tried in the uk. Long list of gluten and dairy free options!

This will be my favourite thai restaurant in UK that I’ve tried so far. Authentic taste thai dishes especially Tom Yum soup and papaya salad. They have a small food stall selling takeouts and curries on Sunday. I will definitely visit again when I come back to Newcastle.

We had two meals, two starters & not one of them could be described as authentic or tasty. It was cold inside the venue, loo has been out of order for months and the place was freezing cold, the food was tepid, the chicken satay was warmed up & looked like it had been boiled, had no taste & had been nowhere near a grill & to finish it off, the sauce was chilli hot & not a satay sauce in the traditional sense, the Thai fishcakes were full of a spongey like goo, not enough fresh ingredients in it. It wasn't cheap considering the venue, location & quality of the food, £65, no iced tea of any description & the drinks were stupid prices for what they were, overall really poor quality, overpriced & a pretty cold bleak venue, not for me, I've got slightly higher standards than that, ZAAP would have been better based on my past experiences & they are a lot cheaper than this place. One to cross off the list for sure.
